Modeled from scratch a new underbody (original one was 2D) texture from Fm3
I still have to model the rear suspensions - idk how

Triangle count for the exhaust : 4000 :hehe:

Also Genesis (Martin) made 2 new cool liveries witch unlike the ones from the game are colorable (grey/green zones)

Also made an extra spoiler , kept the normal spoiler, lowered and modeled new supports (the kind they used on the lacetti and 1st versions of Cruze)

only thing I might suggest is reducing the count on all those cylinders, 12 segs is more than enough to stay smooth - other than that it looks great, the design is adequate to.. just remember to keep them as separate entities, then you can hook 'em up to the suspension nodes so they'll react to suspension changes in game - looks awesome Vlady boi :good:

+1 on the R/T stripes

Can I get some help on scratch work? I don't think I'll be able to model a decent engine or underbody.

any American car or truck from any game (or scratch of course)

you must be responsible for your own work, no help for paint jobs or parts
(paint jobs can be created by others, but won't generate contest points)

Why'd you quote this lol? :suicide:

I was gonna play stupid and act like I never saw it and maybe someone would forget about that rule :P

Anyways, I really don't think I'll be able to model a decent engine or underobody. Sills and trunk could be done though, but doubt those.

My main problem is that I don't really know where to start. I have no idea how to turn a polys into something like this.↓

before everything, make the enginebay, so after that you can see how to fit the engine in
after that, Start with the gray cover
than make the black tube, than the battery, than other oil/water things, than cables, than small details
always start up with big things than make details ;)

You don't get me bro... I never modelled engines before. So I don't know which tools I should be using to convert a shape into a part of the engine.

@Spy like I said before.. use the S2U engine texture to plan out your engine... YOU CAN MODEL THOSE THINGS if you can MODEL SILLS and rims
OR JUST ENHANCE THE S2U Engine.(learn MAX or learn how to model in ZMOD)

+1 to KG

or use the S2U engine as reference, model "over" it. When I say that I mean you remodel each part but you make them more detailed using the older engine, in this case you are sure to keep the good dimensions.

IS the use... :P

Well, in a way FM3 cars are also "free" models, so it shouldn't be an issue. But IDK, I don't think I can call it.

I say use free parts if you want, what's the difference, most of you are using models from different games anyways,a free model part is like a game model,I don't think I will use them but nevertheless you can all use what you want.

Also can I use a 3D engine downloaded from the web like Google Warehouse?Or should I model it myself necessarily?

2. Yes you can, but you won't get extra points for it (scratch made parts will get you extra points *hint* *hint*)
