Liverpool v Arsenal

Well here we go again. Part III of this tremendous treble reaches its climax in front of the Anfield faithful in a scorching atmosphere as Arsenal and Liverpool meet for the third time in seven days, in the one which matters the most. For a place in the semi finals of the Champions League.

Liverpool took a 1-1 draw thanks to Dirk Kuyt in the first leg at the Emirates (and then Peter Crouch guided Liverpool to another 1-1 at the weekend.

This promises to be a much different game especially in personnel. Javier Mascherano is once again avaliable to Rafael Benitez. But team selection is going to be toss a coin moment, try and predict this one will be impossible.

My Choice

...................................Reina.............................

....Carragher.....Skrtel.........Hyypia....Arbeloa.......

...................Mascherano.....Alonso.......................

........Kuyt.................Gerrard..............Riise.........

.........................Torres.......................................

SUBS:

Charles Itandje
Lucas Leiva
Yossi Benayoun
Jermaine Pennant
Peter Crouch
Steve Finnan
Andriy Voronin

I know i said i'd start Crouchy here, and i would love to myself, upfront with Fernando Torres, with Steven Gerrard in his rightful position in the centre of midfield. But i dont see a good enough option for right-side myself to go to 4-4-2. Jermaine Pennant was poor and lazy today, Yossi Benayoun was decent but Rafa very rarely starts him, so i think we will go back to the 4-5-1 system with Dirk Kuyt coming from the right and Stevie Gerrard the more advanced of the three central players.
