just do as a guy said on xentax forum:

Quote:

1. Exported a Car from Forza Studio
2. Import the Obj in 3DS Max 2010
3. Export as Open Collada dae (not the FBX one!) *1
4. Import in 3D SimEd *2
5. Export as Open Collada dae
6. Import in 3DS Max/Maya (NOT the FBX one!) *3

*1 Open Collada: http://www.opencollada.org
*2 3D SimEd Demo: http://www.sim-garage.co.uk/SimED_Demo.htm
*3 You can export as Obj from 3ds Max after Open Collada Import and then use in ANY 3D App!

trust, G would never weld anything individually- if I'm correct, he did it like I did, selected all the verts and hit weld (with a very low threshold).. altho I had to reset x on mines first, otherwise I'd end up with a 100 poly glob of shit even with a 0.0001 threshold

but if you can get those verts welded and reset x on all the parts before export, that should definitely cure your I/O woes Smoke

editah- ay G, now export that fuckr (SAdff) and import to Zm and see what happen yeah?

lod 1 is perfect
here is result after chamfer and some detaching ( you need a bit wof work but the result is definetly worth it for such great cars )

See, a little work and they work fine, so what if the mesh doesn't come out perfect.. even better cuz that way we know there won't be many guys doin :toast:

In 1 week and 4 days i'll have my .ISO

I'already tried to get it by wxRipper. Everything was fine, even after the Hotswap, the ripping started well but in the middle i get "Error @ 0 : Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" message... :shyyyt:

I'm downloading the ISO to see if i can finally get the cars... :shyyyt:

If I may ask for a few cars, I'd like these four:

Porsche Panamera
Bentley CGT
Porsche Carrera RS
Porsche 959

The last two pieces would be the most important. These are icons in Porsche's history :)

most of the questions regarding the distorted meshes have been solved in that xentax forums i think... im currently going through all the pages (yea im jobless atm lol) to see if theres a breakthrough..
many people have had those problems mentioned up there and there are some solutions that have worked for some but not for all..
For Eg: the Max Obj import options...
http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4256&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=195
Some techniques work ... others dont.... good luck gentlemen :P

guys. maybe im just baked, but i think i got a workaround to get the mesh into zmodler2. so far i tested it with 4-5 cars and they all show up just fine in zmodler. this is what i did:

Quote:

1. import lod1.obj to 3ds max

2. delete lod 2 to 5

3. convert to editable poly (ignore appearing broken vertices/normals)

4. export to .3ds

5. import to zmodeler2

--mesh can be scaled and edited and has no broken polys, uv mapping is available, however materials will be gone

result: http://www.imagebam.com/image/7db62e79000060

mapping: http://www.imagebam.com/image/8c5b3f79000069

exporting/importing to wft worked fine too. this even worked with the 'older' version of forza studio (well not the latest) :D

that works if I import the 3ds in max also  the lod 1 looks preety good :D
Now what about the badass Hq interior?

Also a pic :haha: I think the model looks good w/o any additional chamfering

*sigh*
how do you know it's 3.1? there's also 1.0, 2.0, 3.5 and 4 (I installed 3.5 last night)

and I already have 5.3.10, why do you think I askd how to run it? o.O
I've tried opening the project and debugging it, but it gets stuck with an error.. then I tried publishing it, but it compiles into an installer and not an executable :/

nvm.. I askd @xentax
