(OOC - Karl is out so now it's down to Daioh and myself for the second stage.)

"Stand and deliver!" Viktor called out to Ned. He grinned fiercely as the security guard was sent stumbling in his direction. He was only a few feet away with the wily old man raised his metallic leg to kick the fellow right in the mush.

Unfortunately the guard hit home with more force than was anticipated and Viktor was knocked off of his remaining foot. He fell backwards to the floor. "Ooof!" He grunted as the air was driven from his lungs. The old scientist gasped for breath and began to rise.

"GRAB HIM!" Came the angry voice of the security chief from nearby. Viktor had barely gotten his arms beneath him when four of the guards leapt on top of him, wrestling him right back down again. The old man struggled fiercely but could not overcome so many men in such an awkward position.

"@#$& THE POLICE!" Viktor screamed as they rolled him onto his stomach and bound his arms behind his back. He was then escorted out of the country club, leaving Annie and Ned to carry on.

~

Annie dashed across the patio with three of the guards in hot pursuit. As she reached the small gate leading out onto the golf course she found her way blocked by a pair of men who were taking a break from their game to grab a bit to eat.

"I got par for this hole but I didn't do so well on the last one." One of the men was saying as he opened the gate for the other.

"Yes but you're still ahead in the scores." The other responded. "So don't feel so....AAAAHHHH!"

The man screamed as Annie barreled into him, knocking him flat and trodding across his chest. "Move it or lose it nut-hugger!" She yelled down at him.

"Well I never..." His partner began.

"And you never will!" Annie cut him off. She was about to move on when she spotted the bag of golf clubs he was carrying. "Gimme that." She growled, seizing one of the drivers in her sweaty grip and yanking it from the bag.

The golfer opened his mouth to protest but Annie dashed off before he could say anything more. Instead he stooped down to help his fallen partner back to his feet. "You okay down there? You took a nasty AAAAHHHH!"

The second golfer was knocked flat as the security guards ploughed through the gate after Annie.

~

"Where'd she go?" One of the guards grumbled as he and the other two milled about the fairway in confusion. "She couldn't have gotten far."

Together the three guards cast about the area in search of some sign of Annie. As the one had said; she couldn't have run so far as to leave their sight. Nor were there many places to hide.

"She's around here somewhere." A second guard stated. "Fan out and....wait, hold on." He cut himself off when he spotted something on the ground. They were all standing next to the water hazard on the hole and there was a fresh boot print in the sand along its bank. Not a golf-regulation boot either. A combat boot.

"She definitely came this way." The third guard said. "But where did she..."

Suddenly the surface of the water erupted in a spray of motion as Annie rose violently from beneath. "Reeeearrrrgh!" She screamed at them, startling them all as she brandished the golf club like a gun. And then she froze. The guards stared at her and she stared right back at them for a few awkward seconds. The sound of water dripping off of her and back into the pond was the only sound to be heard.

"Yeah, see, this would have been a helluva lot more awesome if this were a real gun." Annie explained irritably, nodding downward at the golf club she was holding.

"GET HER!" The first guard yelled.

"FORE!" A voice called in the distance.

The guards surged forward into the pond but the lead man suddenly fell face-first into the water as a small, white sphere came rocketing out of the distance to strike him in the head. Up on the tee the golfer who had struck it winced at what he'd just done.

Annie, on the other hand, was all smiles. She gave the golfer a thumbs up and then rounded on the other two guards. One of them was occupied with dragging his fallen comrade out of the pond before he drown, leaving only the last to deal with Annie. He stood ankle-deep in the water in front of her with that dheerse-in-the-torchlight look on his face until she raised her golf club and started after him.

"Oh geez....uh, help!" The guard screamed as he sloshed towards the shore as fast as he could go.

"Get back here and take your ass-whippin' like a man boy!" Annie screamed after him. Still wielding her golf club like a cudgel she slogged forward in his wake.

As Ned stamped down on one of the fallen guards he took a moment to check over his shoulder to see if the old man had received his package of his own guard, yet all he saw was the old man being taken away.
''Delivery failed!?'' Ned yelled as he turned back to face the remaining three guards who stood only a few feet from him now.
Keeping their distance from the large man.

The strange drink was no longer having the same effect on him, in fact it had almost worn off.
Yet the rage he had now was a mix of the remaining drink in his system mixed with the fact that since he had set foot inside this establishment not one person had made his job easy.
Granted he was only to deliver one package but had ended up handing out more than what he came with.

Ned raised his fists, ready to take on the guards whom he had no idea as to why they wanted him.
In his own mind he was simply doing his job to which now these men where getting in the way off.

The first guard made a move and attempted to lunge at Ned and grab him, however it was Ned who grabbed the guard.
He turned him around and shoved him backwards into a table to which Ned took the umbrella and closed it around the guard.
A small smile appeared on Colman's face,
''That's the worst parcel wrapping I have ever done.'' He picked up the umbrella wrapped man and turned to face the last two guards of this group.
''I better had return this to sender!'' He yelled as he flung the poor guard at the others, knocking them down like bowling pins.

As they hit the ground Ned took a moment to see just where the rest of the group had made off too.
He caught a glimpse of the young girl running out from the patio and into a green field.
Right on her tail was a group of the same guards.

Ned's head quickly turned to his board which was still pinned to the wall with the knife Annie had used to 'sign' it.
''He wait!'' He yelled to the guards, yet they did not seem to hear him.
''She is a preferred customer!''
Ned did not like it but all customers are preferred customers till they do something to mess up, and Annie had messed up before receiving her first ever package from them.
Her record was started the moment she signed with her knife, yet then again the day had not been completely clear to Ned thanks to that odd drink.
Like it or not Ned was not going to lose her as a customer to Regal Co.
He pulled his clip board from the wall and placed it on his belt before running off to where the guards had gone.

~

The green area turned out to be a golf course, a favorite pass time of his boss Ronald Regal.
He took a moment to scan the area but could not spot the young trouble maker, only the guards down by a small pond.

''There he is!'' A voice came from behind Ned, catching his attention.
While looking around for the girl the four guards from before had caught him up.
''That's the guy who caused the trouble!'' The second guard said as he was removing the umbrella from his comrade.
''And the guy who beat the crap out of me!'' The last guard was standing a little way back with a boot print across his chest.

They prepared themselves for the delivery man to charge them but they got a shock as he calmly walked over to them.
He took out his clipboard along with a pen and handed it to the one who seemed to lead the small group.
''Sign here, here and here.''

The guard took the clipboard for a moment, a little confused but signed the paper anyway thinking that the man had lost it and if he played along they could take him in with no problems.
''So what is this for?'' He asked as he signed.

''Delivery.'' Ned said as he took back his clipboard and checked over the papers.
''All seems in order.'' He placed it back on to his belt.
''Here is you package.'' With out warning Ned's hand became a fist as he slammed it into the guard's stomach, winding him as he fell to the floor.

The guard with the boot print on his chest made a mad dash away from the fight back to the patio as the other two got ready for round two with the man.
One of the guards took a swing at Ned, hitting him in the side yet thanks to his side he did not feel anything.
The remaining effect of the drink from before probably helped towards this too.

Colman turned and looked at the guard.
''There's something on your face.'' He raised his hand and pointed at the guards' face.
Suddenly his hand again became a fist as it smashed against the man's jaw.
''It was PAIN!!'' Ned yelled as the guard fell over and landed on top of his comrade who had fallen moments before.

The remaining guard decided to make a run for it and rushed off towards a few other guards that they had both spotted down by a small pond.
Ned started to walk towards the group as he watched a small white ball fly over head and hit one of them on the head.
In the distance he could just make out why they where all down there in the first place.
''There you are.''

Just as the frightened guard reached the shore a fourth member of his team arrived on the scene. Each one glanced nervously over his shoulder; one in Ned's direction while the other in Annie's. Each wanted to move in the opposite direction to escape their respective opponents but they wound up facing a new threat instead.

The guard Annie was in pursuit of moved to intercept Ned while the other went after Annie. It really didn't matter though. They were screwed either way...

"Oh moons, he's not breathing." The guard who was tending to his unconscious comrade whined. "I'll have to perform CPR!"

The guard took a deep breath and prepared to force the air into the unconscious man's lungs. But Annie had other plans. "Oh geez, get a room girly man!" She yelled as she planted a hard stomp on the guard's stomach. Water spurted from his mouth like a geyser. He groaned in pain and then fell back to the ground.

"You...you saved him. Thank y...AH!" The second guard gushed but fell silent when Annie whacked him atop the head with her golf club. He slumped to the ground across the chest of the first guard.

"Don't mention it." Annie snorted. "Now...where'd that other snot-rocket get off to?"

~

Annie had waded out of the pond and started back across the yard when the new guy showed up. He came trotting up to her but skidded to a halt when he saw that she still wielded the golf club. The guard raised his hands to ward her off and, to his pleasant surprise, Annie actually complied.

"Ma'am, please drop the club and come with me. Please." He stammered.

Annie considered his request and then held the golf club out for him to take. "Here ya go bub." She said, allowing the guard to disarm her. He cautiously accepted it but was once again surprised when she didn't snatch it away and bash him in the crotch with it as he was fully expecting her to do.

"Thank you for your cooperation. Now if you'll just follow me..." The guard began.

The guard turned to walk away but Annie did not fall into step behind him as he was hoping. Instead she grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him around. No sooner were they face-to-face again than Annie lifted both of her middle fingers in a double-deuce salute.

In slow motion the guard's mouth opened and he screamed; "NOOOOOOO!" And that was when Annie's booted foot raised up into his gut, doubling him over in pain. Annie wasted no time in hoisting his pencil neck up onto her shoulder and then dropping him like a sack of crap. As the guard rolled around on the ground in pain Annie extended her thumbs and forefingers like a pair of pistols and unloaded both on him.

"Bang bang mother @#$&er!" Annie screamed in triumph. "Now then! Who's next?"

Ned stood still for a moment and watched as the young girl took care of the guards around her.
''Well I guess I might no be needed.'' He said as he took out a small note book from his pocket.
''Another satisfied customer.'' He started to write down in his book.

Looking back on it the delivery was not one of his best.
The person who sent it was incompetent and as far he he could see heeded firing out of a cannon.
The recipient of the parcel, Annie, was not the best customer, in fact she was probable one of the worst.

As he looked up again one of the guards seemed to of broke away from the group that Annie was dealing with and was heading his way.
At first he thought the guard was running for his life but it soon became apparent that he was intercepting Ned.

The guard came to a stop a few feet from the large delivery man.
His leg's seemed to be shaking as he looked Ned in the eyes.

''I'll have to ask you to come with me, sir.'' The guard asked as he took a few steps closer.

''Just as soon as I have finished up here.'' Ned answered with a slight grin on his face.
''I'm not one to leave a package undelivered.''

''Package?'' The guard looked around at Ned's feet but could not spot anything that looked like a package.

Just then Ned lunged forwards, his right hand out in a fist that landed point blank into the guard's face.
Before the man could fall over backwards Ned's fist opened up and he grabbed the guard by the collar of his uniform.

''This one needs wrapping!'' Ned yelled as he raised the guard over his head.
Still holding the guard in the air Ned lowered himself down onto on knee, then without warning smashed the guard's back down over his leg.
The injured guard rolled onto the ground in pain, not able to move as Ned stood back up and took a hold of his legs.
He then lifted the man into the air and twisted his legs and arms together, then taking the man's belt tied them together so that he resembled something that looked like a ball.

''Now we just need a stamp!'' Ned said as the remains of the strange drink where going to his head.
He dropped the ball shaped package of a man and raised his leg above his face.
''This package has been approved!'' Ned yelled as his foot slammed into the guard's face.

At the point the poor man was on the edge of being knocked out but just managed to hang in there.
Ned then picked the man up and once again held him above his head.
However he did not drop the guard but instead started to run towards Annie, picking up speed.

"Now then! Who's next?" Annie yelled out which caused Ned to smile as if she was ready for his gift.

''Special delivery! Air mail!'' Ned yelled over to her as he suddenly stopped on the spot, using the speed he picked up while running to swing his arms and launch the 'package' towards Annie.

"Special delivery!" Ned's loud voice caught Annie's attention and she turned to glare at him. "Air mail!" No sooner had he accepted her challenge than the hog-tied guard came flying through the air towards her.

"Oh shi~" Annie began but it was too late. The guard crashed into her like a cannonball and bore her to the ground. In his bound-up state he rolled off of her just as quickly, leaving Annie lying flat on her back, staring up at the sky. She was dazed for a few seconds but soon recovered.

Annie sat up groggily, clutching her chest where the guard had flattened her. She got her hands beneath her and hoisted herself to her feet. As she did so Annie felt the golf club's familiar grip beneath her palm and she brought it up with her. Then she turned to face Ned, her lips split by a bloodthirsty grin.

"Guess I owe ya a tip then?" Annie smirked. "Lemme add it up real quick. One...two...three...FORE!"

With the last word hanging in the air between them Annie lunged forward and swung the golf club as if she were teeing off. But it wasn't a golf ball she was aiming for. It was Ned's balls....

As the deliveryman doubled over in pain Annie ran up and grabbed him around the neck. Just like the guard only a moment ago she planted Ned face-first on the ground. "Guess that'll learn ya!" Annie yelled down at his prone form.

Annie was considering what else she could do to further harm Ned when the guards who had been escorting Viktor out of the clubhouse arrived. "There's the other two!" One of them yelled, pointing out the two of them. "Let's get them!"

One of the men rushed over to where Ned was laying. He pulled out a pair of handcuffs and bent down to bind the deliveryman's hands. The other two surrounded Annie and moved in to subdue her.

"Ma'am, we don't want to hurt you!" One of the men warned her.

"Please stop resisting!" The other one added.

"I'll resist all I damn well please!" Annie screamed back at them. "And I damn sure want to hurt you jabronis so come get some!"

Ned watched as his 'parcel' flew towards Annie.
Just like with the old man before Ned planned on taking out the guards as a team and so sending the guards off in such a way should of been an easy target for Annie to finish off.
However as he watched it quickly turned out that either his aim was too good or Annie was just not paying much attention to the skies as the guard crashed into her.

Not what Ned had planned at all.
He expected the young girl to spot the guard flying at her at finish him off but what started as an attempt at team work against the guards turned into something else.

"Guess I owe ya a tip then?" Annie ran at him with the golf club in hand.
Before Ned could explain that he planned on teaming up she swung the golf club into Ned's own 'package', causing the large man to fall over in pain.
"Guess that'll learn ya!" Annie said as she took his face and planted it into the ground.

''Last time I bother to help anyone.'' Ned mumbled with a mouth full of dirt.

Just then the guards from before came over to them, almost by surprise.
Two of them surrounded Ned's would be partner turned opponent once more while the third bent down and tried to bind the delivery man's hands together.

Ned saw the handcuffs and knew if they where placed on his hands it wold be game over for him.
He let the guard get as close as he dared with the cuffs and then Ned reached out and took a hold of his arm.
Before the guard knew it his own two hands had been cuffed together as Ned picked himself up, lifting the guard off the ground by the cuffs that now bind his hands together.

Colman took the guard's legs and pushed them up between his chest and cuffs, yet again making a ball shape out of a man.
''Parcel check!'' Ned yelled in his face.
''Stamp?'' He punched the guard square in the face.
''Check!''

Still holing the cuffs chain he tossed the man into the air above him.
As he flew high above the delivery man Ned looked around at he feet and picked up one of the few dropped golf clubs that the people who where enjoying a pleasant day had dropped as Ned and Annie had entered the golf course.

''Special delivery!'' Ned yelled as he held the club up,
The 'ball' shaped parcel of a guard fell back down as as he passed Ned the large man took a swing at him, sending him soaring into one of the guards that had surrounded Annie.
''That's how you take out unwanted mail!''

He then dropped the club and reached for his groin, trying to ease off the pain a little.

(OOC - This is the final round of combat so get your parting shots in.)

"Give up little girl." One of the guards sneered. "You can't handle the both of us."

Annie quirked an eyebrow at him. "You not keepin' score or somethin'? I could demolish a whole squad of you panty-waists before breakfast."

"It's two on one." The other guard added his two copper's worth to the exchange. "Better give up if you know what's good for you."

Suddenly the guard was brushed aside by one of his comrades who had come flying through the air courtesy of Ned. "Uh...might want to take a recount there bub." Annie snickered to the first guard.

"I don't need any help to take you down!" The guard shot back as he lunged forward, aiming a swing of his wooden club at Annie's head.

Annie nimbly stepped out of the club's path and then drove a stiff punch into the guard's ribcage while he was still recovering from the swing. He grunted in pain but managed to reverse his swing, bringing his club back around in a wicked backhanded strike. Annie ducked beneath the attack and then rose again. As she did so her fist came with her, connecting with the underside of the guard's jaw with an uppercut.

This time the guard reeled back and Annie was there to capitalize on the opening. "Lights OUT sucker!" She yelled as she wound up to deliver a hay-maker to the bridge of his nose. The guard tipped backwards on his heels and fell to the ground, unconscious.

"That's what I'm TALKIN' ABOUT!" Annie crowed triumphantly, pumping her fist in the air. "Anybody else want to get in on this action?"

~

As if in response to her bravado the three of the guards who had previously been put down finally returned to the scene. They looked just as beat up and angry as Annie and Ned did right now but it was clear that they all wanted to take another crack at the two of them. And leading the three men was the guard captain. He looked as fresh as a daisy and was in serious need of an ass-kicking.

"Cease this foolishness at once or I'll have you arrested!" The captain called out a warning.

Annie smirked behind her busted lip and sidled over to where Ned was standing. "I don't think this jackass knows who he's talking to." She snorted. "How's about you and me mop up the cannon-fodder before we get back down to business?" Annie winked up at the burly deliveryman.

Just then the guards surged forward to make yet another attempt at containing the two of them. "Guess I'll take those two." Annie muttered to Ned before she stepped up to meet them.

~

By this point the patio was completely deserted of patrons. They had all been ushered away by the guards, leaving their unfinished meals still sitting on the tables that remained standing. Annie was just passing by one of these when she spotted an open bottle of wine that had survived the melee.

Annie grabbed the bottle and took a long swig from it. But this time she wasn't trying to take a drink. She held the alcoholic liquid in her mouth while she fished her lighter from the pocket of her dress. "Ma'am, put down the bottle." One of the guards commanded her as they drew near. Instead Annie flicked the lighter and then exhaled the wine across the flame it produced.

A gout of flame spewed from Annie's mouth to set the guard's jacket on fire. "OH @#$&! MOONS @#$& IT!" The guard screamed in fear and pain as he threw himself to the ground and began rolling around in an attempt to extinguish the flames.

The second guard abandoned his fight with Annie and yanked a tablecloth off of a nearby table. "Hang on! I'm coming!" He called to his burning comrade. The guard threw the tablecloth over his body and began patting the flames beneath it out. The burning guard soon ceased his struggles as they were extinguished. He emerged from beneath the tablecloth, slightly singed but relatively unharmed.

That was when Annie stepped up to smash the wine bottle over the head of the first guard. He fell down atop his singed buddy, pinning him beneath his dead weight. "Dude, get off!" The guard squealed when he beheld Annie raising her foot to stomp him. He couldn't free himself in time though. The heel of Annie's combat boot came crashing down across his temple, knocking him out cold too.

"If you can't take the heat stay the @#$& out of the kitchen, bitches." Annie muttered. The smell of the guard's charred uniform gave her a craving for a cigar. She pulled one from her pocket and then lit it up. Taking a long drag from it she turned to see how Ned was getting along.

As planned this time Ned's delivery hit it's target and helped out Annie.
Ned walked over to her as she finished off the last of the guards, feeling no need to rush as she had no problem taking care of them.
That and at heart Ned was not a fighter, he would just do what ever it takes to make a delivery.

Even if this girl did not make his job easy she was still a customer and so he knew helping her was the right path right now.
After all thinking back on things this whole afternoon was starting to become a little hazy as he could not remember too much off it.
It was almost as it something had caused him to act a little out of character and even be a little more aggressive than he should of been.

He did not wonder too much about this and shrugged it off as he finally stopped a few feet from Annie.
Ned could see that she was just as beat up as he was, if not more.
Just then they noticed three men approaching them both.

"Cease this foolishness at once or I'll have you arrested!" The one who spoke did not look like he had yet been in a fight.
It was clear that he was the head of this group of guards.

Annie moved over to Ned's side, her aggression towards him seemed to of stopped for now as she was more focused on the guards.
"I don't think this jackass knows who he's talking to." She snorted.

''Then we must make it clear for him.'' Ned replied as he cracked his knuckles against one another.

"How's about you and me mop up the cannon-fodder before we get back down to business?" The young girl winked to Ned.
Without saying a word the delivery man just grinned which was a clear sign that he agreed with her.

Just then the guards attempted to make a move on the two.
"Guess I'll take those two." Annie muttered as she reached for a glass bottle from one of the nearby tables.

~

Lucky for Ned the patio was by now deserted of anyone other then themselves and the guards.
More than likely they had all been advised to leave the area by the guard captain after his own men had been taken down by Annie and himself.

The guard rushed at Ned, his fist flew right for Colman's face but the delivery man was ready, not to mention fled up with constantly being attacked for doing his job.
It wasn't the first time he had been attacked for doing his job yet he did deliver the package today in a very violent way.

Ned took his hat from head head and held it out just in time for the guard's hand to go inside of it.
While still holding his hat Ned twisted it around the Guard's hand trapping it inside.
He then swung his arms around to his right, as the guard's hand was trapped twisted in the hat that Ned was holding onto meant he was taken along for the ride and was flung into the air.

The Guard landed a few feet away from the other two guards that had been taken down by Annie as she stood a top of them, smoking away on her cigar as if it was just another day's work for the young girl.

''Just you, me and one more delivery.'' Ned pointed towards the captain of the guards.
Then without warning Ned charged at the captain, lowering his body while reaching out with his arms.
He tackled the captain and sent him falling over backwards while landing on top of him.

Ned then got up and in doing so picked the captain up by the collar of his neck.
In his other hand Ned had picked up one of the many dropped golf clubs.

''We have a special offer today! Two for the price of one!'' Ned said as he turned to Annie and casually tossed the Golf Club in her direction in a way that would make it easy to catch.
No sooner as the club left Ned's hand he put both hands on the captain's shoulders and spun him around twice before letting go and kicking him into Annie's direction.;
The kick and spin causing the captain to unwillingly stumble towards the girl.

Annie reached out to catch the golf club and then took a couple of practice swings with it. A couple of seconds later the guard captain was also launched in her direction. This time Annie understood what Ned was doing and thought about feeling bad for whacking him in the crotch earlier. She probably wouldn't though.

"You know, I always thought golf was a game for sissies." Annie stated as the guard captain came stumbling towards her. "I'm more of a baseball fan if you know what I mean."

As soon as the guard captain was within reach Annie wound up and swung the golf club like a baseball bat. The club caught the captain square across the side of the head and the impact spun him around a complete 360 degrees. When he was once again face-to-face with Annie he was already unconscious on his feet.

The guard captain's knees gave out on him and he sank to the ground, falling flat on his face at Annie's feet. "You're OUT OF THERE!" She yelled down at him, jerking her thumb over her shoulder.

And thus the battle ended.

~

The patio was devoid of anyone except for Annie, Ned and a bunch of unconscious guards. Frightened diners peered at the carnage from the dining room windows, uncertain of what would happen next.

Fortunately the violence was at its end. The effects of the strange concoction Annie and Ned had swallowed earlier was all but out of their systems by now and there was no one left to fight aside from one another.

Annie thought briefly about taking another swing at Ned but decided not to. As much fun as the afternoon had been she was tired and hurting in places that she didn't know she had. Plus the irate deliveryman seemed like someone she should get along with and Annie couldn't even recall why she'd wanted to wail on him in the first place.

"Yo....mister." Annie called out to Ned. She squinted to read his name tag as she approached. "Ned. You're tougher than a 2 copper steak." Annie told him. She held up a hand to reveal the tattered box he'd been delivering to her earlier in the day. "I guess this is a done deal." Annie continued before turning to walk away.

"Catch you on the flip-flop!" Annie called back over her shoulder before entering the restaurant to retrieve her guns.

~

From the patio Ned would be able to see the mysterious man in the black suit stop Annie and have a few words with her before the two of them parted once again.

As Annie left through the front door the man in black came out onto the patio to address Ned. "Congratulations on a job well done." He said in an oily voice. "And here's the pay you were promised." He continued, reaching into his pocket to withdraw a small bag that jingled with the sound of the coins that filled it.

"If we ever need another delivery made I'll be sure to recommend you personally." The man in black promised as he too turned to go, leaving Ned alone on the patio.

~

The event has now ended. Once this final round is complete I'll add One Moonberry to both of our totals for completing it.

Ned looked over at Annie as the last of the guards fell at her feet.
He had managed to help a girl out who was under attack from a large group of men for reasons he did not understand.
All he knew was that she was his customer and that he was not going to let anything happen to her.

That was of course what had played out in his mind.
The fighting, attacks and everything else was pretty much just a blur now.
Of course this was all because the effect of the strange drink was not out of both their systems.

''Ned. You're tougher than a 2 copper steak." The young girl said as she squinted to see his name tag.
It was true that Ned was much larger than the typical Regal Co delivery men, but then he was the only one brave or mad enough to take on some of the most dangerous deliveries.
Today's being no exception to this.

She raised the tattered box in her hands.
"I guess this is a done deal." Annie said as she turned away.

Ned shook his head a little, knowing from the tattered box that it was one of the worst packages he has seen.
However it made it to the girl, even if it seemed empty and with no known sender.

"Catch you on the flip-flop!" Was the last he heard from the girl as she went to collect her weapons.

Ned turned his head to look at his ship in the distance, a smile appeared on his face as he felt a slight pain over his body from the fight.
''Next time, just sign.'' She said to Annie, knowing she was long out of ear shot to hear him.

As he turned back to see the last of Annie he spotted a strange man who seemed to of just done talking with the girl.
Ned had a feeling he knew him from somewhere, early on in the day.

"Congratulations on a job well done." The man said as he came outside to greet Ned.
"And here's the pay you were promised."

Ned reached out and took the bag of gold.
He did not remember taking the job but then a feeling came over him that this was the man who had sent Annie the package.
''Was it so hard to add your name to it.'' Ned muttered to himself as he looked down at his uniform, knowing that the gold was going on a new one the moment he got back to the Platform.

"If we ever need another delivery made I'll be sure to recommend you personally." The man in black promised as he did not answer Ned's question.
He turned and left Ned standing on the patio alone.

Ned found himself looking out at his ship once more.
A smile crossed his face, then suddenly he pumped his fist into the air.
''No rain or snow, no rifts or winds, no pirate or monster will stop me! I am Regal Co!''

He face went serious as his eyes shifted left to right.
''Back to work.'' He muttered as he made his way out from the area and back to his ship.
