Tsukiko followed the group deep into the forest, still not sure why they were there or what they were doing. She had lived a sheltered life in Yafutoma and therefor did not know much about what was going on in the outside world.

The way some of the girls looked at each other just seemed normal to the shrine maiden as she just thought to herself this was how people around this land acted.

As the group moved on she started to slow down behind the group, taking in the scenery and wild life. Suddenly a small bird landed next to her, which in turn she pulled out her note book started to make a quick sketch.

She quickly realized that she had gotten distracted and could only just see the back of the group up ahead. She ran to keep up with them.

This made her realize that her kimono was not the best thing to be wearing in a forest like this. she looked at what the other people were wearing which made her blush.
The people of Ixa 'taka did not seem to mind having almost half of their bodies on show.

Tsukiko lifted the bottom of her kimono up while she ran so she did not fall over.
She then also realized that her wooden sandals were too not the best thing for walking out here.

She looked to see just what the others had on their feet which to her surprise was nothing.
Tsukiko looked confused for a moment, ''What do they do when they go inside a home?'' She said to herself without noticing she said it out loud.

As the group moved on she kept finding herself falling behind, it was not every day she would get to see such a wonderful place.

“Ah.” Jel nodded, considering Nixie’s statement thoughtfully. So Valuan people then, and most likely pirates; not soldiers or sailors from that dark city, nor the dread iron ships. “I... guess we do.” She answered, nodding her head… though Nixie’s next statement caused Jel’s eyes to widen, and for a smile to cover her face. “Umm… if you’re sure... I’d be glad – very glad – to have you looking out for us, Nix.” Jel nodded again, more vigorously. “If the captain doesn’t mind? I’d have thought she’d want to use your eyes for scouting out… umm… whatever’s up ahead…”

~

The group advanced quietly with little in the way of chatter, following Kokryie, alert to the sounds of the cool forest about them. Birds Jel didn’t know or recognise squawked from a canopy far closer to the ground, and some unseen animal scattered through the bushes in a hurry to escape the party of intruders. She could hear the distant rattle and clatter of the King’s soldiers following in their footsteps, still some way behind, but Jel didn’t hear the returning scout until she appeared right at Kokyrie’s side.

She listened in with little in the way to add as her captain conversed with the scout, who bowed, and then led off with their group in tow. The thick forest gave away to thinner scrubland then that too fell aside for bare stone; and beyond that a gaping maw in the ground which led Jel’s eyes to briefly widen in surprise. It reminded her of their landing site in a way, all bare stone and angles; but she had expected that on the island’s flanks. Here, it made it seem as if the island itself were slowly breaking into two, like the first tear in a canvas sheet that would spread and spread until ripping.

Her gaze lingered upon the chasm for a good minute, but it couldn’t last; especially as they were now falling behind the rest of the entourage. “We’d better catch up with ‘kyrie…” Jel whispered, and scrabbled onward, catching up with the Captain again just as their group stepped back into the cover of the woodlands.

Half a day passed before the Ixa'takan war band reached signs of civilization on the island. Traveling at the vanguard Kokyrie noticed the ground was on a slow and gradual incline. By late afternoon they were traveling up a gentle slope dotted with scraggly trees and a particularly nasty breed of thorn bush.

By the time the war band reached the edge of the treeline most of the Ixa'ness sported shallow scratches and torn clothing. The men, encased in armor, had fared better but still bled from numerous cuts along their arms.

"Well at least we look all the more fearsome." Kokyrie muttered as she dabbed at a line of blood that traced a line of crimson down the length of her forearm. "Being all covered in blood and all."

Just then another scout approached her. "My Chieftain, we have spotted a small town just over the rise ahead." She reported with a bow.

"Ah, good. About damn time." Kokyrie said to herself. Then, in a louder voice she addressed the scout. "Lead the way. I want to see it for myself."

The scout bowed a second time and then loped off with Kokyrie following closely behind.

~

"Ow, ow, OW." Nixie whined. She was propped against the bough of a tree as she rubbed at the myriad of scratches and puncture marks that had been collecting upon her ankles during the miserable hike across the island.

"Jel, Tsuki. Um...do either of you have something for these?" Nixie pleaded, gesturing towards her injured feet. She knew it was a childish request but the young huntress wasn't a big fan of pain. Plus her friends were healers. This sort of thing was what they did.

"Well, if these scratches are the worst I get from this little adventure, I'll be lucky." Nixie continued, making idle banter with Jel'din and Tsukiko. "But yeah, if there's any booty to be made from this I think I'm going to invest in a pair of shoes."

As the three girls stood talking the same scout from earlier approached them. "The War Chieftain sent me to fetch you." She stated flatly, indicating Nixie with a wave of her hand. "Follow me." She ordered and then stalked off, not even waiting to see if Nixie was behind her.

"Hmph. What's her problem?" Nixie fumed. She glanced at Jel'din and Tsukiko. "I guess I have to go see what Kyrie wants. You can come with me if you'd like."

~

Nixie found Kokyrie lying on her stomach at the top of the rise, peering out over the distance. On this part of the island the terrain rose higher and then dropped off suddenly. Beyond where Kokyrie was laying there was a steep slope that dropped off into the sky.

The land hooked off to her left, forming a half-moon around a ramshackle set of docks that had been hastily erected to accommodate the island's inhabitants. Beyond the docks was a shanty town of wooden shacks with tents and lean-to's erected between them. A pall of smoke hung above the town.

"Hey Kyrie, what's up?" Nixie asked as she sat down beside her on the hilltop.

"You will address her as 'My Chieftain'." The scout snarled from behind her.

Nixie turned to glare at her, a nasty comment on the tip of her tongue. But Kokyrie's stern voice ended the confrontation before it could begin. "That's enough." She said without looking up at either of the girls. Then, glancing over at the scout she added; "You're dismissed."

The scout bowed in respect and turned to leave, giving Nixie a dirty look before she departed. Nixie shook her head and sighed. "Like I was saying, what did you need me for?" She asked.

"Take a look at that." Kokyrie gestured towards the docks and the ships that had berthed there. "See anyone we know?"

Nixie's eyes were immediately drawn to one ship in particular. She grimaced at the sight of its broad deck with its faded yellow paint job and the large crane that stood at the bow. "Ugh, don't tell me that old geezer is involved in this." Nixie grumbled in disgust.

"Yep, that's the Kingfish all right." Kokyrie returned. "Looks like Sturges is down there somewhere. That complicates things a little."

Nixie nodded at her captain's assessment. "Good thing we brought those Nasr ships then."

"Yeah, hopefully they'll be enough to seal the deal. But do me a favor Nix." Kokyrie continued. "I trust your eyes more than anyone else's. Can you recognize any of those other ships? I can't quite make them out from here."

"Sure." Nixie agreed. None of the other ships stood out quite as much as the Kingfish did. At a distance they looked the same so Nixie focused on their flags instead. "Hmm....A skull & hammer, a winged anchor and.....ugh, what the hell is that?" She described the standards that she could see. "There's one with a dead fish....I think that's a fish. Do any of those ring any bells Kyrie?"

Kokyrie shook her head. "No, they're probably all small fries. North Ocean is full of them." She answered. "They're either part of the operation down there or belong to Sturges' flotilla."

"So what do we do now?" Nixie asked curiously. "Run in with guns blazing?"

Kokyrie glanced up at her with a wry grin on her face. "I'm sure I'll think of something before we get there."

Tsukiko took a close look at Nixie's injured feet,
''Let me see.'' she said to herself out loud.

"Well, if these scratches are the worst I get from this little adventure, I'll be lucky." Nixie went on.
Tsukiko just realized she had not been talking much to anyone as she had been taken in by the beautiful surroundings.

The shrine maiden took a hold of her silver Moon stone necklace with her right hand as she placed her left hand just inches from Nixie's feet.
''Im have never used my magic on humans before...'' She blushed as she watched a small bird fly by.

Her necklace shone with the light of the silver moon,
''Curia'' She said in her soft voice, hoping that it would do Nixie's feet good.

Nixie then started to talk about finding booty on their travels.
Tsukiko blushed bright red as she turned away for a moment, making a quick note in her book.

Just then as Nixie was talking she mentioned finding some shoes.
That was when Tsukiko revealed a second pair of shoes that she had packed for an emergency.

''You could use these if you so wish?'' Tsukiko held the 'shoes' out with one hand as she lifted her kimono ever so slightly to show that she was wearing the same.
''I have the same, hehe.''

The shoes were traditional Yafutoma clogs, wooden and raised from the ground by a few center meters by two blocks of wood.
Tsukiko was not sure if they were any good to Nixie, but she was happy to help if she could.

~

Nixie told the two that they could follow her, were too was a little bit of a mystery to Tsukiko.
They soon met up with Kokyrie who was lying down.

The two started talking which lost Tsukiko almost right away, that was until she thought they mention something about flags on ships.
First thing to enter her head was pirates, the ones from stories her sisters had told her.

''Pirates?'' She asked nervously to make sure, hoping she was wrong.

Jel'din gave a slight frown as Tsukiko took the initiative. “Um, Tsukiko…” she began, slightly cautiously as the Yafutoman girl cast her spell. “…that, um, won’t have any effect…” she swallowed. “Nix is, um, wounded; not disorientated or debilitated…” she stated apologetically, stepping forward, her hand reaching into her pouch and clasping around the green glow-rock. “I know a few balms that would take away the aching, Nix…” Jel continued as she withdrew the green moonstone “…but to treat the, um, wounds…”

She closed her eyes a moment, concentrating upon the stone and Nixie’s foot as she silently prayed to Quet’ya, then quietly to the moon above. “Moons… give her strength…” she almost whispered, running her hand across Nixie’s foot as the pale green mist of a Sacri descended upon Nixie’s scratched, bruised limb.

“…there.”

A quiet exhale, and Jel was done. “I could, um, still get you a poultice for the aching, Nix.” She breathed quietly after a moment’s pause. “But, um, you’d have to keep your feet aerated for it to have an effect. It’d quickly rub off if you put on... those.” She nodded her head toward Tsukiko’s spare sandals. “So it, um, might be better without a treatment… if you can, erm, cope with the pain as now?” she winced apologetically, hoping it would be better for Nixie not to take any further sole-wounds with the tall sandals then it would be to soothe her current aching.

The blunt-spoken scout reappeared, and Jel blanched as she gave Nixie a flat order. “Okay.” she nodded, trotting off after her friend and Tsukiko.

~

They found Kokyrie lying on her belly at the top of a ridge, and as they climbed to meet her Jel’s eyes widened as she looked out over the top for a moment… then hurriedly pulled herself back. There was nothing over the ridge bar a steep slope and a fall into the endless skies; it seemed as though their hike had taken them from one side of the island right over to the other. Over in the distance Kokyrie was pointing out a settlement, though lacking her fiend’s amazing eyesight, all Jel could see was that there were indeed ships and a harbour. She blanched a little as Nixie mentioned a direct assault… did the Ixa’ness know what they’d be facing? She knew she didn’t, and the thought of blundering into some horrific iron-ship Valuan defence caused the hairs on the back of her neck to rise.

“Um… is there anyone in the group who looks like they’d belong there?” she mumbled, thinking back to how she and Nixie had slipped their way quietly into the Ixa’ness village. “If someone pops in ahead we could, um, try and avoid any… un… unpleasant surprises?” she faltered, nervously raising her fingers to her mouth.

Kokyrie gazed thoughtfully at Jel'din. "That's not a bad idea. I was expecting to find a run-down collection of hovels. And I did. But with that thing floating there," She gestured at the ugly yellow trawler. "I have to wonder if there are any other surprises waiting for us. What do you think Nixie? Nixie?"

Nixie had moved away from the edge of the precipice and sat fiddling with the shoes Tsukiko had given her. "What? Oh, yeah. We should definitely scout the place out I think." She answered, giving her captain her attention again. "But the only ones who would fit in are me and you, being pirates and all."

"That's true. And maybe you Tsukiko." Kokyrie added. "I hate to put you in harm's way like this but having a Yafutoman with us will help us blend in better. With you around nobody would believe we came straight from Ixa'taka."

Kokyrie thought the plan over for a moment. "How about you Jel? You've seen more of the world than the rest of our party. Will you also accompany us into the town?" She asked.

~

Word of Jel'din's plan circulated quickly through the assembly. Kokyrie had barely rejoined her entourage before Shandala raised her objections. "You're going into the town to scout it out first?" She asked incredulously.

"Yes. And I already know what you're about to say, so don't bother." Kokyrie warned the former War Chieftain. "I'm not going down there to warn anyone that they're about to be attacked. I just want to know what we're walking into before we do."

Shandala arched an eyebrow at her. "I wasn't about to suggest any such thing! Even I don't think so little of you that I'd suspect you of selling your own people into slavery. Consorting with the King yes, but not with the likes of these heathens."

Kokyrie gave her a pointed look. Shandala returned it. "You're not are you?" She asked finally.

"No!" Kokyrie shot back. She knew it had been too good to be true.

Shandala shrugged. "Still, I'm not sure it's a good idea. We should begin our attack now while we still have the element of surprise. The longer we wait, the more likely we are of being discovered."

The two rival women glared at one another. But just when it seemed that another argument was about to break out they were interrupted by Xera. "It's a good idea. I think we should do it." She said, surprising both of them. "And...if it's okay I'd like to come with you."

Kokyrie and Shandala could only stare at her, so unexpected was her request. Finally Kokyrie was able to stammer a reply. "Uh, sure. I guess you can come with us."

"Why do you want to go Xera?" Shandala asked suspiciously. "What do you think you'll find down there?"

Xera glanced away from her, unable to meet her friend's gaze. "I have my reasons. You know them already."

Kokyrie recalled from what was said during the night of her coronation that Xera had lost her younger sister to the Valuans. Did she honestly expect to reunite with her in the slavers' camp?

"That's good enough for me." Kokyrie agreed, cutting off any further bickering between the two. "But you stick with me. Don't go traipsing off and do anything stupid." Xera nodded in affirmation.

"Okay good, we've got our scouting party. The five of us will go take a look around and then return before nightfall. If anything goes wrong I'll send up a signal arrow. Begin the attack if I do." Kokyrie outlined her plan. "We'll sneak in and find some new clothes to wear. Er, Tsuki you're fine I guess. But the rest of us need to look like we just stepped off of a ship."

Nixie smiled up at her from the ground. "I've got the shoes already." She said, proudly displaying the wooden sandals she'd gotten from the priestess.

"Good for you." Kokyrie sighed. "Geez, I wish I'd thought to bring my old clothes with me too."

There was nothing to do about that now she realized. "Well then, we're as ready to go as we'll ever be I guess." Kokyrie said without much zeal. "Let's get a move on."

The rest of the Ixa'takans began to settle down at the base of the hill as Kokyrie led her small group through the forest. Keeping the skyfront to her right she hoped to reach the town within an hour's walk.

Tsukiko watched as Nixie put on the shoes, they looked a little odd on her but these are the only shoes Tsukiko knew off.
Not only was it the first time away from yafutoma, it was also her first real time away from her home, the Tsuki shrine.

As talk of scouting ahead started, Tsukiko caught ear of something shocking to her.
"But the only ones who would fit in are me and you, being pirates and all." Nixie mentioned.

Tsukiko sat up for a moment with a look of shock on her face.
Was Nixie a pirate!? This was all she could ask herself as she thought back to the stories she had been told about them.

Kokyrie then explained that the shrine maiden should go with the group to help blend in.
Jel'din was also asked to join the group to go on ahead.

''Your a pirate?'' Tsukiko nervously asked Nixie as she then covered her mouth with her hands,
scared in case she was attacked.
''Are you all pirates?'' She asked worrying as she made sure to keep herself to herself.

~

"Okay good, we've got our scouting party.'' Kokyrie called out as Tsukiko made her way over.
She told the group they needed to dress up, but that Tsukiko was fine how she was.

This made her blush a little as she smiled.
Tsukiko really liked her kimono and was glad she could keep it on.

"I've got the shoes already." Nixie showed off her shoes which made Tsukiko smile even more.
''Maybe not all pirates are bad?'' She asked herself.

"Let's get a move on." Kokyrie ordered the group to move out.
Tsukiko was a little worried, up to now she had no idea that she was in the company of pirates,
then again she was having a nice time.

As they started walking the young maiden took out her note book,
''Not all pirates bad...'' She talked to herself while writing down her notes.
''Midori......irresponsible..''

Jel’din felt her cheeks brighten; her nervous visage softening into a smile as Kokyrie decided her idea had merit. She tilted her head to listen, confused a moment by her description as of having seen more of the world then others in the party, but the more she thought about it she realised that was actually true. Adventures with Kokyrie and her crew had taken Jel through many of the world’s different environs, from their meeting in the gales of south-ocean through to escapades in the city of Valua, from baking under the hot moon of Nasr to the refreshingly cool breezes of Yafutoma.

Emerging from her brief reflection, she gave a quick nod of her head. “Yes, of course!” she beamed, clasping her hands together tightly. “Um… if you’re sure I won’t give you away, that is.” She added, blushing faintly.

As Kokyrie wandered off to tell the rest of the band of their plan, she sat herself down next to Nixie, watching as her friend strapped those wooden platforms to her feet. “How do they feel, Nix?” she queried, gazing at the yafutoman shoes. “Are they comfortable?”

But before her question could be answered, Jel’din faltered as Tsukiko asked her own nervous question. “Um… you weren’t told?” she gasped, mouth open wide. “Kokyrie was a great pirate captain before her return to the Ixa’ness!” Jel answered, with a slight glow of pride “and Nixie was a good pirate too! I, um, wasn’t really a pirate myself…” she blushed crimson “…but I sailed with them after they saved my life, helping tend their wounds, and such…”

As Kokyrie returned to their little band, Jel gave a worried glance toward Xera as she saw the woman following her captain, then turned them back to Kokyrie as she explained their plan, and gave a nod of understanding. “I didn’t bring my old clothes either…” Jel’din sighed, though after a moment’s thought she realised that was probably for the best; her old clothes had been as evidently Ixa’takan as the ones she wore now, with the added problem of them being a mite too small and uncomfortable.

She gave another nod of agreement, and as the Ixa’takan force set in to wait at the hill-base, she followed Kokyrie along the forest trail toward the unknown settlement; wondering what awaited them, and making sure to keep herself as far from the sky-front as she could…

Kokyrie led the group through the forest for a few hours, traveling over a landscape that was steadily declining. With gravity on their side it was an easy hike and they made good time.

Well, it wasn't quite so easy for Nixie. She stumbled and tripped on more than one occasion as Tsukiko's shoes slid about on her feet, lubricated by Jel'din's ointment. Finally Nixie was forced to remove them and tied them to her belt.

"Guess they're not as comfortable as I'd thought." She sighed to Jel'din. But her spirits lifted just as quickly. "Hey Tsuki, you've really never met an Air Pirate? Aren't the Tenkou pirates too? Well, me and Kyrie are pirates and you know us so.....yeah! And we used to know a member of the Tenkou too. He had this big dragon tattoo on his chest and he was super strong! He and Kyrie were an item for a while. But....he died. Sometimes I think she misses him and...."

"Will you monkeys please stop chattering back there?" Xera growled from just ahead of the three younger girls, cutting off Nixie's rambling story. "Every pirate on the island will know we're coming if you keep making all that racket."

Nixie snorted and looked away from her. It was obvious there was no love lost between those two either. Fortunately their rivalry wasn't as fierce as the one that stood between Kokyrie and Shandala.

"Sssshhh! What's going on? Be quiet." Kokyrie hissed back at Xera. "You're a huntress for Moon's sake. Act like one."

Xera blushed but held her tongue. Nixie snorted with laughter but quickly stifled it, nudging Jel'din in the ribs as if daring her to laugh too.

And so the journey continued, albeit a bit more quietly.

~

"Ssshhh. I hear voices." Kokyrie shushed the group as they approached a thick knot of underbrush. "Stay down and keep quiet. I'll go check it out."

Nixie grinned at Xera and drew her finger across her lips as if zipping them. The older girl glowered back at her and shook her head.

Kokyrie glided forward like a phantom, blending with the shadows and moving without making a single sound. Just ahead of her, somewhere in the underbrush, the sound of whispered voices and muffled movement could be heard.

"....on now. No one will...." The deeper voice of a man was saying.

"Maybe we should...." A woman's voice replied. "....out here like this."

They were close. Kokyrie crept forward until she was close enough to hear their conversation. But instead of words her ears detected the sound of labored breathing and an occasional grunt. Arching an eyebrow she rose slowly to her feet and peered over a tangle of underbrush to catch sight of her quarry.

Kokyrie's eyes widened at what she beheld. Falling back to a crouch she hurried back to where the others waited. "Well, I think I found us a couple of sets of clothes. And I don't think it'll be a problem getting them off of their owners."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Xera asked curiously.

Kokyrie gave a sidelong glance. "They were....doing....stuff." She answered cryptically.

"Stuff? What kind of stuff?" Xera persisted.

Kokyrie's hands wove about, making a few gestures, as if to explain. She gave up on it though. "Oh, just follow me. And keep quiet."

The girl's rose to follow her. Again Nixie shot Xera a smile and raised her finger to her lips. Xera rolled her eyes and fell in behind Kokyrie.

~

"They're just on the other side of those bushes." Kokyrie's voice was barely a whisper as she outlined her plan. "Xera and I will handle this. You three stay right here and......er, just don't look."

Nixie tilted her head to one side in confusion but Kokyrie didn't elaborate. She and Xera crept forward, leaving the three younger girls to themselves. "What do you suppose she meant by that?" Nixie whispered to Jel'din and Tsukiko.

At that moment a loud moan rose from the clearing ahead. "Yes! Moons yes!" A woman's voice cried out in ecstasy.

~

Kokyrie leapt into the clearing and jammed the butt end of her spear into the back of the man's head, knocking him flat. "What the fu~" The woman lying beneath his naked body gasped as she squirmed out from beneath his dead weight.

"Who are you?" Her voice rose in a hoarse scream a moment before Xera's club struck her from behind. Her equally unclothed body fell to the ground next to her lover's.

Kokyrie glanced down at the two of them. "You picked a bad spot for a tryst my friends." She chastised the unconscious duo. Then, to Xera she added; "Do we have anything to tie them up with?"

"Why not just kill them and be done with it?" Xera asked with a venomous look towards the two helpless pirates. "It's what they deserve."

Kokyrie shrugged. "That's just not my style."

"I didn't know you were so squeamish." Xera retorted.

"It's just my way of giving back to the forest." Kokyrie replied with a crooked grin. "Predators usually prefer live prey."

"You're going to leave them here to.....oh." Xera gasped in surprise at Kokyrie's cold-blooded tactics. "Oh, yeah. Good idea. Yeah, leave them for the beasts to devour."

Kokyrie snickered to herself. It was unlikely that any dangerous monsters would venture this close to the pirate town so the duo would live to tell this embarrassing story later. Murder just wasn't in her nature but she didn't feel like arguing with Xera right now.

Collecting the discarded clothing the pirates had scattered across the clearing in the heat of passion the two women hurried back to where Nixie and the others were waiting. Laying the articles out on the ground Kokyrie frowned.

"That still leaves two disguises to find. And this stuff doesn't look like it'll fit you two." She gestured towards Nixie and Jel'din. "We'll have to scrounge around for something else in town."

The male pirate had been wearing a white shirt and a pair of blue breeches that were cut off just above the knee. His lady friend had worn a pair of green breeches and a grey tank top.

Kokyrie selected the green pants and white shirt for herself. "I need to look the best dressed since I'm a captain." She explained as she removed her top and donned the shirt, tying it off just above her navel. Kokyrie didn't bother to remove the lower half of her outfit, as it was basically underwear anyway. She then slid her shapely legs into the pants and fastened them. They were a tight fit but Kokyrie decided that she looked good in them.

"Do I really have to wear this?" Xera sighed, holding the pants in one hand and the tank top in the other. Kokyrie nodded and she reluctantly began to undress.

As Xera stepped into her ill-gotten pants Kokyrie grabbed the shirt from her hand. "Hey, what gives?" Xera growled. She stood glaring at Kokyrie and covering her bare breasts with her hand.

"Nixie, lemme borrow your knife for a second." Kokyrie requested. Nixie stepped forward and offered her the blade. Kokyrie then used its keen edge to shear the lower half of Xera's shirt off and threw the top half back to her.

Xera wiggled into the shirt that now left her stomach bare. It was a revealing style but would have been considered tame by Ixa'takan standards. As she turned this way and that, inspecting her new garments, Kokyrie sliced the lower half of her shirt into strips of fabric.

"Okay, I think we're ready now." She announced. "Let's move on."

~

Kokyrie continued to lead her group towards the town which loomed close enough now that they could all hear the sounds of civilization and smell the stench of human corruption.

And in the middle of the clearing a pair of naked pirates sat on opposite sides of a tree. Their hands had been bound behind their backs by strips of cloth and their mouths gagged by what had once been the cups of Kokyrie's bikini top.

“Um… you weren’t told?” gasped Jel'din as she explained to Tsukiko that Kokyrie was indeed a pirate.
She then went on to tell her that she herself was not a pirate but helped out after being saved by them.

''They saved you?'' Tsukiko wondered as she made a note of this.
From what she heard pirates did not like to help people, she knew that she did not know much about the outside world but not this much.
As they returned to the group Tsukiko watched as Nixie tripped while trying to walk in the shoes she had given her.
This made the young maiden smile a little as walking in such shoes were no problem for herself.

Just then she turned to Tsukiko with a question, asking about the Tenkou and other pirates while she removed her shoes and tied them to her belt.
For a moment Tsukiko placed her finger on her lips while looking up at the sky as if she was in deep thought.
''Tenkou...?'' She repeated.

''I think I have heard that name before....'' She quickly shook here head as she placed her hands together and bowed, ''Im sorry, I don't know.''
She looked up as her face went a little red, ''My home, the Tsuki shrine, is separate from the main land and so I have not really ever been outside.''
Tsukiko sounded a little disappointed as she spoke.

The shrine maiden explained a little of her family's history, how the Ishikawa women trained in magic night and day in order to help in battles.
It was only now that the sisters had more free time to themselves unlike their ancestors.

''I have always wanted to see the world, but I know so little...'' Tsukiko hung her head a little, she knew she was in friendly company but she was still worried about being around pirates.

Just then Xera told the group to stop chattering, "Every pirate on the island will know we're coming if you keep making all that racket."
She added.

''Every pirate?'' Tsukiko's eyes widened, ''I hope they are good ones like all of you..''

Kokyrie hissed back at Xera, telling her to act like a huntress which seemed to make Nixie laugh.
Tsukiko smiled a little as it reminded her of the way her own sister would act.

Just then Kokyrie took off, as if she was looking for something, Tsukiko waited with the others for her to return which did not take long.
She told them about some clothes they could get a hold off.
Tsukiko had no idea why they needed clothes but she was starting to understand that they were doing something that pirates would.

They followed their leader down to the bushes, however they were told to wait and not look.
"What do you suppose she meant by that?" Nixie whispered to Jel'din and Tsukiko.
Tsukiko just had a look of wonder on her face, she knew all but one of the silver magic so she was sure she would of been asked to go along if it was dangerous.
''I don't think there is any trouble...'' She started to say before a voice from the bushes called out.
"Yes! Moons yes!"

Tsukiko blushed and covered her face with her hands, she had a good idea what the woman was calling out about.
When she finally removed her hands from her face she saw that Kokyrie was back with them.
She put the clothes out on the ground before them all.

Both Kokyrie and Xera got changed into the clothes as the girls watched.
Tsukiko still was not sure what was really going on but she had a feeling they did not want the people of this town to know who they were.
