Hi All, This years Christmas Party has been booked for Wednesday 30th December and will take place once again at The Elbow Rooms in Leeds City Centre (same venue as last year). The VIP room is booked from 8pm to 12 pm with an option to stay on until 1am if we require it. We are proposing to have food on this year if enough of the members want it and the price is £9.95 per head of which £4.95 will be paid for by the club for each member and only ONE guest. Subsequent guests will have to pay the full £9.95. The menu is a s follows :-  Please indicate on this thread how many members and guests will be attending and whether you would like food provided. If enough members indicate they would like food then it will become compulsory to pay the above amounts as it will be impossible to differentiate from diners and non diners, (If that makes sense). The following info' is taken from an e-mail received from The Elbow Rooms :- As I’m sure you remember, the VIP room has 1 pool table, a 42” screen TV with Nintendo Wii, leather sofas and a beer fridge. This comes at a hire rate of £30 per hour (This will be paid for by the club). We now have new managers, along with nearly an entire new team of staff working here at The Elbow Room. We are focussing on the parties and the services we give them this year, to make sure they have a night to remember. There is now an allocated waitress to the VIP room to take care of all parties booked in this area. However this year we will also have the top bar open, saving you from trooping up and down the stairs every time you want a drink. We also have plenty of drink offers available to you this year if you pre-order them from me. Make the most of the beer fridge in the VIP room and... You can get either a case(24bottles) of Coors Light, Singha or Sol for £39; just under £1.63 for a bottle. Or you can get a bottle of house red or white wine for £7; just under £1.67 for a glass. We can add a drinks reception for you and your party; a glass of bubbly or Kir Royale for £1.50 each. We will also decorate the area for you if you wanted; free of charge. All drinks to be paid for by ourselves but could you please indicate your preferences with regards drinks as pre-ordering sounds very good value and we would need to know beforehand to order so that we get full benefit of the offer. Lastly we are also considering getting Gemma, the girl who sang (Soul and Motown" at our 13th Crusade, to sing for us if the venue allows it. Could you also please indicate your thoughts on this. Me and Sam are up for this................... food as well ....................... plus I think the Soul and Motown singer is a brillant idea. Suggestion............... meet at Weatherspoons in the Station from 7pm onwards as we certainly will be arriving in Leeds via the Train. Not too bothered about the extention til 1am as we will be catching the last train to Ilkley at about 11pmish. COME ON THE REST OF YOU AND GET YOUR FINGERS OUT ( to type your reply's )............... LETS BE KNOWING WHAT YOUR DOING

Update :- Gemma has been booked at a cost of £70 as all but one person that I spoke to was in favour. Bob has texted from Tenerife to say he and Deb's will probably come but he will confirm when he gets home. |

me and niki might be there depends on work seasonal opening ours arnt out until december , my rota for works only done the week before hand and i usually work on wednesday nights and they joys of working in retail mean no holiday`s or extra days off between december and end of january |

Bit disappointed with the response to this so far. Only 12 members and 2 guests committed so far. If no more members going then this event will not be viable and we will have to cancel with the loss of our £50 deposit. The Committee. |
