The bomb tech guy doesn't seem to be a good fit for Maura but we will have to see about that one. I've always wanted her with a more serious type of guy and some geek.
I've always thought Maura would be cute with Reid from Criminal Minds.

Angie also said in the same interview taht there is another rooster in the hen house ^o)
OP here, Yes, I know I was just pointing out that BTS Anon gave out a true spoiler. It must have been written in the beginning for her to know about it considering that they are shuffling around stuff and making changes.

I'm not against any love interests for Jane and Maura if they stay in character. I can't stand Casey and I'm glad he's gone. Amaury Nolasco is a better actor and I'm guessing that Jane is in character because she is always at her best when clashing with men, He's on the job so he won't try to change her.

Loved their interviews together today. I do not understand why they alwakys had them interview seperate. They are great together.
x10000

The way they play off each other and the interaction there is the great part. The earlier poster who said that the show would be better off just showing BTS stuff is right. And it'd be alot better than sitting through JTam's lame crimes and "love" stories.

Dude flat out asks them if they are lesbians. http://ausxip.com/rizzoliandisles/video/2013/06/25/better-connecticut-interviews-angie-sasha/ And there it is in a nutshell. Blatant queer baiting for the sake of the almighty dollar and it's totally amoral behavior.
Yes, except that wasn't queer baiting. That was lol!lesbian titillation for the guys like that who see Sasha and Angie together and immediately think of every bad lesbian porn they've watched in their sad lives. Guys like that are almost Pavlovian with inevitable "Threesome?!" line.

But, they're just dumb guys. They will never get it. No, I'm mad at JTam for legitimating it by refusing to take Sasha and Angie's chemistry seriously (as is demanded by the genre and the story tropes and the actors) and do the right thing with it. That's not queer baiting. That's just ugly homophobia, with a large turd topping of self-hatred.
fwiw I'm pretty sure the guy who asked if they were lesbians is queer as a three dollar bill. He broke my gaydar.
I couldn't watch this interview. I'm familiar with the news caster. He's gay and a complete ass. He made his separation from his partner a public fiasco. I'm sure he made a fool of himself here. I haven't been in this thread for over a year. Are we in for another year of denial from JTam and company. TIA.

I think they are a little bit tired about the touchy-feely / chemistry questions so they make fun of it. But they like each-other that's sure. :)

Yes, there is UST between them. It's their chemistry. Not Jane and Maura's. And when you see them together goofing around you can actually see how much they have to subdue their chemistry for the writing. I wish they would let them play Jane and Maura like they did in season 1.

And I loved the bold part. But I also liked that the reporters were asking questions about season 3 and both Angie and Sasha said, We are on season 4. Speaking of love interests, there is a part of the Rizzoli & Isles fan base that is rooting for Maura and Jane to get together as a couple. Are you and the creators of the show aware of that and how do you feel about it?

We're absolutely aware of it. Are you kidding? There's a whole fan base and fan fiction. It's funny the way they create all of these graphics and these pictures that are just absolutely hilarious and provocative at the same time. I think it's fine, you know. If that's what people get from it, art is subjective and I feel like it's a compliment to how much they like this relationship between these women. Whether they see them as a couple or they see them as their relationship with their mom or their best friend or their sister but the important thing is that they believe their relationship and they like it. Angie and I are constantly asked if we're best friends in real life. We both laugh about it because they like our characters so much that they want the two of us to just go home and hang out. It's very sweet. It's nothing but a compliment to me. Whatever somebody sees it as, that's fine. They're not gay. They're not gay in the book so they're not going to be gay on the show.

the problem is that they act as if they were teenagers and best of friends, they have insane chemistry ,but they are in some kind of denial here. i'm not saying they're more than friends or that they're gay IRL, but if people saw 2 random women acting that way, they would automatically think there's something more there. plus, they always say that people don't bother to ask if they are actually friends IRL, and that's oh so funny cause they get along so well. when my very straight mom saw their interview she asked 1. are they high?(because all the giggling) and 2. are they fucking? needless to say i was happy to hear that i'm not the only one seeing things.

I think this is a good way to answer. The characters are not gay. I am with others here that say as long as I see some season 1 interactions in the first few season 4 episodes it will be better then what we have been getting. Washes answer is much better then that whole magic camera one. Sash and Angie did great in interviews yesterday. Very fun together.

That's the lamest explanation ever. Isn't Frost white in the book?
And besides, Callie on Grey's Anatomy was the bigger whore ever before she met Erica, so things are rather fluid on tv, she should know that.

I think even though the characters have changed from the books the fundamental parts the two women friends solving cases is the same and that is probably what is meant. Not op but agree it was not a horrible answer.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepSpeaking of love interests, there is a part of the Rizzoli & Isles fan base that is rooting for Maura and Jane to get together as a couple. Are you and the creators of the show aware of that and how do you feel about it?source
The only thing the show has in common with the books(when it comes to Maura and Jane) is their names and that they work together. They're barely friends in the books...
There friends in the books in the newest one Jane explains how she would miss Maura if she left Boston.
The last book was written after the success of the show. Gerritsen is just using that success and the subtext from the show to make her books more popular. Before that, Jane and Maura were just colleagues in the books. They were hardly friends.

 That was funny. Seriously, the guy pings like crazy. Angie and Sasha's reaction was priceless.

Your not lesbians, you did not have the kids together
Sasha:What?
Angie: We're trying to keep that under wraps.

All the interviews were hysterical and good for them for playing around and goofing off. They were asked the same questions a million times.
 That guy is an idiot but Angie and Sasha played it well. All of their interviews together were hilarious and beautiful.

And I loved the bold part. But I also liked that the reporters were asking questions about season 3 and both Angie and Sasha said, We are on season 4. And then Angie just turns to Sasha and says, Oh, they don't know. And she turns back to the reporters and says, We are on season 12 and we are having fun.
Agreed

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepPosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImageThe way they play off each other and the interaction there is the great part. The earlier poster who said that the show would be better off just showing BTS stuff is right. And it'd be alot better than sitting through JTam's lame crimes and "love" stories.
Yes, there is UST between them. It's their chemistry. Not Jane and Maura's. And when you see them together goofing around you can actually see how much they have to subdue their chemistry for the writing. I wish they would let them play Jane and Maura like they did in season 1.
The bold part is spot on. Seriously, I'm with the others posters. Just give me Angie and Sasha goofing around and improvising and fuck R&I and the dumb writing.
Perfectly said!
