Koi arrived on deck not far behind Raven and Annie, and as she stood next to the pair she spotted an island off in the distance. It was small, really more of a large floating rock than a proper island. She had traveled to some fairly small islands before, but none so small that they couldn't likely have a small trading outpost. Unless someone decided to make an outpost that consisted of one building. Perhaps if it had multiple floors? The island wasn't too far away from anywhere else to really warrant it, but there were large gaps between places to rest and restock out there in the vast blue skies. She blinked, realizing she'd slipped into a more merchant-like mindset for a moment there. Weighing the potential of stuff like this had been trained into her from a young age, and sometimes she found herself doing it rather unintentionally. Just as well, as Raven caught her attention once more shortly after. ''You can drop that.'' Raven inclined her head towards the hammer, and Koi shifted to bring it down on the ground, propped up against her side. The hammer was heavy even like this, but she could keep it from falling over as long as she kept the bulk of it's weight on it's own head. Balance was an important part of wrestling, as was learning to manipulate the weight of herself and her opponent. If one knew the trick, they could do things that would normally seem beyond their physical ability. ''It won't be like before you know. He tested us last time, so where we good enough?'' The captain added after a moment, and the masker wrestler detected something like concern in her voice. Now what did that mean? She supposed there was some kind of event that she was not privy to the details of, likely whatever had led to this arrangement in the first place. There was a shrug from Annie as the rough and tumble girl gave her two cents about the mysterious situation. Raven seemed lost in her thoughts though, muttering to herself. She had to admit the statement made her even more curious. Obviously whoever this was they were going to meet, he had at some point or another been involved in some kind of fight or contest against Raven. She pondered a few thoughts about what kind of man would 'only challenge those stronger than himself'. Her most immediate inclination was that it was someone seeking to improve their own abilities by pushing themselves to the limit, but close behind that was the thought that perhaps he wanted allies who could do things he knew he himself could not. Fairly reasonable methodology for a person to have, if both having their own risks. Still, if it was as simple as that she couldn't imagine the masked black pirate being all that concerned about it. She was clearly missing some kind of detail. "I guess because deep down what he really wants is a foot up his @$$! Can't say as I blame him. Yep, when you're as hardcore as us you just get tired of beatin' up on a bunch of milquetoast sissy-boys all the time and figure gettin' whooped yourself every once in a while is a nice change of pace." Annie's own colorful thoughts interrupted, and Koi cracked a smile under her mask. Overconfidence could be dangerous, but confidence in itself was not a bad thing. ''Koi, I'll level with you now.'' Raven spoke somewhat suddenly as the ship got closer to the island, the small group having spent a few moments in contemplative silence. ''The deal we are about to make is that hammer, for our lives. The reason your here is to help with the fighting if things go sour.'' That got her attention. So there was cause for concern about this mysterious man after all. She supposed it made sense. While there was obviously overlap and mixing of all sorts, Black Pirates would likely do a lot of their dealings with other Black Pirates. Or at least the less scrupulous Merchants, although that was hardly a small group itself. If lives were on the line though, there really was only one response she could give to that. “Then it is good that I happened to stop for something to eat as I did!” She gave a boisterous laugh, but made sure not to let the hammer fall over in her theatrics. Her stance practically exuded confidence, body language being an important thing to master when one hid their face. “Worry not, I shall protect your lives if the need arises. On that you have my word.” Despite the flamboyant manner in which she said it, there was a solemn edge to her tone. She meant every word, and she certainly did not mean to die here herself either. ''Now there is a slim chance he will just take this stupid hammer and let us go, so I don't want to see a single shot from you. However the second thing's do kick off...'' The masked black pirate gave Annie a smile, despite seeming wary of her causing a fight to break out. Having seen the girls high spirits and somewhat crass mannerisms first hand, Koi didn't doubt that being a possibly either. "I'll drop 'em all like a sack of crap!" The gun-toting girl vowed resolutely, and Koi couldn't up but giving another laugh. “Well said!” ~ ''Slowly....slowly....and......There we go! Perfect!'' Koi cracked a small smile under her mask at Kimi's enthusiastic declaration as the White Raven came to a stop mere inches from the island. Few could do a better job than that, and Koi had not personally seen one do so. The energetic young Yafutoman certainly was a skilled sailor, it seemed. The captain seemed less impressed though, informing Kimi to ready the crew before motioning for herself and Annie to follow her. Koi once more hefted up the hammer, in the same careful manner as she had before. Carrying was much easier than lifting, really, and now that she had a better understanding of the weapons shape and weight it was a simple matter so long as she took it slow and paid attention to what she was doing. She doubted she could lug it around for long periods, though. Truly whoever had owned and used this hammer in combat had to have been incredibly strong. She was fairly certain she'd like to meet them one day, and perhaps test herself against them. While she had been thinking, Raven and Annie had readied the plank that would serve as their bridge over the small gap to the island. The masked wrestler had to admit she was grateful for Kimi's good work, as a larger gap would make carrying the hammer somewhat more concerning. As it was, she merely had to be a little cautious for a few steps and then she was standing with the other two women safely aboard the small island, ''Well then, I guess over there. Place it there, then I think we should all wait here.'' Raven pointed towards the center of the island, taking a step back towards her ship once she was finished. Koi nodded, doing so promptly. She was not certain when the other party would arrive, and it wouldn't do to dally and put themselves at risk should things indeed turn foul. She let the hammer drop with a satisfying thud, working the small stiffness out of her shoulders that had formed as she made her way back over to the ship. Her thoughts turned once more to the owner of that hammer, and she pondered finding some means to increase her own strength. Obviously in order to be able to wield something of that nature in combat, one had to be capable of lifting far heavier. So it stood to reason that if she wanted to grow stronger in that manner, she would need to find something heavier to lift. Unfortunately, her quick mind failed her at providing ideas as to how she could accomplish this. It all became moot however, as Raven's voice cut through her thoughts once more. She turned in the direction her temporary employers were looking, noticing a dark purple mist rising up from below the clouds. A ship capable of sailing the lower skies, then? Those were not unheard of in this day and age, although they were still rare and uncommon. She found herself somewhat impressed at the appearance of the ship that emerged from the mist, crossing her arms in preparation for the situation to come. If she was to be protection, it was important to act and look the part. There were many times when someone had been turned from treachery simply because the body guards seemed like more trouble than they were worth. She was not sure if this man would be the type to respond that way, but she could not imagine what else she could undo until such a time that fighting became necessary. "Get your game faces on ladies. We got company." Annie summed up the tension in the air perfectly. This mysterious deal that she had been hired for was under way! She would be lying if she claimed she was not curious or in a small way exited about what was to come, though she certainly did not desire anyone to come to harm if it could be avoided. Whatever was going to happen though, was going to happen, and she would take it in stride. Let this man who only challenged those stronger than him come. A man who held the fear of other black pirates. Should he seek to do battle, she would show him why it was she held the title of 'The Indomitable Koi'! |

Raven could feel the tension in the air grow as the Misery rose from the depths of the skies. Her fists tightened as she tried to stop herself from shaking as she watched the large ship slowly turn before coming to a stop next to the island. Already she could make out the many faces of the ships crew looking over the side, waving their weapons around as if they all thirst for blood. Yet it was these loud low life that where the least of a threat to her, Annie and koi. Raven knew these where the crew members who would not last, their time on the ship grew sorter each day. No, there where only a few who could survive on that ship. A handful of unfortunate souls who one way or another crossed paths with it's captain. As the skies around them started to grow quiet Raven found her hand brushing against her neck. No longer could the mark be seen but she could feel where Oshima's blade has almost taken her head. A test that Raven was in no hurry to take again. This made her wonder, if Oshima could of taken her life that day then surly Cularmati did not consider her a worthy match. If that was to be the case then all she had to worry about was his crew and not him. She looked over for a moment at Annie who seemed just as ready to go as the crew of the Misery was. It was not easy to call who won that day, was it Annie or was it Razar. But then another thought entered her head as she glanced over at the hammer, waiting to be claimed by Cularmati. Maxwell, her old captain who she once thought was dead. Had he seen the White Raven and had it triggered his memory? ''Save Maxwell, take out his crew then escape.'' Raven found herself muttering. It was an odd feeling that grew within her. Right at that moment she had the two most important things in her life returned to her. Her very first and only ship, and her first love. ~ ''Ship fully ascended Captain!'' A lone crew man saluted as the Misery came to a stop. ''And word of my opponent?'' Cularmati questioned as he walked over to the side of his ship, looking out across the small island as her crew got themselves fired up. ''There sir.'' The same man pointed out towards where Koi had dropped the hammer. ''It would seem the myth was true.'' ''Yet I'm left standing alone once more.'' Cularmati looked upon the hammer, his face giving away no clue to his true feelings. He welcomed the challenge of Osma Dracoon, but in the end it would seem that once again fate had already taken from him what he desired. ''Bring him.'' Cularmati drew his sword as he turned around. Pointing it inches away from Wellwood's neck as two men held him arms and another kept hold of his cannon. ''Take a gander Mr. Wellwood.'' Cularmati turned and used his sword to point out the White Raven. ''Does this ship not call to you? Does she not beckon to your memories?'' The two men leg go of their grip of Wellwood as he fell to one knee. Looking up he looked on at the white ship, his eyes shaking ever so slightly as he tried to recall his lost thoughts. ''No.....'' He hung his head as he spoke. ''I have no memory of that ship...'' Cularmati reached out and opened his empty hand to which the crew member with Wellwood's weapon handed it over to his Captain. With the cannon in one hand and his sword in the other Cularmati pointed both at the kneeling man. ''You are of no more use to me Mr.Wellwood. Yet I would not be surprised to be proven wrong.'' Wellwood closed his eyes, something was calling to him yet he could not answer it's call. ''I'll take care of it.'' He said as he reached out to accept his cannon once more from Cularmati. With a grin that lasted no more than a second Cularmati returned the cannon and walked away, returning his own sword back to his belt. ~ ''I see movement!'' Raven called out as she pointed over at the Misery. There indeed was movement as a group of men started to lower the gangplank down onto the island. Raven tried her best from where she was to spot Maxwell, yet could not as the men seemed to be in no hurry to set foot on the island. ''Best get your aim ready.'' Raven nudged Annie, suggesting she took aim at the only way the crew had of getting onto the island. ''Koi, think you could take most of them on if it come down to it?'' Raven shot a grin at the Yafutoman woman. Kimi could see Raven and the others from where she stood up on the deck of the White Raven. Scythe in hand ready yet not far from the ship's wheel incase they had to get out of there fast. ~ ''Tell me, what do you see?'' Cularmati came to a stop outside of his quarters. A shadow of a men stepped out from the darkness to greet him. ''I see death, much death.'' Vision shook his head as he spoke. ''Fate would have it that even I can not see but whom it is.'' Cularmati with one hand on the door ready to push it open took one last look over his shoulder at the hammer and the White Raven. ''Not worthy.'' His last words before he entered his quarters. The door closed behind him as Vision disappeared back into the shadows. For a moment the Black Pirate stood there in the darkness, thinking back to how once again fate was against him. ''Will you let my hate have no end? Are others to suffer for all time?'' He lowered his head before sitting down. ''The hammer, retrieve it.'' Suddenly something moved in the darkness followed by a girlish laughter as someone or something rushed out from his quarters. ~ ''I'm going alone, no one is to follow.'' Wellwood looked over for a moment towards Raven as he stepped onto the gangplank. ''But we where promised some fun!'' several of the crew members mentioned as they waved their swords around. ''I guess my reunion can wait a little longer.'' Wellwood stepped aside as the men rushed past him down the gangplank and onto the island. ~ ''I see him!'' Raven pointed out towards Wellwood with a smile across her face. ''Wait! They are not letting him down!?'' She pulled out her sword as she watched the crew rush onto the island. ''So I have to work for my reward it would seem!'' Raven took a moment to watch as the men rushed towards them. She could not make out any of the 'higher up' crew members and could tell that these where just the low life scum, probably ones that feared for their lives mixed with a few who welcome the carnage that the Misery brings. ''He has no interest.'' Raven glanced over at the hammer. She was happy that it seemed Cularmati had no interest in her, her makeshift crew or the hammer. ''We could go...'' She turned to face the gangplank of the White Raven to see Kimi was now standing on it, holding her weapon at the ready. ''They will not enter here Captain!'' She smiled as she spun her scythe around a few times. ''I know how much he means to you, so let's not leave without him!'' Kimi's words made Raven smile. This was her chance to reclaim her lost captain. ''This should be easy. Cularmati would of been first out if he wanted to fight us! Sorry you two but we are not going without Maxwell!'' The crew was now only a few feet away as the first broke away from the group and charged at Raven. ''You'll never keep Maxwell captive!'' She pulled out he pistol and aimed it at the confused looking pirate. ''Captive?'' His confused question was lost as Raven pulled the trigger and blew him away just as the rest of the crew rushed them. (The low ranking members of the Misery are now attacking. You can take them on how you please. However stay on the island and stay clear of the hammer.) |

Annie grimaced as the Misery rose from the clouds and made straight for the island. "Still as ugly as five miles of bad road." She muttered to herself. At the same time she had to admit that Cularmati's ship looked pretty badass. "Wouldn't mind takin' it for a spin myself one day." Soon the Misery had pulled up alongside the island and a boarding ramp was extended. Raven seemed to be looking for someone on board but Annie didn't notice. She too had her eyes out for a certain person she'd been looking forward to meeting again. "That sharpshooter is lurkin' somewhere up there." Annie said to herself as she scanned the Misery's upper decks and rigging for some sign of Razar's presence. "Probably already got us in his crosshairs." Movement on the deck attracted the attention of them both. The Black Pirate and the bounty hunter watched as a group of surly looking crewmen started down the ramp and set foot on the island. "Best get your aim ready." Raven suggested. "I'm always ready." Annie replied. She reached beneath the neck of her blouse and withdrew a thin iron chain. From this dangled a pair of military dog-tags. The name 'Murdock Oakshot' was engraved upon the surface of each along with his rank and squad number. Annie raised them to her lips and kissed the tags for luck. "Gonna make you proud today pappy. Watch my back will ya." She offered the silent request to the memory of her father. Just then the Misery's crewmen broke into a run and charged the trio. "Come and get it!" Annie yelled, grinning fiercely as she brandished her machinegun. ~ As Raven engaged the first wave of pirates Annie strafed to the left to draw some of them away and break up their numbers. She briefly considered launching a flare into their midst to annihilate them all with one shot of the White Raven's cannons. The idea was dropped just as quickly though. "No sense in draggin' out the big guns for these flunkies." Annie snorted. Instead she pulled an Incendiary grenade from her dress pocket, pulled its pin with her teeth and lobbed it into the path of the oncoming pirates. "Oh shi~" The lead man swore when he saw the danger. He tried to skid to a stop but the men rushing up behind him prevented him from retreating. The grenade exploded in a wave of fire and noise, engulfing the pirates. Most were killed immediately but a couple who were bringing up the rear threw themselves to the ground and rolled around in an attempt to extinguish the flames that were, even now, consuming their flesh. "Don't fret." Came a consolatory voice from nearby. "Mama's got ya." Annie fired two shots from one of her revolvers, ending the pirate's suffering with a quick mercy-killing. Then it was back to work. She stepped around the burning corpses and took aim at the men who were squaring off against Raven. "Hey nut-huggers!" Annie yelled to get their attention. "I got somethin' for you too!" ~ As Annie dashed over to join the melee she slung her machinegun over her shoulder and drew her pistols for close-range combat. But before she could come to Raven's aid she found her path blocked by one of the pirates. "That's as far as you go little girl." The man snarled, brandishing a Suiran Blade to halt Annie's advance. Annie slowed to a stop several feet from the pirate. She could tell by the way that he carried himself that he was going to put up one hell of a fight before going down. Her eyes took in his appearance from head to toe. His olive skin and slanted eyes clearly identified him as a Yafutoman and his toned muscles hinted at his prowess in battle. The pirate's forearms were inked with elaborate tattoos in the shape of flowing flames and the flesh of his torso bore many scars. Both traits were on display since he was not wearing a shirt. Nor was he wearing boots. And now that she had a closer look Annie could see a similar flame design woven into the cuffs of the swordsman's pants. "Move it or lose it bub." Annie growled, trying to intimidate the Yafutoman pirate. It was obvious from his arrogant stance that he was not going to back down though. "I cannot. My captain has ordered me to stop you even at the cost of my own life." The swordsman intoned solemnly. "Thus you may only proceed....ah, what is the phrase you westerners like to use at times like this?" He asked in mock curiosity. "Oh yes. 'over my dead body' I believe it is." "Sounds good to me chuck. I'll do that." Annie snorted. "And I'll wipe my feet off on your @$$." The faintest hint of a smile crossed the swordsman's face. "Very well. Have at me then!" ~ Annie cocked the hammer of one of her revolvers and took a shot at the swordsman. He whipped his head to the side, dodging it by mere inches as he swung his sword downward. The blade descended towards Annie's forehead but was blocked at the last second as she brought the barrels of her guns up to catch it between them. The strength behind the swordsman's swing forced her to her knees and threatened to push the sword's edge through her face. "Unnngh..." Annie grunted with exertion but managed to turn the blade aside just enough to bring one of her weapons into alignment with the swordsman's chest. She squeezed the trigger but her shot missed its mark as he suddenly pulled away, causing Annie to pitch forward. She nearly fell to the ground but kicked off with both feet and turned her fall into a roll that carried her a short distance away. Both combatants recovered and turned to face one another again. The swordsman leapt forward and slashed at Annie's neck with a powerful backhanded swing. Annie ducked beneath it and aimed another shot at him. The swordsman twirled away and avoided the bullet. His leg whipped around to catch Annie with a surprise attack. She gasped in pain as the swordsman's ankle connected with her ribs but had the wits to grapple his outstretched limb before he could withdraw it. For a second the swordsman hopped about on one leg. Then Annie's free hand was thrusting a pistol into his face. He grabbed her wrist with his free hand and pointed the gun away from him. "I have you!" The swordsman cried out in exultation. Both of Annie's pistols were immobilized but his Suiran Blade was not. He pointed its tip at Annie's heart and prepared to run her through. "Yeah, you're about to get it alright!" Annie snapped back as she raised her foot into the swordsman's crotch. His face contorted in pain while his weapon wavered for a second. And that was all the time Annie needed. She released his leg and whipped her other pistol around to take another shot at him. The swordsman's Suiran Blade lashed out and connected with the weapon's barrel and sent it flying. "You will pay for that cowardly attack!" He shrieked as he twisted Annie's other arm painfully and forced her to her knees. "Gyaaah!" Annie winced in pain. She struggled to rise but fell still as the edge of the swordsman's blade pressed against the side of her neck. "Do you have any last words to speak before I end your life?" He asked in a cold voice. "Yeah, I got something to say." Annie snorted. "So clean the wax outta your ears and listen." The swordsman scowled down at her but let her speak. "What is it?" He asked patiently. "Just this." Annie returned coolly. "Bang." The swordsman furrowed his brow in confusion at this. But his expression turned to one of surprise when another gunshot rang out and a searing pain erupted in his belly. In the few seconds remaining of his life the swordsman noticed two things; the bloody gunshot wound in his abdomen and the smoking barrel of the derringer Annie was clutching in her free hand. "Ah, I see. You had another gun." The swordsman groaned, releasing his grip on her arm as he crumpled to the ground next to her. Annie lifted the derringer up to her lips to blow away the smoke trailing from its barrel. "And you had me cold there for a second." She sighed. "My pappy always told me not to hesitate. 'Just take the shot' he'd say to me." "Good advice....." The swordsman gasped. "A pity I will not....ugh...not live long enough....to heed it." He added as blood spilled from between his lips. And then the light drained from his eyes and he pitched forward to the ground. Annie rose to her feet and dusted her dress off. She didn't have any witty comments or scathing insults to say. Nor did she wipe her feet on the swordsman's backside as she stepped past him. There was more killing to be done today and it wouldn't do to keep Raven waiting any longer. "Hang in there boss lady." Annie growled. "I'm a'comin'." |

''No one will stand in my way!'' Raven yelled as she unloaded several bullets into the crowd of pirates. ''I have come to far to lose him again!'' Her pistol clicked to indicate she was out of ammo to which she replaced it with her sword just in time to counter block one of the pirates as his own blade clashed against her own. She did not have time to waste on these low lives as she was edging closer and closer towards the Misery. Maxwell in her sights as he stood on deck right next to the gangplank. Part of her mind questioned why he did not make a run for it but she figured with so many pirates around it would not be safe. Yet no matter she thought, noting was going to stop her reaching him. ~ ''Load the cannons!'' Kimi yelled into one of the open port holes as she stood guard on the gangplank of the White Raven. Only a small hand full of Black Pirates had got past Raven and Annie yet they did not stand a chance against Kimi's scythe thanks to a mix of it's long reach and narrow area of the gangplank working in her favour. ''We're going as fast as we can!'' One of the now ex Regal Co workers replied. They joined up for a new life and adventure but where not expecting things to escalate so fast. ''Koi!'' Kimi called out as the woman was landed a few punches of her own into the fces of the pirates. ''Help them below deck!'' Koi took one look over her shoulder and with a nod got back onto the ship and below deck in order to assist with the cannons. ~ As the fight went on a single figure stood looking over the side of the Misery. ''We want to play....'' Marisa said as she watched the pirates take on Raven and Annie. However she knew she had a mission and when given an order by Cularmati himself she knew she was to not disappoint him. She looked out over the island and away from the fighting. There in the distance was the lone hammer, sitting there waiting to be collected. Without a thought or care for her safety Marisa jumped from the side of the ship and down towards the island surface. At the last moment she used her claw like hand and clawed into the side of the ship to slow her fall, landing gracefully on her feet. The girl could not help but take another look over at the fighting as a few of the pirates where gunned down. Marisa found that her claw like had was moving my itself towards the fighting as if the bloodshed was calling to her. ''Marisa must wait, play time later.'' The girl told herself as she used her other hand to push back her claws. Eyes no focused on the hammer she started to make her way towards it, stopping every now and then to look towards the fallen pirates and sniff at the air as if the very sent of death was turning her on. It was a tough battle she had to fight in order to not give into her own needs, at least not yet. ~ ''Maxwell!'' Raven called out as she cut down one last pirate who stood in her way. The others had finally got the message that they where no match for the Black Pirate as well as the gun crazed girl to which they had started to back away from too. Wellwood looked down at Raven from the Misery as he moved to stand at the top of the gangplank. He glanced up at the White Raven then back down at the masked pirate. ''Maxwell it's me! Raven!'' The Black Pirate yelled up at the memory lost man. ''Me...Remona....'' Wellwood turned his head away from her gaze with closed eyes. ''I don't know you...'' Raven felt his words cut into her heart, she could not move or want to believe what she heard. ~ ''Why is it that I can no longer hear the screams of death?'' Cularmati questioned as he stood and opened the door to his cabin. He was met with the sight of his crew rushing back onto deck as Wellwood stood facing Raven. ''Mr Wellwood, I grow bored.'' Cularmati turned his back on the man. ''It is time to end your pain, to let go of your past.'' ''Ay sir.....'' Wellwood turned to face Raven as two other men removed the gangplank. ''Jump Maxwell!'' Raven yelled as tears filled her eyes. ''You must remember.'' Yet Wellwood juts looked away as the Misery started to pull away slowly from the island. ~ ''We won!'' We ex Regal crew members started to cheer as they saw the Misery starting to moves away from the island. ''Would seem so?'' Kimi agreed from outside as she stepped backwards off the gangplank and onto the ship's deck. The pirates had all rushed back onto the Misery and now it was starting to move away. ''I'm a little surprised.'' Kimi told herself. ''He really did just take the hammer and leave...'' Kimi turned to look at where the hammer once was or in fact still was. Her eyes widened in realisation as she watched the crazy girl with the metal arm approach the hammer. She knew there was no way Cularmati would leave her or the hammer behind. Kimi quickly looked back at the Misery and in that instance realised what was going on. ''Annie!'' Kimi yelled down. She could see Annie wasn't too far from the ship yet Raven was on the other side of the island. ''Get back up here now!'' Kimi called to her as she turned and ran to take the ship's wheel. She quickly got the ship moving and pulled away from the island. ''They plan to attack!'' Kimi yelled out. ~ ''No! I won't lose you again!'' Raven's tears dyed up as anger took ahold of her. As the Misery slowly moved away she searched every pocket for ammo and came across a single bullet to which she loaded into her pistol. Taking aim she pointed it at Maxwell's wooden leg and fired. The shot knocked Wellwood off balance which sent him over the side of the ship causing him to crash into the ground below. Slowly he picked himself up, ''You should of forgot about who I once was.'' As Wellwood stood up he pulled out his handheld cannon. ''If this is what it will take, I will make you remember!'' Raven took out her sword and prepared to face off against her old Captain. Wellwood raised his arm and pointed the cannon at Raven. ''Fire!'' He yelled as he pulled the trigger. Raven was taken by surprise as to why he yelled but not too surprised that she could not avoid the slow weapon. She rolled to her right as the cannon fire blasted by her, slamming into the ground where she once stood and creating a small hole. Yet as to why he yelled became clear. At the same time two cannons fired from the Misery as Raven tuned to follow their path towards the White Raven. A shocked face change to one of a grin as the two cannon balls hit where the White Raven originally was. ''Kimi'' She muttered after seeing that the young girl had seen this coming and was right at this moment moving the ship away. ''You only have two shots. I think for your sake you best start to remember me.'' Raven stood up as the rush of battle started to take over her. She held out her sword at the ready. ~ ''Here it comes!'' Kimi yelled as the two cannon balls blasted into the ground only a few feet from the ship. Below deck Koi and the crew struggled to get the cannons out and ready to fire. ''We can't fire yet! We might hit Raven!'' Kimi was in a situation she did not like at all. She knew if they did not start to fire back they where just a sitting target, yet Raven was on the island and in the cross fire of both ships along with Wellwood and Marisa. ''What to do what to do...Ah Annie watch out!!!!'' Kimi screamed as she spotted a small red light speed across the deck and run up the side of Annie's leg. ~ As the two ships started to circle the small island a long man stood at the top of the Misery's crow nest. With his weapon aimed she looked down the sight, ''Round two....'' where the only words he muttered before pulling the trigger. |

(OOC - I wrote some action for Koi in the first part of my post to cover for Pie and give her character a decent exit scene. And because it's fun writing this sort of scene.) "I have to give it to ya lady." One of the Misery's pirates chuckled as he and a trio of his cohorts approached Koi. "You gotta lot of nerve facin' us empty-handed." "Indeed I do!" Koi laughed bombastically in return. "And whom shall I be facing first I wonder?" She added, raising her hand to beckon the pirates closer. But instead of a single challenger stepping forward all four men rushed Koi at once. But the female grappler had expected such a cowardly tactic and was prepared to receive them. "Yer dead!" The nearest pirate yelled as he raised a boarding axe and leapt forward to cleave her skull in half with its keen edge. Koi caught the pirate off guard with an offense of her own. She rushed forward to meet him, ducking low and then diving straight at him to tackle him about the waste. They both went down in a pile, causing the pirates moving in behind the first to step aside, lest they too be toppled. Before any of the men could capitalize on her vulnerable position Koi rose to her feet and grabbed the fallen pirate around the ankles. "Round and 'round you go!" She chuckled as she began spinning around in a circle, swinging the hapless pirate around by his feet in a dizzying spiral. "Aaaaaaaah!" The pirate screamed as the axe went flying from his grip. His blood was rushing to his head and he felt himself growing faint. Koi's leering mask swam before his vision as the world whirled past just behind her. The other pirates couldn't get close enough to attack Koi so long as their cohort was in this predicament. His spinning body was like a human shield. All they could do was look on and brandish their weapons until Koi released him. And release him she did. "Here, CATCH!" Koi yelled as she sent her captive opponent flying. He collided with two of the other pirates and all three went down in a heap. They struggled to shove his dead weight off but he had already passed out and was not easily moved. "You missed one!" The last pirate snarled as he lunged forward, a long knife jutting out before him in search of Koi's flesh. "So I did!" She returned heartily. The wrestler's left arm snapped out to ensnare his wrist while her right swept down between his legs to encircle his leg. Then, in one smooth motion she hoisted him off of the ground and onto her shoulders. Two short steps brought Koi to the side of the pile of pirates who were still struggling to regain their feet. "Up you go." She grunted, giving her burden a nudge upward. Flexing her muscles Koi lifted the pirate up above her head in a military press. His eyes widened with fright when he realized what was about to happen. Likewise the men lying at her feet could only watch helplessly. "And down you GO!" Koi gasped as she deposited the pirate unceremoniously atop his fallen cohorts. All three men groaned in pain and lay still. Only the unconscious one was spared the pain. But it was clear from their expressions that the pirates had had enough for one day. Unfortunately Koi had not. With a mighty leap Koi rose into the air and then came crashing down atop the downed pirates in a body splash that caused them all the groan even louder. "Now then. If you know what's good for you you'll stay down for the count." Koi warned the men as she rose to her feet and dusted her hands off. ~ "Heh, you got some smooth moves sis." Annie chortled as she came trotting over to Koi's side. It seemed Raven had things in hand and now the grappler had wrapped up her end of the fight as well. The masked wrestler turned and gave her a thumbs-up, smiling in satisfaction. The pirates left standing were all making a beeline for the Misery. "Yeah, tuck your tails between your legs and run home to mama!" Annie screamed after the cowardly cannon-fodder. "Oh...cannons, yeah." She suddenly recalled. Brandishing her flare gun Annie lobbed one of the brightly burning signal rounds into the air. With perfect aim it came to light several feet in front of the retreating pirates. "That's the signal!" One of the Regal Boys called from the open gun-port. "FIRE!" BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-KABOOM! The four cannons that Annie had positioned on the near side of the White Raven's gunnery deck all went off at the same time. She slapped her hand against her forehead as the cannonballs streaked over her head and decimated the gang of pirates just as they were running past the still-burning flare. A cloud of dirt and blood flew into the air as the heavy iron balls impacted the ground, pulverizing the men who trod upon it. "You lame-brained sacks of @#$&!" Annie screamed up at the gunners. "I didn't say to fire them ALL AT ONCE did I?" Due to the Regal Boys' blunder half of the White Raven's cannons were now empty. Kimi wisely called for Koi to head belowdeck and help them to reload. ~ With the first wave of pirates either dead or in full retreat Raven headed straight towards the Misery. "Chargin' down the guns huh?" Annie smirked as she loped after the Black Pirate. "I like your style Boss Lady! Let's give 'em hell!" As the two of them approached the ship a familiar figure appeared at its railing. ''Maxwell it's me! Raven!'' Raven called out to him. Annie's addled mind was having trouble recalling where she'd seen the man last. But she remembered the huge cannon he carried readily enough. Her fingers began to twitch in anticipation of another firefight breaking out between them. Wellwood didn't attack them this time however. He and Raven exchanged a few words that seemed to upset the female pirate. But it was the sight of the Misery beginning to lift off that Annie found upsetting. As the huge ship pulled away from the island she could see its gun-ports being raised and the barrels of many cannons extending out from the depths of the hellish vessel. "Oh @#$&! They 'bout to light us up!" Annie cried out. "Run for it sis!" Raven was too distracted by Wellwood's presence to heed her warning. But Annie didn't realize that her captain hadn't followed her until she reached the White Raven's gangplank. ''Annie! Get back up here now!'' Kimi yelled down at her from the ship's deck. Annie glanced anxiously up at her and then back at Raven. "We can't just leave her hangin' like this!" She shot back. "Even I ain't that cold-blooded!" ''They plan to attack!'' Kimi countered. With one last backward glance at Raven Annie swore under her breath and then made her way up the gangplank. "Guess we'll have to come back for her later." She sighed as the first round of gunfire erupted from the Misery's deck. "If there is a later." ~ Thanks to Kimi's piloting skills the White Raven escaped the opening volley unscathed. "I'll head belowdeck and man the guns myself." Annie told her as she turned to head for the hatchway. ''We can't fire yet! We might hit Raven!'' Kimi countered anxiously. "Don't worry kid." Annie reassured her. "I don't hit nothin' 'cept what I'm aimin' at." Annie had only gone a few steps before Kimi called out a warning that stopped her dead in her tracks. "Oh hell...." She breathed when she beheld the glowing red dot sliding up the length of her leg. Annie threw herself to the deck a split second before it reached her head. The deck where she'd just been standing shattered in a rain of splinters as the unseen sniper's shot struck it. Even with her addled thoughts Annie knew immediately where that bullet had come from. "Take a pot-shot at me will ya!" She snarled as she scrambled to her feet and made a mad dash for the stairwell leading down to the lower decks. Behind her three more holes appeared in the White Raven's deck as if by magic. At this distance the report from Razar's rifle was inaudible. But his aim was as precise as ever. Annie dove down the stairs and slid down their length, swearing loudly the whole way. She fetched up in a painful pile at the bottom and lay there for a moment as she collected her thoughts. "From the angle I'll wager that bad boy was firing from the riggin'." Annie surmised, her keen mind for ballistics analyzing the situation and formulating a counterattack. "Well, I gots just the thing to fix his lil' red wagon." Annie smirked as she got her hands beneath her and rose to her feet. With confident strides Annie made her way down the hallway leading to the gunnery deck. Reaching her destination she practically kicked the door off of its hinges, startling the already frightened Regal Boys in the process. "Pull your heads out of your @$$es and listen up!" Annie yelled at the former Regal company employees. Despite her bluster it was obvious that they were glad to see her. This was their first ship battle and every one of them was completely clueless as to what they were supposed to be doing. From amongst them men Koi saluted her, letting Annie know that all of the guns had been rearmed. "You milky-lickers wanted to be pirates! Well, now's the time to nut up and earn your stripes!" She cried in a loud voice, somehow managing to rally the Regal Boys' spirits and hurt their feelings at the same time. "Now take a gander at what I'm about to do!" Annie directed the mens' attention to one of the cannons. She stepped over to it, cast a glance out of the gun-port and then fell to one knee in a firing position. "I'm about to show you rookies how to handle your business!" Annie's hand dove into her dress pocket and came out grasping her lighter. With a flick of her finger she lit it and then held its flame up to the cannon's fuse. With a soft hiss it ignited in a bright spar that left a trail of smoke and ashes as it traveled down into the big gun's breach. "Here it comes baby." Annie whispered. She puckered her lips and blew a kiss across the sky towards Razar just as the cannon roared loudly, belching smoke and thunder. From its mouth a cannonball streaked across the divide, tracing an unerring path towards the Misery. |

Raven and Wellwood stood acing one another as if they where in a world of their own. Even the returning fire of a single cannon shot from the white Raven could not distract the two as they raised their weapons. Wellwood aimed his cannon at Raven, his eyes taking a moment to focus on the two remaining shots he had. Raven two took a quick glance at her sword, knowing she would need to get in close to attack now having used up every last shot she had with her pistol. Speed was on Raven's side as Wellwood's leg stopped him from making quick movements, that and the weight of his weapon alone would slow down his turning speed. Raven knew this and as soon as he fired his next shot she was ready to move in for the attack. ~ Razar stood up right, holding his sniper rifle at his side. A single eye brow rose as not only did he miss his target once again but now there seemed to be a cannon ball flying towards him. However he kept calm and awaited the speeding object as if he himself was waiting for something to happen. Just then a loud grunt could be heard from where Razar stood. A grunt that sounded like someone lifting something heavy. Within a split second Razar raised his sniper and aimed just above the cannon ball, then from below a large anchor came flying upwards as it smashed into the cannon ball. The speeding object shattered the anchor which in turn slowed the ball down and moved it's direction slightly upwards. Without hesitation Razar fired above the cannon ball, his shot making contact, adding to it's new direction which saw it smashing only a few metres above where Razar was standing. The top of the mast fell away as the sniper looked out across the sky at the White Raven. ''Why her?'' He asked himself as he pointed his rifle downwards. He pulled the trigger three times and with each shot a crew member of the Misery fell to their end. ''It's not me....'' Razar muttered before cracking a smile. ''So, she is my challenge.'' ~ ''Incoming!'' Kikiora yelled as she rushed to the side of the ship as the White Raven fired at them. She grabbed a hold of a large anchor and started to swing it around. With a loud sigh she let go of her heavy object and flung it to intercept the flying object. ''No one attacks this ship and lives!'' The Ixa'taka warrior shouted out as she turned to face the lone man at the wheel. ''Get us closer!'' ''Are you sure!?'' The crew member questioned. ''You get closer, or I'll fire YOU out of a cannon!'' Kikiora yelled back up to him. Without any word the man did what he was ordered to do and slowly the Misery started to turn direction as it headed for the White Raven. ~ ''Oh great!'' Kimi shouted out. ''Now their coming for us!'' She watched as the Misery turned to intercept them. ''No you don't!'' Kimi turned the wheel in an attempt to avoid letting the Misery pull along side of the White Raven. She knew the last thing they wanted to have all of those cannons along side their own ship. ~ ''Maxwell, I will make you remember!'' Raven pointed he sword at the memory lost man, yet noticed he was no longer pointing his cannon at her. ''If I was someone you know then that man is now dead.'' Wellwood raised his hand to which Raven realised the Misery was just now passing over head. ''Follow me only if you wish to die.'' Wellwood grabbed onto a rope that dangled from over the side of the ship as several crew members pulled him up. ''You can't run from me!'' Raven yelled as she took a swing at his legs, knowing she would miss but did so anyway was he was lifted high above her. That was when she turned to see that her own ship was too moving but away from her. ''Hey! Don't leave me here!'' Raven waved her hands as she looked around, expecting herself to be the only one on the island now. She turned to check and caught a sight that worried her. ''Oh heck no.'' Raven muttered as she spotted the crazed Marisa making her way over to where the hammer waited. Silently Raven rushed over towards where her ship was slowly moving too, hoping that someone would lower a rope of something. ~ Kikiora saw that the White Raven was pulling away from their attempt to intercept it but that did not stop her. Without a second thought she ran at full speed across the deck, grabbing a hold of one of the many anchors as she did. Approaching the edge of the Misery she swung the anchor and jumped, using it to swing herself across the small gap of the two ships as they passed one another. With a loud thud Kikiora landed safely on the deck of the White Raven. Kimi looked down at the Ixa'taka woman, seeing that she herself would be no match for her. That and she was making sure to keep the White Raven away from the Misery line of fire. ''Koi!'' Kimi yelled, ''We need you on deck!'' ~ ''Bring her around!'' Wellwood called out as he climbed up onto the deck. ''We''ll blow them out of the skies.'' |

The Regal Boys were all on edge. The sound of cannons being fired, the sensation of the White Raven turning and swerving through evasive maneuvers and the overpowering fear inspired by the sight of the Misery bearing down on them was nearly too much for the fledgling Air Pirates to take. It didn't help them one bit when Annie began swearing loudly at having her carefully aimed shot knocked out of midair by a flying anchor that came out of nowhere. And when she began choking the nearest man out of sheer frustration many among them began wondering if their decision to join Raven's crew had been a sound one. After a short but spastic fit Annie finally managed to calm herself. "Hmph, nothin' to do now but keep the irons in the fire and wait." She snorted as she flopped down on top of a powder keg and stared intently out of the gunport. Beyond the opening the Misery hove in and out of her line of sight. With Kimi keeping their ship on the defensive like this it was going to be tough to line up a clear shot. And until one presented itself Annie would just have to keep her cool. "Yep. Stay frosty and pick your shots boys." Annie told the Regal Boys. "Don't blow yer load too soon." ~ ''Koi! 'We need you on deck!" Kimi yelled frantically, eyeing the amazon who had just appeared upon the White Raven's deck anxiously. Her voice was heard down in the cannon chamber and Koi was eager to respond. She pushed herself away from the wall which she had been leaning against and calmly made her way towards the door. "Looks like I'm up next on the card." She said in a calm voice. "Bust 'em up good sis. I'll hold down the fort here." Annie saluted her. "With these nut-huggers." She added with a disgusted look at the Regal Boys. Koi smirked beneath her mask as she exited the cannon chamber and mounted the stairs that led up to the deck. ~ "Which one of you walking corpses was it who just took a pot-shot at our ship?" Kikiora snarled as she stalked across the White Raven's deck. Her head turned to glare in Kimi's direction suspiciously. She was the only one present and, even though she was not the guilty party, she would be the one who Kikiora would vent her wrath upon. Kimi swallowed a lump in her throat and shifted anxiously from where the Misery was maneuvering in the distance to where she'd propped her halberd against the rail nearby and finally back to Kikiora. The young sailor wasn't certain what she should do. It was obvious that a fight with the amazon was imminent and yet she could not leave the ship's helm. The sound of footfalls echoing up from the stairwell brought a smile to Kimi's face. "Someone ring my bell?" The Indomitable Koi chuckled as she emerged onto the deck. Her eyes were immediately drawn towards Kikiora. "And it looks like my opponent is already in the ring too." "You look strong." Kikiora smiled as she laid eyes on Koi, clearly satisfied with the prospect of fighting a worthy adversary. "But are you stronger than me?" "Looks like we're about to find out." Koi returned coolly, flexing her arms to loosen them up before their match began. Kikiora's smile widened until her teeth were showing at the sound of the female wrestler's bravado. "Indeed we are!" She yelled. "Here I come!" As Kikiora rushed forward to meet her Koi braced herself and lowered her body into a fighting stance. "Then let's go!" She cried with equal fervor. ~ Kikiora and Koi clashed together, their palms meeting with a clap of flesh against flesh. They locked their fingers together and strove against one another with all of their might in a contest of brute strength. For several seconds it seemed as if the two women were equal in terms of strength. But soon Kikiora prevailed. "It seems I am the strongest after all." She gloated as Koi's knees began to buckle and she started sinking down towards the deck. "Don't assume you've won until after the 3-count!" Koi returned triumphantly. Suddenly Kikiora found herself stumbling forward as the masked wrestler stopped resisting and threw herself backward. At the same time Koi braced her foot against the amazon's belly and thrust her leg upward, propelling Kikiora into the air. Kikiora flipped over and fell to the deck but managed to land on all fours like a cat. At the same time Koi kipped up to her feet and spun around to face her again. And in that single second the amazon swept her leg around and swept Koi's feet out from under her. Koi fell flat on her back, staring up at the sky in a daze. In a flash of movement Kikiora sprang to her feet and dashed past her, trampling Koi's stomach as she went. The Yafutoman grappler gasped in pain and sat up, fighting down the urge to vomit. "That's right! Know your place! It's beneath my heel!" Kikiora screamed in exultation. She stalked over and reached down, grabbing the hair that spilled from beneath Koi's mask and yanked her cruelly to her feet. "Now get up! I'm not satisfied yet!" Kikiora balled up her fist, reached way back and prepared to assert herself with a vicious punch. But Koi's arm lashed out as it descended towards her face and swept the blow aside. At the same time she bucked forward, delivering a skull-shaking headbutt to Kikiora's temple. While the amazon was reeling from the blow Koi reached around and grappled her neck. She then popped her hips and hoisted Kikiora straight upward until her feet pointed towards the sky. Koi held her in that position for a few seconds, allowing the blood to rush to her head, and then drove her into the deck with a powerful slam. "How's that for satisfaction?" Koi chuckled. With her opponent down she decided it was time to wrap things up. She casually reached down and grabbed Kikiora's ankles and skillfully flipped her onto her belly. The masked wrestler then sat down astride her back and wrenched her legs backward until she was nearly bent in half. Kikiora screamed in pain and she could almost hear her vertebrate cracking under the strain. But somehow, through sheer determination, she managed to get her hands beneath her and slowly, agonizingly, began pushing her body up off of the deck, bearing Koi's weight along with her. "Whoa! Hey, just tap out!" Koi called back over her shoulder in utter amazement. "You're going to cause yourself some serious harm if you keep that up!" But the mighty amazon was deaf to her warning. Gritting her teeth and bearing the pain Kikiora straightened her legs and catapulted Koi off of her back. The Yafutoman grappler rolled to a crouch a few feet away while her injured opponent staggered back to her feet. "I would face death itself before admitting defeat to someone like you!" Kikiora spat back at her. It was obvious that she was in pain yet completely willing to continue their fight. Fortunately for her Koi was eager to oblige her. Without giving the amazon a chance to recover she dashed forward, crouching low to tackled her around the waist. It was a move designed to send them both crashing back to the ground with Koi on top. But somehow Kikiora managed to absorb the impact and remain standing. The masked wrestler could not fathom how she had accomplished this but the answer soon presented itself. "Playtime is over." Kikiora growled in a low voice as a red glow enveloped her body. "Time to get serious." As the Increm spell took effect the mighty amazon felt her whole body being flooded with power. At the same time all of her aches and pains were pushed to the back of her mind and a red rage rushed in to fill the void. "That's...cheating!" Koi protested, still grappling Kikiora around the waist. She released the hold and tried to step back out of her reach but her opponent was having none of that. The amazon's spell-strengthened arms reached down and wrapped around Koi's waist, as if mimicking her own hold. Then she lifted the masked wrestler bodily off of the deck. For a brief moment Koi found herself gazing down at the amazon's bare feet. And then everything went black as Kikiora drove her skull into the deck. Flesh and bone clashed against wooden planks and the planks emerged victorious. Koi was down for the count. "Again I am triumphant!" Kikiora raised her fists into the air as she stood above her fallen opponent. "Now then...." She hissed, turning her gaze back to Kimi. "You are next!" ~ Kimi found herself back in the same predicament she'd been in only moments earlier. How could she maintain control of the White Raven and keep it out of the Misery's line-of-fire with this muscle-bound monster woman harassing her. Kimi was just about to make a grab for her halberd when the sound of footsteps coming up the stairwell gave her new hope. The footfalls were not as heavy this time and they sounded like they were in a hurry. "What the bejeezes is going on up here?" An angry voice announced Annie's arrival a moment before she appeared on the deck. "Hmph, go back to wherever you came from kid." Kikiora snorted when she beheld the smaller woman. "I'm not interested in challenging any small-fries." "You were about to do a number on Short Stack there weren't ya?" Annie pointed Kimi out. Then she pointed Kikiora out with the barrel of her machine gun. "And there ain't nobody bigger than what I got right here ya pumped-up man-cow!" Kimi was all but forgotten now. Kikiora obviously took offense to Annie's rude comments. No one on Arcadia would have blamed her for that. But the sight of a loaded weapon in her hands kept the amazon from doing anything about it. "Drop that thing and face me like a true warrior!" Kikiora challenged Annie to a bout of grappling much like the one she'd just had with Koi. Annie wasn't interested in rubbing all up on a sweaty muscle-woman though. "The only thing I'm gonna drop is YOU you muscle-lovin' she-male!" Gunfire broke out across the White Raven's deck. Annie fired a swarm of bullets towards Kikiora, forcing the amazon to retreat. She had barely managed to dodge the first volley before Annie had her back in her weapon's sights. Her finger tightened against the trigger but suddenly went slack when Kimi appeared between her and the fleeing amazon. Kikiora grabbed Kimi and pulled her in front of her, using the frightened Yafutoman like a human shield. "That's dirty pool!" Annie protested. The barrel of her gun wavered helplessly. "Here, take her then!" Kikiora laughed back. She was still under the effects of Increm when she flung Kimi across the deck so the smaller girl flew quite a distance. Annie dropped her weapon and stretched out her arms to catch her. "I gotcha!" She yelled as Kimi fell into her embrace. And then the two of them nearly fell to the deck when the White Raven, now flying with no one at the helm, suddenly lurched to one side. In the near distance the Misery loomed closer. "I have to get back to the wheel!" Kimi cried, pulling herself free of Annie's grasp. She took two tottering steps towards the helm but then found herself being tackled from behind. "Get down!" Annie yelled. She leapt forward and bore both of them to the deck. The planks just a few inches away from them exploded in a cloud of wooden shivers. I singular dot of red light remained hovering over the jagged hole. Without Kimi to guide it the White Raven soon drifted right into the Misery's path. A shadow covered the white ship's deck as the hellish vessel swept by above them. "Don't think I'm anywhere close to being done with you!" Kikiora yelled at them. "But I think some of my friends would like to have a little fun too!" From above a length of rope fell down into the amazon's waiting hand. As the Misery swept past above she was pulled upward, off of the White Raven's deck and out of the fight. "You'll be meeting them soon enough! Make sure you play nice with them!" And then the two ships broke apart again. Kimi scuttled to her feet and quickly brought the White Raven back under control. Annie rose more slowly and walked over to the railing to watch the Misery pull away. As the two ships separated again Annie caught a glimpse of Razar, still perched atop the crow's nest. This time he had been tasked with recovering his shipmate but Annie was certain that the next time he took a shot at her it would be to end her life. Annie's brow furrowed in anger and her mouth became a hard line when the sniper held up a finger, making a slash mark in the air. "Yeah, I got ya. The score is one-zip." Annie growled, holding up a finger of her own to flip Razar off. "Guess it's up to me to even the odds." |

''One down!'' Kikiora cheered as her feet touched down on the deck of the Misery. She punched the air above her and grinned at taking down probably the most physically strong member of the opposite crew. A few crew members joined in her little celebration yet one got too close and found himself being tossed across the deck as a victory sign from Kikiora. Showing the others just what she did to beat down Koi. ''I'm ready for round two!'' She smirked as she looked back at the White Raven as it was starting to once again move into sight. She knew it was only a matter of time seeing how they had without doubt the better ship. ''Same some for me, I want a challenge!'' A booming voice came from behind the crew. A large man stepped out as he yanked off his hand and dropped it to the ground. Within seconds he replaced where the fake hand once was with a short harpoon. ''A challenge you say Victor?'' Kikiora raised her fists at the large viking. ''A challenge, not a one sided blood bath.'' Victor joked as he waved his hand at the Ixa'taka warrior. Even a man of his size knew it was best to not challenge Kikiora after she has already pulled off a solid win. ''Nothing but dispair awaits us, you know this right?'' Another voice came from behind the two. They both looked to see the lone samurai leaning up against a few stacked crates. ''What do you care?'' Victor yelled back as he pointed over at the White Raven. ''These guys need to learn how to fear the name Cularmati!'' The Samurai closed his eyes for a moment as he rested. ''Do as you want.'' Victor's rage started to raise at the Samurai's attitude. They all knew he was only part of the crew in order to improve his own skills yet they kept him around for when ever he dared to challenge their captain. ''Let's go!'' Victor roared turning to face the oncoming ship. ~ ''Thanks Annie..'' Kimi muttered, trying to be thankful while keeping control of the ship. She had managed to once more get the ship back up but thanks to the sneak attack but Razar they let Kikiora escape. Kimi knew hand to hand or even with her weapon that she would of lost the fight and she was only save thanks to Annie and her machine gun. Even if the Ixa'taka warrior wanted a fair fight Annie was not one to do so. Pulling her gun on Kikiora might of been a little dirty but Kimi was pleased for it. She had to remember that even if she had spent so long with Raven at the end of the day these where Black Pirates and she had to fight back. ''There coming around again!'' Kimi yelled down to Annie. She could see Koi was in no state to get back up and fight, in fact she wasn't sure if anything right now could wake her up. However it wasn't like the Misery was going to stop and let them get things sorted, it was a battle after all. ~ ''Charming.'' Razar said as he watched Annie though his scope as she flicked him off. He could of taken a few shots at her but with the distance combined with the movement of the two ships the odds of him hitting home was too slim for his liking. ~ ''Fire!'' Wellwood yelled as the White Raven was in his sights. On his word several cannons blasted from below deck of the Misery as cannon balls tore up the skies. They shot towards the White Raven as Wellwood grinned. ''This one should not take long to sink. Yet this feeling?'' While picturing the ship sinking into deep sky he saw only a strange red ship before his eyes. Shaking his head he put it down to Raven filling his head with words that he no longer cared for. Till his past caught up with him he was Wellwood. ~ ''Watch out!'' Kimi screamed as four cannon balls flew across the deck of the White Raven. The first flew at head height passing the ship while the one right behind it smashed into the deck itself, smashing against the wooden floor as it scrapped a long thin hole. The third and forth cannon balls flew just right of Kimi, smashing into the side of the ship. White pearl wood shattered and flew into the air as the cannon balls exploded close by. ''Is everyone ok!?'' Kimi waved her hands to clear the smoke around her. She was surprised at how close she was to death just moments ago. ''How dare they blow holes in my ship!'' A loud familiar voice shouted out. As the smoke cleared Raven could be seen standing on deck. In her hand was the end of a rope that she had used to climb up onto her ship. It had come lose during the battle and she had managed to get back up after a short chase with the White Raven on foot. The incident with the Misery had slowed it down just enough for her to get on. ''Kimi!'' Raven pointed up at the young Yafutoman girl. ''What are you doing!?'' She moved to one side to allow a barrel to roll past her, indicating that the ship was tilting to one side. ''No way!'' Kimi muttered as she turned to see where the cannon balls had hit. Her eyes widdened as she saw a sight that could lose them the battle and their lives. ''We lost the rudder!'' She turned to face Raven yet saw a far worse sight behinf her Captain. All she could do was point and stare. ''What!?'' Raven questioned as she turned only to see the Misery coming towards them. It looked like they where going for a head to head ram but at the last moment turned, avoiding going along side where the White Raven's cannons sat but so their own could face them. ''Take cover!'' Raven yelled as she dropped to the ground, covering her head with her hands. In a flash the sound of cannon fire rang out as several more blasts fired from the Misery. This time they blasted into the side of the White Raven but a few managed to smash up and out from the deck. Raven stood up to see the damage, turning to see that the Misery was now passing by. ''There going to come around the other side!'' Raven yelled. ''Get below deck and ready all cannons on the right side! Kimi try your best to get the ship up right!'' Raven planned on fireing first in an attempt to by more time, forcing the Misery to take defensice manervors. However that plan was about to be stopped in it's tracks. Just as the Misery was just done passing the White Raven several crew members jumped ship, landing on the deck. ''Get everyone on deck now!'' Raven yelled. ~ ''Bring her around, we will take the other side too!'' Wellwood cheered after blasting away at the side of the White Raven. ''It's time!'' Victor yelled as he picked up his axe and rushed across deck. Picking up speed he jumped as the two ships passed one another and landed on the deck of the White Raven. ''Time to party!'' ''Not before me!'' Kikiora chased after the viking. She followed but being lighter she landed ahead of Victor. ''What's the point? They are no match.'' Oshima was still resting up against the crates. If it wasn't for having the fight stopped the first time he knew he would of had Raven and so he saw no point in another fight that he would win. Up above the action Razar waited for the two ships to start moving away from one another. Pointing his sniper up he fired a shot, snapping a rope which swung down. Grabbing it at the last moment it swung outwards as he used it to flew across the gap high above the two ships. Just as planned he landed in the crows nest of the White Raven. ''Now then, where are you?'' Razar pointed his sniper down at the deck as he closed one eye, using the other to look down the scope for his prey. ~ ''Ooooh...pretty....'' Marisa said as he looked at the hammer. She stood facing it as the battle went on behind her. Even the explosions could not distract her now as her eyes became lost in the large Purple Moon Stone. She reached out with her metal claws and tried to scratch the hammer, yet she was not leaving any marks on it. A small smile crossed her face as she thought of her master holing the weapon. Yet something finally did take her attention from the hammer. ''What are you?'' She asked as she caught sight of something in the distance that seemed to her that it was moving towards them all. |

Annie didn't bother to heed Kimi's warning when the Misery fired a volley of cannonballs in their direction. As the heavy iron spheres hurtled towards the White Raven she was busy lighting up a cigar. "A tad off kilter there boys." She calmly informed Cularmati's gunners just as one of their shots zinged past her head, missing Annie by mere inches. ''Is everyone ok!?'' Kimi asked with concern. Annie gave her a thumbs-up to indicate that she was. ''How dare they blow holes in my ship!'' Raven barked as she clambered over the ship's railing. "Hey sis. What kept ya?" Annie smirked. She hadn't doubted for a moment that the Black Pirate would have returned. Yet she was alone. Annie wondered what had happened between Raven and the peg-legged pirate with the fancy hand-cannon but figured this wasn't the best time to butt in on the captain's private affairs. Suddenly the White Raven began to list heavily to one side. "This ain't good." Annie muttered when she realized that the Misery's gunners weren't so inept as she'd initially thought. One of their shots had managed to damage the ship's rudder, greatly decreasing the White Raven's maneuverability. Another round of cannon-fire was loosed from the Misery and the White Raven shuddered under the impact. This time Annie couldn't help but flinch as cannonballs tore into the ship's flanks. "We're a sittin' duck like this!" She yelled in frustration. "And I think our goose is about to be cooked!" She added upon seeing the Misery swinging around for another pass. ''Get below deck and ready all cannons on the right side!" Raven shouted an order. "I'm on it!" Annie called back. She started towards the stairwell leading down to the gunnery deck to take charge of the counterstrike herself. With any luck she'd be able to return the favor and cripple the Misery before Cularmati's crew shot any more holes in the White Raven. Annie had only taken a few steps down the stairs before Raven called her back to the deck. "What on Boot Hill is the.....oh flippin' @#$&! Big Mama's back and she brought her boyfriend!" She blurted upon witnessing Kikiora's return. With a flick of her shoulder Annie dropped her machine gun down into her waiting hand. "Guess I'll invite myself to the party." She was about to light one of the invaders up with it when the sight of a red dot inching up her torso brought her to a dead halt. "Sorry girls but my date for the evenin' just showed up." Annie snarled, glancing up to see Razar taking aim at her from the crow's nest. "Okay sweetie-pie....." She hissed at him. "Let's dance!" ~ Razar peered at Annie through the scope of his rifle. Beneath his veil a thin smile appeared upon his lips. "I'll settle this once and for all." He vowed silently as his finger tightened upon the trigger. With a clap of thunder the rifle released a heavy lead slug that traced an unerring line straight towards Annie's head. Razar didn't take his eyes off of her for a second. Time seemed to slow down as the bullet made its way towards its intended target. And in that endless span of a single second Razar would have sworn that he saw Annie wink at him. And then she vanished from his sights. "Damn you!" He cursed as his bullet tore into the White Raven's deck. "Why can't I hit you?" ~ Ballistics were Annie's business. When it came down to bullets whizzing through the air she just had a natural talent for being able to anticipate where they'd strike. This not only gave her impeccable aim but it helped Annie to stay out of the line of fire. Even so, Razar was fast on the draw and his shots were always dead center. When he took his first one at her Annie barely managed to step out of its path. The bullet passed her so closely in fact that it actually tore the cigar she was smoking in half. It's smoldering butt had barely struck the deck before Annie was on the move. She took several running steps and then dove for cover behind a large wooden crate filled with spools of rope. It had slid into the center of the deck when Kimi lost control of the White Raven, creating a perfect shield for Annie to hide behind. "Whoa! That spunk-monkey nearly had me that time." Annie chuckled nervously. And how could she not be nervous? The stakes had never been this high for as long as she could remember. It was becoming painfully clear with every encounter she had with the sniper that he just might be the one guy on Arcadia who could actually prove to be her equal. "I'll just have to knock him down a few pegs then." Annie mused to herself. "But first I gotta knock his @$$ down outta that nest up there." While Annie was formulating a strategy to accomplish this the sound of footsteps coming up the stairwell drew her attention. "Hey, what's going on up here?" One of the Regal Boys asked as he appeared on the deck. "Oh, hey Annie! There you are. What did you want us to ~" "Get down you friggin' idiot!" Annie shouted a warning. But it came a second too late. Three of the Regal Boys had already stepped out into the open. Another second passed, followed by the sound of a single shot being fired. And then all that could be heard on the White Raven's deck was someone screaming in pain. One of the Regal Boys fell to the deck, clutching his ankle and crying for help. Behind him, the third man in line quickly retreated back down the stairwell while, ahead of him, the first to arrive on deck scrambled for cover and joined Annie behind the cargo crate. The unfortunate fellow soon found himself alone, out in the open and bleeding badly from a bullet wound in his ankle. The deck beneath him was stained red and the air was filled with his pleas for help. "We need to help him!" The man next to Annie whined, fearing for the life of his friend. "I'm....I'm going for it!" In an impressive show of courage he prepared to make a dash to reach the wounded man but the bounty hunter grabbed him by the elbow and pulled him back down again. "He's going to die out there!" The Regal company employee argued. "No, you are if you go out there!" Annie countered. "This is one big trap and he's the bait!" The Regal Boy stared dumbly at her. Her words had obviously frightened him but he still didn't understand what was happening. With a roll of her eyes Annie explained it to him. "If that sniper had wanted your pal dead he'd have capped him right between the eyes. But he didn't, did he? He shot him in the leg, hurt him up real bad and made it so he can't get away. You on my vibe Chuck?" She asked, hoping she wasn't wasting her breath. "Nah, he's not gonna kill your buddy. Not while there are retards like you willin' to stick your neck out to help him. And you can be damn sure, the second you do that sniper's gonna drop you like a sack of crap." The former Regal Company employee nodded his head slowly as the diabolical genius of Razar's tactic sank in. "Yeah, but.....I mean, we can't just leave him out there." He persisted. "He could still bleed to death right? We gotta get him some help." Annie snorted in irritation. "Yeah, I know. I'm not such a hard-ass that I'd leave one of you sap-suckers swingin' in the wind like that." She grudgingly admitted. The Regal Boy smiled weakly in sudden hope. "Great! So what's the plan?" "SHADDAP! I'm thinkin' here!" Annie berated the man, causing him to flinch, as the gears in her head began to turn. She had to come up with some kind of strategy to rescue the wounded Regal Co. employee before he bled out. But at the same time she'd have to keep herself and the rest of the crew out of Razar's crosshairs. It was a tall order and the clock was ticking. The first thing Annie would need to do would be to get the sniper off of their backs. She mentally checked off the weapons she had available to do the job. Only her machine gun had enough effective firing range to do Razar any damage all the way up in the crow's nest. But she was in such an awkward position to fire at him that it wasn't even worth wasting the bullets. "I'll have to move in nice and close. Get in his blind spot and take him down." Annie decided. She had that part worked out already. But getting into the right spot before Razar took her down first was the problem. "What I need is a distraction of some sort or another." She mused to herself. "Something to get his beady little eyes off of me for a few seconds." Annie furrowed her brows in frustration. "Guess I could use you as a decoy." She muttered to the Regal employee sitting next to her. He looked at her nervously, uncertain of whether she was serious. But Annie was just screwing with him. Even she wasn't that cold-blooded. "Hmph, this ain't gonna be easy. He's a sharp one, I'll give him that." Annie admitted her respect for Razar's skills. "But still, he gives me the shivers, always eyein' me up through that scope of his. Probably chokin' his koketa right now." Suddenly that disturbing mental image was whisked out of Annie's mind as something she'd just said formed the cornerstone of a decent plan. "Hmm....hey, Snacky." Annie addressed the Regal employee. "Get ready to make a dash for your buddy. I gots me an idea." |

''Keep here together!'' Raven yelled up at Kimi as the White Raven started to turn in the wrong direction. She only had a second to inform the young girl as she did not want to take her eyes off of the three Black Pirates that had landed on her deck. Two of them stood for a moment in front of Raven while the third took up base in her ship's own crows nest. Before she could pick her own opposition the sniper took a shot at Annie who was only too happy to 'play' with him once more. Now looking at him Raven realized it was the same man who had challenged Annie the last time they where on the Misery. However they where now on her own ship and the Yafutoman man from before was no where in sight. Only a muscle bound Viking and savage looking Ixa'taken stood before her. ''You'll regret setting foot on my ship.'' Raven smirked, seeing that the either of them had a pistol on them she pulled out her own. However Raven knew she had no bullets right now and would need to reload, yet she knew one thing they did not know. That she was out of ammo. The two raised their weapons but kept their distance from Raven, not knowing she was bluffing. Slowly Raven moved her free hand towards her sword. She would need to act fast as she could not keep them at bay for long before one of them realized she could not fire on them. Yet that moment came sooner than she anticipated. ''Are you going to fire or what!?'' Viktor yelled as he pointed his harpoon hand at the Black Pirate. As he spoke Raven quickly pulled out her sword but as she did an unknown object flew past her and struck Viktor in the head. The object that turned out to be a book landed at his feet as they all looked up at where Kimi was standing at the helm of the ship. Her arm was out stretched with an empty hand and a look of guilt and regret on her face. ''You!'' Viktor yell up at Kimi as he swung his mighty axe in her direction. ''You die next!'' ''That leaves you and me!'' Kikiora grinned at Raven as Viktor bashed past Raven, almost knocking her over. He completely forgot about Raven and was now set on taking down the girl that hit him with a book. ~ ''I...I...'' Kimi started to mutter as Viktor marched up the steps towards her. She backed away from the wheel and reached out behind to pick up her scythe like weapon. She knew what she had done but she was only trying to help out Raven and did not consider the fact that the one of the two she hit would challenge her. Personally she did not aim and just tossed a book at random without thinking, and now here she was face to face with a huge Viking. Without warning or a word Viktor raised his axe as he stepped up On to the top deck and smashed it down towards Kimi. Missing her by a large margin but managed to smash into the wooden floor. More of a warning of things to come as he twisted his weapon out from the deck. This gave Kimi a chance to swing her scythe at him, the curved blade slashed the air and almost hit Viktor's face. The Viking pulled his head backwards with a look of surprise. He did not expect someone so small to even raise their hands to him. ''So you accept?'' He chuckled as he flung his axe over his shoulder and pointed his harpoon hand at her once more. ''Not like you'll give me a choice is it now!'' Kimi yelled back at him as she got her scythe ready for another swing. Yet Viktor did not attack right away. He was too busy seeing the funny side of things. In his eyes Kimi was no match for him. ~ ''So, just you and me is it?'' Raven tried to keep her attention on Kikiora without worrying too much about Kimi. ''No, it's just me!'' The Ixa'taken woman grinned as she reached into her pouch. A red glow came from her hand as she used her increm spell. Raven picked up on this and rushed her, blade swung out as it clashed against the anchor that Kikiora held. With no effort Kikiora pushed Raven back who almost tipped over trying to get her footing back. ''You think you're a match for me!?'' The woman swung the anchor up and then smashed it into the decking, sending wood flying into the air to which Raven had to take cover. ''Stop smashing my ship!'' Raven yelled out as she stood back up, pointing her blade at the woman. ''Or I'll smash you!'' Kikiora grinned as she swung her weapon once more into the deck. ''Doesn't matter, not much longer now!'' She pointed out across the sky. Raven took a glance in that direction to see that the Misery had while they where fighting turned around and was now heading for them. She knew there was no chance of Kimi getting the White Rave out of range in time with Viktor up there with her. Another glance but this time in the opposite direction she tried to see if Annie could get to the wheel but only saw that she was more pinned down than the two of them. ''Darn it!'' Raven yelled out to herself. ~ ''Drop it girl.'' Viktor said as he looked down at Kimi. ''No point dying before the fun really starts..'' The Viking turned his head, not worried about the small girl as he looked out at the Misery. ''Ship's going bye bye.'' Kimi's eyes widened as she saw the Misery in the distance heading for them. It's cannons where all out at the read but that was not what she was looking at. The bone like hands on the sides of the ship had now raised, to what reason was past her. All she knew was that she had to get to the wheel and move the ship to the best she could. However there was one problem standing in her way, one big problem. ~ ''Have you come to play with Marisa?'' The crazed girl kept on staring out across the skies at the odd looking object that was rapidly moving closer to the small island. It's speed was picking up and it seemed to be much bigger than she first thought. ''Yes, yes.'' She gave a nod as she spoke out loud. ''Come play with me...'' |
