Raven watched on as the workers and guards waited to see if one of them would make a move. Most of their attention was already on Muc as not only was he the most Black Pirate looking of the group but the smell said it all. They kept their attention on Raven and Annie, guessing that it was Audrey that shouted out about their being a Black Pirate on the ship. Annie was the one to make a move but it was one that surprised Raven. After all the time had had been around the girl she expected her to open fire and go nuts but no, this was not the case this time. She took out some kind of id card which on inspection by one of the guards turned out to be a bounty hunter id. Things where looking up for them it would seem, or so Raven thought. Muc had become the center of focus, Audrey was the innocent one and Annie has her id to get her off the hook. That was until they asked her what her business of being on the Platform was. "Uh....I'm here to....um...." Annie did not seem to have an answer right away. ''We saved Audrey, we saved Audrey...'' Raven kept repeating to herself hoping that in some way this would pass into Annie's mind. That did not happen, Annie was Annie and came out with what Raven expected in the first place. "I'm here to kick ass and take names!" The girl declared, causing the crew to become concerned. It seemed as if Audrey was their last hope. If not then Annie would have a hard time, but that would be nothing compared to what would happen to Raven as she was the one that still sailed under a flag of a Black pirate. even if she had not had a crew or ship in years now. "I am Audrey Relica, granddaughter of Lord Archibald Gilvern.'' The young girl finally spoke up. She explained how Raven and Annie had saved her from the Misery. The guards seemed to know of the girls name and one went off to find who Raven could only of guessed was the man in question that Audrey had mentioned. As they waited Raven could not help but stare at the Platform's central crane. Un like the many others that where used for ship maintanace and moving large crates this one was for holding entire ships. ''That will do, that will do just fine.'' Raven muttered to herself. Her plan of arriving at the Platform with a armed Regal Co ship with a crew of Pirates ready to take over the platform died the second the Misery attacked them. However looking at it now she was somewhat pleased her plan did not work out, the Platform was much larger than she had thought and the crew was bigger still. That and the amount of ships pulling in and out to pick up and drop off goods. There would of been no way that her plan would of worked, yet Raven was the type to always have a back up plan. She looked up while they waited as if she was looking for something behind the clouds. ''The Misery set me back, I guess she might even already be here.'' Raven said to herself. ~ ''Hey Jack! Jack?'' One of the crew members of the Platform called out as he walked around the repair bay of the Platform. A head popped out from under a large Valuan ship engine, ''Down here!'' The man answered. He was on his back under the engine and covered in oil. ''Seems like you have some news?'' Jack stood up and wiped his face with an old rag before adjusting his glasses. ''Two Black Pirates, Miss Oakshot and Audrey, on Deck.'' The man said in a hurry, ''There getting Lord Gilvern now.'' ''Audrey is back is she? Well His Lordship will be pleased.'' Jack put his tools away in his belt with his one good hand. ''I'll be there as soon as I can.'' Jack turned to check the engine that he had been working on was safe to leave as it was. Normally work comes before all else but he knew how much it meant for Audrey to return. Unlike the rest of the crew Jack wasn't a real crew member. He was asked to join up by the Platform's owner, Ronald Regal the first yet Jack did not want to be tied down to a job. Even if that job was something he was good at. No, Jack wanted to keep on helping other ship owners out all around Arcadia but agreed to use the Platform as his main base of operations, after all there was only so much the Scrapper could do on it's own. ''Black Pirates? Well She wouldn't of got them to come here by their own free will. Maybe Miss Oakshot persuaded them?'' Jack wondered as he made his way to greet the 'guests'. ~ ''Who's ship is that?'' One of the dock workers asked as he pointed out the small white ship at the end of the docks. ''Call that a ship?'' Another crew member stuck his nose up at the small ship. ''Looks like it could only hold three or four people tops.'' ''It belongs to a young Blue Rouge who stopped by for a few day's rest.'' Another man replied. He was clearly in charge of that section of the docks as the other workers did not question the ship any more and got back to work on moving wooden crates. ''Blue Rouge? Then why does it have a black flag?'' They asked themselves as they worked away. ~ ''Hey, your that Blue Rouge that's been staying here right?'' The Bar tender asked as the young girl sat herself down. She closed her eyes and nodded with a smile. ''So here on business or you hoping to meet someone?'' The larger man joked as he cleaned one of the glasses ready to take the girls order. ''Confidential.'' She said in a sweet and playful voice. ''It's a guy, I can tell.'' The Bar tender put the glass down, ''So what will it be?'' ''Fruit juice please sir.'' The girl asked as she reached for her purse. ''I'm sure she won't mind if I use some of these.'' She told herself as she looking at the gold coins inside. ~ "Audrey! Is it really you?" Came a voice across the deck. Raven looked up to see some old man who she took it was Audrey's grandfather. "It is you! Lower your weapons at once." He told the crew. Raven pointed her finger mockingly at the men waving it downwards as if she was telling them that they should of lowered them long ago. Right away he asked if the pirates had hurt her in which Raven just pointed at Muc while looking away as if she was the most innocent person around. He soon asked that Muc was taken away, which did not Bother Raven as she had heard what happens to Black Pirates who get caught buy the Regal Co. A quick trip to the Capital of Valua was the bonus prize for Muc. "You two please come with me." Archibald asked Raven and Annie. Audrey took his hand and followed. ''So far so good.'' Raven told herself as she once more eyed the large crane. ''This could work in my favor.'' She followed the old man, noticing that now she was somewhat cleared of being a danger the crew men had relaxed and allowed their eyes to explore Raven's body which only filled her with joy. Teasingly she winked as a few while gave a little wave to others. Raven soon found herself with Annie in front of the old man in a meeting room of sorts. "You two have brought back my Audrey to me and for that I am eternally grateful... but I would like for you two to explain yourselves first..." He asked them. Raven smirked, he had given her the chance she needed. ''My Name is Raven, Raven Claw.'' She waited to see if he had heard of her or not. ''Many years ago I sailed as a Black Pirate, I will not lie about this. Yet for the past few years I have been a treasure hunter. I have no ship of my own to call home or a loyal crew. I teamed up with Annie here for a little treasure hunt when we ran into Black Pirates!'' She put her arm around Annie to show just what good friends they where. Raven made sure to only say Black Pirates and not mention the Misery as already Archibald seemed to not believe in anything that he had not seen with his own eyes. ''Long story short we Saved Audrey here and escaped thanks to Annie's gun skills.'' She winked at the girl knowing she loved her guns. Raven waited for his response hoping that saving Audrey, which in a way she and Annie did do would land her some kind of reward. however there was only one thing Raven wanted and that Platform could get it for her as she found her eyes wondering towards the window that had a clear view of the cranes. |

Luckily for them all Audrey's declaration of who she was came quick on the heels of Annie's outburst. The guards accepted her explanation and sent for her grandfather whom Annie gathered was a high-ranking muckety-muck onboard the Platform. He soon arrived and a tearful reunion took place between him and his granddaughter. Muc was hauled off to jail and the other girls were asked to accompany Audrey and her grandfather somewhere more private. Annie followed them without putting up a fuss but the guards still seemed leery of her presence. After a short walk they all arrived at an office where they were to make themselves comfortable. "Not so fast miss." The guard captain halted Annie before she could enter. "I'm going to have to ask that you hand over all of your weapons first." It was probably just a standard precaution but he made it sound more like a threat than anything else. "Sure thing mack." Annie shrugged. Contrary to what the others probably thought about her she was not a total barbarian. As a bounty hunter Annie was used to this sort of rigmarole and knew it was part of the standard operating procedure she'd have to go through if she wanted to get paid. Or, in this case, rewarded for returning Audrey to her grand-pappy all safe and sound. Annie thrust her machine gun into the arms of the guard captain. "Here, hold this." She said as she began rummaging through her pockets. Another guard came forward, this one holding out a small box for her to deposit her contraband in. Annie laid her pistol into it first, then her two revolvers. Her knife followed along with the bag of bullets Raven had given her. Several loose rifle cartridges clattered in atop them. Finally she dropped a handful of grenades onto the towering stack of munitions. The guard captain gawked at the number of weapons Annie had been packing. "I think I need a bigger box." His subordinate muttered as he shuddered under their weight. ~ Once everyone was satisfied that Annie no longer posed a significant threat she and Raven were allowed into the presence of Archibald Gilvern, the Platform's chief accountant. He wasted no time in cutting to the chase. "You two have brought back my Audrey to me and for that I am eternally grateful... but I would like for you two to explain yourselves first..." Raven went first, briefly explaining their little misadventure thus far. She naturally omitted the part where they'd hijacked one of the ships that belonged to this very company and didn't mention wanting to hijack the Platform either. But then it came time for Annie to state her business... "I'm still curious to know how you got mixed up in all of this Miss Oakshot." The guard captain asked. He'd been standing watch next to the door until now. But he wasn't about to let a known troublemaker like Annie fly below his radar. Annie didn't seem to mind the request. In fact she seemed to have been expecting it. She reached into her pocket and produced another document, this one a folded piece of tattered parchment, and handed it to the guard. "I'm looking for these two jabronis. You seem 'em 'round these parts?" She asked flatly. The guard unfolded the parchment and took a look. It was an old wanted poster printed with the faces of two surly looking individuals. One if the men had a head of shaggy black hair and a square jaw. The other was bald with a thick beard hanging from his jowls. They shares similar features otherwise. "The Briggs Brothers eh?" The guard asked, reading the names printed just beneath their faces. "I can't say that I've ever heard of them but I'm fairly sure you won't find them on the Platform." "Is that so?" Annie snorted. "It is so." The guard shot back. "We run a tight ship here and don't allow any undesirable elements on board. You hear what I'm saying right?" "Yep! Loud and clear skipper!" Annie saluted him crisply. "You don't want no monkey business goin' down on your watch. I get ya." The guard nodded glumly. Even if she knew the score he was fairly certain Annie would cause some sort of trouble the moment she was out of his sight. Done with the guard Annie turned her attention to Archibald. "So, is there any kind of reward for rescuing Audrey?" She asked. "This sorta thing's kinda what I do for a livin' ya know?" |

Rhykim had the "Commitment and Fervor" dock with the Platform. It had been a long month, and he was looking forward to finally sitting down in public and enjoy food not from his cook. He informed the dockmaster of the repairs needed to the ship. The dockmaster accepted the repairs. Rhykim walked away and headed to the 'local' diner. He walked in and ordered a coffee and some breakfast. It was a good start to his day. |

Archibald nodded as he listened to the girl's explanation. "Ah so you were once pirates yourself, that accounts for your.... odd attire. Treasure hunting sure seems to be popular with young people these days... but it's dangerous as you have already seen." He gently placed a hand on Audrey's shoulder. "So it was just normal Black Pirate that you ran into, as I thought. My poor Audrey must have been traumatized into thinking it was some legendary ship that doesn't exist." He laughed with the tone of a dismissive parents and Audrey frowned and looked at the floor, feeling defeated. Her grandfather was not easily swayed and wasn't prone to flights of fancy; indeed he might not ever believe the truth. Audrey hung her head and spoke in a small voice, "Y-yeah... that must have been it..." Archibald smiled, "Well not that this is all settled, I think it is time for your compensation. you said you lacked a ship of your own? Well how does enough gold for a modest ship sound to you?" Without waiting for a reply he nodded to the guard captain. "Go fetch me a container with enough gold for a modest ship at today's going prices." The guard captain blinked then nodded, "At once mi'lord." With that he turned and left the room. Audrey looked up, "So I guess you will be going soon then?" After all the girls had been through it seemed strange to think about being in civilized society away from Annie and Raven, while abnormally sexy or violent, Audrey had nonetheless gotten used to their presence. Archibald smoothed out his beard. "Indeed they shall. Why don't you run along now and get washed up and changed into a new dress? You look as though you would appreciate that... and afterword I'm going to have to sent for a check-up, who knows what you might have caught out there." Audrey frowned a bit, "But Grandfather...-" Archibald raised a hand to stop her. "No buts. Say your goodbyes and be off." His words might seem a bit harsh but that wasn't his intent. Archibald was a serious man who did things logically, and little did he know the real circumstances around the girls. Audrey stood and walked up to Annie and Raven. "Goodbye Annie, goodbye Raven... thank you... for everything." She quickly hugged the two and after waiting for any reply quickly left the room. Archibald looked after her with a frown. "I do hope she is alright..." As Audrey walked down the hall away from the meeting room she passed the guard captain who was carrying a box. She said nothing to him but as they passed each other he could see small tears running down her cheeks. Even after everything that had happened, she considered Raven and Annie her friends, and she was going to miss them. The guard captain entered the room and Archibald waved him over to the two remaining girls. The guard opened the box to reveal the promised gold and handed it to them before going back to the door. It was obvious that the old man's definition of 'modest' varied from most people as the gold contained in the box was more than enough for most people. Archibald stood, "Well then I do hope that that is adequate. Once again thank you for returned my Audrey to me." He bowed and motioned to the door. |

Raven stood with Annie as they listened to the old man. She knew he was related to Audrey yet something about him seemed as is he was not the captain of the ship, the person Raven was after next. The Black Pirate wondered why he could take them without the captain seeing them first, it was not how she would run a ship. Then again the Platform wasn't a normal ship she thought to herself. As the conversation between them went on it seemed as if things where settleling down. The old man believed Raven's lies and was now talking about compensation for the two of them. ''Well how does enough gold for a modest ship sound to you?" Archibald said, giving no time for an answer as he called for a guard to fetch the reward. "So I guess you will be going soon then?" Audrey asked the two of them. Raven could tell that the girl seemed a little upset over it. Most likely she felt close to the two of them after they saved her from such a ship. However Raven knew a girl like her would be best off without a Black Pirate or gun crazed bounty hunter around. ''Indeed we will.'' Raven smiled back at her. It was not the first time she found herself in this same situation with an innocent girl. "Goodbye Annie, goodbye Raven... thank you... for everything." Audrey hugged the two of them. ''Sorry to tell you, but this won't be the last time you'll see me.'' Raven said softly as she hugged the girl. She had a habit of running into old faces, some she fondly remembers while others not so much. As Audrey went out from the room the guard entered to take her place. Right away Raven spotted the box in his hands which he opened to reveal more gold than Raven first thought. "Well then I do hope that that is adequate.'' He said as Raven took her half of the gold. ''Adequate? I can get my own ship with this!'' She smiled before seeing that the old man was motioning towards the door. ''Let's go Annie, we have things to take care off.'' Raven put her gold around her waist, pleased with the amount. ~ ''Audrey?'' Jack said as the young Valuan girl ran by him. She did not stop or even seem to notice him from the tears in her eyes. Jack did not have time to run after her, after all he was no good with cheering people up and so continued his on his way to Archibald's room. ''Ah, there you are!'' He said as he reached for the door only for it to be opened from the other side by Raven. ''I see Archibald has thanked you.'' He looked at the gold they had on them. ''Are you the captain of this ship?'' Raven got right to the point. ''No, I'm Jack, Jack Low.'' He explained. ''I'm the head Ship mechanic and It is my job to over look all mechanical work that goes on around here.'' He took out two cards from his pocket. ''You could say I'm in charge around here but all shipping and cargo is handled by Archibald.'' He motioned at the door behind them. ''Then of course their's the Captain, but only Captain by name. He sails this vassal.'' Jack handed both Raven and Annie the cards. ''What's this?'' Raven took the card and looked at it. But before she could work out what it was she was answered. ''This is your pass for today. If you are questioned just show this card to a member of staff or the crew. Usually I would of checked you over incase you where Black Pirates or something but saving Audrey clears you I guess.'' He took out a clip board and checked the first page. ''Can't be too careful, we already have one of our ships go missing.'' Raven grinned to herself wondering if that was the ship she had planned on using to get control of the Platform. ''Well I better run, I have a Valuan ship just dock for repairs and I'm still not done on the engine.'' With that the man ran off before they could question him about anything else. ''Well Annie I guess we best go and get a drink, something to eat, meet my contact...'' Raven casually said as she started to walk off with a smile. ~ Raven opened the door to the deck of the Platform, looking on she was amazed at the size of the ship. For a moment she wondered to herself is a standard Regal Co ship fitted with cannons would of worked in taking over this place. People where all over, most wearing the Regal uniform and moving things around while the large crains where at work stacking large creates. She could also spot people who where dressed in Valuan and Nasr clothing, even one or two in traditional Yafutoma clothing. ''It's like an island where people come to trade.'' Raven muttered as she walked over to a sign. Right at the top was what she was looking for, 'Dock' It said but she frowned as it pointed in two directions. ''Theres two docks!? Which would she be at?'' Raven wasn't even sure if her contact was here as they where delayed thanks to the Misery. ''First thing first Annie, I need a drink and some food.'' Raven said. ''care to join me?'' Raven looked around and in the distance spotted a building that looked like a bar of sorts. She walked over and as she got closer she could see some tables set up out side with a group of people having their mid day lunch. ''boys.'' Raven tipped her hat at them as she walked by, getting a few looks back she smiled. ~ Raven sat down at a small round table near the back of the bar and waited for Annie to join her. Her face was in the menu as she looked up to see if Annie was still with her. ''Well that went better than I had hopped.'' Raven said with a grin. ''I guess helping out a girl in need has it's advantage now and then.'' Raven looked serious for a moment. ''However we have less than three days now to find Osma and get him to fight Cularmati.'' Raven waited to see Annie's reaction but had a feeling like most people had not even heard of the guy. ''I'll fill you in on what I know.'' She put the menu down. ''Personally I don't know that much but My old Captain, well he is one of the few to last see his ship. It must of been over twenty years now since he saw it. He was just starting out as a Black Pirate and saw a ship like none other. He made sure to make a note of it in his diary which I have seen.'' Raven again picked up the menu and looked over the selection of drinks. ''Cularmati has that diary but the page about that ship is missing. Only Maxwell and I have ever seen that page. Now I don't know if he is alive or not but Cularmati seems to really want to fight him and is willing to let us go free if we find him.'' Raven looked up for a moment. She was in a safe place with no sign of danger yet she knew that come three days from now she would be wanted by probably the most terrifying pirate she could think off. ''He won't stop until he finds us so I figure we find Osma and let him take care of Cularmati, if he even exist.'' Just then the noise of someone pushing past others caught Raven's attention. ''Opps, sorry. My bad! Watch out!'' A hand moved in and placed a glass of juice on their table. ''Raven!'' A cheerful voice called out as she hugged the Black Pirate. The girl was clearly from Yafutoma but seemed to know Raven. Her outfit looked like it was once a blue kimono but now a pirate like outfit for the young girl. ''I was so worried about you!'' She helped herself to a chair between the two of them. ''I waited around out of sight but your ship never came! I got worried and docked here claiming I needed a place to stay and then I learn that the ship you took had been lost!'' The young girl then noticed Raven was not alone and turned her had towards Annie. ''Oh hi there! I'm Kimi, It's nice to meet you.'' Raven smiled at how cheerful Kimi was. ''This is Kimi, my contact. I'm sure she has our ship in safe hands.'' ''That it is and it is ready to go! A Blue rogue is always one step ahead.'' Kimi took a sip of her drink. Raven raised her hand to her mouth as if she was about to cough, ''Black Pirate.'' She covered up her words. ''No!'' Kimi pointed at Raven, her finger almost touching the end of her nose. ''I'm a Blue Rogue!'' She took her glass and finished her juice. Just then a waiter came by asking if they where ready to order. ''Can I take your orders ladies?'' He asked ''Sure, I'll have the guy I need to see about using the main crane.'' Raven looked up at him. ''That would be Mr. Low, you can find him on the docks if you ask around.'' ''Another juice for me please.'' Kimi said After taking the orders the waiter went off to get the drinks. ''So Annie, less than three days. You still with us or do you fancy taking on the Misery when it comes for you?'' The Black Pirate put her hand out and at the same time the young girl from yafutoma took out a small book and passed it to Raven. ''I know the location, Kimi has a ship. We just don't know if we will find him alive or not.'' Raven shot a glance over at Kimi. ''They have a guild here?'' ''I saw one on my way in.'' Kimi replied. ''We best read up on what legends there are around Osma first. Then set out as soon as I have done with this.'' She tapped the gold by her side. ''Annie, we could probably do with some help on this.'' Raven stood up ready to leave. ''I'm guessing you know how to pick them, someone who could help in a fight and not take up much room. After all the ship can only hold four people at most.'' She chuckled as she turned to Kimi. ''Meet me by the ship, I'll find it don't worry.'' Raven passed her a few gold coins for the drinks. ''Your plan to take this ship in order to find yours is not over is it?'' Kimi asked, knowing Raven always seemed to have a way around her own failed plans. Raven did not answer but just smiled as she went on her way. ''So Annie, your a Blue Rouge too?'' Kimi asked in a friendly way hoping she was not another Black Pirate. |

"Goodbye Annie, goodbye Raven... thank you... for everything." Audrey said her farewells, embracing both women before she left the room. "See ya kiddo. Don't go gettin' yourself kidnapped again." Annie returned with a playful swat to Audrey's rump. "I might not be around next time to haul your bacon out of the fire." Shortly after she'd left Archibald's office the two of them were also shown the door. The old man seemed like the pushy type and wanted them out of his hair as soon as possible. That was understandable. She and Raven looked like death on a toilet. Plus the old geezer didn't have much hair left anyway. ''Let's go Annie, we have things to take care off.'' Raven called to her as they made their way down the hall. "Yeah, just a sec." Annie replied. The guard from earlier was still loitering outside of Archibald's office and he had something that belonged to her. "C'mere Big Stuff." She smiled at him and motioned him over with a crook of her finger. The guard complied nervously and shuffled over, carrying her belongings. Annie snatched the box out of his hands and held it triumphantly over her head. "I got a box of guu~uuns! I gotta box of guuu~uuuns!" She sang playfully. Then here face turned serious and she shoved it back into his arms. "Always wanted to say that. Now then..." With deft hands Annie started pulling her arsenal out of the box and shoving them into her belt. She paused to inspect one of the revolvers. "A fingerprint? You been monkeying with my bang-bangs there buddy?" She glared suspiciously at the guard. "No, no ma'am! I have not." The guard answered in a voice tinged with fright. Sweat began to bead out on his forehead, as if he were expecting Annie to go ballistic on him at any second. "Uh huh. Riiiight." Annie muttered, stowing the pistol in her pocket. Her knife quickly followed along with the bag of bullets she'd gotten from Raven. "Wait a sec." Annie paused to heft the bag up and down while listening to the quiet clinking of its contents. "Four, five, six, seven....there's one missing!" She suddenly screamed at the guard. "Alright, what'd you do with it Mr. Grabby Hands?" "I swear to you I didn't take anything!" The guard bawled. "I'm just holding them for you!" "You been wheezing my nails?" She continued berating him. "You done 'jacked my load?" "Oh Moons please, don't shoot me!" The guard whined. Annie could tell he was on the verge of wetting his pants. "I'm just messin' with you kid." Annie relented, giving the guard a pat on the shoulder. She finished cleaning out the box of weapons and slid her machine gun off of the frightened fellows shoulder. "You do pretty work. Carry on!" Annie said, excusing herself. The guard let out an audible sigh of relief when she finally walked away to catch up with Raven. Now walking side-by-side Annie eyed Raven's box of gold greedily. "We're splittin' that, right sis?" She asked with a question that was more of a statement. ~ As they were making their way down the hall the two girls were met by a strange-looking man with a metal claw for a hand. He and Raven talked for a few moments but Annie wasn't paying attention. With childlike curiosity she circled the man, gazing intently at his prosthetic hand. When he went to hand Annie her visitors ID he found her crouching at his side and poking at the metal claw with the tip of her knife. "You catch this in the door or what?" She asked rudely. Then, seeing the awkward looks he was giving her she stood up and accepted the card. "What?" She asked innocently of Raven. ~ ''Well Annie I guess we best go and get a drink, something to eat, meet my contact...'' Raven suggested as they exited the building and stepped out onto the deck of the Platform. Raven seemed impressed by the variety of people who had come to do business. But Annie was scanning the crowd, hoping to catch sight of the Briggs Brothers loitering somewhere nearby. Even after what the guard captain had said she still on the lookout for trouble. Or perhaps looking to start some was a more accurate assessment. ''There are two docks!? Which would she be at?'' Raven's voice broke in on her search. ''First thing first Annie, I need a drink and some food. Care to join me?'' "Huh? Oh, yeah. I could use a hot cup o' joe about now." Annie answered. "Wait? She who? We meetin' up with Audrey for lunch or somethin'?" Raven had spotted a small cafe nearby and was already hurrying over to it. Annie shrugged and jogged to catch up to her. They went inside and took a seat at one of the tables. Raven looked over the menu while Annie picked up the napkin dispenser and used its reflective surface like a mirror to take a look at the people sitting at the table behind them. Being in a crowd of people like this always made her feel a little more paranoid than usual. ''Well that went better than I had hoped. I guess helping out a girl in need has it's advantage now and then.'' Raven was saying. ''However we have less than three days now to find Osma and get him to fight Cularmati.'' "Who in hell is Osma?" Annie arched an eyebrow at her in confusion. Raven explained to her that he was someone her old captain, that Wellwood guy, had seen him and that Cularmati had it in for the guy. Now they were supposed to find him and squeal on his location to the evil captain. But from the way Raven was talking it sounded like this Osma person was another huge badass who might have a shot at taking the big man out. "So that's the plan eh? Get this Osma guy to take out Culam....Culer....that pirate guy for you?" Annie figured, slipping over Cularmati's name. "Then you can sail off into the sunset with your peg-legged prince and live sappily ever after. Works for me. I got a hot date of my own waitin' back on that ship o' death too." She continued, clearly recalling her promised rematch with Razar. Suddenly there was a Yafutoman girl beside her. "What do?" Annie wondered. ''Raven!'' The girl squealed, hugging Raven's neck. ''I was so worried about you!'' Whoever she was she seemed to know the Black Pirate. ''Oh hi there! I'm Kimi, It's nice to meet you.'' She introduced herself to Annie. "Hey there Short Stack. How's it goin'?" Annie returned. They'd only known each other for about 20 seconds and Annie had already slapped a silly nickname on poor Kimi. While the two of them argued good-naturedly Annie flagged down a passing waitress. "Yo, Funny Pants! A little service here!" ''Can I take your orders ladies?'' The waiter asked with a plastered-on smile as soon as she bustled up to their table. ''Sure, I'll have the guy I need to see about using the main crane.'' Raven answered playfully. "That sounds expensive." Annie replied without missing a beat. "I'll just have the lunch special." As the waiter hurried off to fill their order Raven turned her attention to Annie. ''So Annie, less than three days. You still with us or do you fancy taking on the Misery when it comes for you?'' Now it was Annie's turn to be serious. "I ain't afraid of Cularwhatsit but I admit I'm a bit curious about this Osma guy so count me in." She answered. Then the smile returned to her face. "Plus I've been havin' a hoot ever since I hooked up with you. I'm not ready to leave this party just yet." ''I know the location, Kimi has a ship. We just don't know if we will find him alive or not.'' Raven began making plans just as Annie's food arrived. She eyed the plate containing some sort of mystery meat coated in a thick brown paste that may or may not have been gravy. Annie prodded at it with the tip of her fork and then cut off a chunk to take an experimental nibble on. Finding its flavor not entirely disgusting she began eating with a bit more gusto. ''We best read up on what legends there are around Osma first. Then set out as soon as I have done with this.'' Raven continued. Annie nearly choked on a mouthful of meat. "Whoa, hold on. This guy is so hardcore he's even got his own legend? Just what kind of monster are we going after?" She asked, wondering whether or not they'd traded Cularmati for an even badder badass. ''Annie, we could probably do with some help on this." Raven replied. Annie felt that what she'd said was probably an understatement. "I'm guessing you know how to pick them, someone who could help in a fight and not take up much room. After all the ship can only hold four people at most.'' "Right! Somebody small who can kick ass. Got it!" Annie agreed. And then Raven took off to tend to some other business, leaving Annie alone with the Yafutoman girl. ''So Annie, you're a Blue Rouge too?'' Kimi asked innocently. Annie quirked an eyebrow at her. "What? Hell no. Who told you that?" She snorted. "Nope, I'm a bounty hunter. But I've arrested a few Blue Rogues if it makes you feel any better." ~ While they were chatting Annie was surveying the room, taking stock of who was in it. There were a lot of the guys in those gaudy purple uniforms like the ones she'd seen on the cargo ship before. Plus a bunch of pansies who looked like tourists and merchants. Not many who were likely to be worth a damn in a fight. "One way to find out." Annie smirked as she drew her pistol. "Cover your ears Half Pint. It's time to separate the men from the boys." She told Kimi. Annie raised the pistol over her head and squeezed the trigger. The gunshot rang out loudly in the diner and its effects were immediate. Those closest to the door bolted like scared rabbits while everyone else dove under their tables. Only a few had remained calm and kept their seats. "Slim pickin's it seems." Annie muttered to herself. Then, in a louder voice, she addressed the room. "Alright you limp noodle sons o' bitches! I'm lookin' for one tough hombre whose not afraid to stare death in the eye and kick 'em in the nuts! Now if that's you and you're lookin' to make a little scratch, come and see me! The rest of you....GET THE @#$& OUT!" Annie leapt on top of a table and brandished her machine gun. Within a few seconds the room had cleared out except for a couple of people who fit the bill. "Well, which one of ya wants the job?" She asked, tapping her foot against the tabletop. "I ain't got all day so speak up dammit!" |

Rhykim looked up from his meal to the woman holding the pistol. He wasn't impressed by her antics. He may be an Air Pirate, but the whole idea of it still was something he wasn't accustomed to. He was still used to the formal, strict ranking caste of the former Valuan Armada. "What's the job? And if you're looking to shoot, maybe instead of shooting up, intentionally fire a few shots at people. That way you slim your pickings even more!" |

"What? Hell no. Who told you that?" Annie snorted as she replied to Kimi, going on to tell her that she had arrested her fair share of Blue Rogues in her day. ''I'm ever so sorry but I'm glad your not a Black Pirate like Raven.'' Kimi was pleased as Raven was the only Black pirate she knew off that was in a way kind. ''I have not been by Raven's side for long but sometimes she can pick the wrong people to side with and I'm the one who ends up having to find a way out of things.'' She noticed that while they talked Annie was checking out the other people in the room. ''I guess you and Raven get along, that's good. So do you think you can find some help in here?'' Kimi asked as she took a sip of her juice. "One way to find out." Annie smirked as she fired a shot from her pistol, once again calling Kiki Half Pint. ''Half pint? Oh no is that her name for me?'' Kimi wondered to herself as over half of the people in the room dropped their food and drinks while running for safety. Kimi had become used to things like this going from the trouble Raven normally gets herself into. The young girl from Yafutoma went back to her drink while Annie leapt on top of the table, showing her machine gun in order to show she meant business. "Well, which one of ya wants the job?" She started to tap her foot against the table. "What's the job?'' Kimi looked up from her drink to see that one of the people who did not run had become interested in the offer Annie had made. ''He looks Valuan.'' Kimi muttered, ''What do you say Annie? Raven put her trust in you.'' ~ Raven had only just stepped out from the bar and as soon as the door swung back closed there came the sound of gun fire. ''What a wonderful girl she is.'' Raven smirked, knowing that it could of been none other than Annie showing everyone else who was boss. ''Time to get to work then.'' Raven took out one of the sacks of gold, ''So tempting to keep it all but Annie sure did help me out.'' Just then the door to the bar burst open as people started running past Raven. ''She's crazy!'' A few of them shouted as they ran for their lives. Raven put her hand out and took a hold of a drink that one of the men was running with. ''I'll take that.'' She took a quick sip of the little that was in the mug then set it down on one of the out side tables. Raven noticed on the table was an ashtray with a half smoked cigar. ''That Annie...'' Raven shook her head as she reached for the cigar and placed it in her lips. The black pirate then took out a small sheet of paper that Kimi had passed her in the bar. ''This should do just fine.'' She looked at the sack of gold and grinned. A quick look around and she spotted a sign, ''Docks, nope. Bar, no. Ah here we go, Guild!'' The guild was only a short walk from the bar, and with the panic going on not many people where interested in Raven or wanting to stop for a chat. She pushed open the doors and was greeted by the guild's owner who was face deep in a book as he welcomed her. ''I'm looking for legends.'' Raven said as she looked at the wall of books. ''The far right miss, but please you can't have that in here.'' He pointed his finger at the cigar that was between her lips. Raven had almost forgot she picked it up. ''No problem.'' She took one last drag before flicking it out of the window. The guild owner just shook his head before going back to his own book. ''Let's see, O O O, where is O.'' Raven's eyes scanned the books for the O section but could not spot what she was after. ''Hey pal, any books on Osma?'' Raven said as he continued to look. ''Osma? Osma Dracoon? The Viking that killed a giant Dolthstra with one punch and then went on to kill a Obispo from the inside?'' The guild owner raised an eyebrow. ''You heard of him.'' Raven grinned back. ''Myths section.'' He went back to his book. ''That's what they say about the Misery.'' Raven muttered as she turned to face the myth section of the books. She had no trouble location what she was after and living up to her Black pirate routes the book soon disappeared from the self and she was on her way. ''Right, the docks.'' Raven said out loud as she stood outside the guild. She took her chance with the one that was closest to the bar and guild. On her way she tried to remember the name of the man who gave her the pass as he was the one she needed to see next. As she approached the dock she took a quick look around but could not spot her ship that Kimi had used to get there. What she did spot was a large work area and some people working on some kind of Valuan ship. Just then the man she wanted to see was spotted. ''Hey Joe!'' She called out, not getting a response from the man. ''Jay? Jack?'' ''Someone call?'' The man turned around as he used his mechanical hand to shade his eyes from the light. ''Oh it's you again, how can I help.'' Raven shoved the bag of gold into his hands. ''I need to use your crane!'' ''Slow down there, you can use a crane. However this is far too much gold for that. now where is your ship.'' Jack passed the bag back to Raven yet she did not take it. ''Not any crane.'' Raven turned around and pointed that the large main crane that was the first thing most people saw when approaching the Platform. ''Oh I see.'' Jack pulled open the bag to check the gold. ''This should cover it depending on what you need if for.'' ''I want my ship.'' Raven kept her eyes on the crane. ''Sunk?'' Jack asked but Raven did not reply. She was thinking about tat day, the day she lost her ship. Her captain was dead to her and she went for revenge on the one who killed him, yet in her blind rage it cost her not only her ship but her crew. How she survived is still a mystery to her as she reached and placed her left and on the scars on her right arm. Raven took out the same paper from before and handed it to Jack. ''Can you do it?'' Jack took the paper, a small map with a marked out area of where a ship had been lost. ''The Valuan border? Not far from here but it would mean changing the ship's route and that will cost you.'' Raven sighed as she reached down and placed her hand on the second bag of gold, tapping her fingers against it. The gold was not hers but Annie's, the girl who had helped her out. ''My ship..'' Raven spoke up, ''The White Raven.'' Jack stepped back in shock, ''The white Raven, that's your ship? Then that means your a black Pirate!'' ''A Black pirate without a ship or crew?'' Raven grinned, making Jack think that she had given up on being a pirate. ''If that's the case then why do you want your old ship back?'' Jack was interested to see just what Raven was up to. ''You know of the White Raven it would seem, so you must know the rumors.'' Raven tapped the bag of gold once more before moving her hands away from it. ''As it's captain I can tell you there all true.'' ''The gold?'' Jack asked, making sure he was thinking on the same lines as Raven. ''Raise my ship and all the gold on board is yours.'' Raven did not seem to hesitate in her offer. ''It will be property of the Regal Co and will be put to use in helping Valua.'' Jack may of not looked the part but he was determined to help Valua out than take the gold for himself. ''Deal, it will take a couple of days to reach the location and then we have to search for it.'' ''No problem, I have to take a little trip. However I expect to see it when I get back.'' Raven turned and walked away, making her way across the docks from where she had come. A huge smirk was on her face as she eyed the main crane from a far. ~ Raven made her way back to the sign post and outside of the bar where Kimi was waiting for her. ''We have a new crew member?'' Raven asked as she sat down to rest her feet. ''I think so, Miss Annie is just closing the deal I think.'' Kimi took the book from Raven and looked it over. ''Think he was real?'' Raven said as she put her head back and looked up at the sky. ''From what I know I do believe that he was real and could even be alive is the dates all match up, but I can't bring myself to believe most of what these books say about him.'' Kimi put the book away with the others she had on her. As soon as Annie and the Valuan man where with them Raven stood up and dropped the bag of gold onto the table before walking away. ''Will stop off at that store then Kimi will lead the way to our ship.'' Raven had no time to question Annie's choice in help. ~ Raven entered the store followed by Kimi who right away made her way to a small section with cakes. ''This one, and this one, oh and that one looks pretty.'' She started to pick out the ones she would be taking with her. Raven on the other hand stood and watched as the others looked around the store. She had only just got her hands on a large amount of gold and just like that it was all gone again. Yet she did not feel bad about it as she knew in a few days after all this Misery stuff had passed over she would be sailing away on her ship once more. While waiting Raven made her way over to the counter to see what was around. She picked up a bottle of wine but soon put it back down as the clerk eyed her. ''Just looking.'' Raven snapped at the woman as she picked up a fancy looking box of cigars. ''Raven!'' kimi's voice came from behind her, ''What have I told you, they are bad for you!'' The young girl started to wave her finger around as she shook her head. ''Sorry mum.'' Raven joked as she put the box back down on the counter. Kimi placed her cake selection on the counter along with some blank sheets of paper. As the clerk started to sum up her total Raven was no longer in her eye sight and quickly took out one of the cigars and placed it down between her chest out of sight. ''We're all done let's go!'' She said as she rushed out from the store. ''We're not all done!'' Kimi called out to her as she ran over to a shelf and picked up a rope that she placed on the counter. ''That's everything thank you so much.'' ''Such a kind girl, unlike that other one.'' The clerk said as she put the items into a bag for Kimi. ~ Raven was tapping her foot as Kimi and the others joined her outside the store. ''Lead the way Kimi.'' Raven said, knowing she must know which dock she came in at. ''This way everyone!'' Kimi lead the way. A short walk and they where at the dock. At the far end was a small white wooden ship with what looked like a golden beak on the front. It's sails where out at the sides of the ship and where black with white eyes painted on. However it was not flying any colours, for now. ''Alright, listen up you lot!'' Raven was once again in captain mode, getting ready for when she would be reunited with her ship. ''Everyone get on and don't get in my way.'' Raven made her way up the ship's steps and onto the top where she took a hold of the wheel. kimi followed her and sat down on the top step, taking out a small map ready to assist Raven. As soon as the others where on board Raven set sail, the small ship slowly moved away from the Platform. |

As the small ship left from the platform, a beautiful young noblewoman dressed in an expensive white dress made her way out to watch them leave. This woman was Audrey in the dress given to her by her grandfather. Audrey watched them leave and waved silently at them if they were to turn and look. Her tears had already dried as she had come to accept that this was where their paths split. She didn't know if she would ever see Annie and Raven alive again but deep down she hoped so, even if danger followed them she still considered them her friends. She continued to wave as a breeze rustled her dress and caught a few locks of her golden hair. If only for a moment she looked like an angel about to take flight. ((OOC - This marks Audrey's departure from SotP, its been fun and she will see you in the next thread. I will also be keeping track of SotP until its done because I'm curious about where it is going.)) |

Annie couldn't help but smile at Rhykim's response. "You got a real mean streak there pal." She said, resting her machine gun across her shoulder. ''What do you say Annie? Raven put her trust in you.'' Kimi asked as she appraised the Valuan. "I think this one will do just fine." Annie answered. Then, turning to Rhykim she continued. "Alright, you're in buster. Go and see the boss lady for all the particulars." With her lunch digesting in her stomach and a new addition to the crew found Annie headed towards the door. Most of the other patrons had already fled but a few were still loitering about. One of them, a short fellow wearing a long brown duster stepped out in front of her, bumping into her. "Oh, terribly sorry miss." He said, grabbing Annie by the hand and shaking it kindly before scurrying out of the door. "Oh no trouble." Annie peered down into the palm of her hand where a slip of paper had been left. She unfolded it carefully and read what was written there. "No problem at all." ~ The trio stood together in front of the sign post where they were to meet Raven later. "Hey Squirt. I've got to take care of something right quick like." Annie said to Kimi. "I'll meet you all back here in a little while." As she walked away from the two of them she unfolded the note she'd been handed and read it again. "Dock 13? Where is that?" She wondered to herself. ~ It didn't take Annie long to locate the dock that had been mentioned in the note. Berthed there was a small ship painted in a nondescript brown hue. It looked like an ordinary fishing boat to the casual observer but Annie knew that its mundane appearance was just a disguise. "Ah, there are you are. Welcome, welcome!" A cheerful voice called from somewhere behind her. Annie spun around to find the man with the brown duster walking casually up behind her. Her hand strayed towards the pistol at her waist but she relaxed when she saw who it was. "I got your love letter. Says you have something I might be interested in." Annie repeated what she'd read. She had a pretty good idea what that something might be and who this guy was. "Indeed. Come aboard and I'll show you my wares." The man answered, waving her to board the boat. Annie allowed herself to be ushered aboard without a fuss. If her hunch about this guy was right then she'd definitely want to do a little business with him. Annie's suspicions turned out to be on the money when the man led her belowdeck into what appeared to be a showroom of sorts. "When I saw you in the cafe I knew that you'd be interested in what I have to offer." He said, whipping a white sheet off of the tables that dominated the center of the room to reveal what they held. "Go ahead and take a look around." The man waved his hand over his wares. Annie's eyes widened at the sight of so many guns laid out before her. There were firearms of every shape and size lying atop the tables and yet more were being revealed as the man pulled down the covers that hung upon the many racks that encircled the room. With keen interest Annie reached out and hefted a large caliber pistol of Nasrean design. "So you're an arms merchant I'm guessin'." Annie commented. "Indeed. You may call me Mr. Brown if you like." The man answered. It was obviously an alias but Annie didn't think anything of it. Such precautions were wise when dealing in an illegal trade such as the buying and selling of contraband military goods like this. "So then, what can I interest you in today?" Brown asked, eager to make a deal. "Dunno. The boss lady hasn't paid me yet and I'm pretty well strapped already." Annie shrugged. She withdrew the pistol she'd stolen from the pirate in the Misery's mess hall earlier and held it up for display. "But if you'll take a trade-in I'm willing to part with this hog-leg." Mr. Brown stepped forward and examined the pistol. "Hmm, that's an older model that fetches a fine price with collectors. But it's not in the best shape. I'm afraid I can't offer you much for it." He sighed unhappily. "Oh well. Guess I'll have to catch you later then." Annie sighed, equally dejected. "I'll drop by again once I make some scratch." "Wait!" Brown cried as Annie turned to leave. She turned back to see that he was practically sweating with anxiety. "Well...you see, the truth is...I'm about to go belly-up here so there may not be a next time." He admitted, mopping at his brow with the back of his sleeve. "Business has all but fallen off since the end of the war and I'm in dire straits here. If I don't scare up some regular customers soon I'll..." "Darn shame too." Annie sighed as Brown trailed off hopelessly. "All these fine pieces goin' to waste. And here I am without a bent copper to buy a rusty bullet." Brown suddenly perked up. "But you said you'd be getting paid soon right?" He asked hopefully. Annie nodded. "Then how about this; I'll extend to you a line of credit on your first purchase and you pay me back later with reasonable interest?" Annie thought about it for a moment without actually thinking. All she cared about was buying a new gun or two. "Alright, that sounds reasonable. So what ya got for me then?" Brown smiled, eager to please. "Let me show you a few things." He answered as he glanced around at his wares for something expensive to sell Annie. Choosing one he lifted a heavy weapon from the table and offered it to her. "How about a blunderbuss? These are all the rage in Valua right now. Great for taking out multiple targets at close range." "Yeah but slow as @#$& to reload." Annie turned down the offer. Brown nodded and offered her another selection from his arsenal. "How about this Stalsmark Model 50?" He asked, holding up a huge revolver. "It's got stopping power aplenty and can be fired six times before you'd need to reload." "Nah, too big and kicks like a dhabu." Annie shook her head. "Besides, I'm already full up on revolvers." Brown thought for a moment then brightened as a flash of inspiration hit him. "Ah, I think I have the perfect weapon for you then." He said while searching the table for several seconds. Finally he spotted what he was looking for and retrieved it. It was easy for Annie to see how he'd missed it. "That's a derringer." She arched an eyebrow. "Those things are so dinky lookin' I never messed with them before." "Ah, but that's the point. It's small and easily concealed and yet chambers a regular sized cartridge." Brown explained, admiring the diminutive pistol. "It's perfect for close encounters or as a backup weapon." Annie looked it over then glanced at the pistol she was willing to trade. "I dunno. This one..." "Plus it holds TWO rounds. That's one more than the one you have." Brown persisted, sensing that he was about to close the deal. Annie finally relented and handed her pistol over to accept the derringer. "Alright, ya sold me. I'll take it!" She smiled, rubbing a finger across the small weapon's nickel finish. "Very good!" Brown said happily. "Now then. How are you set for ammunition?" ~ Annie returned to the signpost a short time later, this time carrying an olive green pouch across her shoulder. It was a free gift from Mr. Brown for opening an account with him. But for the items it contained she'd be owing him a fine IOU. In addition to the new derringer she was packing Annie had also stocked up on ammunition for all of her weapons. She'd even been able to replenish her stockpile of grenades and was now fully loaded for combat. Pretty soon Raven came to join them as well and together they followed Kimi to a general supply store to stock up on some other supplies. Raven doled out Annie's half of the reward money then but she'd already done her shopping so she was content to stand outside and wait for the others. Annie briefly considered returning to Mr. Brown's ship to pay off her tab but decided not to. It was better to wait on that since she might need the money later on. Annie took a few moments to count her cut of the loot and was satisfied with her earnings. She also drew her new derringer to admire it, equally happy with her recent purchase. Eventually the others came out of the store and headed to the dock where Raven's small ship was moored. "So...where's the rest of it?" Annie snorted as she pointed at the White Raven II. Seems her derringer wasn't the only small item around. At Raven's command Annie clambered aboard and tried to find a comfortable corner to sit in. Soon the pirate had launched her ship and they were once again under sail in search of yet another legendary pirate. As the White Raven II pulled away from the dock Annie glanced back, catching a glimpse of a familiar figure standing on the Platform's upper deck. She raised her hand to wave farewell to Audrey. "See ya around kid." Annie said even though she knew Audrey could not hear her. Annie commented. Now then. How are you set for ammunition?s command Annie clambered aboard and tried to find a comfortable corner to sit in. Soon the pirate had launched her ship and they were once again under sail in search of yet another legendary pirate.
