Our site incorporates a point system based on bios, posting/role-playing abilities and over-all time as a member of the site. Your character's rank/standing in the site will determine your total score out of 100. The general layout is as follows:
100-90 = An almighty God/Goddess = (Not Applicable)
90-80 = A Demi-god/goddess (think Hercules) = (Not Applicable)
80-70 = Admin/Moderator level (so that means, unless we know you, trust you, and hand you a permission slip that says you've reached this level, no.)
70-60 = Established member
Up to 60 = New members
Below 60 = Plebians
Now that you know your score, you're probably wondering how to use it.
As explained above, our layout is based on a one hundred (100) point system in eight areas. The areas are as follows:
Strength: Thats right, raw power! Particularly important to the big, beefy warrior types
Speed: Cheetah? Turtle? Something well-balanced in between? Particularly important to thieves (at least those who get caught), etc.
Defense: Self-explanatory isn't it? For those who'd really rather not have to fight or are fending off an attacker.
Dexterity: Ability be any of the following: "lithe," "wiry," "graceful," "a gymnast..." etc. (Particularly important to those who have to get in and out of strange places i.e. assassins, thieves, soldiers, etc.)
Wisdom: Worldly knowledge, "street smarts" (Particularly important to survival of wanders, rogues, minions, dark mages, etc.)
Intelligence: Acquired knowledge, "book smarts" Particularly important to scholars, mages, etc.
Charisma: Personal magnetism: the ability to inspire enthusiasm, interest or affection in others by means of personal charm or influence.
Magical Ability: Self-explanatory. Concentrated in mages, etc. (Mostly used for the Nine Towers in Dorn and Magic Based Positions in Coia' Orod. Other characters may possess such skills, but should be played down.)
You have to divide your total score (somewhere between 60 and 80 according to your rank) between the above 8 categories.
Now that you know where your points go, you're probably wondering how the numbers rank.
0 Non-Existent: The only area this should ever be applied to is Magic Ability for those who do not possess one, anywhere else and you will be asked to edit.
1-5 Below Average: Just below the norm, a proverbial D student. ( remember, a 4 or under places you below the plebeians meaning your chances against a character in this area are 0. Really anything this low should only be used in either charisma; an unfriendly fellow, or magical ability for newbies. A 1 in defense: You stub your toe and you DIE! In wisdom or intelligence: You likely can't spell your name properly, etc., in dexterity: Can walk okay, but back flips are well out of the question.)
6-9 Average: This across the board makes you the average Joe-Schmoe char! *All non-player characters (NPCs) have an average of roughly five, so all player characters ARE a step above the normal milling lot of plebeians! *
10-12 Slightly Above Average: A step ahead of the rest! (Magic Ability: Can control and manipulate your talent successfully, rarely experiencing any mishaps. Speed: quick enough to get away from a shop keeper after you've swiped something!)
13-14 Above Average: TWO steps ahead of the rest! (Strength: Barrel full of ale? Fat old lady? Oh yeah! You can heave them both over your shoulder! Charisma: Everyone seems to find it incredibly difficult to say no to you!) ((Most characters will only have one or two areas rating this high!))
15-19 Excellent: Says it all doesn't it? You EXCEL in this area! There are very few that can top you here! ((Though new characters MAY have a stat in this range, it is nearly impossible to have more than one of this calliber until you reach Moderator/Administrator rank!))
20 FLAWLESS!: Your talent in this area is perfected, there is a slim to none chance of anyone beating you here! ((This is applicable only to those with a Moderator/Administrator rank!))
**If after all of that you are still confused or unsure how to rank your stats, please ask an Admin and we will try to assist you.**
