Alot people have been talking about this upcoming free online shooter within the clan. Anyone excited about making the switch from CA?

Personally from what I have seen in videos, I'm not a big fan of the gamestyle. Seems alot more slow paced as an fps, but the graphics and modeling seem pretty solid for a free game. It really comes down to hacker control when determining which game will be more successful or fun for that matter. As many of us already know, CA is a bit lacking in that department.

I guess time will tell. Anyone have specific dates on open beta and release?

It really depends on what anti-hack methods Blackshot uses imo. CA is stubborn and continues to use hackshield which seems to be having little effect on preventing hackers. Punkbuster would probably do a much better job.

I'd say BlackShot and Combat Arms are both great games.
I like BlackShot mostly for AWPing, and yeah, whichever game has less problem with hackers is probably the one im going to spend more time playing.

They do also have to fix their lag problems before i play. The Host switches for no reason from a player with a good connection to a player with a slow connection and creates to much massive lag.
