"I'm also not alone." Zatoichi told Ryuzaki as daiohma came up from behind him. A quick slam to the head from Daiohma frozen fist sent him flying into the arms of Bear. The Yafutoma man pleaded to be freed and fight one on one, something Daiohma would of done if not for the situation they found themselves in. Even if they defeated these two, would they be freed from this place? They still had no idea how they all got here. "Speaking of which, does that big pirate need any help with tattoo-man over there?" The Ninja asked as the group had Ryuzaki under their control for the moment. ''I guess a little help would not hurt.'' Daiohma replied as he looked over at the other two. ''By the way,'' Daiohma turned to face the Ninja, ''You wouldn't of come across any information as to how we got here would you?'' ~ Cularmati picked himself up as Shingen seemed unhappy that he had increm active, ''It's original purpose was to end you fast,'' The Pirate smiled, ''Yet I now find myself in the situation of a great fight,'' He need not say any more as it was clear from the way he attacked that he was not going all out until the spell had finished. Cularmati sat up as Shingen did a few back flips, but no sooner as the Pirate made it to his feet he was met with a Glowing spear, "Spirit Ward!" Shingen barked as Cularmati felt the effect of the spell. He no longer had incream which was what he was waiting for. Now he could start to enjoy the battle. "Now then, fight me fairly or don't fight me at all." Shingen shouted as he raced towards Cularmati who just sat there, ''Show me your power.'' He muttered to himself under his breath as Shingen delivered his knee to the side of the Pirates face. Cularmati found himself once more against the ground, his head spinning from the attack. He spat a mouth full of blood onto the ground as he smiled, it had been a while since he has come across someone who he deemed worthy. He placed both hands against the floor as he pushed himself back up to his feet. ''Too long has I suffered...'' He smiled to himself as he stood, ''Do you hear me!'' He yelled, but not at Shingen. He then turned to face the man, eyes locked onto each other as he reached for the Neptune blade. With a quick spin of his wrist it was back on his back. "Shall we continue? Or has your strength failed you?" Shingen mocked the Pirate. ''My dear friend...'' Cularmati stated as he reached for his main weapon, ''I have yet to begin.'' He took out his Soulless blade and pointed it at Shingen's heart. The skull looked almost as if it was smiling at the man with the blade acting as it's sick tongue. Cularmati Dashed at the man, his speed was like that of a demon as he seemed to just appear in front of Shingen. He slammed his left fist into Shingen's head knocking him off balance to his own left while at the same time Cularmati's right leg swiped under Shingen causing him to spin, landing on the ground with his back. Cularmati stood over him as he spat out another mouth full of blood from Shingen's last attack. ''Are the gods looking down on you?'' He mocked as he sung his blade across Shingen's arm, only causing a small cut. There did not appear to be any sign of Eterni, ''Indeed they do...'' Cularmati took a step backwards and walked around Shingen, ''Pain, suffering, misery...'' He made his way around and stood facing the man, waiting for him to stand and return the attack. The smile on his face was not one of joy, but relief. |

Shingen was caught off guard by Cularmati's sudden attack. Even without enhanced strength or magical power his speed was incredible. But even as he fell to the ground a smile crossed Shingen's face. Unlike so many battles he'd bee in before he could not predict the outcome of this one. Truly he'd found a worthy rival in this man, Cularmati. ''Are the gods looking down on you?'' Cularmati sneered down at him. He circled Shingen like a vulture, waiting for him to rise and continue the fight. "Then let me bring you back down to Arcadia." Shingen slid forward, snaring the pirate's leg between his ankles and tripping him. As Cularmati fell Shingen rolled backwards and rose to his feet, retrieving his lost spear in the process. In a flash of movement the haft of his weapon lashed out, knocking the Soulless Blade from Cularmati's hand and sending it skittering across the ground. The spears tip came around and halted, pointed at Cularmati's throat. "I feel that this is the end...." Shingen sighed. ~ "Ugh, just....ow, hold him!" Zatoichi grunted. Ryuzaki had recovered from Bear's attack and was now squaring off against the two of them. His Suiran Blade flashed this way and that, keeping the Viking at bay while his foot thrust into Zato's midsection, foiling the ninja's planned sneak attack. "One at the time or both at once, I won't lose to the likes of you!" Ryuzaki cried. There was desperation in his voice but the Yafutoman stood a good chance of making good on his claim. Even with the odds against him he was managing to hold his opponents at bay. "Yeah yeah, I'm on it." Bear growled. Raising his axe he rushed the smaller man. Ryuzaki's sword was there to meet him but this time he was the one who fell for the feint. Bear's axe hooked the blade and, with a twist of his wrist, the Viking locked the two weapons together. Before Ryuzaki could pull it free Zatoichi rushed in to deliver a leaping kick to his chest. The swordsman stumbled backwards, dropping his sword and windmilling his arms to keep his balance. Bear took advantage of his awkward movements and grappled Ryuzaki. He slid his arms beneath his armpits and put him in a full-nelson. "Now where do you want it?" Zatoichi chortled. He raised his fist and stepped in to strike Ryuzaki while he was caught in the Viking's hold. "How about I polish those pearly whites with a knuckle sammich?" "How about THIS?" Ryuzaki returned as he foot rose into Zato's crotch. The ninja screamed and bent over, clutching his injured genitals. Ryuzaki then braced his feet against Zatoichi's shoulders and kicked off, sending the ninja stumbling backwards. At the same time Bear was thrown off balance and Ryuzaki was able to free himself. He spun around, grabbing the Viking by his collar and threw his body backwards, carrying Bear with him. Ryuzaki planted his feet on the big man's stomach and flipped him into the air. "Whooa!" Bear cried as he was thrown into Zatoichi. The two of them went down in a heap with Ryuzaki standing a short distance away. "Had enough yet?" Ryuzaki huffed. He was exhausted but there was a smile of genuine pleasure on his face. "It'd be a shame if you had to die today." (OOC - This will be the last round of fighting. The final posts of this event will be exit posts.) |

Bear and Zatoichi went down in a heap together as Ryuzaki stood over them both. "Had enough yet?" He seemed to be taking pleasure in the fact he just turned the tables on the two. Daiohma stood behind Ruyzaki, only a few feet away. ''What am I, invisible?'' He asked himself as Ryuzaki seemed to of forgot he was even there, and after that ice punch. "It'd be a shame if you had to die today." The Yafutoma man told Bear and Zatoichi. Daiohma came running up from behind him, ''forgetting someone?'' He yelled as he shot his fist out at the man. His claws retracted just before his fist made contact with the back of his head. Daiohma did not want to kill someone like that, it was not his way. With Ryuzaki now face first on the ground Daiohma landed a few kicks to his side. While still down Daiohma decided to pick Ryuzaki up by his legs as he started to turn, picking him up into a spin. Faster and faster Daiohma spun him around by his legs. Finally Daiohma let to, ''Incoming!'' He yelled over to Bear and Zatoichi. ~ Within a flash of a second Shingen's spear knocked Cularmati's sword from his hand. The blade soared across the ground, sliver sparks flying as it scraped the floor. The two moved at great speeds as the weapon fell, far to quick and almost like they were in harmony together. Cularmati moved his hands down to his belt releasing the clips that held his weapons. In the matter of only a few seconds the two had stopped moving, The tip of Shingen's spear was touching Cularmati's neck. "I feel that this is the end...." Shingen sighed. ''If only death was that simple.'' Cularmati replied. In all the commotion Cularmati had released his pistol that was now pointed right at Shingen's head. The two were locked in what could be the end of both of them. All Shingen had to do was move his spear an inch and Cularmati's throat would met it's end, however all Cularmati had to do was pull the trigger of his pistol and Shingen's brains would cover the floor. For whatever reason the two stood for what felt like forever, eyes locked onto one another. |

Ryuzaki's face flushed with shame for having lost track of Daiohma. He'd thought the Valuan had gone to assist the old pirate out but he'd obviously changed his mind. "Incoming!" Daiohma called out as he sent Ryuzaki flying. Bear and Zato had already recovered and stood ready to intercept the Yafutoman. "I got 'em!" Bear called out. He grabbed Ryuzaki about the waist and hoisted him into the air to slam him again. But this time Ryuzaki was able to save himself. As his body was torn from the ground he managed to catch Zatoichi's head between his ankles in a scissor-lock. "Ow, damn you!" Zatoichi cursed. He reached up to pull Ryuzaki loose but the hold was too tight. "Damn it! Let go!" Bear echoed as his throw was interrupted. He now held Ryuzaki's body in an awkward position, unable to slam him but unwilling to release him. "No, you let go!" Ryuzaki cried. His body was hanging between the two men at an angle. He struggled to maintain his hold on Zato while fighting to free himself from Bear's grasp. The three men struggled like this for several long seconds. But their struggle ceased as a soft metallic chiming sound began to echo around the arena. Pillars of green light began to rise from the floor, disappearing after a moment or so. On an unspoken agreement Bear released Ryuzaki who, in turn, let Zatoichi go as well. The three men stood watching as the other fighters around the arena, both the living and the fallen, were enveloped in the green light and then vanished. "Looks like the fight is over." Bear reckoned. "Indeed. I'm still puzzled by who arranged it and why though." Zatoichi sighed. "And in the end who was the victor?" Ryuzaki added. ~ Shingen closed his eyes and smiled. "A draw." He sighed, withdrawing his spear and stepping back from Cularmati. "But a good fight in the end." The martial artist didn't bother to offer Cularmati a hand to help him to his feet. Such a gesture would only be an insult to a man so proud as he. Instead he stood watching the other warriors as they began to disappear. "I would like to pay my respects to the others before I go." He said simply before turning to walk away. ~ Shingen and Ryuzaki stood apart from the others. The tattooed fighter was as stoic as ever but Ryuzaki wept openly at their parting. "It was an honor to have fought at your side again master!" He cried, bowing deeply in a sign of respect. "Yes. Perhaps the gods were indeed smiling down on me to have allowed me one last fight." Shingen answered with a slight hint of a smile on his face. Then, turning to address Cularmati, he continued. "Our duel may have ended in a draw but I expect a rematch when next we meet." Shingen said, dipping his head politely. "Until that day comes I will be waiting for you." He added as a pillar of light blossomed at his feet and he began to fade away. "On the other side." Came his final words as Shingen the Dragon Fang vanished from sight. Ryuzaki bowed his head as if to hide his tears. Then, in an unprecedented show of humility and respect, he fell to his knees and pressed his forehead to the ground. "Farewell master." He sobbed. ~ "Well that was fun! What's next?" Zatoichi folded his arms behind his head and glanced around at the rest of the group. "I'm going to find the closest tavern and have a drink." Bear answered. "What about you Daioh? You look a little worse for wear. You gonna be okay?" As the four warriors said their farewells they were joined by Ryuzaki. "It was an honor to have fought with you all." He said with another polite bow. "May the Blue Moon bless you." And then he too vanished in a curtain of green light. "Why can't you be polite like that?" Bear asked Zatoichi with a jerk of his thumb in Ryuzaki's direction. "You're both from the same country. You both study the martial arts. What gives?" Zatoich blanched at the implication. "Ugh, please don't compare me to that stiff. And you can keep your tea ceremonies and kow-towing. It's just not my bag." Bear shrugged and turned his attention to Daiohma. "Well, I guess I'll see you in the skies." He said with a smile. The smile vanished when he spoke to Cularmati. "Maybe I'll be seeing you too." Bear turned to walk away. After a few steps the green light began to shine around him. "Hey, wait up hairy!" Zato called as he rushed to catch up to the Viking. The light shone around them both for a moment and then they too were gone. |

Cularmati picked himself up as Shingen removed his spear. ''I, a draw It tis.'' Cularmati agreed with Shingen as he returned his pistol to his side. As the man turned to walk away and pay his respects to the others Cularmati too had a look around from where he stood. From all the people here he only came across one that could match him, yet he knew these would always be the odds. "Our duel may have ended in a draw but I expect a rematch when next we meet." Shingen spoke again to Cularmati. The Pirate turned to face his foe giving the slightest nod in agreement. "Until that day comes I will be waiting for you." A pillar of light appeared around the Yafutoma man as he started to fade away. "On the other side." Were the last words Cularmati could hear Shingen speak. Cularmati watched as Shingen vanished, ''The other side.'' He repeated to himself. The Black Pirate did not move his eyes from the place Shingen once stood, ''Even in death, my battle will not be over.'' A genuine smile appeared on Cularmati's face, something that was rare. He knew now that he had more to look forwards to after he is freed from his body. ''You, Shingen..'' Cularmati muttered to himself, ''Truly are worthy.'' ~ Daiohma collapsed to his knees and sighed in relief, ''Finally, its over.'' "What about you Daioh? You look a little worse for wear. You gonna be okay?" Bear asked. ''Im fine, I was just not expecting 'this' today.'' Daiohma smiled back. Ryuzaki then greeted them "May the Blue Moon bless you." He called to them as he too vanished into the green light. No sooner as the man was gone Bear and Zatoichi started at one another again, "Why can't you be polite like that?". The two went on as Daiohma picked himself up, he found their relationship a little odd yet funny. "Well, I guess I'll see you in the skies." Bear then called out to Daiohma, ''Im sure we will meet again.'' Daiohma replied "Maybe I'll be seeing you too." Bear called over to the Black Pirate who did not even move an inch to look over at the Viking, yet his smile was still on his face. ''Im sure you will.'' He muttered to himself. Bear and Zatoichi then walked into the green light as they disappeared from sight. ''Tell me Daiohma..'' Cularmati's voice came from behind him, ''Surly you will not die here?'' Daiohma turned just in time to block Cularmati's blade. However he could tell there was no effort at all in the swing of the blade. Daiohma pushed the blade to one side, which then Cularmati simple put his sword away. ''Here, we could be allies...yet..'' The Black Pirate spoke. ''Yet in the skies, I will not hold back.'' Daiohma cut it. Cularmati gave a grin back, ''I look forwards to the day we cross blades, you, the Ninja, or that Viking.'' He turned and walked away as the green light shone around him, ''Come to me my Misery.'' He called out as he vanished. Daiohma looked around, it seemed like he was the last living person around. '' Well, time to go.'' and with that Daiohma walked into the green light. |
