Converting VC to SA; Weapon models

As it says in the title, I'm converting a VC weapon model to SA...

Everything worked great, I imported VC model into Z-Mod 1 and saved it as project file. Then I opened Z-Mod 2 and imported VC weapon project file, merged it with the original SA golfclub.dff model (rotated VC model by 180 degrees, so that it fits perfectly to original SA), deleted SA model & re-linked the hierarchy. Obviously, I also "flipped" textures in TXD Workshop, and converted VC *.TXD to SA format.

Now, don't get me wrong, the model DOES load in SA, and everything seems to be OK, except that model isn't placed properly. Golf Club in this case is not being held by CJ's hand, in fact, the whole model is out of alignment. It's either outside CJ's hand or inside his torso.

Same with cellphone model, or any other model I tried to convert... But in Z-Mod, everything seems OK, both new & the old model seem to match perfectly. Um, help anyone?

did you think simply placing them in the same 3d space would do it? ..or did you remember to modify the new models axis to share the same positioning as the original? ..because I see no mention of that even tho it's a crucial part of the process - and the reason it's out of place

Nope, guess not lol. I'm not very familiar with conversion technique, although I do resize or convert something every now & then.

If it's not too complicated, can you please describe me the missing part? I'll take a look at it (and respond) first thing tomorrow morning :)

it's not a missing part, it's the model's axis, the centrum, the pivot

I see... Alright then, so how do I modify model axis? In Z-Mod 2, of course?

Tried mirroring the replacement object to the same location as the original one, it didn't work :/

OK, since nobody is going to help me, might as well make a guess... It probably has something to do with "Local Axes", right? But I don't understand which parameters should I use? Orientation, Offset, Reset to parent or world? And should I tick "keep object" or not?
