The PC version has the exact same shit. What you see in that vid is just a hack that turns the used cars dealer into a dealer with DLC cars. |

Some people had some issues where the unpacker moved all the big and map files to backup, but moved the .bin files to C:\users\XXXXXX\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\atari\TDU2 instead of C:\program files\atari\tdu2 and you told them essentially to move all the bin files to the correct place, then had some upload and said "run this after" and that fixed peoples' problems. It was from like post 30 up through 35 or something. Edited by strychnine, Mar 12 2012, 05:09:17 AM.

Ah, I remember now. There was never a fix, that upload you're referring to was just part of my unpacker. The problem occurs on Windows Vista and 7 with UAC enabled. Basically UAC will prevent the unpacker from creating any files inside C:\Program Files and its sub-folders. So you can either a) Disable UAC from Control Panel / User Accounts and run the unpacker again (with the game in its original state) b) Move the .bin files to C:\program files\atari\tdu2, open unpack.cmd in notepad and delete every line except these: This bit of code was the "run this after" upload, it was just so you don't have to go through the whole process again. |

OK so... now it just moved them ALL to unused_bin and there still aren't any Bnk files or folders. I'm confused. Edited by strychnine, Mar 12 2012, 07:46:36 AM.

Did you disable UAC? I forgot to mention, you may need to do it for option b) as well. |

Yeah I disabled it the minute I installed windows. It's annoying as hell. I checked again to be sure and it's still off. |

Then I have no idea why it's not working... Try this: Move all .bin files somewhere on another partition (D:\TDU2 or E: or whatever you have available), also move unpack.cmd (the one you modified above!) and filelist.log in the same folder with them, then run the unpack.cmd. |

It worked. Thanks man! That's a bit of a understatement. I peed myself in excitement when it worked (not really, but close) |

Had some free time today and I decided to have a look at the new DLC contents. I managed to figure out most file names and paths, but sadly around 40 of them are still unknown. And since these are completely new files, it's pretty much impossible to guess their names. Unless someone comes up with a better method, a modified exe or hash converter, there won't be an updated unpacker from me. |

My script will "move all .big and .map files to a backup folder" This is probably outdated, and there should be newer/better unpackers for TDU2. Have a look on dedicated forums. Edited by Chipicao, Sep 3 2014, 08:58:12 AM.
