A clarification for those who didn't play halo/Fallout Jack The Warthog is a standard UNSC jeep. It usually carries 3 people and a turret, but the turret can be given up for space for more people. The Elephant is a mobile base. It has computers and logistics systems inside. It's also very large The Scorpion is a main battle tank. The Longsword is a strategical space to atmosphere bomber. The Shortsword is a high altitude short range in atmosphere bomber The pelican is air troop transport, which can carry 10 people and a vehicle The Sparrowhawks are heavy gunships The Hornets are light gunships. They can also carry 2 people extra. |

Note that there is also... The Hawks: An upgraded version of the Hornet. The Vultures are a large UNSC (United Nations Space Colonies[I think. >.<]) air battle ship. Has machine guns, and missles The Cobras are anti-base vehicles. the Cyclops are robotic Mec suits designed to repair things. Can be used to rip apart enemy vehicles. About the size of a ghost in size. The Grizzlys are basically pimped out Scorpions. Faster, more armored, with bigger guns. The Wolverines are Anti-Air vehicles, with a butt load of anti-air missiles. |

The Hawks, are a word to call SparowHawks. So I already had that. John is indeed correct. People make the mistake of thinking they're the command of the human race. they're not, noly the military part of it. The UEG actually controlls humans. |

Slavardek used to be a general, before he committed the warcrimes. There were several warcrimes by the way; the insane attempt at peace with the Covenant was only the last in a long line of them. I know he's a captain. But when I'm describing him, I say general just because he still thinks of himself as one. There's no character interaction; no one's posted recently. |

And now the butcher drops into the action! Karras should be along shortly. He is currently awaiting approval by Mike. EDIT: HEEERRREE'SS Karras! Master Sergeant Karras Tolben Class: Urban combat/CQB (specializing in night fighting and special forces tactics) Perk: Magnetic Rail Straps Weapons: Karras is armed with a pair of M6D pistols (explosive rounds included), a very unhappy shotgun (halo 1 version. He has one notch on the magazine for every elite or hunter he's killed), and a full belt of grenades. A combat knife is included in his apparel, it is sharp enough to take down an elite if used properly (backstab anyone?). He has been known to change barrel chokes on the shotgun to get tighter or wider spreads, depending on the general range of combat that he's expecting. He can also load it with solid slugs instead of buckshot so that it behaves like a rifle, during which he attaches a small scope to it. The slugs punch through almost any armor, and it's penetration is comparable to that of a sniper rifle's. Other equipment: Karras has modified his armor to automatically dispense healing chems whenever he's seriously injured, allowing him to recover somewhat quicker from injuries, but there are only enough chems for three or four doses, after which the armor needs to have fresh doses of chems popped in. Also, thanks to his penchant for urban combat and night-fighting, he also uses a Multi-optics helmet system that can allows him to use thermal imaging, night vision, or enhanced targeting. Also, when he finds he needs some extra voice to bark out orders or a speech in the heat of battle, the sergeant attaches a small loud speaker to the left shoulder of his armor, allowing him to speak with a voice comparable in loudness to a bullhorn. Background: Karras comes from a military family, with a small amount of ancestral Cherokee blood in him. While many of his family members ended up having various specialties, including sniper rifle training and such, Karras chose to have a particular specialty in ambush tactics and close-quarter fighting. Many opponents have met a bad end at the hands of his trademark shotgun and pistols, including Covenant, pirates, and rebels. Karras was sent over to High by his superiors after he was recovered as the sole survivor from a skirmish against the Covenant on another world. His vid-log showed what appeared to be Karras' point of view after his unit had been wiped out. He hunted down and killed several hunting parties of Covenant troops, including numerous elites, with such ferocity that the board that was investigating the matter thought he might have utterly snapped. Many superiors know about Karras's little escapade through the jungle with the Covenant, but the men that serve below him most likely haven't got a clue just how potentially unhinged their sergeant might be... Personality: Karras is quiet unless he's barking out orders in the heat of battle. If there's one thing he can't stand, it's being used like a tool, especially when it puts his life and the lives of those under him in danger. He has left many manipulative COs lying on the ground in the fetal position (not dead, but quite banged up). He sees to it that he carries out his orders, the only exception being suicide missions. He occasionally "goes Indian" when under massive amounts of stress, during which he seems to possess an almost inhuman ferocity and cunning, often leading people to question his sanity after seeing this side of him in action. Appearance: Karras is roughly 5'10" tall, and weighs about 190 lbs. He is powerfully built and has a necklace of preserved elite jaws that he took as trophies from the elites he killed in his latest episode of "going Indian" and his armor is slightly bulkier (in order to hold the trauma suit add-on). Additional edit:I'll jump in after the next edit. Edited by Kranford T. Butcher, Mar 15 2009, 11:09 AM.

Hello, Kranford. I don't believe we've spoken so far. I only joined on Thursday, so I'm fairly new. I like your character. I'm sure he's going to fit in well with everyone else here. Anyway, it's nice to have another semi-crazy character playing. Of course, my character, Captain Slavardek, is utterly psychotic. Have you read my character profile? Anyway, yours is definitely one of the more interesting ones on here. Hope you join in soon. |

You know, you could also ask me. The planet High was made up by me. I'm not revealing any plot points as of now. It's obly significance to the UNSC is as a gas station for Slipspace drives, a gateway to the eastern outer colonies. One of. It's a bit more significant to the covenant, for plot related reasons. |

As he said. Actually, due to the mention of the Innies presence, that means its in the Elipson System. This system is the only system with Innies in it. It is on the edges of UNSC controlled space, and in this system, has the planet Harvest in it. Harvest was the first planet that came into contact with the Covenant. The first Counter-Attack was launched by the UNSC 20 years before the first Halo game. Harvest was a fertile planet that fed at least 3 other planets. Reach was its primary delivering spot. (Reach is the UNSC's base of operations, excluding Earth) So, I'm assuming that High is in the outer edges of the Elipson system, and as Mike said, has little significance other then being a Refueling station. Mike, for personal reasons, how many years after the first Counter attack was launched is the RP taking place? Edited by Rin Seiko, Mar 11 2009, 08:28 PM.

Besides this discussion about High, and Kranford's character introduction, most of what's been on this page the last few days has been pointless and empty. I think everyone should be more focused on posting on the actual RP than writing five-word-long posts and passing them off for discussion. Seriously, post on the actual RP. Not that info on High isn't important or anything, but the actual RP is more important than this discussion page. The exception is when new players come in and introduce their characters. And Shard? I know it was probably an accident, but just in case it wasn't, don't write empty posts. Your last post had absolutely no words in it, apart from your signature. I'm not sure. This isn't far into the covenant invasion. Maybe 1 or 2 years after the counter attack. ( I dunno due to my unknowledge of that part of halo history. Harvest is already secured by the covenant, as are a multitude of other human worlds. Spartan II's are in their prime, as the unstoppable war machine they were meant to be.) But the covenant attack human worlds randomly, not in a progression. With space distances, the placement of the systems relative to each other is irrelevant. This planet might be near The epsilon system, not in it. So this might be later then 1 or 2 years. The covenant aren't considered a galaxy spanning end of the world threat yet, just an enemy which refuses negotiation. |

I know this is stupid, but I actually wasn't sure what he meant by "Stars-to-Bars". Now that I think about it, it's quite obvious. That is an interesting point though. It was probably unintentional on Kranford's part, but it might make for an interesting sub-plot. Does that mean the UNSC has info on CO's that anyone can access? And since Slavardek used deception and underworld contacts to get back into the army, is the UNSC aware of this and just doesn't do anything about it? Edited by Themistocles, Mar 11 2009, 09:14 PM.
