Welcome to the komachi guide. First I'll go ahead and provide an index Index I. Pros and Cons II. Free port III. It was the up for B's, It was the down of B's IV. Floating and Spinning V. Needle loop VI. Basic combos to look into and final regards I. Pros Free ports Insane special x3 Floating needles Loops and stuns d.B and u.B Good projectile game Homing needles AIR GRAB!!!!!! I. Cons Slow strings Reflectible range game Two of the 3 specials arent amazing loop is hard to land Low range outside of needle game Floating costs way too much chakra Sprint could be faster Not the most options for follow-ups X special is easy to avoid at mid-long range Needs more anti-KnJ Awkward cancel timing Now the thing about komachi is you have to keep them on their toes by using approaches that may SEEM odd and unconventional but all in all are very good. ~~~ free port ~~~ To do this, one tool you'll need to utilize is u.A. "Free port and air attack! Schweet!" You may think. Where as this is true, they have plenty of ways to avoid and punish. You air attacks and even the air special move into the exact SAME path. 45* angle. However, when it comes to punishing lag or avoiding approaches, there isnt many better than this. The needles can be linked into basically a free AAA or even a f.AAB / f.AAAB if you land right. The point of this move is to punish, so try not to make it obvious when you use it. Also good follow-up from grab into AG. ~~~ It was the up of B's, it was the down of B's ~~~ The bread and butter, these moves are great as counters. u.B flips both of you into the air for some extreme drop action. Now the problem to deal with is rollers, however they wont break your game since you can chase them down and maul them. d.B is just as good because it literally catapults them into the stratosphere. You can follow it up with u.B but you also have the option of doing a whole set of things like f.A strings and such. Its fast and a good string-lag punish. ~~~ Floating and spinning ~~~ Floating is something unique to komachi in this game. She can put her needles into the air for the sake of unleashing them when she runs of of chakra or whenever she pleases. In LNP this becomes free. Floating can counter someone punching at your guard and let you do a comeback. The chakra cost makes it only floatable without LnP for roughly 4 seconds or so. This isnt the most efficent thing for chakra but its something worth using, no doubt. Spinning is her counter. Spins things (look like kunai) around her body and it makes them face away from you. Sure it takes away the chance to land the needle loop, but its good for landing your finisher in their skull. ~~~ Needle loop ~~~ Finally comes the needle loop. Its simple enough. BBB / f.B -> j.A -> f.B -> j.A (repeat). They cant get out unless you mess up or they KnJ, but you should have some sort of special before they can. I'd advise the d.X over j.X personally. This is hard to land, but the infinate and basically free special is definately worth it. ~~ Basic combos to look into ~~~ Komachi's combo potential is hindered by techrolling usually, but your X special chases and hits so dont worry too much about it. BBAAB -> u.B(can be teched) -> BBAAA BBB / f.B -> any special / needle loop BBAAAy -> j.Y Y -> U.AY u.AA -> f.AAAB (can be teched) -> BBAAA You'll notice that most of her combos stem from the d.B and u.B effects, which is true. Komachi dosent have the most combo potential, but I believe she has some insane potential beyond that for the fact of geurilla warfare type fighting. Taking small pokes and then finishing with a large special poke... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All in all she has a shallow learning curve for combos and overall fighting. This simplicity makes her easy to use but easier to fight. For this reason, you need to mix-up your game a bit so they come expecting the wrong move. Komachi is one of my favorites and I think she will become something amazing with a little more work behind her. Good luck, guys!!! ~ Skyler Edited by Skye, Sat Apr 17, 2010 12:48 am.

Once you have the time try to neaten this post up a little bit. Other than that, good job! I'm glad you're taking the incentive to post guides on more than one character. Not only should this be an example to other members, but I might also add that it is more than OK for there to be more than one guide per character. Different information or the same information in a different style can help us out a lot. Komachi btw, but she's no Haku =(
