250 years ago, Ascalon was a bustling kingdom with beautiful plains and rolling hills...that was until the Seering. The Charr have all but destroyed this kingdom and its citizens have long since abandoned it, leaving nothing but vengeful ghosts seeking revenge on every adventurer that dares enter Ascalon.

The Shiverpeaks are divided into three sections. South Shiverpeaks, North Shiverpeaks and Far Shiverpeaks. They were once home to the Dwarves of Deldrimor, however they turned themselves into stone in an effort to save the world from the Destroyers. Once the Destroyers were eliminated and the eventual death of Skye Melandru, the Stone Dwarves of Deldrimor now keep themselves to themselves, hiding in caves not yet catalogged while the Shiverpeaks other inhabitants, the Norn have been pushed south by the Charr and the Asura are now isolated from any friendly contact.
