okay guys i've got another mod lined up to replace the shitty mx helmet rockstar gave us, but no matter how many times i've tried, it just aint working, im using the same way i made the old mx boots (lost due to harddrive fail, will remake these if anybody wants em :D) there gameready, textured uvmapped etc, just cant get it ingame anyone wanna have a shot for me? trusted people though, dont want no noobs stealing ma shit

why don't you just DL MindFuck's quad, it comes with 2 bad ass helmets and they're CLEO controlled.. http://s1.zetaboards.com/Kottons_Chop_Shop/topic/2544545/ if you want to do it yourself I completely understand.. just thought I'd suggest another route first |

aye i know mate, but i prefer the look and feel of mx helmets IRL, when i used to race pitbike supermoto i was one of few riders who would wear a mx helmet instead of fullface anyone know how to make helmets?

just model a helmet, import the original, and duplicate the specific materials n such.. but I'm kinda bored atm, if you can send me the original game dff and txd and gimme a picture of what you want, I'll hook it up for ya |

make sure to include the original game dff as well edit- nvm, thx edit- I need the original dff bro lolk, waitn to hear from yaz.. I only exported 1 of the 3 clumps- idk if it'll work or not but there's a good possibility that it will.. |

Right, think i may have figured out how to make the helmet work, but when i go to export, it say's You didn't set Skin/Vertices properly! Each Vertex must be influence by at least 1 Bone. how do i fix this? |

unless you can get all three clumps to export, it obviously won't work I did it correctly on the test I sent you, but it was only 1 clump.. but then again, you didn't tell me what happend, if it just didn't spawn or if it crashed or what.. anyways, you have to apply the skin modifier to the helmet then link the bones to it by selecting the "Bones: Add" button - when the prompt opens, select all, then select the mesh and export it |

sorry bro i didnt get a chance to reply to the pm, but it didnt work, it crashed when i changed into it in the warddrobe, i'm now gonna attempt to export again. |

Don't for get EVERY vertex needs to be attached/assigned to a bone (I tried making a ped for SA a while ago cars are WAYYY EASIER lol). look around gtaf they have a handful of rigging tutorials. |

okay i got it working, sort of.... i got rid of the error in exporting, i replaced the files, i load of the game, VOILA. it's still the original model. but i've got my mod in the player.img? |
