![]() ;;ASHLYN|| Well, that was a bust. This was all the beautifully painted of a spectacle mare could think. Since Omen's disappearance she took some time to herself, before she plummeted herself into mundane boredness that came from accepting the home with Lestat. He was a nice enough stallion, and she had tried to find a hint of a spark with him, if just enough of one not to bore her to death. But it never happened, and then he disappeared. Unclear whether he was alive or dead and not with an ounce of care large enough to find out, she left Boulder Pass, before another stallion picked up on his absence and attempted claiming her and the land. With apprehension of his return, Ashlyn wouldn't waste anymore time. Nearing her twelfth birthday was something she would have to conquer with a grain of salt. Though the dark mare still had all the makings of a queen, and the looks to suffice, the talent here on Kormada was turning out to be a shallow pool. So many youngsters, strutting around as if the sudden ability to breed made them worthy of her. She wasn't sure what she wanted, she knew she was long tired of the boredom and solitude, though most other equines annoyed her. What a sticky predicament. Green eyes shifted toward the landscape in the distance, really not sure where to go and what to do next. She was not in need of saving, and if any stallion approached her in such a manner, they would soon find their newly discovered ability to breed taken from them all too soon. When irritated, this painted mare was not above low blows. And so, with thoughts of sunshine and butterflies, the mare awaits. |

Kemik 'Such a strange place' The lone palomino stallion thought as his solid hooves kicked up puffs of dirt from the floor. His bright blue eyes scanned the lands; this was his first time here, needless to say he was rather nervous. His father always talked about his journeys here, though Kemik chose to not really pay attention to them because he really couldn't see his father talking to any other mare other than his mother, although now he sure did wish he had been listening so he could have picked up a few things from the old man. Kemik smirked, his father was an old brute but when it came to mares he was a smooth sailor. The stallion was sure that with all the time he spent with his father before his death, some of his charm had to have rubbed off on him... surely right? As he continued on his path passing a few groups he started to have second thoughts. At this moment he wished he had his mothers bravery, what a spit fire that Trisscar was. Most of the mares he saw were already engaged in what looked like thrilling conversation with other stallions. Kemik was no vulture, he wouldn't pick at what others had already started to consume. Pity, there was some actual potential in some of those mares, though nothing really struck him as lead material. He had just claimed his grandfathers old land of Grimoire Sound, a land rightfully his by Lineage. He wasn't just in the homeless looking for a mare to bring home, he was looking for a strong equine with smarts to aid him in ruling over the land, a mare that had backbone, a mare with beauty inside and out. As cliche as that sounded, that's how his father always described a lead should be. Strong, feared, loved, and beautiful, but looking around he didn't quite see anything that could fit the description. The palomino was just about to turn his muscled form around when he caught a sweet scent in the wind that ticked his muzzle and tussled his long thick mane. He turned his gaze up wind to where the intoxicating scent was coming from. He was intrigued because this mare was alone. His ice blue gaze followed up to a stunning painted beauty. Before he realized it his muscled legs were taking him to her direction. As he drew nearer the beauty looked as if she were miles away, and she was irritated, Kemik snorted. Irritation was not a good look on her features, he simply didn't like that. He paced himself up to her, he never knew why some stallions kept their distance, waiting to be acknowledged. Mares came here for a reason, and that was to be claimed by a stallion who can provide and protect them. Any mare who dispises that obviously isn't worth the time, might as well let them claim the land and boss their lead around. Boy was she a site, her painted coat looked as if it had been painted on to perfection. Looking through his thick forelock that covered half of his eyes, he was entranced. She had gorgeous green eyes, it was as if his icy eyes gazed upon the heart of the forest. He gave a respectful bow of his head in greetings. "Good evening M'lady," He paused, "I am Kemik, Lead of Grimoire Sound. If I may ask, what might I address you by?" |
