Synopsis from the Telluride Film Festival:

Adèle (19-year-old Adèle Exarchopoulos, in a stunning performance)is a
passionate but utterly typical suburban high school senior. Along with her
pals, she’s trying to figure out the how-tos of lovemaking. Enter Emma
(rising star Léa Seydoux), an older, mysterious blue-haired bohemian who
shares the secrets of both Sartre and sex. Based on the popular graphic
novel by Julie Maroh, writer-director Abdellatif Kechiche’s Palme d’Or winning film captures the dizzying intensity of inarguable sexual chemistry,
while reminding us how class, careerism and the passage of time often
erode the most authentic of relationships. BLUE was the talk of Cannes
(and beyond)for a controversial sex scene. But these daring, unforgettable
moments, as potent as a Kurosawa samurai sequence or Minnelli dance
number, are great cinema. With no words spoken, the dynamic of two lovers
is brilliantly articulated. It’s not one frame longer than it should be. –LG
(France, 2013, 179m)]In person: Abdellatif Kechiche, Adèle Exarchopoulos,
Léa Seydoux

Synopsis from the Telluride Film Festival.

Here's the link to the complete festival program. It's pdf. ;)

They will also be attending there! :)
Apparentely they will have a Q&A at the screening there, this friday. I don't know if it will available online, actually I don't know much about this festival. If someone knows anything about this, please do share!

Thank you! :)
Fingers crossed someone in the audience films the Q&A and put it up on YouTube. We could look out for pics and vids on Friday. Whoever finds anything please post it here.

I was on youtube and saw that the two scenes from Blue have over 800,000 views but the trailer is around 80,000. Is that because of all the reviews that first came out about the film? Also, does anyone have a link to the trailer with english subs? I've seen one but wanted one that had a lot of views already.

Sorry, but no...it's pretty bad.
:'( :'( his accent scum!! I'm french (from Nantes)
if Adèle not in a French-speaking country, it is too difficult to be taught "the French street"
Léa has a great voice and a good command of French .it is purely French

Now THAT I did not understand! ^o)

However, I understood Adele's English perfectly well. Apart from a few verb endings, Adele's English is fine. She's only 19 and has probably not yet interacted much with first language speakers (eg Americans and Brits). I'm sure she will in a long and successful career and her English will be fluent before long.
One thing this interview does show is that she is intelligent and makes intellectual points.

Oh, and she's hot in English too.

not ugly. like the pretty crime or thug or vulgar (perhaps deep voice because of smoking). I think Adèle is rebel.

Ten years ago, Lea Seydoux was a shy rebel.
They are very complicit ^o)

I love the way Adèle talks in english and in french. I love her raspy/hoarse voice, her upturned mouth with her two-front overbite, the way she talks with her hands, I love her hands and the many decorative gold rings she wears. She is such a fearless rebel. I love her.

As french, personally I prefer Léa's way to talk that is more refined, composed and soft whereas Adele’s is more popular (she obviously comes from the suburbans of Paris), guttural and sometimes vulgar in a way. But I definitely prefer Adele's simplicity, spontaneity and her attitude that is more outgoing.

I find Adele more appealing and more sexy that Lea in these gifs and photos.
Lea is more conventionally beautiful but looks like an untouchable 'star' whereas Adele looks like the kind of girl/woman you could see in a bar or walking along the street...she looks casual, real and so comfortable in her natural beauty
...that's more appealing than someone who's supermodel-beautiful, imo.

I think it's fcking awesome that the CANNES acknowledged all 3 of them. Usually all the accolades go to the director but this way he had to share it with these 2 actresses. I wonder if he slightly resented that or was happy about it.

Lea makes her first comments on beauty and lesbians

How did you live through the backlash against you in regards to your words on beauty and lesbians?

Lea: It didn't bother me cuz it didn't concern me.Through movies I've done;I have the feeling that I engage politically.Abdellatif's movie is one of them. For anyone to accuse me of lesbophobie (homophobia) is absurd. My words were badly taken.I would never slender/slur/denounce

X2 yup!! She comes off very natural, I love natural women. I'm not saying Lea doesn't be the way Adele has it is very organic.

Adèle's voice was already deep in Les Enfants de Templebach and she was still a tween there. So, unless she was a chain smoker at age 12, I dount the deepness of her voice has anything to do with smoking.
