My early thoughts: My roster is now pretty much set for opening night. Glad to have Couture back in the line up and pretty relieved not to lose any key players from my winning roster. Fear my mad GM skillz!  Mut's pulled off some awesome trades in the off-season. If his goaltending improves (either a better rating from EA/they play better in the sims or he trades/signs a better one), I think he's an early favourite. Loney a surprise early candidate for the tradewhore award! |

Excited to see how my new top 6 works out. Need a few more FAs. Hoping Carey can play better than he did last year. |

I think I'll improve this year, maybe make the playoffs as the 5-8 seed. The teams too young to be considered a serious contender...but Season 5? I'm looking to win it all in two seasons. With Two of the last 3 #1's, Two of the last 3 # 2's in the NHL draft and several other good young players It'll take time but Colorado's on the upswing. My question for season 4 is can Zeta and the Vipers repeat their success? Not sure he has the depth to compete if Luongo struggles. Edited by Kragok, Sep 15 2011, 08:34 AM.

London lost alot of veterans in the off season. They finished one point short of a playoff spot. the team is looking alot younger this year, and has one of the lowest payrolls in the league. The future is bright as this team will be able to compete down the road. |

The Wings are only a shutdown defenseman and a couple of quality wingers away from making another run for the KHL Cup. |

Excited to see how my team operates now. The acquisition of Lidstrom and Weber makes my defense loads better than last year's (where Doughty and Staal were my top 2 players). Now Marc Staal can easily do his job in the 2nd line D. Also upgraded a bit on top-6 players, adding Kessel to the second line instead of Doan (who was a bust in the regular season and the playoffs). Adds skill with the sacrifice of grit. Can't wait for UFA to finish rounding out the team

honestly I think mikey has a good chance of repeating. Mut could do really well if his goaltending holds up but he kinda stayed steady. same with LW. Myself and JS probably have about the same talent level as last season, but have spread our depth to become good at every position now. I think Kuzu will improve the most next year. he cn be a top 5 team if everyone performs. big al will do the opposite and will likely compete for a lottery pick. |

Well, I have Big Al's pick, so I hope he does compete for the lottery! I'll look to shore up goaltending if Quick doesn't perform, but I think I have a very strong 1-2 combo in terms of talent, if one falters, Varly is a capable #1 potentially too. There's a few good free agent options atm to consider. My biggest hole, in my opinion, is my PP. NHL 12 may finally fix that, but last season I had an abysmal PP, I think my PK unit got more points than my PP. |

Talent-wise, Krags is right, my team is similar as last season with a couple of changes. But I've managed to fix my weakness in defense, I hope it works out with Coburn and Lidstrom, and maybe Souray, than my lack of D-depth last season. You can bet that I won't be challenging for the MikeyBroomers award That being said, Bizzle has the best opportunity to repeat especially if NHL 12 favours Thomas. |

excited to get this season started. The preseason is no indication really. remember zeta tanked last pre-season and then was one of the best and most consistent teams after. lot's of parity here, no telling who the best teams will be. |

I think it's clear to say that Invicta will dominate, young core, great defense, stellar goaltending, they're my pick for a repeat winner. Now Bizzle, can you be nice and let us win for once?

I may take up some simming duties soon, regardless of RW's situation. I'll be using nhl 11 but I will update all the rosters to the same as the current game. Also would like to suggest game 225 for our trade deadline if everyone is agreed. |
