[justify=680]![]() source. The Weeping Towers “Grief is perhaps an unknown territory for you. You might feel both helpless and hopeless without a sense of a ‘map’ for the journey. Confusion is the hallmark of a transition. To rebuild both your inner and outer world is a major project. Truly, if you open a quarrel between past and present, you shall find that you have lost the future.” KING: AESON QUEEN: xxx HEIR: xxx MISTRESSES: Thara, Ravenelle, Muse, and Vexare MINORS: xxx EARL: xxx EARL’S MISTRESSES: xxx EARL’S MINORS: xxx CAPTIVES: xxx COVETED: xxx ACCEPTED: Papillon [sister] and Dittany [&Thea] ALLIES: Relic [Kherulian Fief] ADVERSARIES: xxx REMOVED: Chryseis [dead], Mae [dead], and Piper [missing] - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ - RULESI. The King’s word is final. The Queen’s word is also final if she has discussed the subject with the King and he gives her permission. II. If a mare wishes to become Queen, she must challenge the current Queen in the battle grounds. It is advisable for the mare to speak to the King in case he vetoes her argument. If the mare challenging wins and has the King’s approval, then she becomes the new Queen. Your character must wait one Kormadian year before challenging again if they are not successful, including the defeated Queen. III. No one must leave the land without permission from the King. Quarry journeys undertaken by any mare are excused from this rule, but are expected to return with the foal as soon as she is able. IV. Having a foal is a privilege. If the King doesn’t approve of any mare’s parenting skills or doubts her loyalty to him, he has the right to withhold children from her. V. If a foal is born defected or not the preferred sex, the mare cannot destroy it or abandon it without the King seeing it first. He will then decide its fate (this rule might be excused for plot purposes, but please discuss it with me first!) VI. If you do not respond to herd topics, then your character will be considered inactive and excluded from future herd topics. Posts in the vacation board will be taken into consideration. VII. Allow the King, Queen, or Earl to approach strangers first, even if they are welcome/allies. VIII. The Earl is held at the same authority as the Queen. He is allowed a certain number of mares (specific terms discussed with the King). VIIII. Consistent bullying/harassment in either OOC or IC (unless specifically plotted for IC) will result in punishment from the King, and a possible ban from the herd. X. Do not expect the King to create every single topic. Herd members are encouraged to create their own topics and interact with each other. IX. If you have any plot ideas, please share! They are greatly welcomed. Have fun! Some rules © Devotchka. - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ - TERRITORY DESCRIPTION “The most sacred place in Kormada, battles are continuously fought for control of it.” The Weeping Towers is a coastal territory, with one side of it lined by a clean beach with pearly white sands. After a few yards, the sands give away into a short stretch of beach grass, and then merge into the large trees that frame the shoreline, and the rest of the borders. This forest dots the entirety of the Towers, thinning in some places, while quite thick in others. Where there are no trees, there are softly rolling hills of meadows; these clearings vary in size, from large to small. Within a few of these meadows, there are bubbling streams of clear water, which eventually thread together before being released into the ocean. And of course, there are the namesakes for this sacred territory, which are the two large ancient towers. They stand near the heart of the territory, and can be seen from any point within the borders, and even miles beyond. Overall, there is a sense of peace and purity within The Weeping Towers. Being part of the Offland, the four seasons are very distinct. Summer can be quite warm, but the heat is not unbearable, especially with a large amount of shade to cool down. Autumn is characterized by the cooler weather and the leaves changing colors on the trees. There is snow in winter, which tends to be rather cold, but again, it is tolerable. Spring is obviously beautiful, where all of the plants thrive and the grass is most abundant. [/justify] |
