Crowds of people looked on at the huge ship as it docked at the port of Pirate island. The ship was huge with it's deck full of giant purple crates, each with the emblem of Regal co. People passing by could only wonder what cargo this particular Regal ship was carrying. It was a hot day, but even that would not stop Regal co. making their deliveries on time, however this was merely a brief stop for the ships as it's destination was far from here. Two men jumped down from the ship with their captain. The man was carrying a few personal bags with him, it was common on long journeys for the captains to switch around within the Regal corporation. The captain shook hands with the other two men who one was clearly the first mate. ''Take care Alex.'' The captain said to the first mate as he turned towards the inn, ''My vacation starts now!'' He waved good bye to the two men as the wind started to calm the days heat. ''Well I guess we just need to wait now.'' Alex stretched his arms, ''What is the new captain's name again Mick?'' Mick pulled a small scrap of paper from his pocket, ''err looks like Arnold, yes thats it, Captain Arnold.'' The two men waited around the ship as the other men started a check on the cargo. ''Been a long journey this one.'' Mick mentioned to Alex as he went to sit down on the ground. ''It's not over yet, we must make it back to Valua yet.'' Alex replied as he then went to check on the large crates. Mick called up to Alex as he made his way to the ship, ''I'll wait here for the new captain....and get some rest.'' Soon he was asleep across the ground, a prime example of Regal Co employees. ~ ''Another drink?'' The bar maid asked the tall man as he started to sway from side to side. ''Fill me up my dear!'' He answered as he almost went over the side of his chair. The bar maid filled his drink as she went to whisper into his ear, ''Your a captain right, from Regal Co?'' The man laughed then hiccuped, ''How..how can you tell?'' He tried to sit still. The maid gave a gentle giggle, ''Why your uniform silly.'' The man laughed out loud as he fell from his chair, ''I may, or think that, It could be I had too little to drink.'' ''You mean too much sir.'' The maid said back to him as she helped him to his feet. ''No..no, you call me Arnold, not sir, sir is soo.....where am I again?'' The man had clearly had far too much to drink. The maid helped him to his feet, ''Why don't we go someplace quite?'' She asked him as she helped him walk towards the back door of the bar. ~ Alex jumped down from the ship, ''All checks done!'' He shouted in Mick's ear. ''Gah!? Im awake!'' Mick shouted back in shock, ''How long have I been, I mean did it take to check the cargo?'' Alex crossed his arms, ''It took two hours.'' ''Thats about normal, so why do you look so angry?'' Mick asked in a worried voice. ''The captain has not yet turned up has he?'' Alex replied as he looked over the market hoping to catch sight of the bright purple uniform. The two men sat together on the ground watching people pass by. ''Im going to give this captain a good talking too if he turns up drunk!'' Alex shook his fist in the air. ~ ''Oh my head!?'' Arnold rubbed his head as he tried to figure out just were he was. He was face down in the back ally of the Bar, not sure what he was doing there or how he got there. ''I think that maid got me drunk, probably wanted my wallet!.'' He said to himself as he stood up. He then felt the chill of the air as it blew down the ally. He looked down in shock to realize that his uniform was gone! ''NOO!!!'' He shouted out at the top of his lungs as he ran back into the bar. ''Where is that maid!'' He asked the Bar tender who replied with, ''We don't have Bar maids.'' ~ Alex nudged Mick with his elbow as he stood up, ''Here he comes!'' He whispered as they both stood to attention. They spotted the purple uniform from a distance as the new Captain walked closer to them. For some reason the uniform looked like it had been modified to fit in a tight way. The hat seemed a little large for the man's head and cast a permanent shadow over his eyes. The captain walked right up to the two men and saluted, ''Im in command of this ship from now on, any questions?'' Alex was the first to reply ''Er no sir...Miss? Err, Your a wom..?'' The captain laughed as she made sure the two got a good look at her from a side view, ''Answers that question.'' Alex and Mick saluted back at their new captain before Mick had to ask a question of his own. ''Your name is Arnold right?'' The woman replied so fast it was if is she had already had a reply incase such question arose. ''Yes, Arnold is my family name, so you will call me Miss.Arnold!'' The two saluted once more, ''Ship is ready to go Miss.Arnold.'' They both said together. She turned her back to them and folded her arms, ''Good. now just one more thing before we set sail.'' She passed them a sheet of paper with a new course outlined. ''This is a faster route to Valua, the cargo needs to get there fast.'' The two looked at the map, ''But this takes us past all sorts of Pirate routes!?'' Mick asked. ''Yes but it is much faster and I have already sorted out some extra help.'' The two men saluted her and then made their way back to the ship to wait for the captain and this extra help. 'Miss.Arnold', as she was calling herself for now, quickly got together a few wooden crates from the dock and set them up like a table in front of the large ship. Placing a cover over the boxes she then sat behind the makeshift table and place a few leaflets down. 'Looking for adventure, need a temporary job with good pay? Join up now! Regal Co is looking for brave sailors at assist this shipment of goods as we may encounter dangerous pirates! Must be willing to follow orders from the captain no matter what they may be.' ''No matter what they may be.'' Her smile turned into a smirk as a few of the larger and brave looking men came over to have a look at the job offer. Edited by Daiohma, Sep 13 2011, 10:07 PM.

As the Big Chief of the Rotundra Clan Borga was no stranger to hardship. He'd seen his people through lean times before and faced many calamities with them in the past. And yet today seemed like the worst day of his life. In the grand scheme of things he and his crew had not suffered any substantial loss. But the responsibility for this latest dilemma weighed heavily upon him like a side of rancid beef. Rancid beef was a good analogy to describe the burden he carried, as it wasn't far from the truth. The more Borga thought about it, the worst he felt for his crew. It had been only a few short days ago that the refrigeration unit in the Fat Boy's hold had conked out, causing the load of freshly butchered meat they'd been hauling to start to turn. Not ones to let good food go to waste the Fat Boys (the crew, not the ship) had taken it upon themselves to eat the meat themselves before it went to the bad. But they had been a little too late. The meat had already begun to spoil. Nevertheless the Fat Boys had eaten it anyway. Borga shook his head at such foolhardiness. He'd been asleep at the time that all of this had taken place. And when he awoke the next morning, along with the rest of the day shift, he found every member of the night shift had been stricken with a serious case of food poisoning. With a hold full of rancid beef and half a crew of men puking their guts over the railings the Fat Boy (the ship this time) had limped into port at Sailor's Island. The healthy crewmen had been charged with cleaning out the hold while the sick ones were laid up in their bunks until they recovered. And then there was Borga.... Borga strolled along the docks of Sailor's Island, shaking the cobblestones under his feet with each thunderous step. He scanned the storefronts and inspected the other ships but, in truth, he had no real idea where he was going or what he planned to do once he got there. Right now Borga needed to come up with enough money to have the Fat Boy's refrigeration unit repaired. But with the load of meat he'd been transporting here to sell ruined the Big Chief had nothing to barter with. He'd have to come up with another way to earn the money. With this thought in mind Borga was pleasantly surprised when he over heard a group of nearby sailors talking about just the sort of opportunity he was interested in. “Yeah, I heard they were part of the Regal Company.” One of the men was saying. “That outfit pays top dollar to its employees.” A second one commented. “I don’t know. We’ve been at sky for a while.” A third added. “I don’t know about you but I could use a break.” “It’s only for a few days, a week at the most.” The first man answered. “We can handle that. Plus the pay would be worth the overtime.” “Well, yeah but…” The third began but was cut off by a booming voice from behind. “You men! Tell me where I can apply for this job!” Borga asked with obvious interest. Caught off guard by the appearance of the mass of humanity the three sailors could only point vaguely in the direction of the dock where the Regal Company ship was berthed. “Yes, I see. Thank you!” Borga saluted the men as he waddled off in the direction they’d indicated. ~ “S’cuse me. Comin’ through.” Borga apologized as he shouldered his way through the crowd that had gathered in front of ‘Miss Arnold’s’ table. Despite his size only a few of the would-be adventurers stepped aside to allow him to pass. Such insolence! Borga was more than twice the size of any of them. Was even the most basic of etiquette beyond the comprehension of these fellows? Actually it was since the Rotundra Clan’s beliefs applied only to them. In short, no one present was going to give Borga an inch of slack just because he was a fatty. Then again, by sheer virtue of his girth, a wiser man would have removed himself from Borga’s path. But, being Sailor’s Island, there were no shortage of roughnecks and ruffians to be found. A few of the men at the back of the group muttered obscenities as Borga crowded them but they refused to move. Borga tried a different tactic. Rather than move the men aside he simply waded into the crowd, pushing them forward at the same time. They didn’t take kindly to this and the people in front of them didn’t appreciate being jostled either. Several of the men turned and began yelling at Borga, shaking their fist in anger. “Hey tubby, back off before I bust your gut!” One man screamed. “Do that again and I’ll harpoon you like an archwhale!” Another yelled. “You smell like moldy cheese! Don’t touch me!” A third cried. “Wait your turn you fat sack of crap!” A fourth jeered. In the face of all the loud voices and angry glares Borga turned and slowly walked away. Several of the men laughed and pointed at him, still making crude jokes about his weight. But after walking only a short distance Borga halted and turned back to face them. The laughter died as Borga slapped his hands against his belly and bellowed a great war cry. “RO~TUN~DRAAAAAAA!” He howled before breaking into a full-on charge. His belly wobbled to and fro as Borga ran, picking up speed. As he drew too close for comfort most of the men gathered on the edges of the crowd broke away and ran for cover from the onrushing behemoth. But those at its center were trapped and couldn’t get out of the way in time. Borga slammed into the remaining group, bouncing them out of his path and sending them sprawling into the cloud of dust that rose in his wake. In the aftermath no one stood in Borga’s way. Anyone who had was either lying on the ground or afraid to wind up there themselves to challenge the Big Chief. Now standing at the head of the line Borga gazed down at ‘Miss Arnold’. “I’m interested in the job.” He said. “When can I start?” |

'Miss. Arnold' placed her head on her hand as she became bored from the people who wanted to sign up. Only a few seemed to fit what she was after, two large guys who only seemed to join up in hopes of getting 'close' to her. She did not mind, she knew she could use her looks to control simple minded men like them Anyways. She had a look across the crowd of people, sailors and dock workers who would probably be good on deck but not against pirates. She stood up and face the group of people, ''Well that will do for..''. Before she could finish she heard a great shout from the back of the crowd, “RO~TUN~DRAAAAAAA!” The captain sat back down and watched as men went flying into the air from the back of the crowd as someone large made his way to the front. ''This is more like it.'' She smirked to herself. Miss. Arnold found herself face to face with the large man as the others started backing away from him. “I’m interested in the job.” He told her, She raised her head to look at him, her eyes still in shadow. “When can I start?” Asked the large man. ''Well well you will do just fine.'' She smiled back at him, ''You can start right away.'' She stood up and waved her hand at the other people to let them know the positions had all been filled. ''The name is Miss. Arnold.'' She started to walk towards the ship, ''You will be paid the usual Regal pay.'' She then stopped and turned to the man. ''I expect additional help to do as command, no matter what.'' She then let out a little giggle, ''But don't worry, we are just a delivery ship.'' The captain then walked the large man to the ship, ''Your name, or what ever you wish me to call you.'' She waited for his reply before pointing out small metal container around a meter in length. ''I need this aboard the ship.'' ''Oi, you two!'' 'Arnold' then called out to the other two men. ''Get on the ship and wait!'' The two large men gave her a nod as they walked to the ship. ''I'll be back in a moment.'' She called out to Borga as she walked away from the ship. ~ 'Miss Arnold' Made her way down a side ally near the tavern, the dark back street was great for cover. She looked around to make sure no one had followed her. ''Raven!'' A whisper was called out. ''Shut it!'' She quickly replied, ''How is white raven!?'' The shadow did not move, ''You ship is fine, as long as I get half the pay now..'' The man was cut off as a bag of gold was tossed in his direction. ''You get the rest later, after I check my ship on my return.'' Raven snapped back at the man. If there was one thing she did not like it was a man she could not 'persuade' with her looks. Turning her back on the man she slowly walked away. The man started to shake the bag of gold around, struggling to open it. Raven spun around in a flash as if she knew, pulling out her pistol she let out a single shot that clipped the top of the bag only just missing the man's arm. She then continued to make her way back out of the ally. ~ The ship's new 'captain' stood on the deck and looked up at the large cargo ship. She noticed the two men she hired sitting around on top of one of the large purple cargo crates. ''It will do for now,'' She muttered to herself as Alex came down the ship's ramp. ''Ship is ready to go any time your ready captain.'' He Saluted to her as he passed a clipboard to her. ''Whats this?'' She asked as she took the clipboard from him. ''It, It's the ships cargo check list..'' Alex replied, a little confused as normally a captain would ask for it before they started any journey. He did not think much of it and went back aboard the ship. ''Interesting.'' She told herself as she looked over the list, ''This cargo could come in handy.'' She then put her hand into her pocket and pulled out a small tattered piece of paper. As she opened out the paper she smiled, then replaced it into her pocket. ''But nothing as important as this.'' 'Miss. Arnold' then made her way onto the ship. (Ship will be leaving Sailor's Island on my next post incase you need to do anything before hand.) Edited by Daiohma, Sep 17 2011, 03:38 PM.

"Okay, sounds good to me." Borga snorted as Miss Arnold told him what she expected of him. Being relatively new to the world outside of Glacia he didn't really find anything out of the ordinary about her cryptic order to do as commanded, no matter what. Borga just assumed that was how things normally operated. "Call me Borga." Borga introduced himself. He smiled a little at Miss Arnold's obvious appreciation of his good looks. Judging from the puny sizes of the other men he'd seen here today it was possible this was the first time she'd ever beheld a real man before. In turn Borga looked her up and down. It was a pity that Miss Arnold was so small. She seemed very friendly and was obviously a good judge of character to have hired him so quickly. Perhaps he could fatten her up a little with some good ol' fashion home cooking. ''I need this aboard the ship.'' Miss Arnold said, gesturing towards a metal box lying on the dock. Borga gave it little more than a glance before hefting the box onto his shoulder as if it weighed nothing. No consideration was given for its contents however. Upon being opened later anything fragile inside of it would likely be found broken after being manhandled in such a way. Borga carried the box onto the deck of the cargo ship and cast about, searching for the place where it belonged. Not finding a suitable spot to leave it he simply shrugged and carried it with him. ~ It didn't take long for Borga to locate the ship's dining room. His nostrils flared as he followed the scent of food down the cramped corridors. Borga's bulk made it difficult for him to walk but he managed as best he could. Unfortunately his bulk filled the corridors to the point where no one was able to pass him by. And so when Borga entered the ship's galley a handful of sailors were bulldozed in ahead of him. "Smells good! Is it time for lunch yet?" He called out to whoever was in the kitchen. When no one answered him Borga decided to invite himself in. He sat the metal box down on the floor and pushed his way through the door labeled "staff only". ~ "This just won't do." Borga sighed. A quick inspection of the kitchen had revealed that there wasn't nearly enough food on board to feed a respectable crew. At least that's what he thought. In truth there was plenty of provisions on hand. Or rather, there were for a normal crew. But Borga was accustomed to feeding men with much larger appetites. And so to him it seemed that the cargo ship was short on supplies. "I'd better tell whats-her-name that she needs to buy more food before we cast off." Borga decided as he went off in search of Miss Arnold. |

'Miss Arnold' gave the order for the ship to move out. The engines came to life as the huge cargo ship started to move out of the docks. ''Follow this, no questions!'' She shoved her map into the hands of the navigator. As he looked over the map his face saddened, '' Looks like the extra help will come in handy. The new route would indeed get them to Valua almost twice as fast, however it passed a number of well known places that pirate operated. The only good part of the route was that it would now take them past the Platform, ''Hey, we could stop of for a drink there!'' The sailors started to talk to each other as 'Arnold' exit the bridge. ''Now were are my extra hands!?'' She called out to herself as she made her way to the to deck. As she reached the deck right away she saw one of the men she had hired. He was a large man from Nasr, sitting on top of one of the large cargo crates resting. ''Bam bash, Nasr, pirate want to be.'' 'Arnold' called out. The man jumped to attention, ''Yes sir, well pirate is such a strong word.'' He climbed down to the deck and stood to attention, ''I promise I will be good on this ship, you have no need to worry.'' He saluted. ''Oh really?'' 'Miss Arnold' smirked, ''This way.'' He ordered him to follow her to the back of the ship where no one would hear them talk. ~ ''Understand?'' She asked Bam, the man nodded as he smiled, ''Then back to work now!'' 'Arnold' snapped at him. The man went on his way with a smile. ''Now where are the other two!?'' She looked around the top deck. ~ After a short while 'Miss Arnold' had finished having her little chat with the two men. ''Now remember, I can trust you two. Can't I!'' She asked the man. ''Oh yes, yes you can.'' He looked her up and down with a stupid grin on his face. ''Good, now get to work and wait for my sign.'' She ordered him out of the small storage room. The second he had gone she put her arms around her body, ''Like someone like you would ever have me, you fool.'' As she opened the door she thought to herself for a moment about the Large man, '' Borga I think he called himself.'' She said as she closed the door behind her. She took a moment to think about things, she did not know if telling him in advance was such a good idea, after all he did not seem to be a weak man who would do anything to please a woman if he thought he would get 'some'. No he was more likely the type to respect her, and so he would have to be told much closer to the time. As 'Arnold' walked around the deck two men bumped into her, it was Alex and Mick not watching what they were doing and more importantly not working. ''Get back to work you miserable..... I mean, you two should be working right?'' She asked, she almost let out her other side for a moment before remember what ship she was on. ''Sorry sir!'' They both said together. ''In fact we were looking for you.'' Alex added. ''It's about your new route, it shows to be more suicidal than we originally thought.'' 'Miss Arnold' was clearly getting annoyed, she would love nothing more right now than to make him walk the plank but for now she could not. ''I assure you it will be fine, I have taken things into account.'' She then smirked as she knew just how to keep them in order. ''You would not want to have to be reported to Mr. Regal for disobeying orders now do you?'' The two men looked shocked and rushed off back to work. ''Great! Now I'm hungry!'' She called out, ''who is the ships cook!?'' She then looked around for a moment, ''Borga, were is my box!?'' Edited by Daiohma, Sep 19 2011, 02:23 PM.

"Non non non! We have enough food for the voyage messieur." The cargo ship's resident cook tried desperately to explain to Borga while the obese Glacian rifled through the pantry. "Bah! This is barely enough for a single meal!" Borga countered. "And where's all the meat? All I can find are these metal things?" The cook, or chef as he preferred to be addressed, snatched one of the cans of rations out of Borga's beefy hand. "These are canned foodstuffs messieur." He sniffed indignantly. "And there are more than enough to go around." "Bah!" Borga repeated. It was a ridiculous situation to be certain. The chef was in charge of the kitchen and had full authority to have Borga thrown out. Authority yes, but not ability. He could do naught but stand helplessly by as the behemoth rooted around through his kitchen as if he owned the place. To Borga's mind, he did indeed own the place. Or at least he was in charge now that he had arrived. Borga was used to giving orders and cooking. He'd known nothing else during his life. The idea that this scrawny chef would be his superior didn't even cross his mind. That was, of course, if Borga were even assigned to work in the kitchen. That piece of business hadn't even been decided yet. "I'm going to talk to whats-her-name and get this all straightened out." Borga informed the chef. The Big Chief turned to go but found the way blocked by the smaller man. Instead of excusing himself and going around him Borga merely lifted the chef up by his shoulders and set him aside like a piece of cargo. "Good! Go! Adieu to you!" The chef was all too pleased to see Borga go. He scowled deeply as the large man squeezed his bulk through the door and left the dining area. "Mon dieu, what a mess." He complained upon seeing the state Borga had left the kitchen in. ~ ''Borga, were is my box!?'' Miss Arnold called out in a perturbed voice just as the man in question emerged onto the deck once again. "Oh, sorry 'bout that!" Borga answered as he wobbled up to her. "I guess I left it in the kitchen." That reminded Borga of why he'd come looking for her. "Hey, listen. I was just down there and I don't think we have enough food on board." He explained. "I think maybe we should buy some more before...." Gazing out over the ship's railing Borga could see Sailor's Island receding into the distance behind them. "Well I guess we could always go fishing." He sighed. "By the way, when is lunch served aboard this ship?" Borga asked. Talk of fish made him hungry. "If you want I can cook you something too." |

"I guess I left it in the kitchen." Borga told the captain. Her hands turned into fists by her side, ''The kitchen!?'' She replied, slowly calming herself. It was not that she was angry with him but the fact she had no idea where the kitchen was on this ship. Borga then realized at that moment that the ship had already set sail, he wanted to eat and asked if he should cook anything. ''Sure,'' 'Arnold' Replied, ''go to the kitchen, you are in charge of making me something to eat.'' She turned and walked away, ''I'll catch up with you soon.'' ~ 'Miss Arnold' made her way to the bridge of the ship, ''How are we doing?'' She asked the crew as she looked over the map. ''Fine sir!'' A group of them saluted. 'Arnold' sat in her chair and crossed her legs while resting her head against her hand, ''Oh how I wish my own crew could be as loyal'' She told herself. Looking over the small map she kept on her she smiled, ''Soon...''. After a short while she started to feel a little hungry, ''Time to eat.'' ~ Raven, or 'Arnold' as the crew knew her had made her way to the kitchen. ''Finally!'' She called out as she entered the main dinning room area. ''Stupid company style ship.'' She muttered to herself as she spotted her box on one of the tables near the kitchen. 'Arnold' sat down and slowly opened the lid of the box, just enough for her to get a quick look inside. The contents made her grin, ''Not the best, but they will do for this crew of mine.'' |

"Ah, okay then." Borga agreed and then made his way back to the kitchen. Miss Arnold didn't look like she could eat very much so finding enough food for her wouldn't be a problem. Now that he thought about it the other members of the crew were equally puny. Perhaps there was enough provisions on board to keep them fed after all. With that matter happily settled Borga entered the kitchen once again and began gathering ingredients. "Sacre bleu! What are you doing?!" The irate chef howled as his territory was invaded for the second time today. "Captain lady is hungry." Borga explained. "She said I was in charge of cooking." The chef's face turned as white as the flour Borga was now sifting into a bowl. His patience began to crack just like the shells of the eggs the Big Chief added to the mixture and began to stir. "She...put you in charge?" The chef gasped. "But....why? I am the head chef!" "Dunno. Captain lady said." Borga shrugged. He cast around for the cutlery and soon located a rack full of knives. Selecting the largest one he began carving up a slab of meat laid out on his cutting board. The chef watched in dumbstruck horror as Borga dipped the meat into the batter he'd mixed and then laid it out in a frying pan slick with cooking oil. "Mon dieu, and what are you cooking sir?" "Crispy fried steak with onions and mushrooms." Came Borga's reply. "We've got mushrooms right?" ~ The chef regarded Miss Arnold sceptically. She wasn't like any captain he'd ever served under during his employment with the Regal Company. And for her to bring along her own personal cook was even stranger. But it wasn't his place to question the eccentricities of his commanding officers. "Bonjour madame. Your dinner is served." He said in a charming voice as he laid out the silverware in front of Miss Arnold. "Bon appe'tit." He finished, stepping aside so Borga could serve her. Without any of the civility the chef had displayed Borga plopped down a heaping plate of sizzling meat trimmed with sautéed vegetables in front of her. "Here ya go. Eat up while it's hot." He suggested. Borga remained at Miss Arnold's side for a few moments, during which he gave his ponderous backside a good scratching. "You want anything else? Some booze or something sweet?" He asked finally. The chef, who had withdrawn to a respectable distance and was waiting patiently to attend to any of Miss Arnold's further needs, slapped his forehead in indignation. "Mon dieu, what a slovenly cook. How did he ever get this job?" The chef wondered. |

Raven took one look at the chef who had taken a few steps back and another look at Borga who stood over her. She thought to herself she had seen it all but here were two type of people she had yet to of had on one of her many crews. A stuck up guy who thinks he knows it all and a big guy with no manners yet makes some good looking food. She took a bite of the meat and smiled, it was indeed good. She looked up at the two, her eyes still covered from the shadow of her Regal co. hat. ''Very nice, thanks you.'' She mainly focused on Borga as it seemed he was the one to of cooked the food. ''I was not aware there was already a cook aboard, there for I hope you two don't mind working together...for now.'' She looked over at the chef, from what she could make out he was not someone who would go against his own company. ''He will not do,'' she said as she turned to Borga, ''The meal was indeed great, I thank you.'' With that she took her box and exit the room. ~ Back on the bridge 'Arnold' was sitting in her chair as Alex entered. He looked around for a moment, a little confused. ''Change of crew?'' He asked as he made his way to 'Arnold'. Many of the crew who worked on the bridge had changed position with lower ranked members of Regal co. ''Just lending a helping hand.'' 'Arnold' replied, ''What brings you here?'' Alex had almost forgot for a moment that the look out had spot a ship in the distance. ''Ah yes, we seem to be coming up to a ship, one that looks to be in trouble.'' Raven crossed her legs as she put her hands together, her fingers against her mouth as she smiled. ''Prepare the cannons!'' ''Cannons, sir?'' Alex asked, ''We are a cargo ship...'' Raven sat still for a second, almost in disbelief that a large cargo ship would not have any cannons. ''Is the ship alone?'' Alex nodded, ''the ship looks to of already been attacked, however we can not be sure.'' ''Fine, ready a search party.'' Raven ordered. As Alex exit the bridge the two men that were hire entered. ''Were here!'' The called out. ''Your all here it would seem.'' Raven called out, ''Soon it will be time!'' She looked over the bridge, it was now full of the low rank members who would take a chance on her if it would mean getting their hands on gold. Just the type of people she could trust to trust her. As she handed another part of the new route to the helmsman she exit the room, ''From now on no other crew members can enter here!'' She told the two hired hands. They saluted as she closed the door behind her. ''You think Arnold isn't her real name then?'' Bam asked Roger as he cracked his knuckles. ''Probably not, don't even think she works for Regal Co.'' He replied. The helmsman looked at the new part of the route, ''Hey, it might be passing a pirate route but It looks like we are heading for the Platform!'' ~ Raven made her way to the ships lookout, she smirked to herself as she now had a bridge full of guys willing to turn against the rest of the crew for her. Some were doing it as she promised as much gold as they could carry, but the thing that made her happy was the fact she knew most were doing it to please her. She looked over at the ship that they were coming up to, it was indeed in distress. Not that it bothered her, after all it was not like a Black Pirate had never seen a ship in trouble before. She jumped down from the lookout and leaned against one of the large creates as she swung her arms up and stretched her body. Raven felt good, it was only a matter of time before she could reveal her true self to the crew. |

"That bitch is crazy!" One of the pirates screamed as he ducked to avoid another volley of gunfire from the deck of the sinking ship. Just off to his right someone aboard one of the other lifeboats cried out as the incoming cannonball smashed the boat to splinters and dropped its occupants into Deep Sky. "She's going to kill us all at this rate!" A third pirate called out from somewhere amid the ever-dwindling number of lifeboats that were sailing away from their sinking mother-ship with all due haste. From its deck the sound of thunder rang out once again, causing the pirates to tremble in fear. A tiny dot on the horizon sped towards them, growing larger with each passing second, until it had resolved itself to be a cannonball. More screams were uttered as another lifeboat capsized and sank. "Man, that girl has wicked aim!" One of the surviving pirates gasped. "Yeah but the Mulligan is going down pretty fast now." Another remarked. "Hopefully she'll get to Deep Sky before she sends the rest of us there." ~ "YES!" Annie pumped her fist in the air as she scored another hit on the retreating pirates. "That's what you get for messing with me!" She screamed at them even though they couldn't possibly hear her. Truthfully the Black Pirates of the good ship Mulligan hadn't been messing with Annie at all. They'd been going about their own business, roaming the skies in search of another ship to plunder, when the hot-blooded, gun-toting bounty hunter had appeared from the bowels of their ship and began demanding that someone called the Briggs Brothers show themselves. Now pirates don't usually take kindly to stowaways, nor were any of them acquainted with anyone by the name of Briggs, but when Annie had produced her machine gun and started shooting the ship, and its crew, full of holes, they were understandably a little more irate than usual. That's when Annie started making them a little more dead than usual. And so the afternoon had passed with bullets flying, grenades exploding and pirates begging for mercy. Somewhere in all the confusion Annie somehow managed to single-handedly hijack the Mulligan. At least it had seemed that way when the Black Pirates stopped fighting and abandoned ship. Then again, the fact that the Mulligan was on fire and listing heavily to one side might have had a little to do with it too. Well, whatever. Annie didn't give a crap about that right now. It wasn't her ship after all. But the cannons lining the deck had her name written all over them. So she had begun firing at the fleeing pirates, intent on blowing them out of the sky for whatever transgression they'd committed against her. She couldn't remember what that transgression was right now but she didn't give a crap about that either. What was important was that she obliterate everyone and everything right now. Once that was done she'd try and remember the details. She'd forget to remember though. She usually did. ~ Eventually Annie ran out of cannonballs and a few of the pirates slipped away. She was pissed about that but there was nothing she could do about that now. The lifeboats had moved out of the range of her machine gun and her arm wasn't strong enough to lob a grenade that far. Plus the Mulligan was burning down around her ears and the clouds below were getting awfully close. "Hmm, what to do? What to do?" Annie sighed. She sat down atop a wooden barrel and rested her chin in her hands. All of the lifeboats were gone and she didn't have wings. "Maybe there's an island or something nearby." Annie decided. She stood up atop the barrel and peered around in search of any landmass large enough for her to land the Mulligan on top of. "Oh hey, that'll do!" She smiled upon sighting the approaching cargo ship. "YO! Over here!" She called out, waving her arms in the air to attract their attention, as if the sight of a sinking pirate ship on fire wasn't enough of do that. |
