No heads turned when Mutiny entered the grounds, her perfect stocking legs seemingly floating with her lengthy gait. She moved passed clusters of bodies unnoticed, her dark brown pelt glistening with sweat as she slowed to a halt away from all the others. Her ears flicked behind her and she let out a quiet snort of acknowledgement as the sound of approaching hooves slowed to a halt beside her. ”You should go back and try to talk to someone, no good will come from standing off by yourself.” Mutiny rolled her eyes. Nahla’s frequent instructions on how she should go about her business were welcomed, she was her mother after all, but they were hardly ever put into action. Mutiny had her own way of going about things.

”I think I’ll stay right here. I rather enjoy having space to breathe.” Nahla frowned. ”I am well aware of your wish for me to join a herd, Mother, but I refuse to give chase. If they can’t be bothered to swagger over here, why should I inconvenience myself?” Nahla opened her mouth to argue, but quickly closed it with a sigh. A mother knows a lost cause when she sees one. ”As you wish.” She said, defeated. Mutiny watched as her mother walked a few steps away and started to graze. Her blue eyes scanning around the territory briefly to take in the surroundings before lowering her head to pick at the blades of grass by her hooves to pass the time.

Mutiny speaking / / Nahla speaking

OOC: Nahla is not real. She is a delusion brought on by Mutiny's psychotic break. Also as a heads up, I'm going to be uuuuuber rusty. So be gentle with me :]

The liver chestnut looked around the grounds. A place he had not visited in quite a while. He smiled at the thought of hopefully bringing a new mare to his home in Council Cove. It had been a while since the stallion had more than one mare in his land. Currently it was only Katya who had stayed with him, Ifrit and Florida had both disappeared. However Frodo had never owned Florida since the mare was a rogue but Ifrit was under his claim. He wondered if Calex had lured her back to live with him. The liver chestnut stallion pushes the thought away as he would not like to bother over the mare right now. He looks around, taking a deep breath before he pushes his sixteen hand form forth.

The Icelandic stallion had been trotting around the grounds for a while now but not a mare had caught his attention. He slows down and comes to a halt, he doesn't stand near her, but close enough to see her build and coat color. The mare was alone which was even more interesting. A pleased expression washes over the stallion as he starts to approach the mare. The stallion walks slowly towards the mare, his head held high. Frodo comes to a halt when he is close to the mare and his lips part as he speaks. "My lady" he says and bows his head a little. He looks the mare into the eyes as he speaks. "My name is Frodo, of Council Cove, who would you be?" he asks the mare with a calm voice.

RAFE;;

As pretty as Cait is, she's pregnant now....And Rafe won't lie, when he says that the appeal is gone. In the midst of summer, with two testy mares, both pregnant, he needed escape. So the Homeless grounds it is, even if Rafe finds the other stallions distasteful. Seriously, some of the things that come out of their mouths. Even with no one around, he pins one of his ears back and rolls his eyes.

It is in this way he happens upon a pretty mare, coat a striking bay splashed with white. She's already got two admireers, a plain bay and a rather exotic looking pintaloosa. Not that he's any competition for Rafe's cherry-bay, striped, overo coat; even among the oddest of equines he stands out. Based on how quiet the little grouping is, he imagines they've already asked for her name and exchanged the same petty pleasantries.

He's bored with those, so instead of any sort of typical approach, he draws close and traces his muzzle across her neck, moving away quickly in the hopes she isn't the type to lash out--and that if she does, he's managed to dodge it. He shoots her his most charming smile, pale blue eyes glinting before he murmurs, "These two are rather boring. Save yourself the effort and come home with me, sweetheart."

Unfortunately, the silence doesn’t last nearly as long as Mutiny had expected. Her black ears flick back as she hears her mother come back to stand beside her.”They appear to have more interest than you give them credit for...” Mutiny raises her head in curiosity, ears pointing forward and following the direction of her mother’s gaze. A tall dark brown stallion was beginning to approach. She swallows a nervous lump in her throat, and shifts her body to face him. “Be calm, be yourself, and remember your manners.” Mutiny snorts in agitation, tired of her mother’s advice and hovering. She watches as Nahla nods in understanding and backs away slowly before turning her attention back to the brown stallion. She stands motionless as he bows, as she's unsure if bowing in return is customary, and listens as he speaks to her. His voice is calm, soothing almost, until he asks her name. What was her name? She glances over to her mother, who managed to move behind the stallion so Mutiny could see her without having to turn her head at all, a questioning look on her face. But before her mother had a chance to reply, another stallion surprises her with his entrance.

The new stallion is more colorful, white with splashes that were almost the same color as the stallion that called himself Frodo, but it was the newcomer’s blue eyes that caught her attention. She could tell that he had some troubles behind them. He, too, questions about her name. She struggles for a second, glancing back over at her mother for reassurance only to find that she was no longer there. A moment of panic comes over her, and it begins to consume her before a reassuring nuzzle on her neck from her mother calms her back down.
“Mutiny. My name is Mutiny.” She says quickly, her voice trembling from nervousness. “Relax. Breathe.” She takes a moment to collect herself, her voice now more confident and feminine. “Forgive me. I know not where Council Cove is, but The Faults seems to have quite the stigma about it around here.” She grins coyly, opening her mouth to speak again before flicking her ears at the sounds of another approaching.

She stays put as he draws close to her, her eyes flickering closed as he makes contact with her flesh. This is the first time another horse besides her mother has touched her in years. The warmth she feels from his muzzle is enticing, exciting even. Like nothing she has experienced before. She opens her eyes, looking into his blue eyes as he calls to her. She surprises herself with thoughts actually considering his ‘invitation’, but her mother quickly reels her back in.
“You do not know his name or where he lives, and his introduction was less than mannerly.” If she wasn’t being watched by three suitors, Mutiny would have rolled her eyes at her. Manners had little to do with the world they lived in after all; either you belonged, or you didn’t. It was that simple. She laughs, and takes a small step towards the newest member of their group. “Do you call all the mares you court sweetheart? It seems a bit… deceptive.” She grins slyly. “These other fine stallions have told me their names and lands, would you care to give yours? Charms will only manage to get you so far.” She stands in the middle of her three suitors, not realizing that her mother has once again disappeared as she looks back and forth between them while she waits for one of them to speak.

His ears rotate when he hears someone approach. The colorful stallion had approached only few seconds after Frodo, the chestnut's guess was that he had already been on his way towards her when Frodo had approached. Not that it mattered much to the stallion, he had never heard that being the first to approach made any difference. It was the way he approached that would make the difference. In his time that he had been in Kormada the stallion had made some mistakes in the homeless but had had been able to learn from them. He watches as the colorful stallion joins the duo, there is something about that stallion that made Frodo curious, whether it was his scent or appearance, he couldn't tell. His ears prick up when he hears the stallions location, the Faults. That is when Frodo realized where the familiarity came from, the stallion carried a similar scent as his ally Ares. Frodo however didn't care much and turned his attention to the mare that would hopefully soon tell them her name.

The mare speaks quickly, and he can hear her voice tremble a little. The sixteen hand stallion wonders what is bothering the mare, but that was non of his business. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mutiny" he says, and a smirk appears on his dark colored lips. The mare talks again and mentions that she does not know where Council Cove is, but she has heard about the Faults. Frodo knew that Council Cove was a rather fresh territory, and probably not many equines had heard of it though some had. He smiles calmly to the mare before he speaks. "Council Cove is actually located in the Marredland, like the Faults" he adds. When Frodo had finished speaking he can see a stallion approach the mare, the chestnut watches him carefully. It was a very eyecatching stallion, and he probably had many mares under his claim that were attracted by his looks. Soon, the stallion makes a bold move and touches the mare with his muzzle. After he pulls away from the mare he speaks, the chestnut stallion was not able to catch the whole sentence but he hears it when the stallion offers the mare a home, only a second after he had met her.

The chestnut admired the stallion's confidence, but Frodo knew that he would never allow a mare into his herd without knowing at least few basic things about the mare. Frodo was very careful with who he let into his herd, he wanted to make sure that his current residents would be safe. The Icelandic stallion stays silent and glances over at the mare, wondering what she will do. The tall stallion can't hide the smile that appears on his lips when the mare speaks. This mare appeared to have the sense not to join the first stallion that flirts his way towards her. The chestnut was very impressed by her actions and he of course didn't hate it when he was called a fine stallion.

Rafe's ears flicker back in amusement at the looks the other stallions shoot him. He grins at them even as they smirk, or watch in amusement; he's happy with the reception the mare gave him. A step forward, a laugh, all indicate he hasn't put her off by his overt flirtations, instead he's perhaps intrigued her. And while even he wouldn't be vain enough to let a mare in his herd who willingly accepted that offer without a second glance, it doesn't make the flirting any less fun (and often times effective). But she doesn't chase him away, simply teases right back and really that's all Rafe can hope for. He laughs at her comment a smiles right back, teasing, "Are you saying you aren't sweet, then? Lucky for you, that's just my type." He winks, before throwing out casually, "But as I seem to have missed your name, I have to call you something. Perhaps you would prefer gorgeous? I wouldn't be opposed to it."

He settles easily into his spot beside the other two stallions, listening carefully to what they have to say since he interrupted rather rudely. The bay remains silent, watching in the wings and Rafe shoots him a cocky little smirk when he apparently has nothing to add. It's the brightly-colored pintaloosa he is interested in, as he seems a more viable competition for the mare, simply because he seems more outspoken.

Rafe rolls his eyes at the name dropping, because yes, of course, the stallion must let everyone know who exactly his sire is (and, by extension, gradsire). But he also notices that the pintaloosa doesn't even have a land of his own apparently, still at home with his father. Perhaps he should have killed his uncle and taken a land for himself. Then he wouldn't be stuck in the faults, forever the heir of a stallion who refuses to die. And haven't they all been there before?

When it's finally his turn to speak (because yes, he does have some manners, he understands the order of things, he just doesn't like it) Rafe doesn't hesitate before grinning and smoothly saying, "I'm Rafe, and I live in Hope's Marsh, a pretty little territory in the Tranceland." He pauses for a moment before adding, "And if it's fathers we are discussing, mine is Rowan, though I promise I'm much more interesting than he ever was."
