HDRI = High Dynamic Range Image first, run over to ICT and snatch some nice HDRI maps or just google HDRI making sure the map you nab is HDR panorama- open up max and click the "rendering" option on the top of your UI and select "environment" - on the pop-up, click the environment map box, double click on bitmap and nav to your HDRI - on the pop-up you'll see the image laced in pink... move the linear dial up until you see no more pixels of pink and click ok (remember the number you dialed in, mine was 16.0) - right below the environment map box, you'll see "exposure control" - in that drop down select "automatic exposure control" next, press "M" and open up your material editor - now drag and drop the map into a material slot and on the pop-up, highlight "instance" and ok - now find the "mapping" drop down in the material editor and select "spherical environment" - then scroll down and look for the "output" tab and move the RBG dial up to the number you had when loading the HDRI (mine = 16) and that's it! hit F9 and have a ball results with my chrome material- |

shyt, like I remember why -lol- you still get a killer reflection by using the default settings on that aspect but I thought I'd share the technique I learned with- but for the most part, I rarely do any of that either, I just load the map and render

Hi, I have some textures for reflection of your model. I use them on cars for Mafia The Game (Mafia: The City Of Lost Heaven). I share them for you and your models: http://matesmc-modspage.wbs.cz/ch_body.bmp http://matesmc-modspage.wbs.cz/ch_bo_02.bmp http://matesmc-modspage.wbs.cz/ch_bo_03.bmp http://matesmc-modspage.wbs.cz/ch_bo_04.bmp http://matesmc-modspage.wbs.cz/ch_chrome.bmp http://matesmc-modspage.wbs.cz/ch_low.bmp http://matesmc-modspage.wbs.cz/ch_red.bmp http://matesmc-modspage.wbs.cz/ch_window.bmp |

You do realize you just bumped a 2 and a half year old topic, right? I was all ready to bring in The T-shirt, but I'm not 'cause you were just trying to be helpful.
