Are they inspired by literature, mythos, legends, history, reality, or a case of cheap beer and some questionable pork rinds? I know there used to be some fairly detailed stories and introductions of some of the long time clans. If you have a written description or history for your clan, please share it here.

Its not all swashbuckling and quaffing. Its true, fame, fortune, wealth and power can be found by those brave enough to seek it. Death stalks the streets day and night laying claim to those unfortunate souls caught up in the endless struggles between warring factions seeking to wrest control of the city. Glory and Fame are paid for in blood daily in the legendary arena. The mighty warriors shed their lives honoring their clans. Merchants amass great wealth plying their trades. The fabled markets draw visitors from across the length and breadth of Alter Earth. At rat’s eye level there is an entirely different world. A world where only those strongest, meanest and most clever live to see the next day. There is one fortunate clan of rats that does a bit more than survive.. From inside the palace walls, throughout the city's sewers, from the lofts of the barns in the livestock yards, from basements, pantries and midden heaps comes the Silver Horde. This is their tail, er tale. Sniggers lived in the fabled Alahonnahsaylah market. Food and shelter was plentiful. The merchants drove away the dogs and cats so there was little danger faced day to day. You could say she had the ideal life for a rat. She had grown wise in the ways of the city. Life was simple: eat, sleep, make more rats. Life was wonderful for Sniggers and her brood until Ayatellahyu Eesnodyunk, the charm smith purchased the stand next to the Krotchian takeout place. But the merchant discarded many shiny trinkets on his waste pile. Items that were claimed by the foraging rats. One day Sniggers thought: "There must be more to life than eating, sleeping and making more rats." After a pause she continued "and why am I suddenly so concerned about things other than eating, sleeping and making more rats?" For you see the refuse claimed by the rats included many charms whose enchantments failed. They would not work as designed for the warriors who purchased them. But unbeknownst to the humans who shared the market with the rats, they charms had altogether too much influence on the rats small minds and bodies. Over time, the shiny trinkets leaked enough magic to enlarge the brains of the rats. As their brains grew in size and power, so did their bodies grow to accommodate the changes. The horde grew as they sought the most clever rats from across Karmina and gathered them together in sewers and basements. The rats’fur faded from black to silver gray, their front paws evolved amazing dexterity. . They grew large and powerful enough to wield the weapons of the humans. Their nimble fingers could repair the discarded weapons and armor they found lying about the city’s trash heaps. They could talk, they could think, they could... lay claim to the city! "Harken to me my brother and sister rats" Sniggers called to the rats. "For too long we have lived off the waste of others, hiding in shadows and fleeing in fear of brooms, cats and dogs! How many of us have died in the cruel traps of the uncaring humans who flood our homes with their filth?" Sniggers paused before continuing in a raised voice “Who will step forward to avenge us on these pitiful humans? Who shall lead us to our share of the fame, glory and riches? Nearly in unison two of the largest and meanest looking rats rats stepped forward. A sleek rat with gleaming fangs declared confidently “I Violentone will serve. Karmina belongs to the rats.” A larger older rat, missing part of an ear, one eye clouded over milky white spoke in a low voice that carried eerily throughout the chamber. “I Glogorskus pledge my fealty.” He nodded solemnly and stated “Now is indeed the time for the two legs to give us more than discards and death.” Sniggers motioned the two rats to stand at either side of her as she turned to the the assembled vermin. “A plague shall fall on this city” she sneered, “We will worry their food, strike fear into the hearts of the fishwives and children. With our quickness and sheer numbers we will overwhelm their strongest warriors. We shall strike them down with their own weapons. Karmina will be ours!” The rats cheered their leader. Grasping the hands of Violentone and Glogorskus, Sniggers held them high declaiming: “Our strike force shall be known as the Erat-I-KatorZ! Who is with us? Who will find glory, fame and fortune (and make more rats) all in the name of the Erat-I-KatorZ? He got leadership from someone as well....don't know who. I got to lead the bunch in round 7. I joined mid round 5. I like to think my clan has been one of the oldest and longest living in LA. We're(read I, the last remaining old members) retired though. No fancy story or anything. But I just wanted to brag a bit.

Supplier Posts: 458 Group: Game Helpers Member #7 Joined: Nov 26, 2008	Well when i first started playing i was watching someone on TV of back in the days with vikings anf such and there was this type categorized as "Vandals" so i took that name and created The Vandals which was about somewhere in round 6-7 then the name upgraded into the name Dawn of Souls which i got off the first FF games that was released and for a couple rounds ran with that name and then once again upgraded to DarkTranquility which is a melodic metal band which is like scandanavian if i believe correctly? Went a couple rounds with that name and last rounds DisIllusioned was inspire by a friend off another game who came up with that name and was, i believe a pretty awesome name so i used it =]

I've run round 15,13, and 12 CL was temporarily ran by killer101 and jawzith who I believe was our first Warlady so YEAH!!! GO JAWZITH!! (yeah I know it was shortlived) We officially adopted our Clan of Legends logo that is currently in use today during round 11 I believe. It was expertly made by the talents of Tiana since her reputation was that she was best in the business. Our offical clan colors are scarlet and gold much like the United States Marine Corp and can be seen throughout our recruiting letters and clan district page. But I first joined CL in round 11. At the time it was ran by a player going by Hercules. I quickly went up the ranks and by the end of the round I became Noble. The clan never broke the top 10 in Hercs leadership but was constantly getting better as my influence on the clan became greater, we started developing a loyal crew of 5 or 6 people those who I can name off the top of my head are killer101, Jawzith, AMD, RamsesXII, Ragen and of course TheCamel. Sadly the shutdown lost us a great deal of our members but these few have been with us since I can remember and will hopefully be with us in the future. As for a long drawn out mystical story about heroes and dragons and dwarves sorry i've never been a fan about that. We're just a bunch of guys and girls who like virtually wooping your guys asses. I've tried to keep this clan on the more real world realistic (yes I know we all have lives outside LA) type atmosphere but dedicated and professional individuals is all that we take and anything else less is a waste of our time. =) Edited by Ursiruss, Jul 27 2009, 04:48 PM.

Our backstory -
