And if there is a new version, why don't you implement EPM but less buggy? |

Hey Slyde, read again.. I am not talking about replaceing RIV with EPM.. I am talking about IMPLEMENTING EPM into RIV.. and making it less buggy.. got it now? RIV as it is PLUS EPM, but with less bugs from EPM. ADD EPM to RIV. Make it one script. |

Oh... Sorry for the misunderstanding. I can try that. But i'll only implement some stuff not all. Problem is i will have to change my scripts name then, cause real inside view will not fit anymore. Other thing is i will need to find a new way to set settings cause lines would become unreadable |

Yeah that was a part I had in mind when thinking about v1.7 (before it came to the big file lost). I thought about making a subdir in /scripts, maybe /EPMfiles, and put one file per car into it. Benefits: - you can name those files individually and enter the hash ingame by saving it into the file Example: EPM script calls the file 100000superamerica.epm (TXT file) when typed it into the console, if sitting in the appropriate car, the hash is entered automatically. Or you name the file by hash. Simplest call from EPM: if(file_exists("HASH.epm") {} else { // do nothing } - you have a better overview over the installed vehicles - you can use a file structure like my moveDoors.conf, which is a huge improvement in usability, and can be better processed by EPM. You and users can read the info directly instead of using a table of keys. |

Yeah, i agree that one file per car would be much more clear. But it will create a huge amount of files to handle... |

Not really. Since its really that one line "if file exists (hash fileextension) and those files are in the lower kByte range. Thats peanuts for a 486 computer, hence a modern one wouldn't even notice.. |

Sorry If I'm bumping this, I don't know if this is ok to put here. I put RIV on my Ruf Yellowbird. When I get ingame and spawn any car (Problems not with the Ruf) I get Error in script RIV up the top right. Anything I can do? Really love this script Slyde thx for the work (Threep too ^^) |

I tried V1.2 and it works fine. But my car still doesn't work with it. I took all the dummys from your F40 and placed them on my car. The steering wheel stays upside down and the speedos don't move. And I know RIV is working because when I hit 'N' I get the hash. |

Sorry for the bump but how to adapt lines from 1.2 to 1.7? I'd like to use DanteUniversal's Aventador with RIV but the lines that came were for 1.2 |

Try this line (not tested) namecar,HASHCODE,3,0.0875,9,2,0.0095,9,none But why don't read the configurations in RIVsets.csv and RIVgazsets.csv? Anyway it's a beta yet. |

@Slyde I decided to check your f40 mesh, and noticed that you used bumper and wing dummies to keep everything tilted. There is no need to loose those dummies for the steering wheel and gauges, just copy a normal dummy, and name it whatever you want.It will still work like with special dummies (buper_f,bumper_r, etc.) |

I started using RIV recently, and as far I know it doesn't include a FP view for the vehicles. Some car mods have their hood cams working as an FP cam. EDIT: Slyde's SLK includes a custom line for the vehoff.csv file who replaces the hood cam with an FP view. Does those other two cars include lines like this? FIELD BONNET_FWD POS -0.400000 -0.400000 0.700000 ANGLES -0.000000 -0.000000 0.000000 FOV 95.000000 Edited by Nicolas, Nov 25 2014, 03:59:31 PM.

I don't know about this too much. I only copied and pasted this RIV line from readme file(of installed car) and write right vehicle hash code. When I'm in game I press V (change view) and in this one car I have Inside View but in other I have hood cam. In vehOff.csv i have line to hood cam view Whence I can get this lines? 'cause there aren't in readme file of this car (I checked different cars from internet and in their readme files too there aren't vehOff lines)

If those cars don't include a vehOff line, that means someone has to make one for them. Or, the easier way, download the FP mod. Edited by Nicolas, Nov 26 2014, 07:28:49 AM.
