"Ladies first." One of the pirates opened the door for the three girls as another helped the one from the ground that Annie had been having some fun with. A few of them still found it funny that the man tried to take her on. These pirates did not seem like a match for them, just low life crew members. Raven kept her eye out for any sign of the Samurai or guy with the rifle that they had already encountered on the ship. The three entered the room, "This must be the mess hall." Annie sighed as she looked around. The room was home to a few long tables each with benches set up on either side of them. "I guess we're staying for dinner." Annie said, "I suppose dinner would be nice... I am hungry." Audrey replied to her. A few crew members were busy setting out plates and tankards across the tables as others started to take their seats. ''Well I guess we better make the most of it.'' Raven told the two girls as she made her way over to the far table. The Black Pirate looked down at the wooden beach which seemed to of not been taken care off. ''I'm a Black Pirate and even I find this wrong.'' She said as she sat down, making sure none of her leg touched the wood. ''Nothing like my ship.'' She started to tell Annie and Audrey as she offered them to sit next to her. Raven picked up a tankard realizing that they were all full already. ''A little drink wouldn't hurt I guess.'' Raven took a sip from the tankard. ''Not the best but it will have to do.'' Raven then took her hat off, placing it under the bench. While doing so she flicked her head to free her hair. She made sure that her mask was still on as she smiled at Audrey. Raven felt sorry for the girl, after all it was obvious that she was not used to this type of life style. However she was hungry and so things would have to wait. Crew members started to enter the room, many of them sitting on the tables far away from the three girls. A few kept looking over but not at them, their attention was on Annie's long metal friend. ''Hey Annie.'' Raven said in a soft voice, ''Your boyfriend has just entered.'' From the tone of her voice it was clear she was joking. Sure enough at the door of the hall Razar had just entered the room. He quickly picked out Annie but did not make a fuss. Razar sat down at a table in the corner of the room, sitting sideways on to Annie as if he wanted to make sure she was in the corner of his eyes at all time. It did not take long for the room to be filled. Amongst the crew Raven also picked out the Samurai who seemed to be on his own sitting at a small table. The large viking from the fight was on the table opposite the girls, a tankard in each hand while laughing at his own jokes. ''Wonder where the others are?'' Raven asked as she looked around. It was clear that the Captain was not with them all but Raven had also noticed a few more faces were missing. ''Remember that old blind guy?'' She turned to face Annie, ''And the there was that girl with the arm?'' One of the pirates sitting opposite the girls took an interest in their conversation, ''Marisa doesn't eat with us, and trust me when I say you would not want to see her eat.'' Raven just grinned, from what she had seen of the girl she guessed that Marisa probably wanted her food to be alive. She took another sip from her tankard, wondering where the food had got too. ''What's the hold up?'' Raven asked as she looked over to the door with the smell of something cooking was coming from. The same pirate once more added to the conversation, ''She is probably still killing it.'' Something about his words sounded like a joke but there was a hint of truth there too. ''Well then.'' Raven placed her hands against the table and pushed herself up into a standing position. ''Might as well get to know the crew.'' She turned to Annie with a grin as she winked. Raven made her way other to the next table placing herself behind two of the men. ''How we doing guys.'' Raven started to flirt. She placed her arms around the two while leaning into the group, making sure they could all get a good look of her. Raven tried not to show the fact that she was this close to them was in fact making her feel sick. She joined in with what ever they were laughing about, the two men not realizing that Raven's hands had made their way down to the men's pockets. In the blink of an eye she had taken two small pouches of what felt like gold coins. ''Well I can't stay here all day boys.'' Raven winked at the group as she moves to the next table. ''What do we have here boys?'' She asked the group as she once again placed her arms around two of the men. ''Hey your that Black Pirate.'' One of the men said. ''Yeah, much better looking that what we heard.'' Another of the men clearly only had his eyes focused on one part of Raven. However Raven's eyes were on something else, it would seem that she had picked a great table this time. In the middle was a bottle of white wine, and the tankards were in fact small glasses. ''Captains' table?'' Raven asked as she tried to think of a way to get the bottle. ''Nah, he doesn't eat with the likes of us any more, I right lads!'' The pirate raised his glass as she yelled out the end part of his sentence. A few other crew members raised their tankards around the room and shouted back, ''Yeah.'' Just then the door to where the food was cooking opened and a half clothed woman covered in body paint came into the room. It was hard to tell if it was all paint or if some was blood. ''Food ready five more minutes!'' She said, Raven noted that the woman was originally from Ixa'taka. ''What's taking so long, I want food now!'' One of the crew members near to her shouted out, slamming down his fist on the table. The woman took a step closer to the man and picked him up of his feet with one hand. ''It ready when it ready!'' She yelled in his face before tossing him over head. He landed on the table and slid all the way down to the other end, the men sitting at the table simple raised their plates to allow the man to slid by. In this time Raven had made her way back to Annie and Audrey and sat back down. She took a sip of what was left over in the glass she was holding before tossing it at the wall behind her, ''Too dry for my taste.'' She told herself before turning to Audrey. She placed her hand inside of her tope and pulled out a small leather pouch, dropping it into Audrey's lap. ''Some gold.'' She winked before passing another pouch over to Annie. Raven then placed her pink cloth on the table, she had taken it off while up and about and used it as a makeshift bag. Opening it she emptied the contents onto the table. A Blue Moon Stone rolled across the table towards the two girls, followed by a small box, another pouch and a small bottle of wine. ''Hey!'' A pirate on the other side of the room shouted, ''What happened to my wine.'' ''Shut it!'' The Viking yelled out at the man as he chucked a bottle at him, ''Drink this and shut up.'' Raven sat back as a large grin came across her face. She knew how things work around Black Pirates and she was starting to feel at home, but she knew it would not last long. ''Might as well make the most of things while we can.'' Raven opened the small box which contained several cigars. She took one out as she slid the box down towards Annie. ''I might die tomorrow, no point in waiting no more.'' Raven winked at Annie before placing the cigar between her lips. She had managed to give up a while back but since Annie arrived on her ship a few days ago she found herself slowly getting back into them. ''Bugger.'' Raven said she she felt around her body for a lighter, forgetting that she no longer had one. Just then one of the crew men opposite the girls produced a lighter and offered it to the Black Pirate. ''Nice lighter.'' Raven smiled as she let him light her cigar for her. She then took a puff on it as she leaned back on the bench, pulling out her pistol and pointing it at the man, ''I think it's mine now.'' She smirked as he passed it over. Raven took the lighter and place it down between her chest, turning to face the two girls. ''What? I'm a pirate.'' She said feeling that the two were judging her. She put her pistol away as she took another puff on the cigar. Her attention then turned to the Moon Stone, ''I have no need of that.'' She did not care who took it, along with the pouch. Raven had already checked it's contents, bullets, but for what kind of gun she had no idea. Just as Raven was starting to enjoy herself the kitchen doors once more burst open. The woman from Ixa'taka once again entered the room, whoever what took Raven by surprise was what she was carrying. A huge plate with a monstrously large red fish on it. ''That's one of them things, I have seen them before.'' Raven said trying to think of the name of the fish. The woman was followed into the room by a few other crew members carrying smaller plates. ''Great, looks like Grouder and Marocca again.'' A crew member said with disappointment. |

Annie entered the dining hall along with the other girls. After her earlier display the pirates let them all pass without further incident. They sat down at one of the tables and Annie laid her machine gun across her lap where it would be within easy reach but wouldn't get stolen without her noticing it. "Hey, that's my seat!" One of the pirates snarled from nearby. He stomped over but when he saw who he was talking to he changed his tune. "Oh, it's you two. Er....I'll go sit over there." Annie smirked at the sudden respect they were receiving. "You think they're being nice to us because they know we'll kick their asses?" She asked with genuine curiosity. "Or because they think we're going to die tomorrow?" Annie was thinking it was the first. The pirates didn't seem like the type to show respect to the dead or the dying. Another pirate approached them, this one carrying a tray of drinks. He slammed three tankards of a mysterious liquid down in front of the girls. "What in the bluest of blue hells is this?" Annie asked. She sniffed at the tankard's contents and took an experimental sip. The liquid had barely touched her tongue when she spewed it back out again. "It tastes like zombie piss!" "It's wet ain't it?" The pirate snorted. "Drink it." Annie muttered an obscenity at him but didn't make an issue out of it. She didn't plan on drinking much right now anyway. Her head would need to stay clear if they were to find a way off of this ship. Getting drunk and shooting the place up would only get them all killed. "Hey Annie, your boyfriend has just entered." Raven laughed. Annie already knew that she was talking about Razar and didn't bother to turn and look at him. Instead she scanned the room for anyone who would prove to be as much of a threat as he had been. First there was that big Viking making a lot of noise. Annie remembered seeing him on the deck. And the sniper had just come in. That left the samurai and the chick with the claw. Annie finally caught sight of Oshima sitting by himself away from the others. "Your buddy doesn't seem to like the company of all these pirates." She said, nudging Audrey with her elbow. Then a mischievous smile lit up her face. "Hey! Want me to invite him over to sit with us? You can play footsie under the table with him." Annie laughed at her own wit for a second. Then Raven practically read her mind. ''Wonder where the others are?'' The Black Pirate wondered aloud. A nearby crewmen overheard her question and answered it for them. "That crazy one probably prefers her food live on the hoof." Annie chuckled, again sharing Raven's thoughts. "And that old fart probably can't even chew solid food anymore." Another crewmember, this one a painted savage, came out to inform them that dinner was going to be a little late. One of the pirates protested and got tossed across the room for his efforts. "There goes another one who's going to have trouble chewing tonight." Annie muttered. Raven really seemed to be enjoying herself. She left the table to chat with some of the other pirates, obviously feeling at home aboard their ship. Raven returned a few minutes later with a handful of loot she'd stolen from them. Raven took out a box of cigars and offered Annie one while they divvied up her stolen swag. Annie shook her head to decline the offer. For some reason Annie just wasn't in the mood to indulge in any vices. Being aboard the Misery, surrounded by pirates, really pissed her off. Every one of these cutthroats probably had a price on his head and she couldn't collect on a single penny's worth right now. She couldn't shoot anyone or set the ship on fire or do any of the things the voices in her head were screaming at her to do. Annie fumbled in her skirt pocket for her lighter. Even if she wasn't smoking she could at least help Raven fire her cigar up. But one of the pirates beat her too the punch. He was obviously trying to impress the female pirate but ended up adding to her stack of loot. ''What? I'm a pirate.'' Raven stated matter-of-factly. "Yeah, and I'm a gun-happy lunatic." Annie replied. "So I'll take those then." Annie laid claim to the pouch of bullets and pulled it open to examine its contents. She picked one of the cartridges out and examined it. "For a handgun I reckon. Mid-caliber." Annie reported her observations aloud. "I'll have to keep my eye out for a gun that can chamber it." Satisfied with her gift Annie nudged the Blue Moon Stone around with her finger. "Got no use for one o' them though. One of you want it?" She asked, glancing from Audrey to Raven. Just then the painted Amazon from before entered the room. She was carrying a gigantic fish balanced on a tray over her head. Annie gave a low whistle, impressed with how much brute strength such a feat would require. As the fish was set down on the table Annie picked up her plate and drew her survival knife. "I'll snag us a place in the chow line!" Annie over her shoulder to Audrey and Raven. Not surprisingly a handful of the pirates were quick to step aside, yielding their spots to Annie. "I'm gonna dig in." Annie said hungrily. "Take that stupid fish!" She yelled as she stabbed the cooked fish and carved a hefty chunk out for herself. |

As Audrey sat down with the girls she began to feel a bit better as everyone was leaving them alone. She had half-expected someone to come yelling at her saying to get back to the 'infirmary' or something like that but it seemed that everyone was either too scared of Annie or too attracted to Raven to notice the quiet girl with glasses that sat with them. Audrey quietly hoped that they were begin left alone out of fear since the thought of dying before she could escape didn't sound very good. After a tankard was slammed in front of her she peered into it and gave it a sniff before wrinkling her nose. "This doesn't smell good at all... besides... I'm not much of a drinker..." She pushed the tankard away as she turned her nose up at it. Audrey didn't really notice Razar entering the room, she was more focused on the samurai who was sitting by himself at a table a fair distance from them. Suddenly she was nudged by Annie who remarked "Hey! Want me to invite him over to sit with us? You can play footsie under the table with him." Audrey turned red and tried her best to hide under her hat, "I... I..." She stuttered not knowing of a good come-back aside from saying something like shut-up. Had she possessed a sharper tongue she might have mentioned Razar but that wasn't the case. She was glad that the conversation shifted from Oshima to the rest of the missing crew, although she did glance every so often at him out of the corner of her eye. Just then Raven stood up and begin wandering about the men like a hummingbird to flowers. Audrey was a bit jealous of Raven's confidence however it was obvious that this confidence came form her use of her sex appeal and Audrey had gone through enough efforts to keep men from ogling her in the past... her own fears and distrusts made her hide under her large hat and behind her glasses while her shawl did its best to hide her bust. She wondered to herself if maybe she was going about this all wrong... When Raven returned it was made obvious that her flitting about wasn't as much for pleasure as it was for being a pirate among pirates and stealing their items from them. Raven gave Audrey a small bag of gold and smiled up at her, "Oh, thank you." She tucked the pouch away in her purse, normally she would feel bad about stealing but these were pirates and besides, they had kept her prisoner as well as stolen her own items so this was only fair. She eyed the Blue Moon Stone that sat unclaimed before them and finally reached out to grab it. "I will take it if you don't want it, it's too pretty to throw away." She gazed at it in her palm, the stone was cool to the touch and almost perfectly round. As she looked at it it reminded her of Oshima again as Blue Moon Stones came from Yafutoma. She looked up as Annie made a mad dash to rip the cooked Grouder apart and smiled as she closed her eyes and held the stone to her breast. She focused as the stone glowed softly and the airflow in the room would shift to blow around Audrey and move her hair, her face looked peaceful. ((Audrey gains first level Blue spell, Wevli)) |

"I'll snag us a place in the chow line!" Annie said as she made a dash for the line. Raven watched Annie leave before turning to see Audrey take up the Blue Moon Stone. ''Not really that hungry.'' Raven told herself as she put out her cigar on the hand of the unlucky pirate sitting next to her. The man let out a scream as he moved his hand away trying to stop the burn. ''If you wasn't already dead I would so let you have it!'' He yelled out as he got up to join the line for some food. ''He's right ya know.'' Raven moved over to Audrey, ''But that's if we are still around.'' The Black Pirate winked with a smile. She took a quick look around the room. There was a plan working away in her mind, a plan that started the moment she found out that they would be eating with the crew. ''If you want something to eat I would get it now.'' Raven suggested to Audrey as she watched the crew down their drinks. She knew it was only a matter of time before they had too much and started fighting or just passing out. As a Black Pirate captain herself she had seen things like this all too often. As soon as Annie got back to the table Raven decided to go up for herself. ''Might as well have something.'' She said as she made her way to the food. As she filled her plate Raven looked around the room. Just as she thought a few of the crew members had already started to look a little tired from the drink. The Viking however seemed louder and more active, still two more full tankards in his grasp. ''Time to check in on the boys.'' She muttered to herself as she looked around for Oshima and Razar. Oshima was still at his own table, the fish on his plate was presented with great skill, sliced with his own swords. Next to him was the smallest mug Raven had ever seen, and on the floor a bottle of something she guessed was from his home land. The Black Pirate then looked over to Razar's last known location, the one he had not moved from. ''What's his problem?'' Raven again spoke to herself. Razar did not get up for any food nor did he seem to be drinking. Raven moved back over to Annie and Audrey. She sat down with an annoyed look across her face as she took a bite of the fish. ''Typical.'' She muttered before moving closer to Annie. ''Not long now.'' She whispered as her eyes looked around the room. ''A few more drinks and we should make a break for it.'' Raven made sure no one was listening in on their conversation before going on. ''With the crew drunk we stand more of a chance at escape, grab a life boat and make a break for it.'' Raven indeed had a plan but her face told a different story. ''However, Oshima and that Large guy might be a problem.'' She waved her hand in the direction of the Viking. ''And Razar will be a problem.'' Raven took another bite from the fish before going on. ''Then we have the others that are not here, yet I have no other idea how we will get out of here unless we cut it close and wait for the dead of night?'' Raven was not happy, she kept thinking of ways to escape but no matter how she looked at it there did not seem to be a safe way off the ship. ~ ''Enter.'' Cularmati replied to the knock at his door. ''Food Captain, just as you like it.'' The woman from Ixa'taka said as she placed a plate of exotic fruit and meat in front of her captain. Cularmati took a bite from one of the apples before turning his head ever so slightly in confusion as to why the woman was still in his presence. ''A problem Kikiora?'' ''The girl, she is free and with the two new ones.'' Kikiora informed him with a look in her eye that begged him to give the order to kill them all. ''She is of no concern.'' Cularmati turned his attention back to a scroll on his table. ''As you Command sir.'' Kikiora closed the door behind her, slightly annoyed that she would miss out on a fight. ''What will you do with her?'' A voice from the shadows of the room asked. ''Does she die by my hand?'' Cularmati questioned the voice. The old man stood up as he moved into the light, from under his cloak he removed a large silver Moon Stone. With a wave of his hand the Moon Stone seemed to talk to him in a pattern of light. ''Her death is not yours.'' His simple reply seemed to be something Cularmati already knew. ''As I said she is no concern of mine.'' Cularmati then drew three crossing lines on part of the scroll. ''After I test the other two, you can have the third.'' Cularmati looked up with his eyes at the window as a pair of upside down red eyes stared back at him. On hearing his words the eyes were joined by a large grin as a metal claw scrapped across the window. ''Marisa is pleased master.'' With that she disappeared out of sight. ~ ''Do I confront her now, or later?'' The man in the brown leather coat asked himself as he looked up at the ceiling from his bed. ''She must be the one.'' He was puzzled by what he had seen. He got of his bed and stood up, he placed his hat on his head as he moved over to a small chest placed on a table in the corner of his room. The man opened it and removed a folded cloth that seemed to open by itself. ''I wish I knew who you are.'' He stared at the cloth, confused about the Black Pirate and her friends. ~ The room had changed in only a matter of minuets, the crew were mostly drunk with fights breaking out all over the room. The Viking seemed to be extremely happy as he took a bite of fish that was in one hand while swinging a crew member around in his other. The only place that seemed save in the room was the area that Oshima occupied. Even drunk the crew members must of known that a single wrong move near the samurai would more than likely end their lives. Razar was not save from the crew as the ones at his table were just as drunk as the rest, however he sat perfectly still with his look locked on the three girls. ''Seems it would be too risky to try and leave right now, it would probably catch unwanted attention.'' Raven's head sank into her hands as her plan seemed to of failed before even trying. While it seemed like Raven's attention was lacking a pirate came up from behind trying his luck on getting to place his hands on Raven's body. He moved in fast but his speed was not quick enough to catch Raven out. With a swift flick of her arm she had removed her sword and then returned it before anyone knew what was going on. The pirate stumbled backwards in shock as his left hand fell to the ground. ''Next time it won't be your hand!'' Raven said in a cold heartless voice. The realization of death on the horizon had finally hit her hard. |

Annie wolfed down her food in a matter of seconds. She wiped her mouth with the back of her sleeve and then sat contentedly, picking her teeth with the tip of her knife. "Yep, that was right good." Annie sighed. She took a sip of beer from her tankard to wash it all down with. "Didn't expect to get any decent grub on a heap like this." Raven leaned over and whispered to her that they were going to try and escape the ship once the crew had gotten too drunk to stop them. ''However, Oshima and that large guy might be a problem. And Razar will be a problem.'' The female pirate indicated their opponents from earlier as well as the big Viking who looked like he could drink them all under the table. "Just leave Red to me." Annie muttered under her breath. It was starting to look like her score with Razar might be ending sooner than expected. Raven suggested waiting until after nightfall to make their escape. "Eh, whichever floats your boat boss lady. Either way I'm going back for seconds." Annie shrugged before leaving the table and heading back to the chow line. ~ Annie stood glaring angrily across the table from a rather portly pirate. Their knives both hovered above the last piece of fish and neither of them seemed likely to let the other take it. "It's mine wench. Now back off." The pirate growl. His knife stabbed downward towards the fish. Annie's blade lashed out, parrying the pirate's attempt to claim the prize. "I don't see your name on it bub." Annie shot back. "I'm takin' this here fish and there ain't nothin' you can do 'bout it!" The pirate raised his knife again, this time pointing it at Annie. "You new girls need to learn some manners!" He cried as he took a swipe at Annie's throat. "Manners? In a place like this? Hah!" Annie retorted, swatting aside the pirate's blade with her own. The two of them exchanged several awkward blows like this. It seemed they were dueling over the table with the fish going to the victor. A few of the nearby pirates who hadn't past out yet managed to stagger over to watch the fight. They began to hoot and jeer as the knife fight became heated. "You want my fish?" The pirate screamed. "I'll gut you like one instead!" "Haha, speakin' of guts, take a look at your own!" Annie retorted. "I'd say you've had more than a plenty to eat already tubby!" The pirate thrust his knife over the table as far as he could in an attempt to stab Annie. "Shut yer hole you tart!" He cried in an angry voice. "I'm fixin' to wail on you lard-ass!" Annie crowed triumphantly. She side-stepped his attack and grabbed his arm, pulling him forward at the same time. The fat pirate wobbled on his feet and then lost his balance. He fell face-first on top of the table. With the pirates weight added to one end the table rocked upward off of the floor and launched the rest of the evening's meal, including the fish they were fighting over, like a catapult. The food flew through the air, striking several of the nearby pirates. As one they all turned to see who had been foolish enough to pelt them with their own dinner. All they saw was the fat pirate. Annie had already managed to slither away in the confusion. As a few of the more violent members of the crew started ganging up on the fat pirate Annie returned to her seat at the table next to Raven and Audrey. "Guess dinner's over. But it looks like the entertainment is beginnin'." She snorted with laughter, obviously pleased with all of the chaos she'd caused. ''Seems it would be too risky to try and leave right now, it would probably catch unwanted attention.'' Raven observed with a hint of desperation in her voice. "Oh.....uh, my bad." Annie muttered. Getting the crew all riled up like that had probably shot their escape plans in the foot. "So, uh....should we order dessert?" |

After her brief moment of focus on her new Blue Moon Stone, Audrey was brought back to the world with the cry of a pirate being burned by Raven's cigar. Raven mentioned him being right but only if they were still around. Audrey disparately wanted to be away from all these mad pirates since so far it seemed that all that came of piracy was slavery, gluttony, terror, and cruelty. Of course that's what all the stories she had heard as a child had said but she had kinda hoped that they would have been wrong. As the pirates and Annie began to tear into the dinner Audrey felt her stomach rumble and she blushed softly hoping that no one had heard. No one noticed as every pirate in the room was busy with food or drink with the exception of the silent Razar in his corner and Oshima who sat at his own table drinking from a Yafutoman bottle. She peered at him a couple times seeing if she could catch his gaze when Raven stood up ''Might as well have something.'' And she walked over to make herself a plate. "Oh well I guess I will come with you." She followed meekly behind Raven and began making her own plate of food, every so often looking back at the rest of the room. After making her plate to the best of her ability she walked back to sit by Raven and Annie. She began eating as Raven moved over to whisper to Annie, she couldn't hear it all but caught bits about escaping and concerns of Oshima and Razar being an issue. Audrey felt troubled as she ate, Razar and Oshima would for sure be a problem... they seemed to always be in control of themselves and on alert, perhaps for the three girls. Audrey personally dreaded the prospect of facing Oshima in battle... Razar would easily put a bullet in their heads... but what of the samurai? Annie then stood up and announcing desiring seconds and got up to fetch it. However her desire for food coupled with her aggressive nature caused a food fight which she neatly managed to avoid and she came back to sit with Audrey and Raven again. Audrey didn't really like watching people fight, even if they were crazed pirates who would just as likely kill her. "So uh... should we order dessert?" Annie piped up at her obvious failure at trying to keep things calm. Audrey thought about dessert, although she figured that would be asking way too much, "I would love to have some cake..." |

Raven raised her head out from her hands to see what all the noise was about. he pirates had started going at one another, be it because of the drink or just their nature. "So, uh....should we order dessert?" Annie suggested, not seeming bothered that the fight was probably caused by her. "I would love to have some cake..." Audrey added in. Raven did not reply with words, only a grunt as she looked across the room to see there was such thing as cake around a place like this. As the Black Pirate looked a loud noise came from the other side of the room, the sound of a door being flung open. She turned her head to see that the Ixa'taka woman who had cooked the so called meal was standing there with fire in her eyes. ''Who messed up food!?'' She yelled as she reached out for one of the pirates who was in the middle of a fight with another crew member. She picked him up of his feet and tossed him across the room before dealing out damage to any other pirate that was misusing the food as weapons. Raven's head followed one of the crew members as he flew across the room, but then her head stopped as she spotted dessert. ''Theres some cake.'' She said in a casual voice as she raised her hand to point in the direction of a small table in the far corner. ''Looks like rice cake.'' She added. Sure enough sat at the small table were a few small rice cakes. Raven then snapped back into reality as she stared at the table, ''Wait, that's the yafutoma man's table...When did he go?'' She looked around the room yet there was no sight of the man. ''Razar!!'' A voice shouted out across the room from the doorway. A small man stood there yelling to get his attention. Razar turned his head in the direction of the man to signal that he had indeed heard him. ''Captain's on deck, we're coming up on a ship.'' Without hesitation the man stood up with his rifle in hand and made his way out of the room. Raven's smile finally came back to her but only for a second as it turned into one of her classic grins. ''There gone!'' She exclaimed to the other two. She quickly stood up and reached for her hat, placing it on her head as she turned to the other two. ''Let's get out of here before we become part of this fight.'' The Black Pirate started to make her way towards the door, taking a little detour around the small table with rice cakes. ~ ''It's a bad night.'' A lone crew member stood out on deck near the back of the ship. His long brown coat blowing in the wind while his face hidden by the darkness of the night. ''I know your here, and I thank you for this.'' ''I should be the one thanking you.'' A voice came from the shadows. ''I see you gave the girl the key to her freedom.'' ''Indeed I set her free, Oshima, but why are you conserned about her life?'' The man moved closer to the shadows having spotted the samurai. ''Unlike you I'm not a pirate, even if I take orders from one....for now.'' Oshima moved out into the light of the moon. ''Her fate was death like the rest of her crew, to keep her here is a fate worse than that.'' ''I helped you Oshima, now tell me what you know of that woman.'' The man moved his hand inside of his coat as if to reach for a hidden weapon. ''No need for that, I am a man of my word.'' Oshima folded his arms as he moved back into the shadows. ''My sources tell me that she indeed knows you. The blade that she carries seems familiar because it was once in your possession.'' The man looked up shocked to hear the news. ''So she stole it from me?'' His words fell on death ears as Oshima had vanished from sight. ~ ''About time! Back on deck it would seem.'' Raven was getting annoyed at how confusing the ship was to get around. ''Well it seems quiet.'' she said as she looked up at the night sky. ''Night came quick.'' Her words sounded sad as she knew this meant the moment the sun came up that they had a fight on their hands. The Black Pirate had a quick look around and spotted two long boats. ''Annie, think we could use them?'' Raven pointed the two boats out in the darkness of the night. Raven walked over to the long boats to inspect them, they seemed like they could work and no one was around to spot them. Yet little did Raven know they were not alone. ''Wait...shh.'' She ducked down as she raised her finger to her lips. ''You hear that?'' Raven crept closer to the edge of the steps leading down to the front deck. She looked out towards the front of the ship and sure enough she could make out three people standing around. ''It's him.'' Raven whispered as she realized that the ship's captain was out and about. Her gaze followed the direction that Cularmati was facing. ''Hey you two look!'' Raven pointed out into the night sky. ''It's another ship, if we could get the long boats out to it we could be saved.'' ~ ''Captain, Razar is here.'' The small pirate told his captain as Razar came up from behind the two. The small man then took a few steps backwards as if to show that he knew his place. Cularmati stood with his back to the two men, looking out across the night sky with his arms folded across his back. ''There appears to be a ship,a ship that has stopped for the night.'' He stated without even turning to look at the small ship that was slowly getting closer. ''We have a need to keep on moving forwards'' Cularmati turned to look Razar in the eyes, ''Make sure we do.'' With that the captain walked away into the shadows. ''It's a small fishing boat, or could be a merchant maybe?'' The small pirate said as he walked up to Razar's side. ''More than likely stopped for the night.'' He rubbed his chin as he looked at the ship. ''Must be new to it all, stopping in a place like this, no good I tell you.'' The small pirate turned to see what Razar made of it all. ''What do you think, about the ship that is.'' Razar raised his rifle's sight to his eye as he took aim, ''I see no ship.'' He said in a cold tone before pulling the trigger. A single red shot fired from his rifle across the night sky. The small red bullet hit the back of the ship as it exploded in the night sky. There was two more explosions as the cargo of the small ship went up in flames. In only a matter of seconds the ship was sinking into deep sky. ~ ''Well, that's that plan out of the question.'' Raven said in shock as she watched the burning ship sink. ''I might just call it a night?'' She mocked at the situation, forgetting that the two girls were probably not used to seeing such things like she was. A quick look at Annie and then she changed her mind to just Audrey not seeing things like this. ''Shh..'' Raven then indicated for the group to be silent once again. Coming up from behind the group was a familiar sound, the sound of foot steps from before. There was no doubt that they were the same as the ones that the girls heard when that key fell into their hands. |

"Hahahaaa! Dance you monkeys!" Annie howled with glee as the fight she'd started intensified. The issue of dessert was forgotten once the Amazon cook burst back into the room and joined the fight. Annie whistled and cheered as the tattooed woman sent one of the crewmen soaring across the room. It wasn't until Razar's name was shouted from somewhere across the room that Annie's attention was returned to the predicament she shared with Raven and Audrey. Her smile vanished to be replaced by a scowl. She glared hotly at the sharpshooter as he rose to leave but he didn't pay her any mind at all. That made Annie even angrier than she had been a moment before. "Gonna put my foot in his ass..." Annie muttered to herself and sat back down. But before she could get comfortable Raven suggested that they leave while Razar and Oshima were away. "Good thinkin' boss lady. Let's get while the gettin's good." Annie agreed. As the trio made their way towards the door Annie caught sight of something that made her pause. "Hold on a sec." She hissed at Raven. Lying on the floor nearby was a pirate. Annie couldn't tell if he'd just passed out or been knocked unconscious. And she didn't really care. What interested her was the pistol tucked into the waistband of his dirty trousers. Annie scuttled over to the man's prone form, looking this way and that to make certain no one was paying attention to her. Satisfied that everyone was distracted by all of the fighting she reached down and withdrew the pistol. "Heh, yeah. Get it baby..." The pirate chucked in his sleep, causing Annie to start with surprise. She stood up, raising her boot to stomp his face in, but quickly reconsidered. "Yeah, I got it alright." She smiled, waving the pistol in the air. Annie examined the weapon. It was a single-shot model with a hinge action. She broke it open with a quick flick of her wrist and withdrew the cartridge within. Her smile widened. It was a different brand than the ones Raven had given her but they were of the same caliber. This pistol would chamber them. With her machinegun being low on ammo she welcomed another gun into her arsenal. "Alrighty, let's go." Annie said as she rejoined the others. With her new pistol tucked within easy reach in her belt she followed Raven out into the hallway. ~ After another confusing journey through the Misery's lower decks the three women eventually resurfaced on the upper deck. ''Well it seems quiet.'' Raven observed. "Yeah, a little too quiet." Annie answered, drawing her pistol. ''Night came quick.'' Raven continued, looking up at the starry night sky. "Yeah, a little too quick." Annie responded, glaring around the deck suspiciously. Raven spotted a pair of lifeboats being stored on the deck and pointed them out. "'Annie, think we could use them?'' She asked. "Yeah, a little too....wait, what?" Annie asked in confusion. Then, spying the lifeboats she rubbed her chin in thought. "Well, yeah we can make a getaway in them. But if we get spotted we'll be blown out of the sky." The Misery had a whole arsenal of cannons which could accomplish that task and yet Annie's mind could only recall a single gun on board along with the red-cloaked man that wielded it. She didn't like the prospect of being caught out in the open skies with him behind the scope. They'd never get out of Razar's range alive if that happened. Raven stepped out to inspect the lifeboats but quickly retreated. "Wait...shh. You hear that?" The pirate shushed them. It seemed that they were not alone on the deck. Annie popped her head up to see who else was present. "Well, speak of the devil." She whispered when she spotted Razar. And the big man was with him. It looked like they were making plans to attack the ship that was nearby. 'Hey you two look!'' Raven drew the other girls' attention to it. ''It's another ship, if we could get the long boats out to it we could be saved.'' Annie looked from the lifeboats to the ship in the distance and back again. Her mind, muddled and troubled as it was, was still fairly accurate at estimating distances and trajectories when it came to gunplay. She crunched the numbers in her head and gave her assessment of their chances of escaping. "It's risky. If we wait until we're closer and the rest of the crew is too busy preparing to raid 'em then we stand a decent chance of making it on board." She recited her thoughts on the matter. "But once we're there we'll have to help defend their ship against the pirates. Otherwise we'll be sittin' pretty on another sinker, just like that cargo ship o' yours." Further conversation was silenced when the Misery's captain started in their direction. "Get down!" Annie hissed at the other two. Cularmati passed them without so much as looking their way. Annie breathed a sigh of relief and crept forward to resume her watch on Razar. She was just in time to see him fire a single shot that set the small boat ablaze. Annie gave a low whistle of appreciation. She assumed that Razar was firing some sort of incendiary round to cause that much damage. His accuracy at such a distance was just as impressive. "I could do the same thing if I had that fancy rifle o' his." She muttered, feeling just a little envious of his prowess. Annie decided right then that if she and Razar ever fought a rematch she'd make sure to pry that rifle out of his cold, dead hands once it was over. ~ ''Well, that's that plan out of the question. 'I might just call it a night.'' Raven's disappointed words snapped Annie out of her reverie. She'd been fantasizing about what it would be like to snipe the Briggs Brothers with Razar's rifle. But then she'd miss the chance to screw with their head before she plugged them. "Guess I could snipe one and then get up close and personal with the other..." Annie mumbled to herself. She was just about to slip off into another daydream when Raven warned them that someone was approaching. Annie threw her machinegun across one shoulder and drew her pistol. She took aim in the direction from which the footsteps were coming and prepared to fire on whoever was trying to sneak up on them. |

Audrey did her best to ignore the group of fighting pirates as she thought about cake, something she hadn't had in months. She flinched as the Ixa'taka woman burst in and sent a man flying across the room, an act that made her wonder if all Ixa'takan women were strong enough to send a normal man flying. She had only met just a few Ixa'takans in her life although she knew that the crest tattooed into her right hand was made from ink taken from Ixa'taka during Valua's occupation of it. She was secretly afraid that one day she would run into one that held a grudge against those of Valuan blood. Just then Raven point at a far table saying "There's some cake, looks like rice cake too." Audrey looked and saw a few sitting nicely on a plate at the table that had until recently been used only by Oshima, however he was missing. She looked around but could not see the samurai anywhere. "Those are Mr. Oshima's cakes.. but where did he go?" She knew that he was smart enough to avoid the brawl yet he had seemed to vanish into thin air. "Razar!" Came a shout from the doorway, and without a word the hooded Naserean got up and left. Raven suggested leaving which both Audrey and Annie agreed to. On their way out Annie picked up a pistol from a sleeping pirate while Raven and Audrey visited Oshima's table. Raven took one and left, however Audrey felt kinda bad taking them without asking. Suddenly she smiled and said aloud, "Oh I will just take two just in case we run into Mr. Oshima, I'm sure if i give him one he wont be very mad about us taking them." With a grin she put two of the cakes in her purse and followed Raven and Annie out. ~ Finally the three women got out onto the upper decks. ''Well it seems quiet.'' Raven observed. "Yeah, a little too quiet." Annie answered, drawing her pistol. ''Night came quick.'' Raven continued, looking up at the starry night sky. "Yeah, a little too quick." Annie mimicked again and Audrey rolled her eyes. For all her insanity and thirst for mayhem, Annie had a lot in common with a child, Audrey didn't dare mention that though. Raven walked over to the longboats on the ships sides and inspected them suggesting to use them for an escape since it seemed that the Misery was targeting a ship that Audrey could make out in the gloom. Audrey started to feel excited at the prospect of finally escaping, "I bet we could as long as no one was watching." Suddenly Raven ducked and told them to be quiet just as Cularmati walked by to a group of men including Razar. However Oshima was not with them. There was a shot and Audrey watched a tiny red round fired by Razar fly through the dark and instantly ignite the unfortunate ship that had stopped for the night. Audrey just stared wide-eyed as the ship burned... and the people along with it. Audrey paled, which was a feat for her already light skin tone, and reached out towards the burn ship. "All those people... dead... why..?" The silver crest on the back of her left hand, the symbol of life and death, glowed faintly in the dark as spells of revival came to her mind. However at this range there wasn't a thing to do but watch the event unfold, for Audrey death wasn't something she had gotten used to happening yet. She didn't even notice that someone was approaching from behind them. Edited by Wizard of Glacia, Apr 3 2012, 04:42 AM.

''Out late.'' The shadow mentioned as he stood a few feet from the three girls. He looked over the two smaller ones first, one already had her pistol aimed at him while the other looked scared of him. He finally stopped his eyes on Raven, looking at her green sword. ''So what's the deal with saving us?'' Raven smirked as she stood up, resting her hands against her hips. She recognized the sound of the way this man walked, yet could not figure out why it sounded so odd in the first place. The darkness was not helping the fact they could not make out who this man was unless they moved closer, yet moving closer to anyone on this ship could prove to be deadly. ''Save you, ha.'' He laughed, ''I set the girl free for Oshima.'' In the darkness they could make out that he was pointing his arm in the direction of Audrey. ''Information doesn't come free around here.'' Raven could just make out in the darkness that the man was holding something, something dark in colour. ''And what information do you want from us?'' Raven presumed that was the only reason the man must of been there. ''Don't worry, I have all I need to know.'' He man raised his arm and in the darkness Raven could see herself looking down what could only of been described as a cannon. ''Move!'' Raven shouted out as she jumped to her left, grabbing ahold of Audrey and tossing her to the deck along with herself. Just as she did there was a loud shot that rang out across the deck followed by a small explosion as the ground which she was just standing on burst into debree. ''I am Wellwood, Head gunner of this ship!'' He called out as he aimed his weapon again at Raven, ''And I want that sword!'' He swung the weapon around and fired at Annie's feet, only to get her to run away or stop her from getting involved. ''If any of you get in my way...'' He turned his attention to Audrey, ''I will not hesitate to kill you too.'' Raven picked herself up before Wellwood could take aim again, ''If you want a date your going about it all the wrong way.'' She mocked him as she took the sword in her hand. ~ ''It would seem that Wellwood is making holes in my ship again.'' Cularmati stood with his back from the action in a far off location on the ship. ''That will never do.'' It would of seemed he was talking to himself in the night but he was far from alone. ''Does she get to play with mister mindless?'' Marisa asked as she grinned. It would not be the first time that Wellwood would of had to be reminded of his place. ~ Another shot rang out across the deck as Raven moved just in time to avoid another small explosion on the deck. ''Hey Annie!'' Raven called out to the girl, ''You need to get yourself one of them.'' The Black Pirate then stood up and took out her pistol with her free hand. Taking aim she pointed at what she made out to be than man's leg in the darkness. She pulled the trigger and waited for the sound of his moaning. ''What gives?'' Raven asked as it appeared the shot his it's target yet the man did not seem to care. ''The sword will be mine!'' Wellwood replied as he fired another shot. This time Raven was taken by surprise and did not have the time to react. The shot hit just in front of her as the explosion sent her across the deck, sword still in hand. Wellwood then turned his attention to the other two girls, ''Remember I said I would not harm you?'' He asked as he stamped his foot a few times against the deck, causing a loud banging noise. ''I lied.'' Out of the shadows several crew members emerged, each with their pistols at the ready. ''I have to reload, leave the Black pirate for me.'' Wellwood commanded as he took a few steps backwards. --- (Mini battle, There are several crew members on deck who you may control. They are part of the misery's crew but work under Wellwood who is the ship's head cannon gunner. Wellwood can not be approched or harmed yet. This will only last for one round so do as you will to them.) |
