Rhykim finished his meal and headed back to the docks. There he saw the girls and looked to them. "What's the plan?" he asked. He looked at the girls. He was still unimpressed by their tactics and presentation, however, he felt that if they were competent enough for combat, they'll pass his judgement. He looked back to the girls with impatience, "Well?" |

Kimi stood up and took out one of her cakes that she got from the store only moments ago. She walked over to Raven and looked out into the sky as the White Raven II sailed away from the Platform. ''So Remona, You said something about the Misery?'' She asked as she took a bite of her cake. ''Don't call me that, It's Raven now.'' The Black Pirate muttered as she turned the ship, setting a course across the front of the Platform. ''We had a run in with the Misery, that's why I was late getting here. Change of plan, we are going to the Dark Rift.'' ''The Dark Rift? What about getting the White Raven back?'' Kimi pulled out several books from her bag as she started to flick them open. ''Don't worry, I'll be getting my ship back. I just got to make sure I live and to do that I need to trade with Cularmati.'' Raven knew that she did not have long before that monster of a ship would be closing in on her and Annie. Kimi finally came across one of Raven's old diary that she was looking after. ''Dark Rift, you mean that ship your old captain once saw?'' Raven nodded as she walked to the edge of her ship and looked down at the small deck below. Resting her hands on the side she was ready to explain what was going on to her 'crew'. ''Right listen up, here is what...'' Raven raised an eyebrow at the sight of Annie on the deck alone. ''Did we not have a Valuan guy with us?'' She asked Annie as she turned to Kimi to make sure he was not up there with them. ''I know that we picked up some guy who could help us in a fight?'' ''Over there Raven!'' Kimi pointed back to where the Platform was and sure enough on deck was the valuan man, standing with his back to them as if he had not noticed the ship had gone. ''What's he doing!?'' Raven yelled as she rushed over to wheel, ready to turn the ship around. ''Captain..'' Kimi spoke up before Raven did such thing. ''Do we have time to go back now? The platform is also moving.'' Raven looked back and just as Kimi had said the Platform was indeed starting to move in the opposite direction to them. ''That Jack wastes no time.'' Raven smiled, knowing that the platform was now on course to the location of the White Raven's resting spot. ''We go on without him!'' Raven said as she sprung around and pointed at Kimi. ''Raise the colours!'' With that Kimi rushed over to the back of the ship and pulled on a white rope which sent a black flag high into the air. The white Raven on the flag blew in the wind. ''Onwards to the Dark Rift!'' Raven yelled as she took out the book she had got from the guild and tossed it into Kimi's hands. (OOC, The White Raven II is on it's way to the Dark Rift for the next part of this story and so this topic will close and continue in the Dark Rift section.) |

(The White Raven II has entered the sky between Mid-Ocean and Valua once more. Dark Myth has moved back over to this thread.) In what felt like no time at all the White Raven II had entered the skies between Valua and Mid Ocean once more. In the distance what looked like a silver speck of light could be nothing more than the Platform as Raven turned the small ship in it's direction. ''Not long now.'' Raven called down to Klaus. ''We will be making a quick stop soon at the Platform.'' ''They are mostly Regal Co employees and ship mechanics, but I'm sure they can fill you in one the years gone by.'' Kimi offered some advice to the older man. ''There are ships coming and going all the time, you can probably find one heading to Valua.'' She knew what he would find once he enters what was once his old home but had nothing more that she thought she could say that would make it any easier for him. Nothing else much compared to the rains when it came to destruction. ''Annie!'' Raven yelled out to the lower deck. ''How's that hammer doing? Think you could land it against Cularmati's face?'' She was joking of course but knew Annie would not mind taking such a risk if she had the strength to lift it in such a way. ''I heard once of a man who ran from the Misery.'' Kimi then spoke up. ''Well, more of a rumor around my home village. He managed to escape but was free for only a day. After that there was no trace of him or his family.'' Kimi looked nervous. Right now she had no connection with the Black pirate, unlike Raven and Annie. Klaus did not have any too, yet he had already made plans of his own once they where docked. ~ ''There she is! Yes! Maxwell if only you could see her!!'' Raven suddenly shouted out in joy. For a moment she was acting like a child who had been given far too much sugar as she started to jump up and down, finally pointing forwards. ''How I have missed you!'' ''Now way! Is that....?'' Kimi rushed to the side of the ship. They where coming up on the Platform yet the large metal Regal Co ship was not what caught her attention. There along side of it next to one of the large scale crain was an impressive large white ship. It's sails for the most part could be seen to of been patched up along with a few odd coloured parts of wood which have been used to patch up the holes in the side of the ship. ''The white Raven?'' Kimi muttered as she loked on at the large ex Valuan royal ship. The young Yafutoma Blue Rogue wannabe looked up at her captain. Even with her mask covering her eyes Kimi could tell there was a tear of joy for Raven. The White Raven was once a ship that belonged to a family in upper Valua. It was taken by the Tumbleweed and it's captain Maxwell who in turn handed it over to his first mate Raven, making her it's captain. Kimi knew all to well how much this ship meant to Raven. ''We're going in!'' Raven said as she lowered the White Raven II slowly to the docks. ~ ''It's ok men, It's just her.'' Jack said as he lowered a large wrench. The other mechanics dispersed from the docks as they had all come running with tools to take on the Black Pirates. ''You know you really shouldn't approach with your colours up like that.'' Jack pointed to the Black flag on Raven's ship. Lowering the flag never crossed Raven's mind as she only had one thing on it right now. her ship. ''You found it! I was right, it was still there!'' ''It wasn't easy but the gold covered it. In fact we even managed to patch her up for you.'' Jack smiled as he looked over his shoulder at his own handy work. ''Not every day I get to work on a wooden ship like that.'' Just then Raven's eyes narrowed as she spotted something she did not like. ''Where are mu cannons!?'' Jack folded his arms. ''I told you remember, we are not letting a Black pirate sail out of here armed.'' Raven gave Jack a long stare, but she knew he was right. She had no chance of these guys letting her go with her ship and cannons. ''Fine, well then I guess we are done.'' ''You have ten minutes, after that I don't want to see your kind on this ship or anywhere near it!'' Jack pointed at just Raven before walking away down the dock. As he turned his back Raven stuck her tongue out before turning to her 'crew.' ''Right then!'' The Black pirate smiled. ''Klaus isn't it? Your off now right? Well it was a pleasure meeting you and I hope you find what your looking for in Valua.'' ''Kimi!'' Raven stood next to the young girl and put one arm around her shoulders while pointing right at the White Raven II. ''You see that beautiful ship! I want you to dock the White Raven II on her deck.'' ''Right away Captain!'' Kimi gave a small salute before dashing off to the small ship. ''See you around Klaus!'' She called back as she climbed aboard. ''Annie!'' Raven walked over to her favorite gun crazed girl. ''As we talked about, Cularmati is going to be all like, Thanks for the hammer now go in peace.'' Raven mocked the Black pirate as she tried to act like him in a comical way. It was clear that just the sight of her old ship had put her in a very good mood. ''We don't have long but do you think we could gather some muscle around here?'' Raven was again serious as she spoke, jerking her thumb in the direction of one of the ship's many bars. ''Give or take ten minuets, meet me on that ship!'' Raven grinned, not pointing as it was not hard to spot the only wooden white ship around for miles. With that Raven started to walk off towards her ship. She had only walked a few feet from the others when she stopped and looked up at the ship. She then held her hand against the bandage that she always seemed to wear on her right arm, the scare only just showing from behind them. Edited by Daiohma, Mar 4 2013, 02:31 PM.

The journey back to the Platform had taken them all roughly the same amount of time as it had to reach the Dark Rift. But to Annie it had seemed like an eternity. Thanks to her escapades with Osma's stupid hammer she'd spent much of the voyage laid up with a backache that just wouldn't go away. Thankfully the White Raven II was not so large that its other occupants could not operate it without her assistance. Nor had they encountered any threats that required her expertise with its weapons. And so Annie had been free to mope around the ship's cabin, bemoaning her sore muscles and "guarding the hammer" as Raven had ordered. Annie was fairly certain this request had been a joke but she didn't find it particularly funny. In fact Annie had developed a severe dislike of the weapon during the course of their abysmally long voyage. While the others were occupied out on the deck with whatever sailing-related chores they'd been assigned she'd spent many hours babysitting that damned hammer, glaring hatefully into its lavender depths while whispering curses and threats to it. Annie had lost counts of how many promises she'd made to toss it overboard, use it as an anchor, smash open a shithouse with it and a myriad of other creative punishments for wounding her. And so when Raven's voice called down to her, asking after the hammer's well-being, she was understandably upset. "Yeah, yeah! Hammer's doin' just fine! Just like it was the last fifty-seven times you asked!" Annie grumbled out the door at Raven. "And I'd rather land it against your ass you no-good, busty so and so." She added under her breath. The Black Pirate seemed to enjoy teasing her about that damned hammer.... All the more reason for Annie to hate it. ~ Eventually they arrived back at the Platform. As the huge floating dock hove into view a ruckus broke out on the deck. Curious as to what was going on Annie hoisted herself painfully to her feet and stumbled outside to see what was going on. ''There she is! Yes! Maxwell if only you could see her!!'' Raven shouted jubilantly, her eyes sparkling behind her mask as she gazed at...whatever it was that she had seen. "No way! Is that...?" Kimi started in disbelief. The young Yafutoman girl rushed to the railing to get a better look at...whatever it was that she'd also seen. "What the bejoobies are you two broads gawking at out here?" Annie grumbled irritably. She stepped up next to Kimi to have a look for herself. There was a lot going on over on the Platform's deck. Men in purple uniforms rushed hither and yon on their appointed tasks while visitors meandered among them. The skies around the huge structure were cluttered with traffic too. Cargo ships jockeyed for position with civilian vessels coming and going about the Platform. And yet Annie didn't see anything in particular to get so excited over. ''The White Raven?'' Kimi finished her thought, giving Annie a clue as to what she was looking at. It was easy to find after that. Raven's long-lost ship was hard to miss, what with its bright white hull sharply contrasting its jet black sails. Plus the big white raven embroidered upon them was a dead giveaway. "Oh, that fancy boat there?" Annie nodded in understanding. "Yeah, it's pretty I reckon. But, come to think of it, I've seen one like it before." It took Annie a few seconds to recall that the ship she was thinking of was the very one she was riding aboard right now. "Hold up a sec! You tellin' me that thing is yours sis?" She blurted out at Raven the second the connection was made. "Well, don't that just beat all?" ~ Once the White Raven II was docked alongside the Platform its crew disembarked and separated. Raven went to talk business with the man Annie had met earlier; the one with the mechanical hand. She returned shortly and they all bid farewell to Klaus. "See ya around pappy. You look out for yourself, ya hear?" Annie said her goodbyes out loud. Then, in a conspiratorial whisper spoke so that only Klaus heard. "And if ya ever want to put a hit on that monster of yours, let me know and help ya friggin' kill it." Once Klaus had parted from their company Raven started barking orders. She instructed Kimi to move the WRII into the White Raven's hold. And then it was Annie's turn. ''As we talked about, Cularmati is going to be all like, Thanks for the hammer now go in peace.'' Raven giggled, making light of the dreaded pirate. But Annie was pretty sure she was still nervous about having to give him the news that he probably didn't want to hear. ''We don't have long but do you think we could gather some muscle around here?'' Raven suggested. Annie just shrugged. "I guess I can take a gander. But it didn't turn out too well the last time." ~ Now on her own Annie returned to the diner they'd eaten at earlier. As she retraced her steps from memory she spotted a familiar face standing by himself near the docks. It was the same man in the green uniform she'd hired earlier for this exact same assignment. "What's he doin' just standing there all spaced out like that for?" Annie wondered to herself. As she'd said the Valuan soldier in the ragged uniform was still standing in the exact same spot she'd remembered seeing him in last. Every so often his lips would move as if he were speaking to someone even though he was obviously by himself. "Uh...no, I don't think I want to ask him again." Annie snorted as she passed him by on her way back to the diner. ~ "I'm baaaaaack!" Annie crowed as she kicked the diner's doors open and sauntered inside. Its interior had been cleaned up in the wake of her last visit but she could see a fresh spot of plaster on the roof covering the hole she'd shot in it. Everyone in the room started in surprise and turned to look at her curiously. She didn't recognize any of them and they didn't know who she was either. But from the frightened looks on the faces of the waiters and how they all swiftly scurried back into the kitchen they obviously remembered her. "Okay, now then!" Annie called out, demanding the attention of everyone present. "Let's try this crap again!" Annie leapt atop one of the tables stepping on the plates of the off-duty workers who were occupying it. One, an older man with gray hair, opened his mouth to protest. But when Annie stomped down hard on the head of the second man, a younger fellow with a sloppy grin, for trying to look up her skirt, he quickly shut it again. "I'm looking for a few hooligans with sand in their crawls to crew our ship!" Annie announced to everyone. "I'd prefer that ya know your way around an ass-whippin' or at least be able to take one like a man!" Annie's hand disappeared into the waistband of her dress. The waiters who were cowering around the room tensed. Her hand slowly reemerged holding one of her revolvers. Knowing what was about to happen the waiters wisely hauled ass. "Anybody interested in makin' some scratch and 'cough' maybefightingsomepirate 'cough' stick around and I'll give you the short and skinny of it!" Annie yelled, mumbling past the bit about the pirates. And then her gun rose into the air. "And the rest of you candy-asses can GET THE HELL OUT!" The thunderous sound of Annie's pistol being fired sent nearly everyone in the diner racing for the doors. When only a few people remained she twirled the weapon around her finger and slid it back into her waistband. Then Annie peered closer at whoever was left. Picking one of them out entirely at random she pointed her finger right at them and spoke. "Yeah, so what about you?" She snorted. "You look like you're itchin' to raise a little hell." |

Even if wrestlers had become a little more widespread and popular in recent years, she thought with a small amount of amusement, it must still be something of an oddity to find one eating in a diner; not even fully removing their mask in order to enjoy their meal. Arcadia certainly saw stranger than the flash and flair of a professional wrestler's costume, however, so it was merely a passing fancy that spurred the curious glances cast her way by the other patrons. Mask carefully folded up to her nose, allowing her to shovel spoonfuls of a spicy meat stew into her unpainted lips. Lips that were surprisingly dainty, given her athletic physique and less than careful table manners. She was easily recognizable to anyone who fancied Yafutoman Wrestling enough to hold a casual knowledge of the sport, thanks to the distinct individuality in just about every wrestler's costume. Beyond just that, it was also fairly well known that The Indomitable Koi never seemed to wear anything but her wrestling outfit and had never been identified without her mask on. Something that frustrated the curious to no end. A few people thought this merely a method of rousing publicity, she knew, or a gesture of dedication to her profession. Of course, she gave an amused shake of her head, there were the more inane and insane rumors that floated around. From being disfigured to not actually wearing a mask at all, it was a favored pastime of gossipers to speculate on what secrets the fish-themed wrestler might hold. Such thoughts were hardly rare amongst fans of wrestling, as with anything else truth be told. Her personal favorite had to be the one that claimed she possessed a blessed visage and that to gaze upon her face would be to receive a boon of good fortune. She wasn't sure if she liked that one because it could very well be true, as she had often considered bribing anyone who might discover her secret double life, or if it would be misfortune that would befall such a person. She wouldn't harm them to keep a secret, by any means, but as both a merchant and a wrestler she knew how to build an intimidating front out of hot air and clever posturing. A loud bang cracked out through the diner and pulled her from her thoughts suddenly. A spoonful of food halfway into her mouth, a small dribble of thick gravy-like broth trickling down the side of her mouth, she watched as a scruffy yet well-dressed young woman strode in with as arrogant swagger as she had ever seen. An impressive feet considering her usual company, haughty merchants and nobles as well as boastful fellow wrestlers. Her light gray eyes hardened at the threat of potential trouble, the woman possibly intending to rob the diner and its patrons. In the ring or out of it, she could hardly allow such a craven abuse of innocent civilians. The staffs reaction seemed to support her suspicions, and she found herself calculating a means to interfere if she had to. The diner had a small dividing wall between the tables and the rest of the establishment, a feature she could use to her advantage. The swift kick to the face of a young man sitting at a table the dangerous seeming woman leapt onto served to solidify her resolve to act, preparing to show the loudmouthed troublemaker how to properly kick someone in the face. "I'm looking for a few hooligans with sand in their crawls to crew our ship! I'd prefer that ya know your way around an ass-whippin' or at least be able to take one like a man!" The declaration caused the wrestler to pause, mask pulled back down over her entire face and midway through rising from her seat. Understanding dawned and she couldn't help but give a chuckle at the young woman's idea of recruiting people. It actually reminded her a little bit of some of the more zealous managers out there. Her own was much like that when he got worked up, in fact. She winced reflexively as the deafening boom of the girl discharging a pistol scattered the patrons and staff alike, save for a few that seemed to be about as amused as herself or simply unfazed. That was going a bit too far, actually damaging property and causing panic like that, but what was done was done and the woman didn't seem to intend to do anything more after that. "Yeah, so what about you? You look like you're itchin' to raise a little hell." The woman exclaimed suddenly, complete with a point of her finger, at Koi. Underneath her mask, she couldn't help but crack a smile and raise an eyebrow. Despite the fact that she stood out like a sore thumb, she recognized that the girl hadn't really picked anyone in particular. That was a tactic overzealous managers and merchants alike used to hype people up. She had to admit it worked, as the would-be recruiters overabundance of, as she had once heard her manager crudely put it, “piss and vinegar” was starting to get her own blood boiling. Rising from her seat with an unrestrained laugh, the wrestler made a dramatic gesture of putting a hand to her chin. Despite the semi-sincerity implied in such a gesture, her mind was quick at work thinking about if it would in fact be possible for her to participate in whatever task the woman could be recruiting for as The Indomitable Koi. She would need to come up with a reasonable explanation for the absence of a certain merchant, but the multitude of easy excuses that sprang to mind assured her that would be a simple feat. “Well aren't you the fiery one!” She observed in a more relaxed version of the booming voice she used in the ring, an assertive tone that projected unwavering confidence and suited the twinkle in her eyes. While the physical aspect was certainly something she enjoyed, her passion about wrestling lied in, well, the passion and spirit of it. Immersing herself in the attitude in the odd occurrence like this was something of a personal indulgence that she took quite a bit of pleasure in. “What 'scratch' could you offer to any 'itch' of mine?” Edited by Jea The Pierate, Mar 19 2013, 01:37 AM.

''Did you miss me?'' Raven placed her hand against the side rail as she placed her foot onto the deck for the first time in many a year. From behind her mask images of crew members long gone rushed past her as her own voice could be heard inside her mind, yelling out orders to each and every one of the crew. Now standing on the deck of the White Raven she smiled, a true smile that had been waiting for a long time to come out. ''If only you could see her Maxwell.'' The words muttered across her lips as she turned to look out across her ship. Sure it was no longer as pure white as it once was, but for being in deep sky for as long at it was the ship did not seem too bad. A lot of the deck as well as the sides had been covered in new wood to cover up cannon holes along with a few of the windows too. Raven walked over to the opposite side of her ship and took a look down. Every cannon window had been closed, a sign that Jack was not kidding about disarming her ship. She just grinned knowing that if she was too in his position she wouldn't want someone who sails under Black colours to have their cannons at the ready when they leave. ''The colours!'' Raven snapped as she turned to face the main mast. There wrapped around it was an old tattered flag, blowing very slightly in the wind as Raven matched over and took a hold of it. Pulling on it the flag unwrapped from around the mast, only a few rips but other than that not too bad. With a grin on her face she started to pull on the rope that sent her flag high up to the tip of the mast where it caught the wind and started to blow. She raised her hand and started to wave as she herself caught sight of Kimi coming in on the White Raven, the smaller ship slowly descending into one of the holds. ''I'm going to need a bigger crew.'' Raven placed her hands against her hips as the hold closed after the White Raven II docked. ''But first, Cularmati.'' ~ ''There we go!'' Kimi said as the White Raven II came to a stop. She jumped down from the small ship and landed next to it. Looking up she patted the ship on it's hull and gave it a smile, ''Maybe now Raven has her ship back I can finally paint you blue!'' The young girl giggled to herself. She had longed to be a Blue Rouge but after a long series of events had ended up working under Raven, a Black Pirate. Yet Kimi knew Raven was not your typical Black Pirate, she at least had something that could be called a heart. Kimi started to hum an old Yufutoma tune to herself as she picked up her books and weapon, turning to make her way onto the deck she stopped and looked at the two doors that now faced her. ''Oh that's right!'' She placed her finger against her lips. ''I have never been on this ship before!'' She looked back and forth at the two doors, wondering which way to go. ''I'll pick you!'' Kimi swung her scythe like weapon down and pointed at the right hand door. She pushed it open to find a long corridor with what seemed to be a gold like wall paper down it's sides. There was dust on these golden walls that showed they would of once had many pictures hanging up, more than likely taken by Jack and Regal Co to compensate for retrieving the ship from Deep Sky. Seeing what would of once been a marvelous ship in her mind Kimi thought back to how Raven first got said ship. She quickly shook the thought away, knowing that as kind as Raven was to her she was still a Black Pirate and had taken many a life in her time. Since being with Kimi Raven has not done that since, or at least in front of her, yet Kimi knew how the original captain of this ship lost his life to her. Trying to stay positive she pushed open the door at the end of the hall which lead into a large room. ~ ''Where did that girl get too?'' Raven looked out from the side of the deck across the Platform, trying to catch sight of Annie and who ever she could find to give them a hand. ''I hope she finds someone strong!'' She told herself, ''Maybe a nice big strong guy, like Maxwell!'' Raven Grinned knowing that if that was the case she would tease that guy to no end, but the only one who she would ever let any where near her was indeed Maxwell. ''Maxwell, if this ship doesn't remind you...'' Raven then went into deep thought. That man, Wellwood, he was not the man she remembered. Granted he helped her out but from curiosity of a lost memory. ''He must know something is between us, he...'' 'Ahhhhh!!'' A loud scream suddenly snapped Raven out of her thoughts of the past. ''That's Kimi!'' Raven turned and dashed to the door that would lead down into the cargo hold. ~ Kimi caught her breath after being surprised. After entering the large room she came face to face with several men. Thanks to the room not being well lit she could not make out who they were but could see that they where holding weapons. In turn she had already got her scythe out and was now holding it inches away from the neck of the closest man, the others seemed too scared to move or do anything to help their friend or stop Kimi. ''Who are you people!?'' she asked, but got no answer.'' Edited by Daiohma, Mar 19 2013, 07:47 PM.

“What 'scratch' could you offer to any 'itch' of mine?” Koi's question caught Annie off guard. "Uh...well ah hah....yeah..." She stammered. Now that the issue was brought up she wasn't certain exactly what sort of compensation the masked woman would receive if she joined them. Did Raven have any money left to pay her with? Would they steal it from Cularmati? She wasn't sure. "There'll be pirates so there's bound to be some treasure lying around I'll wager." Annie answered after thinking about it for a moment. It seemed logical to her anyway. "Plus the boss lady'll likely pay ya a fair wage for signin' on with her crew." Annie stepped down off of the table to join her potential crewmate. One of the men seated there yelped in pain when she trod upon his hand. Whether this was intentional or an accident wasn't clear. Either way Annie didn't notice. Her attention was squarely on the mask Koi was wearing. "Say there missy. What's with that fancy mask of yours?" Annie asked curiously as she came to stand next to Koi's table. "You some kind of bandito or somethin'? Got a bounty on your head maybe?" Annie was no stranger to brawling but she had yet to learn about Yafutoman Purorasu. When she did the violent young bounty hunter would no doubt get a kick out of it. But for now Annie was still in the dark concerning Koi's line of work. She briefly considered sitting down and chewing the fat with Koi for a while but then remembered that they'd only been given ten minutes to leave the Platform. "Uh...sorry there Fish Cakes, but the Fuzz is hot on my six and I gotta bail now. If you're in, follow me and we'll hammer out the details on the flip-flop!" ~ Annie burst out of the diner just as abruptly as she'd arrived, bowling over a pair of off-duty workers on purple uniforms in her haste to leave the establishment. The addled young woman scarcely noticed them though. She had her eyes out to catch sight of any of the Platform's security forces that might or might not have been dispatched to harass her. For some reason Annie had it in her mind that if she, Raven and Kimi were still on the Platform after their ten-minute grace period had expired they'd all be arrested. Forcing them all to stay on board after asking them to leave ASAP didn't really make a whole lot of sense but, then again, Annie was not known for her good sense. "Clock's tickin' lady!" Annie called back to Koi, pausing just long enough to make sure the masked woman was following her. "Move it or lose it!" The last thing that Annie wanted to do was get locked up at a time like this. Because she knew who it was who would be coming to bail her out.... "Cularmati." Annie muttered to herself. "And he probably won't leave if they ask him nicely." ~ Annie reached the dock where the White Raven was moored with a couple of minutes to spare. She clambered up the gangplank and then called down to Koi. "Welp, this is it. C'mon aboard and I'll see if I can't hunt up the boss lady for ya!" Leaving Koi to hang out on the deck Annie disappeared into the bowels of the ship. She wasn't familiar with the layout but didn't think it'd be very hard to find Raven since there were only four of them onboard now. "Hey Raven! Short-stack! Where'd you to get off to now?" Annie yelled at the top of her lungs. Her voice sounded eerily hollow in the dark and deserted corridors of the ship so recently dredged from the depths of the sky. Annie paused for a moment and strained her ears to listen for a reply. She heard nothing for several seconds but just as she was about to call out again Annie detected the faint sound of voices coming from just around the corner. "Oh, there you guys are." Annie greeted Kimi and Raven as she joined them inside of the large room Kimi had found. "Found us a new crewmate. She's up on deck and WHO THE HELL ARE THESE GUYS?" Upon sighting the strangers in the room and noting from the reactions of the others that they probably weren't welcome here Annie raised her machine gun and began waving it around menacingly. "Alright! Make like Glacia and FREEZE!" |

The rough-mannered girl's small bout of awkward muttering before answering her question was a big hint, Koi suspected, to not being the type to think ahead. Light eyes focusing intently on the woman, she took the moment to take in her mannerisms. So far as she had seen, her rough and tumble attitude and appearance didn't seem to be disguising anything. She certainly didn't seem the type, failing to considered the answer to such a simple question prior to her recruiting attempts. A small twinkle of curiosity lit her gaze as she reminded herself that she, far more than most, knew that people could cast themselves in convincing roles. "There'll be pirates so there's bound to be some treasure lying around I'll wager. Plus the boss lady'll likely pay ya a fair wage for signin' on with her crew." Her potential crewmate explained after thinking for a moment, dropping down from the table. Koi quirked an eyebrow as she roughed up someones hand in the process with nary a blink. She certainly didn't have any qualms with stepping on others, quite literally it seemed. "Say there missy. What's with that fancy mask of yours? You some kind of bandito or somethin'? Got a bounty on your head maybe?" That question caught Koi somewhat by surprise, but she let out a hearty laugh and a shake of her head. “Hah! No, I am a practitioner of Yafutoman Purorasu! An art of physical prowess and the triumph of the spirit!” She thumped her fist into her palm for emphasis, then waved a hand in a dismissive gesture. “Although it has become more commonly known as Yafuto-” "Uh...sorry there Fish Cakes, but the Fuzz is hot on my six and I gotta bail now. If you're in, follow me and we'll hammer out the details on the flip-flop!" The woman cut Koi off suddenly, a sense of urgency suddenly taking up residence in her tone and demeanor as she rambled something before bolting out of the diner just as suddenly and violently as she had entered it. Koi's brow furrowed under he mask as she tried to puzzle out exactly what the strange woman had said. She was no stranger to all sorts of slang and jargon, but she could only barely figure out what she hoped was the jist. “Fish cakes, huh?” Koi repeatedly lightly in amusement, a small smirk on her masked face as she followed after. "Clock's tickin' lady! Move it or lose it!" A suggestion that was surprisingly more arduous than one might suspect. From the very moment she left the diner, the strange woman managed to leave a trail of minor chaos in her wake. That alone would not be particularly troublesome, the masked wrestler more than capable of hopping and weaving her way through, but she found herself frequently giving a steadying nudge to quite a few unbalanced people to spare them a trip to the ground. In short order, and what Koi had to assume was some form of record given the docks were not exactly nearby the diner, they arrived at what she assumed was the aforementioned boss lady's ship. It certainly was more impressive than many of the ships she had seen, if obviously having seen more than it's share of wear and tear during it's time sailing the skies. Though she had mostly spent her time around merchant ships, they often enlisted the aid of others for protection from air pirates. Something she had done often herself, if only for appearances sake. One thing she had learned was that pirates and even the creatures that lurked the skies were not used to those they preyed on being skilled wrestlers. She assumed even more so when said prey looked to be merely a merchant girl, but she had luckily not yet been forced to reveal her true abilities in such a situation. "Welp, this is it. C'mon aboard and I'll see if I can't hunt up the boss lady for ya!" Her guide had zipped up onto the ship while Koi was admiring it, calling after her before vanishing inside. Leisurely making her way aboard, she cast her gaze about. If this boss lady was being fetched, it was likely there would be some form of negotiations that would soon take place in order to strike a deal and so she was focused on getting as best an idea of this ships captain as she could. She was by no means as skilled at it as most, but she prided herself on being a decent judge of character and had a knack for knowing if something was being disguised. An insight she was well aware only came from personal experience. Leaning against the railing, propping her arms on the sides and letting her hands hang down lightly, she focused on the passage the hyperactive recruiter had vanished into. It was likely that her potential employer would emerge from there, and if she were the type to put on airs it was likely there would be a moment of clarity. It was something about doorways, Koi suspected. When one passed through them and were prepared to play a role, there was a notable shift in demeanor from one side to the other. In all truth, she had no need for money. Her work as a merchant and as a wrestler provided plenty, though she suspected she would have to act otherwise. Even so, her aim was not to negotiate a high rate but to judge the woman's character and see if she was someone worth working for. |

''Well? Who are you!?'' Kimi kept her distance in the darkened room but pushed her scythe out a little more to show the intruders that she was not messing around. The young Blue Rogue knew how much this old ship meant to her Captain and was not going to let it be taken over before she got a chance to sail it out from the port. In a way she was shocked that anyone who wanted to seal a ship could even walk around the Platform without security catching them. ''We..'' One man managed to open his mouth but only muttered a single word. It was as if these men where scared of Kimi, which would of been surprising but after all it was dark and the young girl did catch them by surprise. ''What's going on down here!'' The door to the cargo hold burst open as Raven entered. Within the time the door swung open then closed again behind her she had already taken out her pistol and had it aimed at the silhouetted men. Not the best shot in Arcadia but Raven knew how to shoot at random. ''It's her!'' A voice called out from behind the front of the group. Not a scared or worried voice but one that almost had a hint of excitement behind it. ''Start talking.'' Raven waved her pistol at the group. ''what you doing on my ..'' The door to the right then opened as a familiar face entered. "Oh, there you guys are." Annie greeted Raven and Kimi. "Found us a new crew mate. She's up on deck and WHO THE HELL ARE THESE GUYS?" She raised her machine gun which once again started the men to shake. "Alright! Make like Glacia and FREEZE!" While Annie was being Annie Raven took this opportunity to step back towards the door. She flicked a switch on the wall which being a custom old Valuan built ship activated the small Yellow Moon Stones which it used for it's lights. Much more efficient that open flames. In the blink of an eye the whole room was flooded in light. ''Oh?'' Kimi lowered her weapon and stood looking at the men in shock. ''You have go to be kidding me?'' Raven lowered her pistol to her side while she found her free hand against her face, hiding the look of embarrassment for the men. Standing there before the girls was a small hand full of Regal Co employees, and not the large guys who move most of the cargo around but the ones would would probably see pushing paper in the offices. ''Are you serious?'' Raven muttered to herself as she looked them all up and down. A few of them had eye patches on yet she doubted they had lost an eye. One looked to have a hook for a hand but his real hand could still be seen under his sleeve. ''Your Raven right?'' One of the men managed to ask. ''Yeah, she is the one I told you about.'' Another mentioned, having seen her on her last visit to the platform not that long ago. ''Start talking.'' Raven managed to look at them while holding back the fact she wanted to laugh at them all and maybe kick them under foot. ''Or she will start shooting!'' Raven nodded her head over at Annie. ''No! no no no.'' The one whom seemed to be in charge stepped forwards waving his hands at Annie while shaking his head as if to plead for his life. ''We mean you no harm, none at all. You see, well. Me and the lads here, how do I put this?'' He placed his hand against his head while thinking of the right words. ''Working here isn't all it's cracked up to be and well.'' ''So.'' Raven cut him off with a grin. ''you want to be pirates?'' She placed her pistol back into it's holder on her belt as she stood in a more relaxed way. Her hands against her hips as she now lowered her body a little to show off her assets more. ''I wonder why you chose my ship?;; She winked at them, which caused a few to look away with red faces. A reaction which only pleased the Black Pirate. As she expected the men just muttered away, not giving a reason. Yet she knew what their reason was. It wasn't the first time a group of men fell for her and she was going to use them to her advantage. ''What can you offer us if I make you my crew?'' Raven gave a quick smile over to Annie and Kimi. ''Oh well, in fact.'' The groups leader said as he stepped to one side, to which the whole group then moved. Behind them was a collection of cannons and crates of cannon balls while scattered on the ground was a small collection of weapons. ''One, Four, Seven...Seven Cannons? Well, that will do.'' Raven grinned as she counted the cannons that the Regal Co employees had managed to keep on her ship. ''Well boys, welcome to the White Raven!'' Raven winked then turned back to Kimi and Annie. ''Kimi! We are going to be setting sail any moment. Get the ship ready!'' Raven gave her orders. ''Miss Raven?'' One of the younger men spoke up. ''Do you not wish to know our names?'' ''Irrelevant!'' Raven snapped back without turning to face her new crew. ''So there is a new crew member waiting up top?'' Raven asked Annie having heard what she was originally going to say before she saw the men. ''A tough fighter right?'' Raven looked serious for a moment, ''Best we don't tell these guys where we are heading for now. We need everyone we have, Cularmati isn't going to let us just walk away without some kind of warning.'' ''Well boys, I must make my leave.'' Raven spun around to face her crew. ''What are we to do Captain!'' The crew saluted. ''Cannons! Why are they in the middle of the room? Get moving!'' Raven barked her orders, almost as if she had never lost the White Raven and everything was how it once was to her. ''But there heavy.'' One man said as the others all looked down and muttered between them about how hard it had been to get them back onto the ship in the first place. ''This beauty isn't heartless.'' Raven smiled at the men. ''I'll give you a little persuasion, her name is Annie.'' The Black Pirate turned and walked out of the cargo hold but not before giving Annie a wink and pat on the shoulder. ~ Kimi ran up on to the dock with a huge smile across her face. Not only had Raven just got a crew, even if they did not seem that useful right away, but she was about to help get the White Raven ready for the first time since it was sunk. The young Yafutoma girl rushed towards the first set of ropes and placed her scythe down as she tugged on them. One by one they released and the first sail dropped down, catching the wind! ''Wow....'' Kimi looked up at the black sail with joy in her eyes. Just then she remembered where it is they where about to sail to and soon her face was serious once more. Turning to head towards the next set of ropes something on deck caught her eye. Someone was standing by the side rail, and Kimi had no idea that they where expecting another crew member. she picked up her Scythe and slowly walked over. With each step she took her weapon lowered and her eyes became wider. ''Purorasu!'' Kimi yelled out as she pointed at the woman. ''That mask, them cloths! Your from Yafutoma too!'' Kimi was almost jumping for joy. It had been a while since she had seen someone from her home land. ''If I'm not mistaken your a Purorasu Wrestler?'' She had never seen it first hand but had heard of such fighting. ''The sails Kimi.'' Raven's hand fell against Kimi's shoulder and took her by surprise. ''Ah yes Captain!'' Kimi bowed then dashed off to see to the ship's sails. ''So,'' Raven turned her full attention to the Woman. ''Your the one Annie found to join my crew?'' She looked Koi up and down with a smile. ''That some kind of fighting outfit you got there?'' Raven's eyes stopped on Koi's mask. ''I see you too wear as mask, but I'm sure your reason is far from this same as mine.'' Raven took a few steps forwards and offered her hand. ''The names Raven Claw, Captain of this ship. The White Raven.'' ''I'll say this up front, I don't have much gold right now.'' She folder her arms across her chest while explaining. ''I hope that you understand from my position but I can't go into too much detail right now. We have an item onboard this ship that was requested to be found by us only to be returned to the one that requested it. In any situation a simple exchange for said item for gold would be in order, yet it is not that simple.'' Raven turned to walk towards the center of the deck, nodding her head for Koi to follow. ''I know for a fact that this man will cause us a little trouble, and this is where you would come in.'' Raven turned to look at Koi, her upper face covered by the black mask. ''As I said, of this moment I can not offer you much till our little exchange is done. You can see we are not the physically strong type.'' She nodded towards Kimi who was seeing to the last of the sails. ''We could do with all the help we can get, so what do you say?'' Raven smiled at Koi before turning to walk to wards the ships wheel on the upper deck. ''we will be setting of any moment, so now is your last change to back down.'' Just then Raven stopped as she turned her head to look behind her at Koi. ''Just keep one thing in mind. Not many can handle sailing under that.'' Her arm reached up as she pointed into the sky. At the very top of the main mast was the tattered Black Pirate flag blowing in the wind with Raven's personal colours, a White Raven. |

For a few tense seconds Annie's twitchy finger threatened to squeeze the trigger of her machine gun and mow down whoever it was who had been foolish enough to board Raven's ship uninvited. But when the lights were turned on and she saw who they were dealing with Annie relaxed visibly. "Oh, it's just you guys." She smirked, hefting her weapon onto her shoulder and backing off to let Raven do the talking. But the Regal Company employees did most of that, amongst themselves no less. ''Start talking.'' Raven finally broke up their pow-wow by siccing Annie on them. ''Or she will start shooting!'' Annie played her part by curling her lips into a sneer and drawing one finger across her throat. A part of her wanted the men to call Raven's bluff, mostly because she knew it wasn't a bluff and it had been ages since Annie had been able to cut loose. ''No! no no no.'' The obvious ringleader of the Regal men caved in to her demands a little too hastily for Annie's tastes. She'd really been looking forward to roughing them up a bit. Once negotiations between the Black Pirate and the Regal employees began in earnest Annie's short attention span reached its limit and she didn't hear much of what was being said. But her interest was recaptured once the deal was sealed with the acquisition of some new cannons for the White Raven. A moment later and Raven concluded her dealings, leaving the cannons and the new crewmen in Annie's care. She returned the pirate's sly wink and grinned mischievously at the former Regal employees. The sound of the room's door closing behind Raven and Kimi sounded like a gunshot in the tense silence that had fallen between them. Annie could tell by the nervous expressions the men wore on their faces that they knew they were about to catch hell. "Well now, let's get to the persuadin' shall we ladies?" Annie chuckled. ~ "If you slack-asses move any slower, I swear to the Moons, I'm going to cram your carcasses into those cannons and set them off!" Annie berated the crewmen that she'd been roped into supervising. At that particular moment the men had paired off and were laboring under the heavy weight of the cannons that were being born between them. Annie stood off to one side, observing the process, making threats and prodding whenever their pace slowed and generally being as unhelpful as possible. "Uh...but...*huff* they're really heavy!" One of the more outspoken men complained loudly. Annie rounded on the man angrily. "Well you candy-asses still managed to haul them all the way down here didn't ya?" And then a thought came to her; one that made her even madder. "Argh, you dumb-asses! Why didn't you just carry them to the gunnery deck and leave them there to start with?" The bone-headed move suddenly registered on the faces of most of the men and they groaned all the louder for not having thought of that beforehand. They couldn't palm their faces with their hands full of cannon but Annie was more than willing to do it for them. "Just....ugh, just keep moving and tote the damn cannons." Annie sighed irritably. ~ "That's a staircase." Another of the crewmen groused as their line halted at the top of the stairwell leading down to the gunnery deck. "And these things aren't getting any lighter." The same man who had complained about the cannons' weight earlier reiterated his previous statement. Annie looked from the stairwell to the exhausted men and then back to the stairs again. "Yeah? And?" She snapped back at them. "And we need a break before we tackle this." The first man exhaled, setting his end of the cannon down on the deck. The man behind him followed suit and so it went until all of the guns, as well as the men carrying them, were all sitting upon the floor. Only Annie was left standing. "Okay fine. I'll give you milk-toast mama's boys five minutes to nut up. But not a second more." The men were too tired to argue and merely accepted her generosity with grateful nods and weak salutes. ~ "Time's up! Now get your pansy-asses in gear!" Annie growled at the men who didn't so much as look up at her. Only one of them even seemed to be paying her any mind at all. And that was the guy who had decided to count the number of times Annie had said the word "asses" today. "You retards no speaky English?" Annie's voice rose in volume and pitch. "I said GET BACK TO WORK!" The men groaned and shifted their positions on the floor but none of them rose. "C'mon lady. We haven't finished resting. And what's the rush anyway?" The group's ringleader tried to stand up to Annie. "Why the rush he asks! Well, let me tell you Chet!" Annie's lips twisted into a smile that usually preceded and act of violence. "You milky-lickers have got about five seconds to get up and lift those cannons off the floor! Because in six seconds I'm going to start lifting my boot straight up your asses!" "Five." Whispered the man keeping score of Annie's profanity. The group's ringleader suspected that she was not only serious but quite eager to give them all a little sample of the corporal punishment they could likely expect to receive as Raven's new flunkies. "Alright, hold your dhabus." He grunted as he hoisted himself to his feet. "C'mon guys, let's get back to work." "Damn straight. This ain't no pleasure cruise." Annie crossed her arms over her chest. "No fuzzy slippers or breakfast in bed for you suck-asses. I'm gonna work the dog-slobber out of ya! Now get to steppin'!" "Six." The score-keeper muttered. ~ Once again the procession found itself standing at the top of the stairs, unwilling to descend into the bowels of the ship with their heavy burden. "Can't we....I don't know...just roll them down or something?" One of the men suggested. "I'll do you one better Chuck." Annie retorted. "How about I roll you and the rest of your purple monkey-suited chums down headfirst? And then we can all have ourselves a spot of tea and a nice circle-jerk down at the bottom!" The men were pretty sure that that last bit had been a joke but none of them doubted that Annie would throw one of them down a flight of steps just to make her point. "Look on the bright side guys." Their ringleader spoke up. "At least we've got gravity on our side." And so the former Regal employees began their laborious descent down the stairs, bearing the weight cannons they'd purloined. "Let's just hope we don't wind up with one of these heavy things on our sides instead. Man, we'd all be crushed of we dropped one of them." A collective gasp of alarm rose from amongst the men. Annie rolled her eyes. "Geez, how'd I get stuck baby-sitting this bunch of goofy-asses anyway?" She grumbled to herself in a voice just loud enough to be overheard by the person next to her. "Seven." The person next to her muttered. |
