It fears people into believing that they MUST abide by these rules or they will face an eternal punishment. There is no proof that god exists. Half of the bible (in my opinion) makes no sense. It, like all other religious writings, is just a very clever piece of writing by some dudes who lived years ago.

The bible is a group of different writings chosen by 7 elder people to be placed together and was considered the word of god. And the Bible was written by men not god but gave the words that god had spoken to them. As for Jesus their are MANY proofs of his existance and mark on the world so there is no denying that he did do great in the world and he is most likely the single greatest man to walk the world and not a soul can deny that he did only good. As for proofs of the bible they have found what they beleive to be the Ark of Noah, the Tablets of Moses, and also The Writtings of the great ones in the bible Jacob, David, and Abraham. So obviously all of these occurances had to of happend giving reason to beleif that this all is true. All the Christian faith gives is to tell you to not lie, steal, cheat, and kill. But many Hystic(sp*) Jews still follow the old book of law that many Pharisees had created to give even more rules to life(stupid things like a man can not even shake hands with a woman after marriage). And related to these Jesus was here to tell them that they were all wrong for abusing their faith. You can not judge something that you haven't read and you can not deny what has actually been shown to you. Either way it may be you will find god if your chosen to.

People always try to link things to astrology. Take horoscopes for example. They use astrology to try and predict future. They only only use general descriptions on their predictions. Religion is just one more thing they try to disprove to get their names in the spotlight. The bible is written and has had some aspects of it proved. It is a good base for Christianity to build on. All you have to argue with is some little hope and dreams about the stars. Haven't you ever wondered how this world came to be? If you believe in evolution, then where do you think the first piece of matter came from? If you believe in that collision of matter that formed the earth (can't think of that proper name right now), where did the matter come from? Regardless of what religion, How do better explain the fact that matter exists? Some creator, or God, had to have made something. Faith is keyword. If you don't believe in God, then how do explain how a lot things?
