Khorne didn't know just why Vylaska had sent for him. They had nothing to discuss that he knew of. Unless she was holding something back from him, no matter. As he walked down the halls he couldn't help but think back to the night when he had first come through this place. Back then it had been an awe inspiring sight to any mortal, even he had been impressed with the castle.

Well, there was a lot to celebrate in those days. Now not so much of course. There will be soon enough though, with a conquest to come and Eseril to die soon.

Khorne didn't need a guide through the fortress, he had been down to visit his master often enough. Finding Vylaska's quarters were simple enough, he just had to look for the door with no guards outside. He knocked on the door, and then proceeded to go in. After all she had been the one to summon him, if she was not ready that was not his problem.

"You sent for me Vylaska?"

Khorne kept his tone as civil as he could, it irked him that she still had this power to call him when needed. Even so they had an agreement, and part of that was that he would be respectful to her. As respectful as he could manage now. It was early and there was still much to do if his hordes were to be ready for the conquest of Rudia. The raids were going well enough but it wasn't enough to strike against any of the southern regions yet.

She had been waiting for this day for many years now, it could not have been accomplished any sooner but it was worth the wait. Soon Esresil would be finished and Khorne would be the new army Commander. This day was hers and Vylaska took no time in dressing for the matter. The dark temptress wore a long blood red gown made of silk, it was gorgeous, wrapping around her waist to accentuate her curves. The gown laid across her shoulders, dipping into a deep v at her breasts. It was a radiant dress that on any other woman would have probably looked sleazy but yet Vylaska pulled it off with a mysterious grace. Her hair was left down in curls, falling like a waterfall down her back. She hadn't been waiting long when Khorne arrived. The woman had kept her message vague, for she wanted the pleasure of telling the demon in person.

"Good afternoon General. I am glad that you could make it. I was worried you might be too busy planning your attacks for Rudaia to meet me."

A wicked smile appeared on her face. She wasn't being sarcastic by any means, just delighted she could share her triumph with him. If anything it should earn her more of his respect.

"I have a gift for you Khorne. One I think you will deeply appreciate. Come with me."

Vylaska led him through the palace, the guards bowed to the both of them as they went down into the fortresses dungeons. Not an unusual place for the Mother of the Shadows or the Sword of the Twilight but not usually together. She led him to the last cell which was guarded by four of her mages as well as two regular guards. There in the last cell, chained to the wall, sat Esresil.

"Her execution is to be held in one hour."

Vylaska's dress was far from befitting the hour, she seemed to be ready to go to a ball or court for a king. On another woman it would of looked like something a cheap whore would wear for the night. The thought brought a smile to his lips, he had always thought she would be better suited to the role. Strange that she dressed that way but she always seemed to be a little eccentric in his opinion. None the less it made him feel all the more proud of his simple leather tunic and wool shirt he wore under it, simple things were more useful in a time of war. Her smile irked him more than anything, she was either being sarcastic or holding a secret from him.

"The Rudians are more resilient than we were expecting, so this had better be important or quick Vylaska."

When she mentioned a gift his eyes widened, there were few things she had that he wanted. Perhaps this would be a meeting worth the time away from his campaign. She guided him through the palace, with the guards saluting and some giving odd stares. All of them were Daemons own personal guards, that made him a little nervous that these ones had no fear of him. Khorne was more a warlord then a general, and when he couldn't command fear or respect it unnerved him.

"Why are we headed to the dungeon?"

Suddenly he had his wits about him in full, the campaign would bring a great deal of glory to the forces, and if he failed to be ready in time it would be the mages who would gain the glory of the conquest not the army. When they came to the last cell with two guards and four mages. The prisoner sitting there brought a smile to his face, in all the excitement for the campaign he had forgotten completely about their deal.

"One hour? Do they have a executioner and method chosen yet?"

A few ideas went through his head as to what he would do if it was up to him. He thought for sure that Jax would love the chance to drive his blades into her, and if he didn't then Khorne would take the honor himself.

She knew Khorne never cared for her much, mostly because she was in a higher position than he was and he could never remove her from that position. One thing Vylaska had working in her favor was the Black Tower, she possessed more magic than any she knew of in the known world and she delighted in it. Soon she would even be more powerful with the help of Esresil. Her powers were within her grasp, she almost didn't even notice Khorne's distaste in having to be there. He figured his plans for Rudaia were more important than anything she could provide him. Oh how wrong he was, but that was to come later. First Vylaska had to show Khorne that she was not a woman to be trifled with. Vylaska knew well of all his terrible deeds but he knew not a thing about hers. Yes, she was far more vicious and cruel than he probably knew her to be and it was time for her to reveal her worth to the Dark Lord.

"You shall see soon enough."

It didn't take him long to realize why she had brought him down here nor for a smile to spread across his face. She was all too pleased with herself. Single handedly Vylaska had defused Esresil's power, she had turned her into a traitor when the woman had been nothing but loyal to their lord. But she had to go. The Mother of the Shadows needed someone in Command that had more respect for her and one that she could get what she wanted from. Vylaska grinned.

"Her execution is to be decided by our Lord but I could recommend you for the job. He should be here shortly to question her before the execution. Oh and I took the liberty of having your Captain brought, I imagine he would be pleased to be a part of this 'joyous' occasion."

Esresil was chained in her cell, even so she seemed defiant. Khorne let out a sigh, it was a shame she couldn't be kept alive. She would of made a fiesty concubine at first but he could of broken her easily enough given some time. Well no use dwelling on what might of been, as he stood there he only just became aware of her own words.

"Khorne, this witch has shown herself to be a traitor! You must see that her true nature is known by our lord. I have been nothing but loyal, you must kill her for me now!"

Even here she thought to command him! It was a pleasing thought that she would never again be able to do so. Why not rub it in her smug face for a while since they were waiting for their lord.

"Even if you are loyal Esresil, you have failed our lord. You allowed catastrophic events to befall his lands and for this alone you should be flayed alive by the slaves. Though if I am permitted to be your executioner I promise you a death in the arena, one your worthy of receiving."

Even if he hated her he at least owed her that, she had been the one to give khorne his position, and much of his freedom before she got smart. Well there was nothing else he could do about it for now except wait for their lord and master.

Daemon sat in, yet another, ridiculously boring meeting. The days heat bore down on them, pounding relentlessly. These fools would drive him to drink, or to murder, if they didn't shut up; he thought annoyed, as he pictured killing them all. Calming himself, Daemon stood quickly.

"Gentlemen, this meeting is at an end. We will meet tomorrow, hopefully with some better suggestions."

With that he strode out of the room, his guards matching his step. He resisted the urge to run, deciding to kill any of the fools who tried to stop him. Luckily, for them, none of them were stupid enough. Daemon was growing weary of all their pointless bickering; and he had a woman to kill, and another to take roughly... again and again. These thoughts put a small smile on his face.

Reaching the cells, he waved his guards away, entering alone. He smirked upon hearing Esresil's last words. Nobody knew Vylaska's true nature. It was what made her so.... intriguing. Daemon didn't trust her, but he also knew she needed him... at least until they conquered the world. The day after, well that would be an interesting day.

Coming up behind Vylaska, he wrapped an arm around her pressing tightly behind her. His hips pressing roughly into her buttocks, as he whispered seductively in her ear.

"So whatever shall we do to her."

He asked his hand tracing up and down her silk dress. She stirred something deep in him, lust mingled with the need to destroy. It was like a drug, powerful and intoxicating. Daemon suspected she was involved in the sudden downfall of Esresil, but it was survival of the fittest. And Esresil had certainly proved she wasn't a survivor. It was a shame really, the woman had been good at her job... once.

Walking past her, Daemon trailed his finger at the v neck of her dress. As he waked towards Esresil.

"You and I have a lot to talk about I believe."

Taking a pouch from his pocket, he took a pinch of powder from it. Leaning forward blowing into her face.

"Don't worry the effects will only last for ten minutes... but they will be the longest ten minutes of your life."

Her face was already flushed, the screaming would come quickly. The effect was intense, it felt like your body was being flayed alive, while limbs snapped and were reset. He had taken it so many times, he was all but immune to it. Pain made him stronger, able to withstand the coming days. Daemon knew this pain well.

"Don't worry Khorne you can fight her I have no care how she dies... but I just need a few things answered first."

Khorne heard the footsteps coming from the back of the dungeon. It was sheer reflex that made him tense up until he saw the figure that approached was his master. He forced himself to embrace what he had learned so long ago to make himself relax. He wouldn't be attacked here, and if he was there were only two people in the room who had a hope of killing him.

"Greetings master, Did the meeting go over well or should I start making examples of the nobles?"

He was unsurprised when he moved for the witch, he had no understanding just what his devotion to the lady was but he wasn't about to question her here. After all he had nothing to say at the moment to add to the situation. Even if he did his bargain with Vylaska was struck and there was nothing he could to escape it..... yet.

"Answers should be very easy to obtain, the question would be just how truthful they are. I've seen even the hardest of mortals break and say anything to save themselves. We need a ... lighter touch to handle this sort of work. Perhaps one of Vylaska's witches would be up to the task?"

He didn't trust her to do it, she could easily break the witch into saying anything, the others may have their loyalties lie in her but they were still smart enough to fear their lord and not try anything stupid.

"Should I have one of my guards send for one? or would you prefer to summon them yourselves Vylaska?"

((Post for Esresil))

Esresil struggled and stretched against her bonds, the pain of her bones breaking only so they would mend and break again was practically unbearable. As soon as Vylaska was near enough, she spit in her eye.

"Wretched WHORE! You shall never be anything more then a screw to satisfy the lusts of men. I am NO TRAITOR!!! It is you who snakes around behind our Lords back making plans, unholy alliances and by the gods who knows what else! I have nothing to say, if you believe me to be a failure and traitor then put me to death. But know this, this vile serpent will be the ruination of your great nation! Beware her, her cruelty is limitless and is accountable to no one. Not even you My Lord."

She stopped struggling, deciding her efforts were useless. Let them judge her, let them do their worst for it was they who were deceived. Deceived by soft pale curves hidden beneath seductive fabrics who spoke with a clever tongue but beneath her outer shell lie a sleeping beast, pending it's time until the right moment at which it shall be unleashed upon the world. Esresil almost joyed that she would not be around on that black day.
