Flora
Mare - Orlov Trotter hybrid x Thoroughbred hybrid - Palomino Roan - 17.2hh - Rogue

The palomino roan maiden heaved herself on to the shores of foaling quarry very much out of breath. In the months during her pregnancy she had berated herself harshly for choosing to have a foal of her own. It was foolish of her to do so especially because she is so young and no one to help her if anything goes awry. Her own mother had left her shortly after her third birthday which she did not mind, for she had her life under control. Despite all her misgivings the Palomino Roan three year old could not make herself regret carrying this foal to term. Before her mother had left her to begin a new life with a stallion that could offer her a home Flora had expressed a wish to speak with her father. Adonia respected that but had no intentions of meeting up with the sire of both of her current daughters. It had been Flora's intention to seek him out and meet him, but since she had gotten herself knocked up she decided to wait until after the foals birth to have the conversation. Flora was brought out of her inner musings by a sharp kick to her ribs. For a moment her ears pinned back at the momentary pain but she relaxed as it subsided.

The foal had grown rapidly early on and had moved around a bunch which for the most part had caused Flora quiet a bit of discomfort but like her mother she was not a complainer and took each day as it was and just looked forward to the time when she would deliver the foal. Now that the time had come to finally bring the foal into the world Flora was a bit more nervous than she had expected to be. As the first (but thankfully) mild contraction made a grimace appear on her pretty face. She knew she had better find a spot that was rather secluded to bring her first foal into the world. The mare walked through the quarry searching for a spot in which to give birth she was checking out a small glen that looked suitable when the first big contraction hit and the tall mare nearly dropped to her knees but ended up catching her self. Flora's nerves were becoming a bit frayed as the hour of reckoning grew closer. The palomino roan maiden figured that the small shady glen would be as good of a place as any, so she slowly sank to her knees and then rolled to her side and not a moment too soon as the contractions became harder and harder. Flora spent what felt like and eternity (really only an hour) laying on the ground pushing with the pain wanting to relieve her body of the burden it had carried for eleven long months.

The maiden mare was covered in sweat and dirt from the grass and even the little shade that the glen provided was not enough to keep her cool. Her golden mane was matted to her neck and she felt exhausted. Flora realized something was very wrong when she craned her neck to see the fruit of her effort and saw nothing. The cold hard truth sank in to the young maiden mares mind, this might be her last foal if she did not give birth sooner rather than later. So the exhausted young mare who was matted with sweat and grim kept pushing not knowing what else to do, she prayed to who ever was up there to help her make it.

Alecto Does Not Have A Lisp.
It is just the way he talks. Sort of like a Snake.
