The Quintessential Cosmic Chronos Cucco

There are a bunch of talents I could potentially post, but I figured this one would be nice!...I'll just copy and paste from Nsider2: This is a music video about Ganondorf, using Hurt by Johnny Cash. I thought this song was perfect for Ganondorf (I've always had a fascination with exploring Ganondorf's more human side, in fact I have a fanfic and a poem about it).I used footage from OoT, TWW, and TP (SPOILERS FOR ALL THREE GAMES!!!). This is my first music video, and I spent a LOT of time carefully putting it together using Windows Movie Maker. Enjoy, and feel free to comment! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL1VqjY8i2w&fmt=18http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL1VqjY8i2w&fmt=18 Now to discuss some aspects that you may not have noticed after seeing the video. Let's look at some subtleties. I took the artistic liberty of looking into Ganondorf's heart and mind. He gets defeated by the wielder of the Sword of Evil's Bane; as the power of the Tri-force leaves him he realizes he is going to die. As demonstrated by the white fading effect, his life flashes before his eyes in the moment before death. He dies; Zelda and Link look on unaware of all this. Perhaps by feeling remorse for his mistakes, and willingness to change he somehow redeemed himself... Now for the end sequence. Timlines aside, let's suspend our disbelief and say that Ganondorf's life goes through OoT, WW, then TP. Moments from his life start flashing backward from the moment before his death. At "If I could start again" this is interrupted by showing the first real scene with Ganondorf, in which he enters the throne room. Then the reverse-chronological sequence is interrupted again at "a million miles away" where he kneels. Finally, it all comes together in the last flash. Here are the links to the similar fanfic and poem. The fanfic (one-shot): Unforgiven The poem: Regret |
