ANAEL;;

She's nervous to be here. There's nothing inherently intimidating about the Homeless, sure, but Anael isn't used to being watched, stared at, approached, sought after. Sure, her coat had always attracted a glance or two, but she was altogether unassuming enough that no one paid much mind to her. She liked it that way, in all honesty. The way that other equine's gaze slip across her and pass quickly by is comforting.

But now, she's in this place where the sole purpose is to be seen, to be carted off and admired. Ana doesn't like it. She makes a dissatisfied face, but stops in front of a drift of snow. It's cold out, but Prime is shining strongly enough that after her walk and through her thick winter coat, Anael almost feels hot. She shakes and smiles happily at the feel of water leaving her fur.

She calls out quietly, snorting as soon as she does. Maybe that was dumb? But she's alone, and she wants this over. Ana looks around once more and then scratches at the ground, fidgeting, anxious to see if anyone will even respond.

Winter’s breath lulls him from the depths of lazy summer slumber. Crystalline frost lies heavy against his mane, dampening his breath as it plumes into oblivion. The Homeless lay silently beneath the resentful, bitter winter winds. Prime’s rays gleam against a sea of hoarfrost that ripples with the dormant grasses. He watches for some time, as he always does, sheltered beneath the naked boughs of an old, decrepit tree. Snow begins to drift, creating fictitious formations and dangerous footing. Scents whisper and temp stallions from the deepest fissures of shadow. They wait like vultures on fence posts for something to creep in and fall to an untimely death against the jagged rocks below. The Homeless is a trap for the lost and weary.

A gentle call catches his listening ears, steals his ragged breath. She is alone.

For a moment he mistakes her odd dapples for snow, he himself being burdened with frost and ice. His whiskers are heavy with his frozen breath, but he smiles gently anyhow. His eyes, dark and warm despite the cold, search for hers.

“Hello, lady.” He says in a voice like the winds that howl through the Loftland. “My name is Icarus.” He says with a nod of his head.

It's not much of a life you're living
It's not just something you take, it's given
The paint stallion had been staying in the homeless for some time now but he was thinking about heading home soon. The weather was cold and he needed to get back to his mares. So far he had claimed two mares; one of them had arrived with a foal. Théoden had accepted the foal into the herd, he wasn't going to scolds the mare for having a life before joining the herd. The sixteen hand stallion slowly wanders through the territory. It was cold but luckily the stallion had a thick coat that protected him from the cold.

As the dun overo looked around for mares a quiet call reached his ears. It was from a mare and he assumed that if the mare was calling she was likely alone. He turned around and began trotting towards the sound. He slowed down when he noticed another stallion close to her. He wasn't sure if he had just arrived or if he had been there for a while. However it didn't stop Théoden from approaching the mare. A smile crosses his lips before he comes to a halt close to the mare and the other stallion.

"Hello" he says politely, „My name is Théoden" the blue eyed stallion continued. "I hope I am not intruding" he says with a little bit of questioning in his vice. His black tail swings from right to left as he waits for an answer. He was hoping that the other stallion had just arrived otherwise he would feel impolite for barging into their conversation.

Relic
"Its Quality not Quantity that makes life worth living..."

Relic was not a stranger to being ignored, though he was handsome in build musculature he had none
of the white markings that the ladies seemed to prefer these days. Relic smiled a bit, he had three lovely
mares at home waiting his return, and he was not particularly looking to add any more to his herd of
three. The bright bay stallion was very happy with the three mares he held in his claim, and though one
more might be nice four mares would be the absolute maximum amount of mares he would hold. He did
not favor overly large herds, he himself grew up with barely three mares in his fathers herd and Azalea was
not present half the time any way. Need less to say that he liked the concept of a large family but he would
prefer it in the form of many years of healthy offspring. Relic paced through the homeless grounds puffs of
steam exited from his flared nares. It was the dead middle of winter and Relics bright bay coat had grown
shaggy and thick, despite the lack of the typical hearty blood in his veins Relic managed fairly well durring
the winter months of Kormada. Though his home was mostly tropical and it never snowed, he still grew out
the coat and even though it was certainly a hinderace in his own home when he stepped outside the warm
paradise he was very glad that he the extra layer.

Relic combined the best atributes of both his mother and father. He had his mother thoroughbred body
and sprinters build, while he had his fathers bright bay attractive coat coloring. As Relic scanned the mares
he saw a few that he would have liked to get to know better but he always found an excuse not to approach
them. Either they were already talking to too many stallions or there was something about them that he
noticed from afar that made him turn away. After a few hours of casually looking through the mares he was
almost sure that he would just stick with the three mares he had and be happy, when a mare caught his
eye. To say that she was eye catching would be the understatement of the century. Though she was
not flashy like many mares here there was something about her that drew you in. Relic began his approach
with out even realizing he had even made a decision. There was something understated about this mare that
appealed to him very much. He was a few yards away still about to announce his name and such when
another stallion cut him off. Relic just moved away not wanting a confrontation Relic simply moved out of
his way and waited until after he had introduced himself. When it was finally his turn Relic's features
upturned into a friendly relaxed smile, his eyes were a warm and contented brown color. "Hello Mad'am, It is a
bit chilly out here compared to my home."
He told her smiling a bit, just trying to be friendly. "I suppose I should
introduce myself, I am Relic of Kherulian Fief and I take the neutral alliance."
Relic in all honesty was more of a
light than a neutral but he did not want to confine himself to a black or white alliance rather he much preferred
to be somewhere in the middle. Hence him taking the alliance of a neutral.

ANAEL;;

The response she receives is almost immediate. It figures, seeing how there didn't seem to be any more mares on this side of the Homeless. But still, she's surprised because it isn't one stallion but three, who rapidly move in front of her and introduce themselves. The first to approach is covered in snow, but even under the coating Anael can see he cuts a handsome figure. He's got an obvious draft influence, his broad shoulders and strong lines evidence of this. His eyes are kind and that is what stirs Ana the most when he speaks. His voice is soft and polite, and Anael is calm enough to offer a tentative smile in return. It's at this point Anael opens her mouth to respond, but stops short when the second of her suitors arrives.

He's almost more striking than the last, with startlingly blue eyes and a pretty, pale-painted coat. He speaks quickly and while the first stallion--Icarus, she reminds herself- isn't ignored, he's not exactly acknowledged either. Ana wasn't familiar with the protocols here, but more than one stallion approached a mare? It seems stressful just to deal with one, but if there is multiple, she has better choices? Anael isn't exactly sure how to respond, because he is interrupting, but it doesn't seem as if he's all that apologetic, no matter what he says. She's going to shrug it off, and finish her own introduction when the final stallion approaches.

Yet again, she admires the stallion, confident with his striking bay coat. And apparently, he's much more verbose than the other two, because he's spouting off a greeting and where he lives and his alliance. Anael watches, uncomfortable, but nods politely. As soon as he finishes, she smiles nervously and manages to say, "Uhm, Hello Icarus, Theoden, and Relic" she nods to each one in turn. "I'm Anael. It's nice to meet you all?" Ana shifts nervously but makes herself stay in place; running would just be rude, even if she wants to.

Icarus is perhaps relieved when the mare offers him a fleeting smile. She is nervous, he can tell, and he can feel the tension she creates as another stallion joins them. Icarus cannot help but feel protective of her already, and so he positions his body ever so slightly between the dappled mare and Théoden. Still he nods in greeting to the paint stallion.

“Of course not,” he lies in reply. “join us.” he welcomes with a smile that rests on the edge of a smirk. Icarus studies the stallion with quick, calculated precision before deciding he is of little threat. Théoden is smaller boned and more breakable than Icarus.

Another answers the call of the mare. Icarus watches as the red bay makes his approach and chimes in to the conversation. Icarus offers no smile or nod to the newest arrival, as the bright bay stallion is obviously oblivious to anyone but the maiden. Icarus turns his attention to Ana, his gaze perhaps a little warmer than usual as if to comfort her.

“It is nice to meet you as well.” Icarus replies. “Perhaps we should get out of here.” He says, motioning to the other stallions as if they were a nuisance.... because they are. He flicks his tail carelessly, waiting for the mare’s reply.

Théoden did not feel invited at all, though he didn't let it affect him. The way the other stallion placed himself slightly between him and the mare annoyed the dunskin stallion. Instead of whining and feeling sorry for entering their conversation he would enjoy having a conversation with the mare. The stallion was of course a competition but he was not going to allow him to get on his nerves. Soon a bay stallion approaches, introducing himself as Relic of Kherulian Fief. Théoden didn’t exactly know where this territory was located nor did he mind much. Théoden's attention is brought to the mare when she starts speaking. She introduces herself as Anael. Théoden's ears rotate towards the stallion who he assumed was Icarus when he spoke. "I see you didn't forget to bring the confidence with you" Théoden replied with annoyed and frustrated voice. The stallion was of course not talking to him but he didn't mind much.

"It is nice to meet you as well" Théoden says to the mare as if nothing had happened earlier. "I hold claim over Bracken Bracken located in the Northern Mainland so it is not far from here" he says with a smile on his lips. It was very nice to live so close to the homeless grounds, it would make it easy for the stallion to travel to the homeless in days like these. "It is very beautiful there" Théoden says to the mare. He hoped he hadn't ruined his chance of claiming her with his little incident earlier.
