"What the hell am I doing? That dead lady has cameras in her eyes, and to be honest we getting nowhere with doing nothing and she's already dead."

OOC: if I seem crazy and disturbingly dark its because thats the kind story the RP is based off of.

ooc-- cyphon, what is your characters name?

ic--
Projecting Shame at (cyphon's character's name here), loida turned toward him, and yelled "What the HELL are you doing? i didn't stop them from torturing the other person just to have you come here and stick needles into her!"now talking to everyone: "Seriously, all you guys are exactly the same. all you think about is violence and revenge. personally, i am more interested in getting out of here than extracting revenge and getting stuck here forever. if you guys were to dedicate half the energy to getting out of here that you do to hurting people, then we would already be out of here. and what do you mean she's already dead? she's quite alive".

"And she's been here. So she may have seen the way to get out of the room." Felix said. He looked at the woman again, and then back at loida. "Since you seem like the most level headed person here, I'll tell you. I'm gonna try and find out if she's seen anything, and you are going to stop her if she attacks me, because I won't be able to react in time." Felix said. "I already have an idea of how to get out of here, but before that I want to make sure, those faces unsettle me enough to be cautious." Felix finished. He then turned back to the woman. "If you have any desire left to be free, you're not going to struggle, got it?" He said to the woman.

Kranford rose to his feet and headed to the pile of weapons and armor. A multi-function combat harness with a trauma suit and stealth field took his interest immediately. After donning his equipment (which included a gill mask and Multi-optic system) he checked the heap of weapons, looking for some that he'd find useful. A modified falcon .45 took his immediate interest. He looked over the weapon to see what features it held. "Hmm, extended and variable mag, a laser sight, Jacketed Hollowpoints and armor piercing rounds. This should do the trick nicely." he thought to himself as he grabbed two extra mags of ammo for his pistol. A wrist-mounted electronic hacking device finished his repertoire of goodies, and would probably suffice until he made contact with his company again.

OOC: description of Kranford's Falcon .45 can be found under the SNAFU character thread in the character entry labeled "Whisper."

OOC: Them in your update, did you mean the woman as alive or dead, she seemed dead to me. Pyro my character's name is Cyphon, I'm too lazy to come up with a name for this RP.

If she is alive
IC: "You Idealists know nothing of the real world. Have you seen what they do to the minds of their victims, these test subjects, their minds are dead, they are dead inside (This is assumed not necessarily the way it is so, yeah.) Capital doesn't care about them, they would destroy their minds to make it easier to control them. They test to make soldiers, not to help humanity." He walks over to the woman and is ready to restrain her should she attempt to cause harm.

If she is dead
IC: "What are you talking about you retards, she is very dead. You know once the heart stops beating and all the oxygen in the brain is gone. As in not living. I hold no dead woman's importance over my own, and to be honest, I have no clue what else to do."

OOC: FYI, Cyphon didn't feel any shame. At all. It violates his basic nature to feel such an emotion.

Jim once again found himself blinded. Jim quickly looked down and shielded his eyes.

When his eyes had adjusted to the sudden change in light, he noticed that he wasn't where he should be. Or rather, where he used to be. He was now in a room with 8 other people including his...friends from the strange circle. Unfortunately, Shadow was not with them. Once again, Jim reached out to her, but he couldn't find her still...

The room seemed to be a perfect cube, and one wall was a mirror. Jim found himself staring at the mirror. It was a few moments before he realized something was wrong with it. It didn't seem to be reflecting the room itself...and the voices...they were back. This time however, there were faces to go with them. Jim thought he recognized a face before he tore his gaze away. Jim reached into his pocket for his pocketwatch. It wasn't possible, he was dead.

Jim looked around the room again. A handful of feet away, there were a bunch of syringes. Jim only spared them a brief glance before he noticed the woman. She seemed wearier than the rest of the group, as if she had been here for far longer. He peered into her mind, and that there wasn't much of it left.

On the other side of the room was a pile of weapons. He noticed Cyphon was heading toward them, but didn't pay him much attention. In fact, he wasn't paying much attention to what any of them were doing. At least not until he heard the woman's voice. Jim barely heard the words, but he couldn't help but listen to her voice. It wasn't that it was a particularly beautiful voice or anything...it just seemed to hold some kind of authority. Jim shook his head, attempting to dispel whatever effect she was having.

"You say we think of nothing but revenge? While yes, that is definitely on my mind, especially after what they've done to her, but the only thing? No. Not even close. First and foremost is finding her. If I have to kill every person or creature I come across to find her, then so be it." Jim said with disdain. "Now, perhaps you would care to be productive and provide an idea of how to get out of here instead of insulting us. As to this woman, her mind has long since left her. What remains of her is nothing more than a shadow. Her mind no longer contains anything that could be useful to us."

Jim glanced back at the weapon pile, and noticed a few things that didn't really belong. He walked over and picked up a flashlight, as well as a rope. It wasn't particularly long, but perhaps it could be useful later...He also picked up two daggers. They didn't match, but that was the least of his worries. Not far away, he noticed a pistol that looked similar to the one he owned before being brought here.

He took his sunglasses off and rubbed his eyes a bit, and then replaced them.

(OOC) I recently learned that taking off and throwing sunglasses does not help when trying to make a successful intimidation check...at least not when the sunglasses are Disney sunglasses. And especially not when you happen to be wearing a tutu, cape, a mickey mouse shirt, and a wizard hat. And no, it does not matter how well you roll. Using Disney sunglasses for intimidation = fail. (btw, I was playing vampire the masquerade when I attempted this. Don't ask how/why my character was wearing the cloths he was...it's a long (and hilarious) story. OOC: It wasn't an intimidation, Felix took the glasses off because it's hard to rub your eyes when there are lenses between your eyes and fingers. He did that to make sure he was seeing correctly, it was for a little bit of comedy. Sorry if it didn't come off as such, the only intimidating thing Felix has done is openly keep holding a loaded revolver in his dominant hand.

Felix kept his eyes on the woman he was now standing in front of. He heard the one who had stabbed her mention that he Capital destroyed the minds of those they imprison, and another backed up the formers statement. Felix decided to respond after a couple of seconds. "Damage like that leaves marks, ones that I can follow. If she had ever seen a way to get out of this room, I'll be able to find it, regardless if she can actively recall it or not. Even if it doesn't work, I'll just use my first idea, since you two are so convinced it won't work." Felix turned around and looked at them, and then pointed his revolver at the mirror wall.

"It's a puzzle, there are two unique things in the room, the wall that is the mirror with the... zeds inside of it, and a weapon pile. Now why would they give us weapons? If the mirror shows dead people, then there must be something to that as well. My idea is to destroy the mirror. There may be some other requirement to do it other than just shoot at it, but that's my best guess." Felix said and approached the wall. "Look for anyone you may recognize, that might be part of it."

Awesome to the Badass to the Chaotic Mastermind.
Poof! There it is.

Suddenly, and against all reason, the three of them - who had been in the circle - were now somewhere else, in a cube-room with a distorted mirror. Also, they had guests...and weapons. Evan further noted the blood on the walls and inwardly grimaced. He didn't like the way this was shaping out. All of it. First of all, the room itself was unpleasant and now filled with a number of unfamiliar people among the two others he now kn- Wait... No, he DID know them, in a sense. A flash of memory from the event he'd witnessed that would make even Stephen Hawking for "FUCK!".

I know these people... At least...I've seen them.

Hah, whoa. All without provocation, the distorted mirror began to play back a bit of that flash. It sort of bled out and exploded into view for a second, of people in cells. Yes, they were not their enemies but equally trapped in this maze. Maze? Where did that come from? It was accurate, though. A series of puzzles and quests, strung together to find something, right? Well, this room looked like it was designed to find blood. Evan looked at the weapons on the ground. His own weapon was among them, but he was hesitant to pick it up. Something rang false, something wasn't right.

"Any of you crazies care to explain what the hell is going on here. I'm damn tired of this shit, and somebody better have some answers."

Suddenly, Cyphon began to act, and he saw him take a weapon and do some things that Evan was now labeling impulsive and unwise. He backed a step away from the man, knowing full well that there was a killer instinct there, and limited patience. He didn't sense it. He'd observed it. This room... Oh...shit. Evan's eyes widened as he got it, or what he thought was it. Already, this room was in a panic state, so he raised a hand and shouted.

"HOLD IT!"

There was an urgency in his tone. He wanted - he needed - to be heard, and quickly.

"Maybe nobody is paying attention here, but we're in a room with weapons and bloody walls. Doesn't that say something to you? Like 'killing jar'? You've already started. Thank god you're not continuing."

If this mirror really reflected thoughts, then it was giving them all a bird's eye view of what Evan thought was going to happen next: Wild unfettered bloody combat. He was more than a little worried about this. He turned to the mirror.

"We don't need weapons for this. Weapons are useless. The blood here tells me that they'll only make us harm ourselves. This has been done before. They've tested people here before. And...I dunno what to do with this. Not yet."

There was a trick, a snap-of-the-finger release option. This place was one big curveball, but Evan didn't see it. The mirror, though... He had gazed upon infinity until his mind warped to the 12th power. He was starting to feel better, but uncomfortable, like he was deathly vulnerable. And why not? It didn't take much of a glance to realize that Kranford was experienced in killing, and that Cyphon was a tried-and-true killer. He was someone who could hold his own, but Evan knew in his heart of hearts that the mind was his safe-haven. Reason had little dominance over savage force in a room with alot of people. He had to play this carefully.

Evan put his hand on the mirror itself, trying to sense...something. Anything.

Talk to me.

OOC: I already shot it

IC: Cyphon sets his weapons on the ground. "I have no clue if you're right or not, but I"m thinking we got to show a little trust for each other and get ourselves out of this room before we'll need these weapons. So lets all just focus on getting out, and what do you mean you can find something in people's mind. Are you a telepath or something?"

OOC: Cyphon is listening because Evan got his respect by his actions in earlier sections of the plot. (his rant explaining what he thought in the stone circle)

"Yeah, I am." Felix responded, one of the other people in the room, a woman seemed to be criticizing them. Cyphon them began to take the gathered weapons and put them back on the pile, Felix handed the two revolvers to him then turned back to the tortured woman. "And as a telepath, I can search her for info. So unless anyone has any problem with me digging through broken lady's mind, I'm gonna go ahead and do that now." Felix said, and returned to what he had been doing, and stood in front of the woman. He placed his hands on her temples and closed his eyes to concentrate.

"Evan, I believe you are overlooking something in your assessment. I don't know about the rest of these people, but this isn't the first time that they have decided to change our surroundings suddenly. While the weapons aren't useful to us right now, we have no idea how long it'll be until they decide to move us around again, nor what we will face when they do. I see no harm in arming ourselves just in case, as long as we all realize that this is not the time to use them." Jim said as he gave everything he'd picked up (except the flashlight, which he pocketed) to Cyphon. "However, arguing about it will only hinder our progress. By the way...what are your names? I'm Jim, this is Evan, and this is Cyphon." Jim finishes, pointing to Evan and Cyphon as he speaks.

There was silence as Felix attempted to search the woman for some form of information. She remained limp and almost dead-looking, her eyes closed, her face still and pallid. There was a pulse, but it was slight. Reflected in the mirror, amongst all the twisted images playing across its smooth surface of glass, her body remained almost the same.

Then the stillness was broken.

In the mirror, a burst of color began to shine, rays of light, pure and concentrated, emerging from the glass. In the reflection, there were flames licking the walls and burning the faces of the people in the room. In the reflection, the woman's body was drenched in blood.

Her eyes opened. She looked up and regarded Felix, who stood before her, and her expression became one of terror. Her irises glimmered a metallic sheen of silver before returning to their original blue. Images of fire reflected in her eyes, torrents of flame leaping up in pillars. Her lips moved, and words were formed.

"Where... where are the others? Where have they gone?" She looked around, slowly, almost casually, even though there was panic flaring in her eyes. She saw the growing mass of blood where the syringe had been inserted into her arm, and her mouth opened in an expression of shock.

Her eyes closed. "The voices," she murmured, her voice barely audible, "they're back. They're back. They've come back for me. Now everything will be better... I can see their faces in the mirror. But they've left me here, and gone back."

She reached for the syringe and grasped it tightly. "Why... did you give this... to me?" she said to Cyphon. "This is for you. Your name is on the label. I've already... taken... mine.

"We're all prisoners here, you know," she said, and her voice was still quiet and wistful. "You might as well take what they give you, because they don't give you much."

Blood began to stream from her eyes as if it was tears.

Felix took his hands off of the woman's temples in shock when the blood began to stream out of her eyes, and a look of desperation came over Felix's face. "Oh God! Oh God! That's a lot of blood. Shit!" Felix said and then removed his wind breaker and jammed the sleeve against her eyes, attempting to apply pressure and stop the bleeding long enough to get something useful. He motioned towards the rest of the people in the room. "Well don't just stand there like slack-jawed idiots HELP ME! Get something better to tie around her eyes to stop the bleeding for the love of God!"

Kranford immediately tore a piece off of the old hospital gown he had long since disposed of for his armor harness and wrapped it around the bleeding woman's eyes like a bandage. His days in special ops training hadn't been mispent. Every soldier needed to know basic medical methods for tending to wounds and blood loss. He finished his bandage promptly. If only he had Chopper's medicomp with him. He'd need to take the syringes back later for analysis at the basement labs. Until then, he was nothing more than a lab rat, a supremely dangerous and well-equipped lab rat, but a lab rat nonetheless.

I have been dead in a hole, so I'll just respond from where I left off and try to make it tie in.

(IC) The lights went out, and Oslo stumbled backwards, colliding into a wall. Anyone who has taken anatomy would see that the wall impacted on a set of nerves that keep the being concious and a decent amount of memory. Oslo collapsed into a heap as everything else took place, unaware that he had been warped to a room filled with other people.

Durng this time, Oslo was having really weird dreams, caused from chemical sensors he was infused but unaware of with while he was in the Company. They went like this, and usually played at least twice in a row:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lov8PTDmiEE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXOSi39QS58&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edaJP3Lp0Gg
Indeed.

When Oslo awoke, away from everyone else in a corner, he noticed that they were in a room with 5 other people, one of which was partaking in what looked like a duel between him and the woman he had met. What was her name. Other people of note were someone who looked like a beatnik handing out revolvers and a pale man with a fierce black dog.

"Uh, before we decide to partake in Russian Roulette, who the hell are you people?"

"Call me Kranford," said the hitman as he rose up from his impromptu medical job. It wasn't the best bandage in the world, but it would do just fine for now. "I actually suspect we'll need her eyes if we're to get out of this place." he spoke, pointing at the bandaged woman. "I could be wrong," he continued, "but if I am, it probably won't put us in any worse of a bind than the one we're already in."

Upon finishing, Kranford finally saw what he was looking for in the weapons pile: a seemingly innocent shaving razor, which had obviously been sharpened to a mono-filament edge (basically the blade's edge is sharp on a molecular scale). Not only was its cutting power unrivaled up close, it had been balanced to allow for throwing. He put the razor in its case, promptly attaching the case to one of the hooks on his armor.

"Anybody else care to introduce themselves?" he asked as he turned to face the group.

Felix listened as a couple of the others introduced themselves. The one who had helped bandage the woman named himself as Kranford. "Well then thank you Kranford, now then to move you-" Felix said as he got his hands under the woman's arm pits and dragged her over towards the wall. He propped her up in a sitting position, and then returned to where he was before to find his revolvers. He holstered them and then returned to the weapon pile, and looked through it once more, and found the crowbar that he had missed before. He then returned to the woman and crouched down in front of her. "Come on, we need your help to get out of here, I understand that you're probably scared, but we're-" Felix looked around at the group, "Well some of us are trying to help you. OOC: Now that this RP is moving at a much faster pace, I have decided that, because of the constantly-changing situation in the RP, I need to update more often. But not always big updates. I will post a lot of little updates just to keep up with what the characters are doing. I will just add brief bits about how the world reacts to what you're doing.

I will still post longer updates every two or three days. The smaller ones will come whenever I feel they are needed.

This update here is for FalloutJack's character. I'm not god-modding; if you look at his last post, you'll see that he went off by himself to the mirror and tried to communicate with it.

IC: Evan was off by himself, alone. Once again, he found himself attempting to communicate with a strange object that should have been--should have been but wasn't--inanimate.

Talk to me, his mind projected to the mirror.

The mirror's surface began to change, creating a whirlwind of light of all frequencies, transitioning from one color to another. Everyone else was distracted; they did not notice. The mirror was communicating with Evan, and no one else.

Faces appeared in the mirror, but this time they were the faces of the people in the room. They were not reflections, for they all made it seem that there were people standing next to Evan... but there were none. Their hands reached out to touch him, passing through the mirror.

Lights shone in steady beams through the glass, but they no longer had colors he recognized; instead, the lights had colors without name, colors mankind was not meant to see. And the colors, Evan saw, were alive; they were conscious, and they were beautiful in a way nothing else in man's sheltered worldview could ever be.

A great city stretched before Evan on the other side of the mirror, a city made up of great structures of iron and glass. Ancient structures, and the structures were machines and the machines were structures, stationary, unmoving. Not built by human hands. This was the City where the Capital had built its center, but the Capital did not build the true City, the one that stood behind all mankind's accomplishments.

The City was alive.

It beckoned Evan forth. The unnatural colors that played across the spectacle did not care for humanity; they had descended from the abyss of space to watch, not to interfere. The lights were older than time. But the City was ancient too.

Come, it whispered to him. Come and see what we have to offer.

Awesome to the Badass to the Chaotic Mastermind.
Evan had heard Jim quite clearly and more or less waved his talk off with a nod in agreement. He'd already done his humanitarian bit and gotten people to stop trying to kill each other. Things were more than a little creepy around here, especially with a prosthetic-eye girl with blood coming from her eyes. Oh yeah. Creepy... Oh, but it was about to get creepier. Much more so. 'Talk to me', he'd said to it, in his mind. How foolish.

The lights that suddenly appeared were so surprising that Evan was stunned into just watching, for the moment. He knew this mirror wasn't 'right', but he didn't know it could do that. Suddenly, it was as though the mirror had taken on a few extra dimensions and was like... Like a portal! Yes, like the infinite portals that he'd seen! Only, the people that were appearing from it and reaching out to him were the same as the people in the room. Doubles, copies, reproductions... And the colors, the colors that he saw were bringing about some very mixed feelings.

The first feeling was a sort of incredible awe and wonder.

The second one was a decided 'Oh no, not again!'.

Because he recognized these kinds of things now. It leapt up and made a connection to some of his earlier insanity-views via the archways. That nugget of joy still lodged in his brain like cancer, he couldn't help but be somewhat worried, even when he saw...the city. It was a city with a city built into it, you could say, like ruins built upon ruins and ancient mystery. And then...the visions of the people in the room that weren't the people in the room...spoke to him.

Come and see what we have to offer.

Now, the funny thing was that the words were all mental, but he perceived them as spoken, so he spoke aloud. And since other people were sort of missing this, he would look like he was talking to himself.

"I dunno where this is, or how... Is this another portal? The last one didn't work out the way I planned. And I need to know where I am before I know where I'm going. The journey of a single step...should not be taken lightly."

Dying to know how the others react.

Cyphon jerks his head in Evan's direction. He runs over by him "What portal, the mirror? That's a portal, where does it go? Come on then, anywhere is better than here." Cyphon however waits to see what Evan does.

You know you want to join us, the people in the mirror said to Evan. You know you want to see what we have to offer you.

The people in the mirror suddenly seemed to fade into the brilliant vista of the City. The City was not in daylight anymore; now it was in shadow and darkness, the metal of the buildings made completely black. The lights of a thousand fires glimmered and shone, casting an orange glow over the skyline. Across the black sky, a plethora of incredible lights streaked the sky's abyss, lights in strange colors, nameless colors... alien colors.

Now the people reflected in the mirror became insubstantial. They were shadows, nothing more; they were not speaking to Evan. Instead, it was the City. The City was speaking to him through the people reflected in the mirror.

The City was alive.

You already know what lies here, Evan, the City said to him in his thoughts. Its voice was ancient, impossibly so, and magnified even as it rasped and grated with the sound of metal streaking across metal. You already know in your heart who we are, what we are... Don't you, Evan? Don't you...

Evan gazed into the ancient City through the glass before him, the glass that now seemed like nothing but a window into the abyss.

And the City gazed back.

HOME DEPOT MAN!!!
(OOC) Yeah, I'm gonna be lost for a little while
(IC) Oslo looked at the group, he could already tell he was going to forget the names.
This was how he tried to compensate:
"Okay, I won't be able to remember this"
Looking to Cyphon, "Alright, you're guy 1, but for now since I know it I will call you Cyphon since I remember it now".
Looking to the woman (Pyro), "I saved you, so you can't be a bitch to me, I'll call you person 2."
"I already know you're Kranford, that stuck".
(To Mike's character), "I know you're Russian, so I'm going to call you the White Russian until I remember yours."
"There's no way in hell I will be able to forget the name Jim, that's just stupid."
He then turned to look at everyone in full, "For those who don't know me, my name is Oslo Thistes. I have the worst fucking hangover in the universe. Can someone now tell me what's going on?"

"Well, as you can clearly see, we are trying to throw a party. Unfortunately, someone," Jim glares at Cyphon, "decided to bring guns and knives instead of beer and hookers. At least he remembered the drugs though." Jim points at the syringes.

"So instead, we decided it would be more fun to try to find a way out of...wherever it is we are. Oh...and Evan, being an anti-social prick, has decided to talk to a messed up mirror instead of us. Seriously, where have you been? Now, unless you have more stupid questions, I'm going to go see if Evan has managed to discover anything in his, uh, talk with the mirror. As for my name...yeah, I know, what unoriginal bastard would name their 'son' Jim?" (OOC: especially when they themselves go by the much cooler names Masau, Alasdair, and Bob)

Jim walks over to Evan. "Has the, uh, mirror told you anything yet? Particularly about Shadow...or how to get out...or even why we are here...or anything else that might be nice to know?"

This fight between you two (Cyphon and Pyro) ends. Now.

If you were doing this for some other in the RP, I wouldn't mind. But getting mad at each other for how you're acting as players in the RP is unacceptable. You're getting mad about nothing and ruining the RP for everyone else. Both of you.

Here's how we'll solve this:

Everyone, respect what Pyro's character says, at least some of the time. Pyro's part of the RP too.

Pyro, I really don't like the way you handled that. You retaliated with the intention of screwing everything up. I don't like that. You should keep your character--she's a good counterbalance to the others--but that was completely uncalled for.

And Cyphon, I don't want to see you swearing your ass off at other people in the RP just cause you're pissed. I'm going to solve the situation for you, but don't retaliate so angrily to what Pyro says.

I understand why both of you are upset, and I know you're both angry. But I need you to stop. For now, we're going to ignore those last two posts. Unless something is decided to the contrary, I will have a mod (probably either Masau or Kranford) delete the two posts. After that, I want both of you to respect each other. You're both acting like children.

If you--any of you--continue to act in such a spiteful and immature manner, there will be consequences.

I don't care if it gets you out of there or not. What matters is that you were trying to screw up the RP for everyone else because you were mad. I'm not exactly happy about that.

The other thing: what do you mean, "nothing else worked"? You didn't actually "try" anything else. All you've "tried" is to yell at people and have them yell at you. You're all fighting. That's not going to solve your problems. I'm not giving you your solution on a silver platter.

OOC: three things.

1) Sorry pyro. I acted out of line, I get very angry very fast sometimes
2) I don't think the syringes are the best of ideas, they seem to be what caused that lady to go insane.
3) I'm calling your character bitch lady because thats my characters personality. Your charcter started off with Cyphon very poorly and he doesn't have a great personality and forgiveness isn't in his nature, so you'll have to actually do something in the RP to change that unless Them says otherwise.

IC: Cyphon walks over to the lady with camera eyes and Felix. "Any luck with trying to find a way out from her mind?" He doesn't wait for a response, but instead walks over to one of the walls and begins to shoot it. Deciding that he has no idea on what to do he cuts a target into the wall, then steps to his pistols maximum range and begins to practice his aim. However, for a moment he has a muscle spasm and one of his shots hits one of the syringes, spilling its contents everywhere. "Fuck, oh god," He runs over and begins to attempt to keep it from spreading using some more cloth from his clothing.

OOC: I couldn't decide on what to do so thats it.

if you think i am continuing , i'm not, loida's reacting based on his other posts.

back in character

"so, this thing is a portal. any idea where it takes us?" she asks evan. "if necessary, i can boost your strength."

ooc: loida figured out that she can send some of her energy to others, both physical and mental. this was when she was trying to save her village form the evil headsman.

OOC: Thank you both for settling this dispute civilly and forgiving each other. And thanks to whoever deleted those two posts. I'm going to hazard a guess and say it was Masau, but I can't be sure.

By the way, the mirror isn't a portal, although it has some properties of one. You should all experiment a bit with the mirror and see what happens. For example, if something were to *hint*happen to it*hint*, what would happen?

Felix grew tired of waiting for a response from the woman, and guessed she had lost consciousness. Felix stood up and looked at the mirror. His grip on the crowbar tightened to almost that of a vice grip, or it felt like that to Felix. He spoke under his breath, "I am so freakin' tired of this." Felix said and held the crowbar up with the bent end of it facing the mirror, and tapped it a couple of times. He lowered his hand with the crowbar to his side again. "This mirror is blocking the way out, I know it." he said, still under his breath. Then the normal reaction of the thought that he'd be stuck there forever. This of course caused Felix to start panicking. His mouth turned into an exaggerated frown, and the rest of his face scrunched towards the middle of his head. His grip tightened on the crowbar again, and his other hand reached over to the crowbar as well, holding it like a baseball bat. He wound up. "LET-" Felix swung the crowbar at the mirror, "ME-" he swung again, "OUT-" a third time, "OF-" a fourth, "HERE!" and again. He continued to frantically hit the mirror. "BREAK!"

OOC: Sorry to burst your bubble, Cyphon, but the liquids in the syringes don't affect people unless the manage to physically get inside them.

IC: The liquid flowed out of the broken syringe with a startling speed, covering ground quickly. It was a freed animal, escaped from its cage and eager to get further away to wreak whatever damage it had been trapped to prevent it from doing. Now it moved steadily, spreading out so that a different mass of liquid managed to aim itself in the direction of one of the people, its next victim.

At the same time, while Felix was hacking away at the perfectly-square glass mirror, the cracks spreading out in a thin spiderweb pattern. When the cracks became deeper, something...happened. Across the entire length of the cube-shaped room, exactly adjacent to the cracks, distortions began to form in the air; everyone's visions became contorted around jagged lines in the air. Felix's body erupted in pain as wire-thin knife-cuts began to form across his face and upper torso--exactly the same as the cracks in the glass.

Cyphon, too distracted to notice these strange phenomena, fired explosives at the mirror from his rocket launcher. The mirror was severely cracked, but not removed from the wall. The disruptions in space this time appeared to take the form of a solid beam; if Cyphon had been perpendicular to where the rockets hit the glass, his body might have been completely torn apart, or destroyed.

Whatever happened to the mirror, happened to the room--in three dimensions.

OOC: What do you think might happen if a 3D chunk was taken out of the mirror? (*hint*hint*hint*)

Felix had had a feeling of calm wash over him, but that was short lived as almost immediately afterward his face and torso received cuts, just like the cracks in the mirror. Felix dropped the crowbar and shot his hands up to his face and fell backwards, rolling on the floor in pain. The only thing he managed to control was his voice, which he dulled to a whimper instead of a full on shriek.

Cyphon, having noticed that what happens to the mirror happens in the room, fires again, but this time aiming at the side of the section he damaged earlier, which would send it flying from the mirror. He off course, having seen what happend to Felix, moves his ass away from where he shot, but still he thinks the risks worth the prize.

Awesome to the Badass to the Chaotic Mastermind.
At the time, Evan didn't really hear Cyphon talking to him. In fact, the thing that broke the spell was the whole vision changing, and the rest of them being in on the gag. Well, sort of. Someone was tempting him, or trying to tempt him. He wasn't sure exactly what the thing in the mirror was trying. DID he know what they were dealing with? And if so, was that suppose to calm him or rile him up? He just couldn't tell... Also, while he didn't like Jim's sarcastic quip about him, it was somewhat fairly accurate. An uneasy tension about all of this was settling in his gut, and about the back of the neck...where brain meets spine.

"Has the, uh, mirror told you anything yet? Particularly about Shadow...or how to get out...or even why we are here...or anything else that might be nice to know?"

He appeared to be thinking, but he answered, looking Jim's way as he backed away from the mirror.

"Actually, yes. Not...about Shadow, sorry. I thought I knew what I was doing before, but it didn't work. But...I think the point is to get to this city. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Maybe both. We are definitely being manipulated, tweaked. It's not funny, and it's getting steadily worse."

Getting worse was really an understatement. His choice of words when speaking allowed before had caused a severe problem. One guy, Felix, started hitting the mirror. That seemed like an incredibly bad idea and he must've been losing it himself. Evan stayed back away from him, already feeling it all start. The panic, the violence, the bloody freaking deaths... They were going to end up a stain on the walls... And then Cyphon decided to blow holes in the mirror!

"Are you two out of your minds? If that would work, they certainly wouldn't HAND US weapons!"

They weren't listening. Hell, even AFTER seeing what happened, Cyphon fired another shot. And the effects involved beams of cutting light which had Felix on the ground now. No, they couldn't do this. He couldn't let this happen. This was where he drew the line, a look of sudden anger coming over him. Mentally, he reached out and tried to plow one single thought-command into their heads, all of them.

EVERYBODY DROP THE WEAPONS NOW!!

Whether he could get them to obey or that the shock of him mentally shouting into their brains got them to do it out of reflex, he didn't care. This had gone on long enough.

"I know you guys are freaked. I'm freaked, myself. You have...no idea what my head's been through...yet. This is incredibly big, and incredibly vicious. So, can we cut this out before we all get cut to ribbons? I'd like that. Alot."

Taking a deep breath, he tried to calm down. They were in a room with a talking evil mirror and a deadly light behind the wall. Rather, the mirror was somehow containing this room in the extra-dimensional sense. What were they going to do with it? Was there a way to maybe breach the regular wall with the beams? No. It wasn't happening already. Maybe... Hmmm.

Was there a big enough piece of the mirror to pick up and reflect back at the mirror?

The one known as Cyphon had almost been hit.

Oslo noticed now that he had no weapons, but he could still find them if necessary, he had with the flourecent bulbs.

"I don't think we've been introduced yet, whoever you are," motioning to Evan, "I am Oslo. Apparently the mirror does exaclty what a mirror does and reflact light and beams, along with attacks. Big surprise. Now, how about we just avoid the mirror altogether, no? Find another way out? Or do we have to plow through that cursed mirror?"

Kranford holstered his weapons and stood as far away from the mirror as he could. Lab rats were lab rats, and apparently this test had been designed to see if folks could think outside the box. He immediately took Felix's crowbar and struck one of the normal walls to see what would happen, jumping away if something unfortunate did. They shouldn't go through the mirror, but what about around it...

Kranford's crowbar is met with little resistance, and the metal beam manages to poke through the wall entirely, as if it were paper. Behind this thin wall section, a reflective scene can be seen behind it: another mirror. There is not just one mirror; there are concealed ones inside the walls as well, and perhaps the ceiling and even the floor.

What happens if the mirrors reflect each other?
