Sweet! I'm snagging a copy now but I'll still be on the lookout for the remix of SoA's opening theme. I think that one is my favorite of the three. |

That one I like too so I'll keep an eye out for you! Now I'll just leave this here, from a review. 'on seeing Sumo's recreation of Skies of Arcadia, the game's original producer was reportedly moved close to tears. When, on the third and final lap of a race within the world of Arcadia, the village crumbles away and all the racers take to the sky to dart between battling galleons, there may well be others who can't hold the waterworks back.' I think the origianl producer liked what he saw. (^_^) |

It's probably the same for a lot of fans. We're all likely to be less moved by it because we practically live in Arcadia but people who played SoA during the Dreamcast era and remember it fondly will really enjoy this particular cameo. Hopefully the nostalgia will stir up some interest in the game again and net us a couple of new members. |

Not really too much related to SoA but more to the game. SUMO has released a list of characters that could become DLC and it is a good list. However only 3 will become DLC in the future and they have to gain 1000+ each from different people before December. Now I have looked at the list and I'm sad to say there are no SoA characters on it, however, Miku is and I know some of you here seem to like her. Good News is she is in the lead and could soon be racing along side Vyse. O_o |

Hatsune Miku was pretty much a shoe-in the second they put her name on the list of options. I hate to admit it but I'd probably vote for her over Aika anyway. Will the downloadable characters also get their own tracks and theme songs? |

They have not said anything about new tracks but the last game when they made Metal Sonic as DLC he got his own track. Well it was Eggman's space station but it came with Metal Sonic. So I would guess no unless they say something later on. As for theme songs, each character has an 'All-Star' move they can pick up and use if they are not doing that well which while activated causes that character's theme song to play over the track musice while the attack is in use. Now as much as I wanted to vote for Miku there was another character on there I could not pass on. ^^; Sakura Shinguji from Sakura Taisen, Great game and even better anime and manga! For thoese of you that don't know her, Taisho style samurai girl who uses a pink steam powered mech to fight demons in old Japan! |

So I have just unlocked Vyse tonight and he is great in his car/boat thing. The track based on SoA has so much going on. If anyone wants I can post a video or two up? I have an ingame licence which you can attach 3 'stickers'. One of these I unlocked was none other than Fina's flag for the Delphinus! If you want a photo I'll take one. One last thing, the stuff Vyse says. Out of all his sayings my favorite so far has to be, 'Even the Valuan Empire can not catch me!' XD Edited by Daiohma, Dec 1 2012, 09:13 PM.

A few pics or videos would be pretty sweet if you get time to post them. It's as close as I can get to playing it myself right now I'm afraid. EDIT: I finally found a decent copy of the intro theme for the Rogue's Landing track. Enjoy! Edited by Jet Blackbeard, Dec 1 2012, 09:22 PM.

The remixes are so damn cool! If they made a new game it would be cool if they revamped some of the music like this. |

I skip the intro to every track I race on but that one! I just have to hear that music each time. XD I'll see about getting a video or two up as the SoA track has a few different paths that are different each round so you do miss a few things and can't see them all in one race. Don't forgeth S&asrT is coming to PCs if you can play games on your PC. As of now the US release is still down as TBA 2012. The remixes are great but SEGA have been releasing 'HD' ports of their old games and to be honest they are not that much better than the originals. Sonic adventure 2, Nights into dreams and Jet Set Radio don't look that much better. SoA is strongly rumored to get one of these 'HD' releases on modern consoles but if you own a copy of the original on Dreamcast or Gamecube I can't see whay anyone would buy it. All we can hope is that todays new younger gamers become so interested in it that the fan base expands and we get a remake and or sequal! |
