Octavia glanced down toward the courtyard as she heard the shout, and as she looked down she saw the waving figure of the mage through the yacht’s window. She raised an eyebrow at how quickly the man had returned to the front courtyard – had he even gotten more then a few rooms into the castle’s interior, she wondered? – but she took the yacht slowly down, landing the underside of the hull upon a bare area some small distance from Cambridge’s wreck. Turning the smooth-purring engine off with a simple flick of her finger, Octavia paced across to the door and un-bolted it before pushing it open and looking out of it, down at the pair of figures. The man she recognised, but the woman was someone she’d never seen before, and Octavia frowned at that, wondering just where she might have come from. She didn’t look much like the little that Octavia had seen of the lilting defeatist, though, and unless her disguise had been exceptionally intricate, Octavia also doubted that she had been either the wrapped bomber or the bloody baron. “I didn’t find a single one of the books down there in the basement level” she huffed, tying a mooring rope to the inside of the cabin and tossing it down toward the pair “but I chanced upon this,” she patted the yacht’s frame tenderly “and thought we needed it rather more then musty old tomes of Bittermellon pie recipes. So half of anything you found, that’s my price.” Octavia stated susinctly as she began helping the pair to clamber aboard the boat, watchful of the castle entrance even as she held out her mechanical limb. “Octavia Gnack.” She introduced herself to the maid as she clambered into the cabin, and leaving the pair to secure each other and their belongings she strode back to the helm, flicking the fresh-installed switch delicitely. As before, the engine rumbled into life with a throaty purr, and Octavia began to take the Yacht back up once more, thowing a stern glance over her shoulder toward Isaac as the ship lifted from the courtyard into the air, rising as it circled around the outer walls of Castle Forsythe. “So what did you find down there - excluding the member of castle staff, that is?” she shot Isaac a scruitinising glare. “Any heavy men in carnival garb?” she ventured, wondering if any of the others had come across that strange figure of a man. “Outer rooms or towers that could use one last scouring? Rediculous looper-themed portraiture? Any…” she bit the steel plate of the false side of her lip “…strange, archaic mechanical device?” |

(OOC - One moonberry has been added to each of your totals. I'm going to post in this event's discussion thread once this post is made so please take a moment to reply to it.) Whilst Samantha explored the left side of the hallway E'ban set to work rummaging through the rooms on the right. There were a half dozen rooms total but all of them were appointed in an identical fashion so the search wasn't as lengthy as he'd anticipated. Two of the rooms E'ban searched yielded nothing of any interest. Nothing of value could be found amongst the servants' personal possessions. Nor was there anything of use. But the third room held one clue that the thief paid heed to. Standing on the dresser was a family photo of the room's occupant and an unidentified woman. The man was gaunt with a severe look on his face. His brown hair was trimmed in a military crewcut. The woman standing next to him was lovely in a refined sort of way with a sad smile on her face. Her hair was tied back in a tight bun. The couple was dressed in rather drab finery; not fancy enough for anyone is Upper City to be caught dead in but too expensive for someone from Lower City to have been likely to afford. E'ban tapped his chin in thought for a moment before returning the picture to the table. "Where is that cursed woman?" He muttered to himself. He assumed that since he'd concluded his search she should also be finished with her own as well. "She better not have..." E'ban started a chain of thought but derailed it in favor of taking action. With swift strides he crossed the room and threw open the nearest door on the left side of the hall. No one was behind it. He repeated the action for the second door with the same result. By simple deduction E'ban concluded that Samantha was in the last room. "Woman, I told you to~" He began hotly as he barged into the room. As he surmised she was within. But nothing could have prepared the master thief for what he beheld. Samantha stood on the opposite side of the room's small bed with a look of utter shock on her face. It was mirrored by E'ban's own look of embarrassment. Samantha was naked. E'ban sputtered and stared at her for a moment. Her pale skin was beaded with wetness and barely concealed from his prying eyes by a short towel that she clutched to her ample breasts. A wash pan and a damp cloth lay on the bed before her. "Get out!" Samantha suddenly barked at him, overcoming her surprise. E'ban reflexively turned away but did not leave the room. "This isn't the time to pretty yourself up!" E'ban retorted hotly. He was embarrassed more by his own reaction than catching Samantha in such a compromising situation. In fact he was tempted to turn around and ogle her just to reinforce his authority. But he resisted the urge. Despite being a career criminal and a pretty lousy human being in general E'ban just didn't have the guts to take advantage of this situation. "I know but I've been wearing this same uniform for weeks now." Samantha explained as she toweled herself off while keeping a wary eye on E'ban. "And I haven't had a chance to clean up in a while. I guess....I guess I was too afraid to come up here alone." E'ban quirked his eyebrow. "You were with someone else before?" "The maid I mentioned. Gloria? Yeah, we were together up until a couple of weeks ago." Samantha answered. E'ban could hear her rummaging around in the room's closet for something to wear and risked a glance over his shoulder at her. The towel was wrapped tightly around her body but its hem hovered tantalizingly just above her buttocks. Swallowing a lump in his throat E'ban turned to stare at the wall. "So what happened to her?" E'ban asked rhetorically. "The Baron happened." Samantha gave the expected answer. "She got taken and I got away. I don't really want to talk about it. And...oh damn it. These uniforms are too small for me." E'ban turned to look at her again and caught her angry glare. "Come with me." He ordered before leaving the room and heading back to the other side of the hall. Samantha followed him, hovering just outside of the door while peering around the corner at him. "These will work better for you I think." E'ban said as he opened the closet and tossed a man's uniform down on the bed. "Seriously?" Samantha groaned. E'ban stepped over to the door and grabbed her by the wrist to drag her into the room. She struggled against his unknown intentions but was released almost immediately. The thief eyed her up and down for a moment, causing her to shrink away from him. But then E'ban turned his attention to the uniform and drew his sword. In short order he'd cut the pants down to a pair of shorts and ripped the sleeves from the shirt that went with it. "Here, try this on." E'ban demanded. Again he turned his back to give Samantha a measure of privacy. The maid warily dropped her towel and slid the shirt over her buxom chest. She gasped in surprise when she saw a small grooming mirror mounted on the wall in front of E'ban. She could see his lecherous gaze upon her through its reflection. Samantha narrowed her eyes and scowled but said nothing. Her shapely legs descended into her new shorts but found that they were too large for her. "I'm going to have to make some adjustments here." Samantha growled at E'ban's back. "Just hurry up. This isn't a fashion show." E'ban retorted. "Or a peep show either." Samantha shot back without missing a beat. E'ban ignored her jibe. After a few moments Samantha had modified her wardrobe to accommodate her figure. She'd fed one of the shirt's shorn sleeves through her belt loops and tied it off like a sash to hold her shorts up. The hem of the shirt was also too long but she remedied that by tying it off just above her navel. And after rummaging through the closet for a moment she added a black vest and a pair of work boots to her ensemble. "So how do I look?" Samantha asked, turning this way and that to see for herself. "Like a tavern wench." E'ban snickered. He had to admit though; she cleaned up nicely. Samantha gave him a nasty look and turned to leave. "Are we done here?" She asked petulantly. "Not just yet. I want to ask you something first." E'ban stopped her. He retrieved the picture from the desk and held it out to her. "Do you know who this is?" Samantha accepted the picture and gave it a look. "Yeah, that's Freddy and his wife." She answered. "He was our gardener. I never met his wife though. I think she died a long time ago. This is a really old picture." "I see." E'ban nodded cryptically. "Okay, now we're done here." He continued in a stern voice, waving for Samantha to leave the room. They still had a lot of ground to cover and the Dark Rift wasn't going to wait for them forever. |

The wooden door creaked as Marisa used her normal hand to turn the handle, slowly pushing it open. ''Peek a boo, I see you.'' She whispered as she poked her head around the open door and into the next room. She was not too impressed with what she saw on the other side of the door. It was a small room that looked like it was once used for storage, probably for a few game tables or books for the main room. Now however it housed a collection of dry food and bottled water, more than likely put there for the residents of the room that had used it to take shelter from the Baron. ''Marisa not food hungry.'' She told herself as she stepped backwards out from the room, slowly closing the door behind her. It appeared that the people who only moments ago where in this room where using it to stay away from the Baron. The only way in were the other two doors on the other side of the room but they had both been barricaded up, yet this did not stop Marisa getting in from the glass pool above them. There was no way Marisa could get back to the room above so their only way out was to pick a door and take out the barricade that blocked it up. ''Which door mister?'' She asked in a soft voice as she stepped over the dead butler. She got down and with her metal clawed hand tore off his right arm, then with a smile on her face she tossed it into the air. The arm landed a few feet in front of her, the hand faced the left door. ''Thank you mister.'' She patted the butler on his head before standing back up and walking over to the left door. With her claw the door did not stand much of a chance and soon not only was the barricade smashed by the door too. Marisa entered the door, ready for whoever she found on the other side. ''Again?'' She said out loud as she walked into the main hall of the castle. She turned around to see that the door she had just used was one of two which where located on either side of the main stair way of the hall. ''Marisa not like this!'' She stamped her foot against the floor as she finally realized that the whole castle was like a giant maze. ''Hey Marisa.'' Her soft voice spoke up as she walked over towards one of the windows. ''Looks like the dark rift?'' ''Not much time.'' She answered herself as she watched the dark sky outside of the window. She then spotted two large chandeliers above her, hanging from the main hall. They both swayed back and forth a little when suddenly the lights flashed on. The floor at her feet started to crack open into a grinning mouth as the lights stared down at her. ''Marisa!'' A deep voice called out. As the Valuan girl backed away there was a bright flash and then the room was back to normal. ''Must hurry, find Baron Marisa should.'' She started to worry. Just then a door on the right side of the hall burst open, a woman ran into the room. Her face was dirty like the others and her clothing made her out to be yet another maid. ''He's coming for me!'' She screamed as she ran across the room. Spotting Marisa she turned her head towards her which caused her to lose her footing and trip. Without hesitation Marisa dropped to all fours and dashed across the room with her eyes locked on the maid. She noticed that the maid was not only looking at Marisa but kept looking back towards the door as if she could not make up her mind as to what to look at. ''Please...'' She managed to speak up, ''Help us.'' Marisa still on all fours like an animal leaned over the maid, her tongue licking her lips with excitement. ''Marisa help you.'' She moved her face in closer to the woman and licked the side of her face with her tongue. This caused the woman to freeze in shock while Marisa raised her claw above her body. Without warning Marisa slammed her claws down onto the woman, impaling her against the floor. In that instance the woman was dead and Marisa once again licked the side of her face with a smile. ''Nooo!'' Another voice screamed out, this time a male one. Marisa stood up over the dead maid and looked towards the open door. The room on the other side was dark but she could make out a tall man running towards her. Just then the silhouette of the man fell over and ceased to move. Slowly a trail of blood started to flow from under his body. Marisa instantly became interested and entered the dark room. ''Get some lights on!'' Yet another voice called out from the darkness. ''Is that him!?'' A woman's voice asked. Marisa stood in the doorway, her head to one side like a confused animal wondering what was going on. ''Found it!'' The same male voice called out as a bright light came to life. After the second of brightness the room was lit up. There to the side of the room was a man dressed all in white with a tall chefs hat. In one hand was a butchers knife while his other hand was resting against the room's light switch. ''Run...''He managed to mutter as blood started to drip from his mouth. There standing in front of him was the same man that had attacked Marisa in the hall of mirrors. He was standing in front of the chef, his sword in his hand was dripping with blood as Marisa saw that the chef had been sliced in the stomach. It seemed that he did not get the lights on in time to avoid his own death. He was not the only survivor in the room as there was a woman standing against the wall only inches away from the Baron who had already spotted Marisa. ''Baron.'' Marisa said as she smirked at the masked man, her body already starting to lower into a pouncing position. Time seemed to stand still for the group. The chef was slowly dying as he could hardly keep his eyes open. The woman kept switching her look from the Baron to Marisa and back again. The Baron stared at Marisa then took a quick glance at the woman before checking his pocket watch. He looked up at Marisa and shook his head as if to tell her that it was not time, yet telling this to Marisa was like asking a wall to bleed which would only probably happen in Marisa's mind anyway. Marisa pounced at the Baron, her claw raised above her head ready to attack. The Baron elegantly spun on the spot, avoiding Marisa's attack while at the same time slicing the woman's head clean off. With the two residents now dead the Baron shook his finger at Marisa as he put his sword away and kicked his foot against the table leg of the table in the room. No sooner as he did a secret door swung open from behind a bookcase and like a flash he dashed inside of it as it slowly swung shut again. ''No run! Marisa want's to play!'' Marisa shouted as she ran at the closing book case. Without much thought behind her thinking she jumped at the bookcase with her claw out, attacking it as she smashed into it. She shook the broken bits of wood off of herself as she stood up to find that she was in a secret tunnel. Only a few feet from her was the Baron who had stopped to look back over his shoulder as if he was shocked that Marisa had simple smashed the bookcase to come after him. ''Come play with Marisa.'' The young girl licked her lips as she stood up and started to walk towards the Baron. ''Play with Marisa, forever.'' She slowly reached out with her claws as if to entice him to come over and join her. The Baron however did what anyone would of done and started to run in the other direction which in response caused Marisa to chase after him. As the two of them ran down the tunnel the Baron nudged his elbow out while running, hitting a switch as he went on by. Suddenly in front of Marisa the sides of the tunnel started to close in around her. The Baron came to a stop and turned around as if to watch her get crushed by his trap. However Marisa was more like an animal and in such a situation acted like one. She dropped to all fours and dashed down the tunnel as fast as she could, with the walls closing in on her she even used her claw to slowly move up the side of the right wall. Just as the closing walls came together she leaped out from them and landed in front of the baron. He quickly turned to run again but Marisa got up and kicked him in his turned back, sending him into what looked to be the end of the tunnel which was in fact a secret door. The Baron broke the painting that was the door and flew into the room. He hurried to his feet and turned to face the painting which was slowly opening, the way it should of done in the first place. ''Knock knock.'' came Marisa's voice as she stepped out into the Baron's secret room. Around the room where many paintings of the Baron, yet for some reason all the faces where covered up. All around the room where fancy chairs and tables, some with food on them. It did not seem to be the main room that the Baron had been using but it was one that he had obviously been using for himself. ''Play with Marisa, she want's to be your friend.'' Marisa once again held out her clawed hand to the Barons as she smiled at him. The Baron took another look at his pocket watch and shook his head, yet this time not at Marisa but as if it was to himself. He put the watch away and took out his sword, pointing it at the Valuan girl. Marisa smiled, she had finally found who she was looking for and could now 'test' him. She looked at the Baron's mask, only his eyes could be made out and so she stared right into them. ''Marisa must see if you are worthy.'' She said to the Baron as she licked the back of her hand. There was a moment of silence between the two as the Baron stood ready for the girl to make her move. ''You think you can take me on! I am the great Baron!'' The Baron took a step back and lowered his sword a little, looking to his left then to his right as if he was confused to where this voice was coming from. ''I'll end your life with this very sword!'' This time the Baron spotted where the voice was coming from, Marisa was speaking for him. ''I'm the Baron and I accept your challenge Marisa.'' Marisa said out loud as she grinned at the Baron. He was clearly not amused by this and so dashed at Marisa and lashed out with his sword. Marisa quickly raised her claws and blocked the attack, yet the blade slipped of to one side and cut against the bare arm. The Baron took a step back as if to see her reaction which turned out to not be what he expected. She raised her arm and licked the cut as her eyes kept on him. ''Take that Marisa, says the Baron.'' Marisa giggled to herself. The Baron was not happy about this and decided that he would end this now before it got out of his control. He lowered his sword and raised his hand at Marisa, like before a yellow orb started to glow at his hand. Marisa right away remembered this attack and ran at the Baron, stopping in front of him just as he was about to release the magic attack. She raised her metal hand to his and twisted it around so that t the large Yellow Moon Stone that powered it was facing his attack just as he used it. The electrical wave hit the Yellow Moon Stone and caused a small explosion that sent both of them across the room. The Baron held his hand against his head while Marisa laughed the attack off. They both got to their feet and charged at one another, meeting in the center of the room. The Baron was first to start his attack again, landing hit after hit with his sword but only against Marisa's metal arm which she used to counter each hit. ''See, It's fun to play with Marisa.'' She grinned as he attacked her, every now and then getting a light cut on her body. The Baron raised his sword and aimed for Marisa's head but this allowed her to raise her claw and get a good grip on his blade. She narrowed her eyes while staring into his and at the same time closed her claws around the blade, snapping the sword in two. ''Marisa has a secret.'' She whispered as the Baron dropped his shattered sword and backed away from the girl. ''Marisa hates you.'' She said in her sweetest voice. The Baron slowly stepped backwards, taking out his pocket watch and taking a quick glance down at it. In fact he was hoping that Marisa would also look and not see that he was reaching for one of the many swords that where hanging on the walls around the room. ''That's not your sword.'' Marisa snapped as she ran at the Baron, scooping up the broken end of his sword with her hand. He managed to get a hold of one of the swords but as he did Marisa was already on him as she pushed the broken end of his sword into his chest with her own hand. Blood not only dripped from the Baron's chest but from her hand too which she put against his check before licking it clean with her tongue. He dropped the sword he had gone for as the pain in his chest spread over his body. ''No you can play with Marisa, for all time.'' She whispered into his ear as she slowly moved her claws across his body. Gently they cut into his body leaving light cut marks across his skin. The Baron slowly moved his hand towards Marisa's face as if to reach out for her heck with what energy he had left in him. Yet without warning Marisa took a bite as his hand and then impaled her claws into his body. He feel motionless and his arms fell to his sides, a pool of blood gathered at his feet. ''Marisa's sorry Master, he was not worthy.'' The young girl said as she pulled her claws out from his body. The Baron fell forwards and landed against the floor face first, his mask still attached to his face. With the Baron dead Marisa's fun was over, all that she had to do now was report back to her master. She took a look up at the dark sky from the window of the room and grinned before turning back to the Baron's body. ''Marisa has to go now.'' She got down and placed her claws on the back of his head. Slowly she applied force to his head and slowly a cracking noise could be heard which made her giggle. She pushed harder and harder against the back of his head, the cracking getting louder. She licked her lips as she started to let out a few moans of excitement over the crushing of his skull. Suddenly she pushed with all her might and shattered his skull, a look of enjoyment was on her face as she stood back up. ''You make Marisa very happy.'' She said as she turned to the window and ran towards it. Covering most of her body with her metal claws she smashed the window and dug her claws into the outside wall. She used her metal claws to climb up the side of the castle and made her way to the top of the tower that sat above the room she was just in. She sat on the edge of the tower's wall and made herself comfortable. The sky around her was dark and a storm was going on as the Dark Rift was in clear sight. However Marisa sat casually and cleaned herself off from any of her own blood that was still on her body. Just as she was looking at her metal hand a small red dot appeared against it. She stood up on the edge of the wall and looked up at the dark sky to see a small boat with a man dressed in red leaning over the side. He was looking right at her with the help of his weapon and so she waved back with a cheerful smile. ~ Marisa soon found herself seated in the small boat as it sailed away from the castle. The Man in red was none other than Razar who stood and looked at Marisa, and as if she knew what he was thinking she shook her head at him. ''Master will not be happy, he was not worthy.'' Marisa twitched her fingers as she spoke, she smirked at the thought of the fun she had in that castle. Razar then reached down to Marisa and took the book from her belt. He flicked open the gold pages and took a quick glance at them. ''Interesting.'' He muttered to himself, ''So it wasn't a complete waste of time after all.'' He closed the book and tucked it away into his cloak before returning to taking control of the ship. ''Marisa had fun today.'' Marisa told herself as she sat at the back of the boat by herself. Razar was one of the only members of her crew that would risk being alone with her. ''She made many friends today, and she will play with them forever.'' She stared at he claws with wide open eyes and a smile on her face. |
