Well here's the character thread. Now remember that you can only be a god/goddess of one domain. And you have to choose your side, Old or New. Simply put, this is a PvP RP, and you need to state what side you're on. Also state whether your god/goddess is good or evil. You'll still be allied with your class of god, Old or New, but you have alliances within alliances. I'm thinking of adding an NPC to serve as a message carrier. Maybe. Anyway, post your characters here. You're going to need my approval before you can actually play however. Once I get the thread up of course. |

It's not dead. We're just waiting for Chrome to post an example character. Although I might just post a character and hope it works. |

lols double post. But here's a very simple example of the type of character I'd like. I might also use this as simple way for the old gods to communicate with each other. Those that are players of course. Name: Aeron Alliance: Old Domain: Wind/messages. Personality: Aeron has what could be called an eccentric personality for an old god, what would be a jokester god. What he lacks in overall power, he makes up in jokes and attitude. He’s the overall carefree guy. This causes his fellow gods to see him as more of a nuisance than an asset. Role: Aeron is a messenger god. He is almost like a telephone. He allows his services to the old gods as a way to communicate with each other over long distances. All that is needed is a wind where the god is, even a slight breeze will do, and he can arrive instantaneously to receive the message, and will pass it on as soon as he is able. Appearance: Aeron, when assuming his role as messenger, does not have a physical form, instead, dust appears in a silhouette of what he would look like, though his voice and presence are obvious. When he assumes a human form, he chooses to take on the guise of a young blond man of slim build and presence, often found in pubs. |

All right, well here’s my character. Sorry if it’s overpowered Name: Albadon (subject to change) Alliance: Old Domain: Chaos Role: Albadon is the lord of chaos, Patron lord of the insane and the visionary, of beginnings and endings and of random events that shape our world. He exists on a simple principle; All order is born from chaos and all order shall be consumed by chaos. He encourages visionaries to go out and lead their people to a better tomorrow, but gives each a different message. He empowers the greedy and the insane to corrupt the once noble ideals, leading to infighting over who is right and who is just in it for power. He gives voice to the masses to lead a rebellion against a corrupt establishment of power, causing anarchy and bloodshed that bequeaths a glorious utopia to rise from the ashes. Then he causes a series of small, almost microscopic events to occur that causes a nearby volcano to explode and a plague to move in to completely destroy the utopia. In essence he is essentially the random unpredictable events that shape our everyday world and give it some semblance of order. He's not a popular god... Personality: Albadon is insane but not stupid. He is capable of forming complex plans to get what he wants. Of course what he wants could either be get a soda or completely conquer the world, and his end goal often changes midplan. Though essentially evil he is not a total ass, he generally tries to help his worshippers and allies. Of course his idea of helping is a little...off. For example say one of his followers is being bullied. He would either cause the bullies parents brakes to fail while the bullies are all going to the zoo or something and crash into a train, killing them all instantly or he would make the car hit the follower, putting the follower in the hospital but making the bullies regret everything they have ever done to said follower. But yeah, to sum it up he is insane and a Appearance: Albadon usually appears as a tall figure wrapped in tattered reddish black robes with large black wings, his face completely obscured by shadows with only his glowing colour changing eye(s) peering out (and even then only randomly). In his clawed hands he usually carries an ornate black scythe with a simplistic bastard sword hanging loosely from a belt at his waist. He took this form mostly to mooch off the popularity of the much more popular Gods of Death. ![]() (yes I know, king in yellow, picked it cause it fits) ![]() Here he is without wings riding a horse he called Blinky in a hurricane singing "HERE I AM! ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE!" How is the horse flying through a hurricane? Because he's insane enough to believe it is possible (He realized it was impossible at 50,000 feet and the rest was history). When trying to hide he appears as a tall human male in a hoodie with (you guessed it) his face obscured in shadow. ![]() His "true" form is a constantly changing mass of limbs, eyes, mouths, tentacles and well pretty much anything you can (and can not) imagine. It’s generally bad for people’s sanity when they see him in this form. ![]() Powers: *Misc* Chaos Theory: Albadon as the lord of chaos can manipulate events to serve his purpose. Wether it is simply knocking a bullet slightly off course with a sudden gust of wind or causing a mix up in munition orders causing normal war heads to be replaced with its nuclear variant. Though he can not directly bend reality to serve his will the little things he uses to engineer the most grandiose of his plans gives many the impression that he can. However these manipulations do not directly affect Gods, so he can not make gods suddenly get a heart attack or commit suicide or anything. Nor can he predict the future, leaving much of this power to be done on the fly. However he can cause a car to hit said God (or attemp to atleast) by giving the driver a heart attack and locking the steering wheel in a specific position. Reflect my Will: Albadon can cause nearly any mortal thing or mortal structure to be corrupted by his influance. The Results are not ![]() pretty ![]() in the slightest ![]() All these changes are totally under the control of Albadon for the rest of their incredibly short lives, existing only on his will as they are at this point. Summon Retinue: Albadon as a god who uses others to accomplish his goals has created avatars of himself to ensure his will is followed. Though few in number these "angels" are super strong and are capable of flight. However they are mortal (they are really slain faithful whose corpses have been reanimated and completly corrupted to Albadons will) and not nearly as powerful as even the weakest god, being basically super strong and super fast animated corpses that fly. They often are equiped with swords, halbreds or some other type of melee weapon but some now use Guns. They look like Albadon but wear medival armour (this allows him to disappear amongst them when he wants to escape quickly). ![]() *Offensive* Corrupt: Albadon can make nearly any normal thing corrupt to his influance. Though this can make things he needs (IE swords from pipes, but the blade seems to be made of a metal that is tearing its self apart and in horrible agony) he often uses it on his enemies, causing even inanimate objects to become twisted fiends that attack his foes. Chaos energy: an attack that causes the very atomic structure of a target to behave chaotically. This can cause targets to turn to dust, mutate into a puddle of twitching goo or explode in a small blast of nuclear fire. Albadon has several variants of this attack. Chain chaos: Basically he shoots out an arking blast of chaos energy. Weakest one of all it only causes burns and severe pain, though prolonged exposure can kill someone. Only plus is that it can hit multiple targets and is suprising accurate and controlable. Balls of Chaos: energy ball shot from hand, makes things go boom with the same force as a grenade or turn to dust. Easily dodged. Living Weapon: Albadon can make his limbs become simplistic weapons, ie blades, stabbing tools, extendo tentacles and bludgeoning devices. Last resort as Albadon perfers sitting back and letting others do his work for him. *Defensive* I can Fly: He can fly. Chaos sheild: basically an aura that causes things to hit it to either be corrupted or turned to dust. Can't be held up forever, doesn't exactly resist stuff caused by other Gods. Screw you guys, Im going home: when things get to hairy he'll teleport where ever chaos is truimphing. Unfortunaly since chaos is such a loosly defined term this often puts him in the last place he wants to be (ie where ever plot is happening). WORK IN PROGRESS. Anything may be changed as Chrome sees fit, also. NEED CHARACTER TO BE APPROVED. ![]() Name: Athon Grayshield Age: 3,214 Alignment [color]: Chaotic Good Birthday: November 23rd, 1205 B.C. Alliance: Old Domain: Smithing Domain Gift(s){Abilites}: Basic Info: As the god of modern day Smithing, Athon can essentially make whatever he wants out of any metal. The flip side to this, is there MUST be a flame present. In light of this, he normally carries around multiple lighters with him(crafted from incredibly solid, though not unbreakable, metal). Should he run out of lighters, he would only be able to use what was already crafted by him, until he can find more flame. He cannot use anything else that has been crafted by a god, such as if a god of metal crafted a car, he would be unable to use anything from it. This also works the other way around, though; Anything he, the god of Smithing has created, will not be usable by any gods(Usable as in able to change it; something like a knife would still be wieldable.) Despite being Old Alliance, he naturally has an interest in all things created, such as modern day vehicles, and whatnot. Flying: This god cannot fly. To replace this, he has crafted a sort of "jet boots", although its more of an explosion then a jet. The first initial blast will launch him five feet in the air, then will be able to keep him airborne for a total of forty seconds. After that, they must have a three second cool down before they can get moving again. They are fueled by the god's own energy. Transportation: Grayshield normally uses a simple, gray motorbike for transportation. It has been fitted out with a few modifications... AKA, a machine gun. Apart from that, it is nothing short of a normal bullet bike. If he is not using said bike, he is either traveling in public transportation, with his boots, or simply walking. Combat: The Smithing God's favorite tool to use is a specially crafted pistol, and his unique single handed sword, Rainfire. Otherwise, he will improvise, and do something such as ripping apart the nearest object, lighting it aflame, then hurling it at his enemy. Or beating them with it. Whatever works. (Such as most gods, Grayshield is more physically powerful then humans, and can take a beating; more so then some other gods, though not nearly as much as others can.) As for what else he does in combat, its main improvising. BroadBrim(Pistol): A Steampunk style pistol, it fires pure energy bullets, taken either right out of the god's body if the clips run out, or from the clips itself, which are basically superheated electricity. Yeah, they're a bitch to get. (The clip slides out, just above the trigger. Each clip contains five shots, and is easy to reload) The gun, such as his lighters, and basically indestructible, though not quite. They >ALL ARE WEAK TO FIRE<. Rainfire(Sword): The material of the sword is the same as all of the other of Grayshield's creations. Its strange desire is oddly flowing, and the sword is lightweight, and sharp. It's ability to slice through many things makes it an invaluable tool to Athon. Other: Due to the whole smithing thing, as long as he has a flame, can manipulate it to whatever means. Throw some fire at you, set your shoe on fire, set HIS shoe on fire, or even burn your mum. Again, flame IS REQUIRED to be able to do this; putting Athon at a huge disadvantage in water. Things created by Athon can also be manipulated. An example is, if he created an ax, he could throw it at you, then say you smashed it to bits; he could easily reassemble it nearly instantly, and have it continuously fly at you(For the repairing of it, as usual, flame is needed. Not all objects can be manipulated indefinitely; the larger it is, the harder it is to move for X amount of time. Role: The role of Grayshield is essentially search and destroy. When he finds a target, he goes to the utmost lengths to destroy them, risking any that could be caught in the battle. His hotheadedness and speed make an odd mix with his attacks. Athon also assists in the creation of weapons and transportation to fuel the Old Alliance, for those who can't fly, of course. Or don't have jets. Appearance: Black hair with red tips, his hair isn't too long, but isn't short. You can't really call it short, but you can't call it long. Length goes down to about the mouth, or so, in a nice looking, hanging down just in his eyes, barely. Piercing Violet colored eyes, and 5 11'. Normally wears black fingerless gloves, jeans, no-tie sip on shoes with red and white checkered pattern, a normal T-Shirt, and a black slimfit hoodie. This can often be exchanged for a long, black trench coat, a vest, or something similar. He is has a tattoo of a hammer and anvil on his left wrist, and usually wears a wrist band with it, a watch,(both right arm), a necklace, or all three. Light build, appearing the age of nineteen, give or take a few years. Occasionally wears a cadet style hat, either plain gray, or white. Personality: Though he is quick in a fight, Athon is also a hothead, and usually shoots first then asks questions later. This has caused him to occasionally be more trouble then he is worth, but he occasionally makes the good fight, and proves his worth. Besides, who else is going to build all the Old Alliance's sweet cars? Athon has a addiction to exploding things, jumping off high places, and happily ripping apart someone's car in public, for his own needs. He may have also accidentally been pushed into a general store, and maybe accidentally snagged a few Sodas before going back to fight his enemy. In other-words, he loves soda. Though he can be cruel at times, Grayshield is overall a pretty nice guy. He avoids trying to smash a citizen when falling, or in a fight, but won't usually loose sleep over it if he did. He normally doesn't really care about things, and is mildly antisocial. When meeting someone new, he usually says little to nothing until he knows them better. Then, once you get to know him, he becomes an annoying spam box. Though a little out of the box, Athon is not quite insane. He just thinks its fun to talk to the things he builds, or talk to himself when no one is around. When he drinks too much soda, though, many will question his sanity. Rest assured, he doesn't hear voices in his head. Yet. Keeping his allies alive is something he stresses greatly, and if an ally goes down in a fight, he'd be willing to leave with them, rather then ending the fight. Depending on the situation, of course. His pass times are watching TV, reading a book, doing something on the Internet, video games, cooking, and riding around on his bike. Oh, and fighting the Old Alliance, of course. Other: Athon lives in the penthouse in the hotel "Groping Electronics", started by him. It has a large entry/living room with a full glass wall allowing a view of the city, a large bathroom, a balcony around the 20 story building in Denver, Colorado, a bedroom, a walk in closet filled with his jackets and hoodies(He has a ton of them.), a huge kitchen that is opened to his living room, and a few rooms that are either filled with his creations, or completely empty. Name: Thanatos Alliance: New Domain: Pain/Emotions that imply violence Personality: Basically, what you got with Thanatos is a sadistic bastard who hates almost everyone else. He is rude, crude, and an overall pain in the ass. Role: His role is when the other gods are pissed at mortals, cause said mortals pain. Or when the others are in need of starting war he uses humans emotions to start war of simple things. Appearance: When he takes a corpereal form he is about 6' 1" he has red-tinted yellow eyes, military cut hair and is well muscled. His non-corpereal form is a like a black mist, but is actually just energy. Powers You should have left me be: causes great pain, so much that it incapacitates, but not enough to knock unconsious Feel that?: Causes enough instant pain to force anything living to shut down. (They die) Now you know how I feel: Whatever he is targeting feels intense rage and hate at whatever he wishes it/them to. Basically they attack whatever he makes them. You had to have felt that one: a jolt of pain that is strong enough to even severly hurt other gods. (temoprary of course) Has a bit of a backlash, which results in infrequent use. I never did anything to you: Removes all anger, rage, hatred, and other violent emotions concerning any subject he chooses, (usually himself after pissing of several other gods) and suppresses any capabilities of violence toward the subject. You get used to it: He can take quite a beating before going down I'm a god you retard, I'm stronger than you are: He is much stronger than a human Other info Has spent several centuries learning all manner of combat (martial arts, melee combat, marksmanship, etc...) Always has his custom made Katana with him. His Katana is unbreakable and is coated with liquid fire. Always wears body armor. Body armor is immune to all human weapondry and a good bit of nonhuman weapondry as well. Always has Glock .45 with incendiary rounds. Is this good for a character? Reason he is new even though he is not tech based is that human ways of causing pain have evolved with them. He came to be with more recent causes of pain. Edited by Cyphon, Aug 2 2009, 08:03 PM.

Name: The Architect. Has no true spoken name (prefers to think and speak in shapes and colors). Alliance: New Moral Affiliation (good/evil): None; makes decisions based on logic, not emotion. Understands the concept of morality, but does not employ it. Domain: Spacial geometry Gender: None, usually referred to as male for convenience's sake by human beings. Personality: The Architect has a limited personality. He/it is not a human entity, or even connected to humanity, so does not think like a human being. Instead, his mind is based around logic. Because he exists on many planes of being, he can follow and understand several different forms of logic, but does not think using morality. He is obsessed with structure and order, and hates creating chaos unless it somehow helps to build at the same time. He can throw things into utter chaos by removing geometric structure completely, but this causes him to lose control over the object/region of space. It is only used when no other options are available. He also has an incredible obsession with balance and symmetry; this often impairs his choices, and he always tries to keep everything both balanced and symmetrical; structured. He can appear to think as a person, but this is all an act, with his every move thought out. He is cold and focused when speaking, and can think about many things at once. His own mind is strange and alien, and his traditional "language" is composed of shapes, textures, lights, and colors; this is also how he thinks, if it can even be called thinking. Role: The Architect is the personification of all spacial geometry. He has existed as long as any form of space has been in existence, and affects more than just our universe. Only recently has he become involved with humanity, ever since abstract, non-Euclidian geometry has become a subject of study on Earth. He is usually unaffiliated with other "gods", and does not consider himself one of them. But in this war, he considers himself a New god, because humanity has only recently begun thinking of geometry in an advanced form. Powers: He has the power to distort space in strange and unimaginable ways, and can work on many dimensions of space. Many of his actions are unrecognizable by human beings, because they are simply beyond the reach of the human mind. Because space and time are linked, he can, to a certain extent, manipulate time, but only by doing the same to space. Time is often altered accidentally as a result of the control of space. He can disconnect space and time, but in this state he must construct another dimension to replace it; this can be very difficult, and often means that space must be contorted far more than usually necessary. By contorting things into forms that are impossible in this universe, he can destroy a person's sanity simply by showing them these impossible shapes. Gods are not always affected the same way. Appearance: The Architect only has a physical appearance when he deems it necessary. In this case, he prefers to shape himself as a geometric shape, usually one that is physically plausible when speaking with allies; when speaking with enemies or someone he wishes to intimidate, he will choose an illogical, abstract form. His favorite "possible" shapes to become are a giant cylinder or a Penrose triangle (yes, I know that the Penrose triangle is not a plausible shape. But it is not beyond human comprehension.) When forced to take a human form, his appearance varies. Because of his fascination with order and perfection, he typically chooses a "perfect" human shape--a perfectly balanced, symmetrical person, either male or female. In fact, it is almost an idealist's human image, like those used in propaganda, or in ancient Greek or Roman sculptures that portrayed "larger-than-life" people. His is able to perfectly imitate human motion, but he retains a rather inhuman personality and way of speaking. Edited by Themistocles, Aug 11 2009, 08:14 PM.
