ok, be simple, let's look at the Maserati gts in Forza 3 compared to Shift 2 and the real one, i cant say the one in S2 is perfect enough, at least it's achieved a 90% similar shape. how 'bout Forza 3? oh ( not offence at all)

If you know a little about cars, you should know that Forza 3 model ain't a Maserati GT-S but a Mazerati GT. Yet again, if you knew anything about you are talking, you should know that forza 3 models were, ALL, scanned (NFS models scratched). SO don't compare the perfectness of a scanned model to a scratched made one...
And, YET AGAIN, if you knew anything about modeling, you should see that NFS mesh ain't that perfect at all! There are many issues (side bend too big, fog lights are not correctly placed, etc...

ain't scanning make perfect one? i dunno, but seem errors on scanning are more than scratching........

refreshment..... i dunno whether this is related to FM4, the title says it is!

Models dont get a lot better then Forza ones. And everybody here complaining about importing the models from Forza 2 and 3 to Forza 4 thats just bullcrap. Those models are fine, better then average. Look at GT5. They've imported around 700 cars from GT3/4 just straight into GT5. Nothing has changed. Only a few models are legit and fully changable. FM4 will still be the best racing game to have on the consoles without any doubt. I can speak for both because I have them both (GT5 and FM2/3).

@ goars, yet again you don't know what you talking about! After scanning, models need to be cleaned up; So no, game scanned models are not that perfect...

I'm wondering will this Warthdog 'addition' in Autivista mode, be available to uncover it in files while it will not be able to drive in the game - lol.

@Goars I couldn't spot any inaccuracy on FM3's 370Z model which I was working on since almost a year(!), so could you please tell me what is it? Except the fact that FM3's 370Z looks "fat" compared to EA's mesh..

Couldn't see anything wrong in the picture you posted either... -_-

Back on topic, Finally! It has a 2003 BMW M5 (E39) !!! Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw its name written on the car list!

Although I hope the models are not like GT5, hope all of 'em are HQ not just some cars for Autovista. :w/e:

Autovista will only be available in some cars! Otherwise you can imagine the amount of work and time it will take?

Other thing, you can forget the possibility of converting Forza 4 models. Forza 4 model's mesh are 2 even 3 times denser than Forza 3 model's one. Keep in mind that, FOrza 4 models ARE render models!

The updated Forza Studio is almost finished. ( http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4256&start=840 ) So it will be possible but it seems like the Autovista parts are in a seperated carbin.

@RapidX, the models wont be like GT5's because those lowpoly ones are from GT4 and GT3.

@Slyde looking at some of the screenshots from XeNTaX, it doesn't seem like the lod0 polycount has changed much from FM3, apart from the added door sills, engine and whatnot http://i.imgur.com/AwSyt.png

And you know why?

I'm sure that LOD 0 models are different from Autovista Ones. Which means that LOD 0's are almost the same of Forza 3 BUT, Autovista (which will have sills, engines and so on) will be much more dense. Which means too that LOD 0's will not have sills neither Engines. You can see on that pic that there are NO sills at all and the engine, as it is seen from the outside, they needed to model a minimum of it...

Thats exactly what I said a few posts back. The Autovista parts are probably in another carbin file.

@Slyde I don't know for sure; how 'bout you?

If you have some info why not share it with the rest of us? I'd like to believe you, and what you say is completely plausible, but I'd like to see a more ore less official source (link or something).
Furthermore, it's possible that the game uses the lod0 mesh in autovista and only adds sills and engine form separate files. N'est-ce pas? :p

IMO the only way we'll know for sure is when the full game gets out.

How about search in Youtube and all that?

I whatched movies in Youtube, read in magazines and a bit of good sense does the thing. Plus, when I posted a source just in first post, people started to tell that ain't true. So why post more? The only thing I know is that I know lol
Honestly, if you want to know too, search about it! I say this because if you are smart enough to search infos to discredit my sources, you are smart enough too to search sources by yourself, n'est ce pas?

And I agree with you, the best thing to do is to wait the game. And mine will arrive the 14th (holy momma can't wait!!!!)

@ Prea, I don't know if you invisible or not, the only thing I know is that I can't see you lol

@Slyde why the hell are you so grouchy lately :P

What specific sources RELATED TO THE POLYCOUNT did I discredit? On the contrary, I supported your claim from teh first post, you seem to forget that.
Sure, I can use Google. But it makes more sens to ask you for a link since you seem to already know.

And speaking of common sense, what good is the lod0 if it's not used in autovista? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that FM3 used lod0 in the garage only, not on the race track. And I seriously doubt that FM4 will use lod0 in races, the xbox360 doesn't have the muscle for it.

@Prae you're not invisible bro, I was posting at the same time as you ;)
