Lycan's graceful, elegant form crossed into the battlegrounds as the autumn wind blew through the territory. The smell of decay stung his nares but he ignored the sensation. He hadnt seen diego since he made his second challenge for the white mare kohani. Kohani... She was his inspiration for this battle, and he refused to lose. Heck, he wasnt even sure if diego was going to show his face.

Instead of finding an advantage that he would only have to give away at the start of the battle, the white stud looked for an area that would serve as an equal playing field. In the battlegrounds, he looked like a mirror image of his sire. He sighed. It was his purpose to carry on Savros's legacy through his own offspring, but before that he needed mares, hence his arrival here.

A low rumble was released as he found the ideal location for his purposes. A circular area, surrounded by trees, with no visible advantages that could aid either stallion. Now all that was to do was to wait for the buckskin to show himself. And to win.

Diego trotted into the battle grounds in no hurry at all. Diego knew this fool would loose again if he challenged him. Diego had beat him before and would do it again. The large buckskin stallion had decided he was going to fight for Kohani before he had left the Grindstone, but as he made the journey to the battle grounds a thought had slowly pushed to the for front of his mind. Kohani had been nothing more than a problem to him for a long time, she disobeyed and was secretive. Diego found out that he could not trust her and it was unlikely that he ever would trust another mare again. The buckskin stallion picked up his pace just a margin, what if he was to give Kohani away to Lycan, that would give Diego a way to avoid a fight for something he was not all that interested in as well as getting rid of the problem at the same time. A small grin appeared on Diego's face, he was liking the idea more and more as he thought about his plan. Of course there would have to be some conditions, such as the foal Kohani was currently carrying would be returned to him as soon as it was born to be nursed by a surrogate. The idea was still swirling around his head when he emerged into the clearing where the other stallion stood.

A cool and arrogant smirk crossed his features. "I see that you gained no common sense from my beating the last time." Diego smiled coldly at the pale stallion who opposed him. "As much as I would enjoy thoroughly beating you and sending you scurrying with your tail between your leg, I do have a proposition for you." Diego cleared his throat a little and raised his voice to make sure there were no misunderstandings. "I will give you Kohani, with out a fight but I have one... The foal she is carrying will be returned to me as soon as is able and that is all." Diego watched the other with a neutral expression.
