She's writing the show like your average ABC/Lifetime soap-opera, where women are catty, plots are written over characters, all they do is talk about men, chase cocks, men are good caring human beings and so on. The only thing missing is high fashion talk. Generally these shows are written by women or gay men. Here we have the former.

SandtC was all about straight women getting laid, but honestly I don't think it was a bad show. It was more entertaining than RandI. Plus those ladies really had each other's backs. I think it also worked because the character's individual story lines were fairly well written and acted. I didn't watch the show all that much, but I never found myself thinking: Oh, it's just Miranda? BORRING. Get Samantha and Carrie back on screen!

Conversely when I watch RandI and I get Rizzoli without the Isles or Isles sans Rizzoli, my attention wanders. It's boring.

Lmao so curiosity got the best of me and I just read another side for episode 2. And all I can say is WTF?
I could post it here for you guys, if you want. But it kinda gives away the ending for episode 2 LOL

I'm sure Angie gets checked out by straight girls all the time. A lot of times they're drawn to people with masculine energy or characteristics. Now I'm not saying Angie looks like a man, buuuut she's more handsome than she is pretty. Even more so as she gets older. Just look at her.



block out the hair, earrings, boobs, etc. and you can see how she could easily pass for leading man material. Combine that with her deep ass voice and energizer battery energy and she probably has straight chicks fall all over her all the time...at least until she starts to blab about her "values". That's the ultimate cold shower.

In the meantime, does anyone know how to upload pdf files? Because thats the format the side is in.

There is no way to determine 'general consensus'. My guess is don't print them because they seem totally irrelevant. Made up shit. There is too much junk on this board as it is.

I also liked that Maura in her state told Jane to tell her mother that they are friends again. So it seems that Ma Rizzoli plays a part in the first episode when Jane and Maura aren't talking.

As for Tommeh, meh! I truly believe that his only role will be to comfort Maura since she won't have Jane in the first few episodes. He knows about Doyle so she confides in him. I don't believe he'll be a love interest. If Tamaro is smart she'll use him to get Jane and Maura together again.

Not only that. Maura in danger and helpless all over again and Jane there to save her. God, this is cringeworthy bad. This is a really bad scene. It's so bad I would think it's a joke if I didn't know better. Her character has become a cartoon, not even a comic character like in S2. I really feel bad for SA. Reading her lines all i could think about was how she could make it work. It reads almost as a comic scene instead of a serious one. If I think about pilot Maura I just want to cry.
I get that the writing has always been mediocre, but this is embarrassing.

And Tommy as the good guy trying to console her mother with Frankie, please, gimme a break. The characterization on this show is really down the toilet. Now we are supposed to believe he's a sweet caring guy.

Well, I like that Maura and Jane are at least together. The dialogue is terrible, as many others have said. I wonder how Maura gets hurt - since Jane hasn't seen the big bad until they get surrounded. So we get one episode of them being mad at each other and then all is forgiven huh? JTam goes back to her usual crap. I can only hope that this is going to get revised in writing or cut entirely. I LOL'd at the crime....really "Sensei"? WTF?

Really. All this rift, Jane sleeping with Dean and telling him about Maura, just for one episode and a half. With no internal repercussion on the characters or growth for them. I hoped that the rift was a way to let the characters face their issues, even if separately. But no, nothing. She's writing plots over characters once again.
I agree with the other poster. It sounds like a bad fanfic. JT wrote a crime so that a semi unconscious Maura could tell Jane about the friends thing, despite lashing out at her previously in the episode. But since Maura was semi-conscious, she won't remember it. So the next episode there will still be contrasts btw them and a rancorous Maura even if Jane -and the audience- at this point knows that Maura is not really angry with her. This story will drag out for a couple of episodes 'till the flashback where they will talk.
So we will have a flashback, a dream, things say in a state of altered mind, what else, it only remains a coma to complete the list of writing tropes. Can you say cheesy?

This is b movie horror/thriller flick stuff.
