Here we go, an encyclopedia of all the creatures that inhabit Aurion. Please note, these are non-limiting. This is just for more common creatures and wildlife. If your creature isn't on this list, you can still have it. Dragons Any range of the (usually) large, reptilian creatures with heightened magical abilities, extremely keen senses, and wedge-shaped head. They usually have four legs, muscular bodies, and a set of large, leathery wings. They have any range of "breathing" powers, most commonly fire or ice. The most common of these are Western dragons. Draik/Drake Creatures very similar to dragons, except lacking wings. They are lithe, muscular, and usually smaller than their winged cousins. They are usually medium-sized. They are built like dragons however, not like serpents/lizards, as are their wyrm cousins. Eiaks Animals, similar to goats, that inhabit the Aurionian Mountains. They have long, thick fur and fat barrels. Males grow thick, bone-like horns that curl and end in very sharp points. They are mildly territorial. Kiskin A water-dwelling animal that is cow-like in nature. Its thick black skin is often used for leather. They have four flippers and a long, 'T'-shaped tail, and can sometimes be mistakes by sailors as mermaids. Oviat Think beaver with a fox tail. These large rodents have incredibly large, hard, and sharp front teeth, which they use for defending themselves and for cutting into the thick stalks of plants. They are fairly common in most areas were trees are present. Rourg Large, horse-like animals. Used as plow animals, food crops, and transportation. They have three toes per foot, and their long coats are usually brown or a green-ish color. They have long ears, spirled horns, thick, short necks, and whole, short tails(similar to a cow's tail). Tarrag A mid-sized, moose-like animal. Their fur is thick and is usually brown with darker patches. They have long legs and thick bodies, with short necks and fat noses. They, unlike their moose cousins, do not have antlers, only small nubs on their heads. Taurus Large, bipedal bulls. Their hind legs are built similarly to a fawns, and they have hairy, humanoid upper halves. They, however, lack the intelligence of a human and are more prone to walking on hands and hooves to graze like cattle. They've got bull heads however, complete with a thick snout and large horns and ears. Unicorn Creatures similar to horses with a single horn, usually long, spiraled, and in the center of the forehead. Some varieties have feathered hooves and beards, and some have magical abilities. Their build is sometimes closer to a deer's, and they are very quick and elusive, making them very hard to catch. There is reward to be had from catching one, though, because their blood can heal any wound or illness. Killing a unicorn is considered evil because they are creatures pure of heart. Weet-tan Jurik Wyrm Wyrms, like drakes, have no wings, but unlike drakes, wyrms are more serpent-like, with long, slender bodies and long skulls. Depending on variety, they can have fours legs, two legs, or no legs at all. They rely on stealth and quick wit rather than speed and strength to hunt small animals or take down larger prey, using a rather snakelike method of attack. Edited by Valkrye, Mar 20 2010, 04:20 PM.
