Hey everyone, so once the restart gets going, I want to start a new clan called Cosa Nostra...but wanted to find out if there would be any1 interested in joining me in it:) Just wanted to have something new, with a new bunch of mixed players...write here if your interested and we will make it happen. Well i am always FOR the noob helper clan. but will we have enough people? we can always have that and try and go for a win. theyll know whats it like to be in a proper clan. How would you like to make it ovesh? |

Well we could make it something official, THE HELPER CLAN and anyone new to the game and in need of advise and help will be able to join and once he thinks he gets the game he can go to a big clan or any caln of his choice. I would like to have a very active fourm and a tip of the day post on the clan page etc etc Anyway pm if you want to talk about it more. |

You know a game sponsored noob clan would actually be a very good idea. It would prevent new players from being picked up for GC donations and then booted by less scrupulous clans. I would think it could be run without limit to # of members. Especially since the intention is to get players into the game and other clans once they learn the ropes. I wouldn't want players to have to donate to the noob clan since it exists for training new players. Keep it mainly a place for noobs to safely bank money, and learn the best ways to play LA. I think that players could join the noob clan, earn a few WPs and as long as they are under 2500 WPs be allowed to carry them over to an established clan. However the WP only count toward an IB only, otherwise clans would park players in the noob clan and then pick em up when they needed the WP for CBs. I think this would serve as a roughly week long training course for new players on LA and clan play. It would also help other clans with recruiting as well knowing that the players in the training clan are getting a solid knowledge base in game play and will be able to understand what is expected in clans. The only question is who would run such a clan, because the leaders of the clan would certainly be at a big disadvantage when it comes ranking time. |

I like your input glog, I am sure there are some old timers other then me that want to run such a clan. Ranking doesn't matter to me as much. maybe after one round with the helper clan I will gather some of them and some old timers and make a great clan  The important thing is making a place new players can join and fell welcomed and helped off the bat. |

I am in... if you call it "the academy" or something along the lines  Believe it or not, i had actually made plans to do something similar but seeing as you suggested it, it could be fun to do it as a group. The only thing would be having enough spaces free for the new players. We could in theory create a "network" of helper clans if it does become popular? |

If we can somehow get the clan approved so that it starts out at a much higher level or is not limited by how many members it could really serve its purpose. I know we are starting to talk about coding by granting exceptions, but it would be a good way for players to start the round out right. I think "graduates" of the training clan should be able to carry over some benefit to their new clans. I suggested 2500wp applied toward their first IB as an arbitrary amount. i don't know if it should go toward clan bonuses though. |

well glog you just repeated yourself there well it is not really any coding yosh could just make it a level 4 clan which is 13-14 players which is more then enough remember we don't have that many new players and they won't be in the clan for the whole round so it doesn't have to be to big |

well all nice ideas. I thnk its def doable. plus the ranking side, well the only drawback is the WP score, coz such a clan probably wont have many mutuals....but if that can be taken care of, its more or less the same as soloing for us old schoolers who wanna participate in this project. well sounds exciting anywyas:) not what i intended originally but a great project for LA! |
