Hi there!

First, i don't know if i'm posting this at the right place, so i'm asking to admins to change it if need to!

So, i was surfing over the net and i found THIS

So, to explain in some words, it's a tool that allows you to extract car from FORZA 3 .Carbin files.

I read all the topic (i even posted ^^) but i still not understood how to do to get the files from XBOX DVD!
So, if someone knows it, i would like him/her to explain, because i'm the owner of the game and i tried everything i know to get those files in vain. I tried wx360 but it doesn't work!
If someone knows how to get this files, i can extract them and post some of them here!
just to have an idea, here the list of the cars presents in the game, all high poly!

Waiting for some comments!

Peace

Great!!

Btw, moved this topic to a more fitting location (temporary), until we can provide a D/L for the files. If there is a bigger need, maybe a "tools" section might follow where this can be moved finally.

Maybe you need a cracked software on the console or something, for example I can open UMD's (PSP disc) via USB with a cracked firmware I have.

+1 ..you'll need a chippd and/or softmodded 360, have the 360 linkd to your pc, and I think Forza3 needs copied onto the 360HD -I may be wrong about Forza3 needing to be on the actual HD, but with the original xbox, that's what we had to do..

edit- don't read this ↑ ..read that ↓

no cracked software or even a 360 needed, you can browse the .iso with the images browser of xbox backup creator, then you can go ahead and work with forza studio etc., quickbms can handle the xbox .zip files

actually quite easy just the overall process of getting proper meshes into a proper editing programm takes some time

try to remove dvds from your dvd drives (in case you have any in there) and try again.

but be warned, you need microsoft visual studio express c# and the XNA framework just to run forza studio, and a full version of 3dsimED for proper opencollada export.

well and 3ds max of course for the .obj crap .. so yeah it's not like extract the file, import it and start work - it does take some effort.

it shows "this is not a true 1 to 1 copy of the image". And when i launch image browser is like if i haven't no CD in, it don't show nothing!
I heard about some "xtreme firmware". Does it have something to have with this problem?

well the images browser is used to load the .iso of forza, doesnt have anything to do with a 360/firmware flash

if not even that works for you, sorry - its a matter of 2 clicks here.

yes. well and you really dont need a 360, just the .iso if you wanna rip car files.

for example, forza's porsche panamera:

the thing is just you cant get materials and i dont really have any textures, so just the pure mesh without anything. although those meshes are fuckin sexy :D and since Turn10 actually modelled everything from badges to grills, remapping wouldnt be much of a problem.

see i started maping the 458 italia in zm, out of fun:

everythings there, only the doors arent cut out just like in nfs shift, with the difference that forza meshes are way higher detailed

i was seeing progress on xtx file format, so perhaps we even get the textures :P
