Hope to have a new graphic card to play that beauty.

Damn, it's coming out finally!!!! I knew R* couldn't resist from doing this, the PC gaming market is too much full of money...haha, awesome news :gngsta:

Too bad I'll probably have to change my PC for playing it, and that's not gonna happen I think...:suicide:

this is one of the best news i heard this year [in the gaming area lol]

now we need tools to start modding it ^^
and since KAM is no longer in the "online"

we might be stuck with Oleg :P unless someone new pops up with a new script or we hack into R* and get their script

Notice how the specs are for "Mass Effect"? Sounds like a hoax to me, meh. But if they do turn out to be the true specs, I will definetly have to do some upgrading, I'm buying a whole new computer, just for GTA IV.

Hey, thats amazing, I never played gta4, cuz I have been waiting to get it for the pc, but most of my friends that have played it just say that gta san andreas is better, as of customizing car and other things, well this could change in the pc, but what do you guys thing, is the normal game better or worse than gta sa.

well.. it's a completely new game engine, so with that in mind, presumably, most of the formats are going to be different - III, VC, and SA, in essence, are all the same engine - in other words, we'll all have to wait for the coders to crack the formats and create the tools that will be needed... unless the formats are extremely similar, we'll probably have to wait quite a while before we can even do anything to it

I think the first mods wiill be out end of december or start of january. Always keep a look on gtaforums' thread about openIV and of course http://openiv.sannybuilder.com
The tools are made, some of them at least, and the formats are known for the xbox/ps3, which will not differ very much on PC I guess.

but isn't openIV basically one big cfgstudio that modifies ide, cfg, and dat files? I'm talking more along the lines of img tools, txd tools and a max scripts that export to the correct format- Oleg will probably be one of the firsts with that in ZM tho...

Yeah I think it is basically, but don't you think if that tool is on the road, others will follow fast? They at least know the formats pretty well, lets have hope they get it. And if Oleg finds a way, max users won't be waiting long until a filter/script/plugin will come. 3d modding in IV will take surely until 3-4 month after release, thats my guess.

yeah, let's hope for sure.. Oleg had an SA I/O filter for ZM approximately a year before Kam released his Max scripts, and even tho Kam has moved on, I'm sure someone has the skills and drive to do it *crosses fingers* lol
