Hi, I'm making an RP. For those of you who don't know, (Everyone but Them) I have a start to a book that I'm writhing called Forge. Its a violent story with machines, demons, psychos, and much more stuff. This is based off of that book. If you want in, you can be in. This full of violence, treachery and mental torture. Rules Listen to GodMod Don't try and kill each other (unless you really can't control yourself or are on the other side) When you make a character just remember these things -they are human -you can side with Forge, the resistance fighters, or freelance -you don't put in your starting equipment then you don't get any equipment -you don't start with your equipment, you aquire most of it during the first sequence/mission -I want to know your basic physical capabilities (Them, remember within human bounds. Invisible.) -you will want a low caliber side arm or knife or both, as they are the only things you can start with I am adding little bonus things to start with Drug Dealer- you got contacts worldwide and can get nearly any info Crime Lord- you got enforcers Experiment- you got a AI contected to your brain and nerveous system and a metal skeleton connected to your bones. You are a cyborg pretty much, but with no mechanical parts showing. The AI can create sub-programs that control robots which are abundent in this RP albeit in poor repair. You don't have to do that if you don't want to though. And the AI cannot go insane without major outside stimulus which only one person can create. That person is my character from ImmortalBlades RP The Beginning is the End, named Blood. If they do go insane you are safe, they cannot take control of the body and won't have the robots attack you because if you die, they die, but if you're in a mech suit and they take over, they are in control of everything but your mouth and so you need help to regain control (EMP, electriacal surge, short curcuit, destroying the suit anything) Oh and don't worry about the thing with lossing control. I'll only do that if you piss me off mucho. I had to have a flaw because you can control unlimited robots using the sub-programs controlled by your AI, which is in turn controlled by you. Police Chief- you got info on many things and you can put out warrents for arrest Marine- you are allowed to start with assualt weapons Demon Heritage- way back in your family tree you had demon ancestors and can speak with demons Druggie- you feel no pain (too much pain and any character is automatically incapacitated so this is to prevent that) Heres something from the first section of the first sequence "All soldiers get up here we got...(Explosion sound)." The radio sends out static noise . The ground shakes underneath (Restiance fighter character) feet. The commander motions to (samecharacter) "round up the men and go up top." Then a explosion from the hallway sends a piece of metal through the commander's spine If you have any questions PM me or email me at Soulhunter6678@gmail.com you're more likely to get a response by email Don't post characters here post them in character creation thread. If you can tell me which movie has a gun called sword then you get two bonuses. PM me so everybody has a chance. I know the answer so no arguing. I've decided to give you a little background on Forge Forge is about the ongoing war for control of a planet very similar to mercury. For simplicities sake I'm not changing any species names, and the type of people are similar just adapted for a very diffrent livestyle and necessary conditions. All species are exactly the same, I'm not changing that, don't have the patience. Here's a bit of their history. -they have evolved over a short period of time and are nearing the capability of intersolar-system travel. -They have been fighting for centuries over rare locations on the planet that provide a rare type of stablized anti-matter that a gram of can provide enough energy to power to ships, weapons, and citizens for decades. -Forge is a tyrannical government that wants all the power for itself. -The resistance leader is also a former captain in the Forge military. -Many centuries of hatred have led to deep evils and terrible experiments. First Update: Since we have no resitance members I'm changing the start. The King stands in low valley stranded with only his knife, a lighter, and twenty cigars. Off in the distance he sees an exit to the valley, but knows that it is blocked by the ones who trapped him here. Someone from his last sale decided to betray him, and he had taken a bullet. He staggers in the direction of the exit anyhow. Somehow, possibly due to the intense heat or blood loss, he loses his bearings and moves off into a shaded side canyon. But he is not alone. Up above him Escher looks down at the man hurt in the lower section of the canyon. He knows who he is. He delivered the most recent weapons drop. However, as they arrived at the drop, the resistance ambushed them, and the dealer. Now only equiped with his knife he stands. He knows that the weapons drop is within 2 miles of this canyon. However, he was unable to memorize its location from here as he escaped. Chances are it is near the only exit, as they entered this section of the valley from there as they escaped. While examining the surrounding area he notices several downed Forge scout robots. As he ponders these things, a patrol of Resistance soldiers moves in. Poorly armed, only with .22 pistols, and each with less than 20 rounds. They cannot fund their troops well enough to supply weapons and so must be after the weapons sale. They move with poor formation, walking right next to a stretch of bushes. They don't even have a rear guard. 6 miles away, in front of a computer screen sits a high ranked Forge officer. On camrea he watches the officer and dealer. He stands and makes the order. All Forge troops pull out form the area. Escher and The King are on their own. Sorry this is so short and quickly done. I need to do something else right now, but wanted to start this anyway. If you still want to join and haven't you can. Here is your map. you are to the right of the waterfall mark http://www.summitpost.org/images/medium/341445.JPG. All entrences other than the one by the waterfall mark are blocked by natural means. Updating for my character to start Hassir stands, still watching the men on his screen he turns and walks to the garage. He calls his driver to him and they both enter an old hummer. He left most of his equipment inside the command center, short of his knife of course. The last thing he needed was for the resistance to figure out he was from Forge, and with those weapons, it would be easy to do so. They drive out to a ridge, a very familiar ridge. Down below them are two men, one of whom is being tested by Forge. The other was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Farther down the ridge a group of 4 poorly armed resistance soldiers catches his eye. A perfect target, they would provide him with the low quality weapons and the uniform he would need. The resistance patrol moves forward towards the King's position, unknowing of any threat. Their target is not the arms dealer, but the Forge officer. They sight a figure higher up on the ridge and move faster along the hedged path. They are now 100 meters from the King on the other side of the hedge, and 350 meters from Escher with only a small rocky outcropping for cover. They have yet to spot Hassir on the upper section of the ridge. The driver for Hassir moves back to the hummer and takes out a .22 rifle from the rear section of the vehicle and moves far forward, to about 200 meters in front of the approaching patrol. He will not shot them however, he is just a little assurance against high ranking Forge officers giving information to the enemy. IC: Hassir moves down the ridge, comeing near Escher. When he is twenty meters behind him he lowers himself to the ground and takes cover behind some foliage. He watches the scene unfolding below him through gaps in his bush. |

A radio falls with the 4 dead men. This radio is on, informing the whole resistance command that the patrol is down. All small patrols are called in to defend the canyon enterance. The driver for the Forge officer drops to the canyon floor and moves to the hummer. A countdown in the hummer reaches 10. 10 seconds to detonation. IC: Hassir moves to the driver. He greets him and suddenly slashes his throat, grabbing the rifle from his hands. Then the hummer explodes. He grabs the ammo (185 rounds of .22 ammo) for the rifle and walks down to Escher. He drags him down to the lower canyon section. Along the path is the King. "You, weapons dealer, stay there for a moment. Would you consider joining forces until we have exited the premisise. |

"One of your more recent deliveries was sent to us. I am a Forge officer. Is that satisfactory for your introductions." OOC: I'm was waiting to give Them the chance to update. He is now awake and on the ground. He has to at least introduce himself or provide ideas. Here is a short update. Escher, The King, and Hassir all looked out over the exit. The resistance had set up a block, consisting of two machine turrets and barracades, manned by about 20 soldiers. Their was a tower that was very close to an outcropping that looks climbable. The resitsance only has one man up there. Eight more are standing in the central area, six protecting the turrets, and five at the blockade. Inside one of the buildings is a man, a mercenary. The resistance didn't have the money to hire him. His jailor spoke to him, as they were imprisoning him until he agreed to work for them. "Look, Chris, if you help us we'll set you free." With this offer the jailor leans back in his chair, ill-prepared for anything that may happen. (Chris is Pyro) By the wall is a nice M-16. It was taken from Chris when he arrived. They had, being the untrained recruits they are, forgotten to search him, and so he still had his armor. Edited by Cyphon, Jun 21 2009, 08:21 PM.

you captured me, imprisoned me, and you're not even paying me anything, but you want me to help you? i'm sorry, but this doesn't make sense. chris pulls out a dictionary ( i know i didn't say i had one, but can i just use it this once?) flips to mercenary, and reads "Mercenary: fights for money". "you're going to have to offer me something more, cupcake. until, then, i'm just going to chill here." Chris makes good on his words, and leans against the wall next to the cell door, appearing to relax. he is actually very tense, ready to take the oppotunity to get out and get his gun or take a hostage as soon as possible. ooc-- how far away from the bars is my gun? Escher analyzed the situation with doubt in his mind. This facility, built into the ancient stone of this desolate canyon, was alone, minuscule relative to this vast, empty wasteland. Yet the openness of the place meant that one of the snipers on the building's roof could easily pick him and his allies off, one by one or all at once; it was their choice, not his. He had no weapon, so he could not attack them, but he knew that they had no choice but to kill the people in the structure; they were at a dead end. Escher thought hungrily about the blood that could be spilled among their enemies in the complex, but knew that they could not do that when they were so outnumbered. His mind began to move slowly toward the thoughts of his knife, dreamy thoughts, and his fingers grasped the blade strapped to his belt. But he knew that no blood would be shed... yet. He turned to Hassir. "We need to speak to one of them, make some sort of bargain. If we run in now, we'll be torn to shreds." |

IC: "And what, Escher, shall we say. Oh hi could you let us through, we're just your enemies. I'm sure they wouldn't just kill us on the spot. No they would take us hostage and then kill us once they learn Forge doesn't pay for hostages or care enough to help them. The arms dealer might be fine, if he let them come with him and take ALL of his wares. But I doubt he would let that happen. We must consider our options before deciding. We could possibly use something like that to get in then attack, but chances are it would be unsuccessful. We should only use that as a last resort. We must consider our other options. Our longest range weapon probobly equals theirs so we may be able to take some out from a distance, but they have to much cover for this to be successful. We would have to move closer. Both ways have their risks so we better choose carefully. Arms dealer, what are your thoughts on this issue?" |

ooc-- a dictionary magically appears in chris's hand. it then magically disappears when he is done. maybe this would work for high explosives? just kidding... are there any windows here? i look outside any windows and try to determine how many people there are, and how many might come running at the sound of a gunshot. "So, cupcake, you gonna pay me? i can do any sort of job real good, but i'm a mercenary. that means you gotta pay me before i go risk my neck for a civilian who sits on his ass adn pretends to guard someone. come on, let me out of here and we can settle this one on one. or you can pay me, give me a target, and let me go on my way. it is technically illegal to kill civilians and cupcakes like you, but i'm sure Forge really doesn't care about one puny resistance fighter. in fact, they might congratulate me for killing you. what do you think of that? your killer gets a pat on the head and a good job award, and you aren't even avenged? your lives must be real pathetic..." at this point, chris shakes his head and moves to the bars opposite his gun, but casually, so the guard doesn't suspect anything. |

Chris also checks for ammo in the gun. if yes, then he grabs it and shoots the guard before even bringing it inside. if no, then he silently curses to himself, and tries to find a pointy metal bar. or even any metal bar, as long as it's not connected or it can be broken free in a few seconds.

Update: The jailors body falls backwards, making a loud noise as it collides with the floor. His torso is mostly gone after being hit unproteced by half a magazine of ammo from the M-16. Unfortunatly his radio was on so everyone in the facility knows something is going on. There is plenty of ammo for Chris's M-16. The jailor's body is lying with the foot and leg within Chris's reach. The forge officers and the arms dealer are still looking down when the rebellion troops begin to run into one of the buildings and all take up positions around it. None are left to watch the canyon for the escaped arms dealer and officer. IC: Hassir runs down to the compound and gets in front of the barracade. (On the side opposite of the enemy troops.) He makes sure his .22 is loaded and turns the corner and begins shooting the enemy in the back of the head. After three shots he returns to his cover so that they don't know where he is. Update: Inside the building only 8 soldiers remain. Half exited the building to search for the shooter. OOC: In case you haven't already guessed Hassir isn't a real character only something to move the thing along. Edited by Cyphon, Jun 26 2009, 10:09 AM.

Chris quickly takes care of the 8 guards, shooting them with semi automatic fire (single shot) at the chest. he then goes back through, still on semiautomatic, and shoots them all in the head to make sure they are dead. experience has taught him to be careful.

well, seeing as how i modified an ancient m16, i can pretty much have it do a lot of stuff. it's not stock, it's souped. therefore it has a 50 round magazine, and 4 fire select modes: safe, single, burst, and full auto. |

Update: Inside the compound one of the men stands up. He is officially dead, his brain gone, but the AI implants have taken over. The last order was to kill Chris. The thing turns and smashes him in the arm with the gun, nearly breaking it. It lacks the capacity for anything more than melee and so attempts to hit him again. Outside: 6 men are still up, one has passed out from pain, and another died from chest wounds. The surviving men rally together inside the door as another falls to Hassir's fire. |

chris sees the big bad evil guy attempting to bludgeon him with a gun. why doesn't he shoot it? he wonders. oh well, his arm was in exteme pain. the thing could kill him by breaking his neck. he moves to the back of the cell, holding the gun in his one good hand. an idea starts to form. (can he even think coherently in this state?). if the giant robot thing smashes the bars to get in, then maybe chris could escape. you don't run with your hands, after all. he attempts to shoot the guy a couple more times in the chest and head, maybe getting lucky and hitting the ai implants. |

Update: As Chris fires upon the soldier approaching him he hits a minor implant in the lower chest, which triggers an explosive destroying the implants and the body of the man they are attached to. The man falls to the floor nearly crushing Chris' foot. Outside Escher is under fire from multiple sources, forcing him to remain still and behind cover. Then Hassir moves in and fires repeatedly taking down 5 men before being eliminated himself. |

ooc--oh good. wait, arm's still broken. badness. ic-- ok, everything is dead. including bad robot thingy. thinking through the fog of pain of his broken arm, chris reaches towards the bad robot dude, takes the robot dude's gun, and fires an extra round right into it's face. he was more than a little pissed. frowning, he examined the bars, seeing if they were bent enough for him to slip through. before doing anythign else, he takes a long hard look outside adn tries to identify who's shooting. some guy jumps up, and takes a few people with him, then becomes more holes than not holes. the guards were pissed too. he knows he can't shoot very well, so he just hopes that whoevers out there can take care of themselves, and tries not to be noticed. he is still willing to shoot anyone who is in a rebel uniform (that would be extremly stupid if they did have one) that looks at him through the open door. wait. is that the guards leg? it is. chris grabs it and pulls the guard toward him, with his good hand. when he finally gets the guard next to the bars, he strip searches the guard until he can find the keys.once done (if there are keys), he unlocks the cell door, closes the room door, and takes all weapons and ammo from the resistance fighters and the guard. he then slings his m16 on his back, to conserve ammo, and covers the door with one of the resistance fighters guns. he takes off his clothes, and then takes the least bloodied fighters clothes, and swaps them out. he goes over, grabs the radio, and then arranges the body of the dead fighter he put his clothes on so that the man is slumped back against the wall. he turns the radio off, shoots the body about 5 times (with the rebels guns), and turns the radio back on. he goes back to covering the door from the adjacent corner, and listens to what's happening inside Edited by crazypyromaniac, Aug 11 2009, 05:50 PM.
