Appearance A delicate rose blossoming amongst the thorns and dazzling in the sunlight. She is a tall young beauty with luscious sensual curves just begging to be caressed. Terai is a maiden with gold of sunshine in her hair. It hangs in loose curls around her delicate waist. She possesses eyes as deep as the sea and as blue as the sky, they are like sapphire spheres that have captured the twinkling of two bright stars. Her skin is a soft buttery cream color that feels gentle as silk. There is a natural blush to her cheeks as if painted on by the softest brush. Hers is a rosebud mouth touched by the morning dew seemingly on the verge of a smile... or a kiss. Surely the rose would wither on the branch if it could feel envy. Her wardrobe consists of refined, expensive fashions. Shades of every color, the finest fabrics and expensive design. Jewelry, corsets, layered skirts, undergarments, nightgowns, cloaks, gloves, shoes, shawls, shirts, skirts, pants and gowns line her trunk, dresser and closet. It is said that her closet is the largest in the entire known world and her wardrobe far more elaborate then even the Evorian Princess.
Personality Terai is a kind, caring, compassionate, friendly, warm, loving and bright young female. She is not selfish, cruel or inconsiderate. She is not vain or spoiled! Terai is hard working, outgoing and spirited. She holds the lives of others higher than her own. Not only is she generous but she is intelligent. She knows a great deal about politics and the laws of the land. A well spoken maid who voices her opinion openly if she believes it needs to be voiced. Her voice is soft and pleasant on the ears, often described to be like a gentle summer’s rain. She fulfils her duties to both her family and to Evora. But despite all of this Terai is a dreamer. She dreams of romance and love as most woman do. Often she dreams of a prince or knight that will sweep her off her feet. In her spare time she enjoys singing, dancing, playing the harp and tending her gardens.
History Terai was born on a bright warm Summer’s day to the Lord and Lady Kabala. She was named after her great grandmother. The name Terai means enchanting beauty. Her family has played an important role in Evorian History. They have lived in the Kabala Estates for over five generations since it was built by Verran Kabala. Terai is the youngest of five, with three older sisters and one older brother. Her oldest sister is named Sophie then her twin sisters are Elyianna and Jholia. Terai’s older brother is named Robin, their connection is closest of all.

Hers was a very happy and gifted childhood with no expenses spared. She lived a rather comfortable and respected life, a life of fortune and high class. But even though her family was well off and highly respected, they were not selfish or stuck up. Her parents believed firmly in hard work and caring for others. They taught their children to have respect for all races and classes. She and her siblings were all sent to attend the academy in Xenith for their education. Their father taught each of them how to use the sword and the use of martial arts. He wanted to ensure his family could protect themselves if necessary. Though he focused most of his training on her brother, teaching him sword techniques. Their mother taught them a great deal about politics, elves and music.

When Terai was six years old she discovered her gift in magic, she accidentally lit her oldest sisters hair on fire from across the room without even a candle flickering near by. Her mother aided in her training having been instructed at the Towers herself. Since she was so young, Terai was not yet allowed to become a novice in Dorn instead she studied what she could with her mother until she was the age of 11.

It was a rather sad day when she was sent away to train at the Towers, but she knew that one day she would be reunited with her family again and reluctantly left her Estate in Evora for a life of a Novice. She was a fast learner and a powerful mage as well, the Zulkier were impressed by her talents and took her carefully within their care, teaching her all that they were able to use, manipulate and control her power. They soon realized that her power was greater then any of their own, causing a stir within the Mages. So she was trained individually by each Zulkier, of this was to be unheard of but the Zulkier kept her intense training a well kept secret. Others believed she attended for such a great length of time because she was a slow learner. Terai did not correct the falsehood of this rumor. She knew well before attending the Towers of what she was and the great part she would one day play in the world. It was her burden and hers alone to carry, though she doesn’t not understand how she knew, she simply did. She was ‘The Golden Rose’, somehow she was the one spoken of from the Prophecy. But this mattered very little, for without ‘The Blue Dragon’, Terai knew there was nothing she could do alone. She would have to wait for this person to reveal themself to her and until that time she had to keep her connection to the Prophecy a secret. If anyone were to learn who she was, they might in their ignorance, send her to the Shadow Lands to stop Daemon. Terai knew she would fail and if she were to fall into his grasp, all hope would be lost.

While at the Towers receiving instruction, the remainder of her family was called upon to journey into the Shadow Land and rescue the Queen of Dorn and Jason, Prince of Evora. They were successful in rescuing the Queen but unfortunately the entire Kabala family and the Prince died within the once proud mountain kingdom. Or so was the belief... Robin Kabala had been instructed to lead the Queen to safety, he had done so with impressive skill and bravery, after all he was the ‘Master of the Sword’. Unfortunately his injuries were great and reaching the ship sitting in the only harbor of Coai’ Orod, he and the Queen were attacked. He managed to get her aboard but most thought he would never survive the journey home and sent false news to Evora.

Terai returned to Xenith a ‘Sister of the Towers’, she was a full mage. But her homecoming was not to be a welcome one, for she found suitors lined around her families estate asking for her hand. She was indeed fair, a young woman of nineteen with beauty beyond compare. Terai knew they only sought her for her families grand estate and wealth and for her face. She turned them down one by one until the devastating day she received word of her family and their dear friend, Prince Jason. Terai was sick with grief and in her weakness a Lord Reginald Tervas came to the Estate and informed her that if she refused his betrothal he would buy her estates from under her and have the place burnt down. She agreed but with a heavy heart. On the day of the ceremony, Terai heard a horse approach from a far. She turned to see who else was arriving to the saddest day of her life and was rather surprised and filled with joy to see it was her older brother Robin. Terai turned to Reginald and punched him square in the nose before jumping onto the horse with Robin. She rode away the happiest woman in Evora. Shortly after her near tragedy at the alter, Terai and her brother transformed part of their families estates into the largest Inn in the known world. At 21, she was asked to join the Council as a High Seat of Xenith in place of her father. She agreed with all of her heart. Now at 23, Terai is a successful Inn keeper as well as being the only female upon the King’s Council.
