Klauw was finding the Foaling Quarry to be a very familiar place - almost like a second home to her. She was always either in Zythric's land, or here. But she loved it this way. She loved producing him foals. She felt like it drew them closer together, and she loved all her children. Bracken was all grown up and with a claimer, and this pleased Klauw greatly. She was so proud of her firstborn. Her son, Parthenon, was changing. He was developing different characteristics in his personality that had the mare watching him closely. It concerned her, but she did not want him to realize that she was keeping a close eye on him. He was speedily growing to become a stallion. She just wanted him to be a responsible, wise one that would make her and Zythric proud. And then there was Iztiar, another precious daughter. The young filly was only a year old, and already growing fast. The mare loved her so much. But, despite this, Klauw was hoping for another colt this time. The contractions started up again, and Klauw slowly made her way over to a meadow that was like a shallow cup in the ground, with hills guarding it on all sides. She descended the hills and wandered into the pretty meadow that had yellow dandelions growing all over. A shadow from a large cloud covered the entire meadow, and offered a pleasant form of shade for the hot, sweaty mare. Klauw laid down and began the long process of bringing her foal out of the womb and into Kormada. After about five hours, Klauw gave birth to another beautiful foal - a filly. The mare cleaned her off and recited the names of her children in her head: "Bracken, Parthenon, Iztiar... I shall name you Puma." |
