WELL SWEET MOTHER TERESA ON THE HOOD OF A MERCEDES BENZ

i don't want to lose control but i'm falling
Karli was still reeling a little by the fact she was even here at all. Having lived in her sire’s shadow, she had been convinced by the time she was three years old her father would have decided where she would be sent to. She had always gone along with this motion, as much as she had detested the idea, and had been amazed when she had walked away from her home with no hindrance. She tried to ignore the tensions that had been growing between her parents, although the creamy coloured mare had an idea this was partially why she had gotten off so lightly. Her two tone face glanced round the homeless a little mournfully. She was a dark by default, considering who her parents were, but she was on the meeker end of the spectrum. She had impressive bloodlines, but one would not think this by the way Karli presented herself.

She shuffled forwards, her pale tail firmly pinioned to her rump and her pinkish lips creasing in mild disdain. She did not think much of this place. Her dam had never been enthusiastic about it whenever Karli had asked, and now the perlino female knew why. It was not warm, the sky was overcast and Prime was hidden by torrents of thick clouds. It was mid-afternoon, but it could be early evening for the amount of light was given to the equines of Kormada. Only Karli’s coat, bright and shimmering, seemed to catch any kind of light. The young mare cast her blue eyes down shamefully, hiding herself near the fringe of trees round a clearing. She was unusual looking and hated it. Why couldn’t she have been born a plain bay, she would have been much happier.

Karli’s face was split in two by her markings. Her white side, stark compared to the satin hue of the other, faced towards the mild shadow. Her eyes darted round, making sure she wasn’t being followed before the perlino splash melted into the woods. This was ridiculous. How was she supposed to find a home if she refused to let anyone come near her? The nervous mare continued through the woods. She decided her problem was that she hated the element of surprise. The idea of being followed or sneaked up on was loathsome to the mare. Karli decided, in her walking, she would find a place where she could spot who was approaching her. Fortunately, the woods began to thin, and as she came back into the open, she spotted a hill not too far from where she was standing.

Karli began to trot, her head swinging low, her movements graceful but quick as she neared the top of the hill. Her legs began to work a little harder as she climbed, but she reached the peak in no time at all and wasn’t too worn out by her climb. Finishing at a halt, the mare snorted to herself in satisfaction. Now she was on top of a hill, she could see anyone coming for miles. A small sigh exhaled from the pale mare as she waited, hoping her plan hadn’t been for nothing.

Quote/Song verse
A tall stallion walked slowly around in the woods part of the territory. He had been here for a week now and was thinking about heading home. He had taken a short trip to the battle grounds few days ago to steal a mare from a stallion living in North Codex. The dapple gray stallion came out of it woundless as the other stallion had chickened out and decided not to show up to protect his mare. The mare the dapple gray had now claimed was Safira, it was a beautiful mare but she looked a bit mad, Legolas wasn’t really surprised since he had stolen her but it looked like her previous claimer didn’t mind so much since he didn’t show up. The drafty looking stallion walked slowly in the woods. There was really no one here around. He was getting a bit tiered of the talking to mares since it was not his best weapon to be charming or melt mares with words.

After a while a mare walked past the stallion. He watched her walk past him but did nothing. It was a pretty mare and would likely be worth to approach. His eyes followed the mare as she walked out of the woods. For a moment the stallion thought about approaching her. For the first time he had seen a mare that was not herded by stallions. He wasn’t sure but it looked like the stallions that came first had a slightly more chance, but it might also just be some unwritten „rule” among stallions that the one who got first was the best option. The stallion was decided to follow the mare and hoped that he could have a conversation with her unless she had went too far for his eyes to see her.

The stallion started to walk out of the woods the same way the mare had went. His mane flowed like waves when he walked. His feathery legs came out of the woods and the first thing he saw was a hill. On top of the hill he noticed a white looking equine, he assumed it was the mare he saw earlier and if the wind was carrying the right scent it was her. The stallion starts walking slowly towards the hill; he didn’t want to freak out the mare by rushing towards her. Once the ground starts moving up the stallion keeps his head low while he walks. His front leg muscles flex when he walks and soon he gets close to the top. When the stallion is almost at the top he raises his head and notices the mare, it looked like the same one he saw in the woods.

Legolas looked into the mares eyes, noticing that she had blue eyes. He himself had rather light brown eyes close to looking gold. The stallion cleared his throat and began to speak. “I’m Legolas, owner of Raven’s Thicket” he says introducing himself to the perlino mare. “Is there a chance I could hear yours?” he says a little formal. The stallion was used to get rather formal when meeting new equines and talking. He chose his words carefully and made sure that nonsense words didn’t flow out of his mouth.

Akane
Dark 4 yr old son of Savros and Werecat

This was an entirely new experience for him. He was now old enough to try his hand at wooing a female. Not sure how to go about this or what to do. His father had taught him a little bit. But he was really too young to really understand what he was being taught. The lippizaner hybrid moves fluidly through the Homeless Grounds. His arabian side of his breeding show through on his curved neck. Though he reflect more of his lippizaner sire. His coat is the classic grey with one glaring exception. There is what is known as blood marking on his rump and neck. Its more extensive on his rump and hind legs. It looks like he is still greying out but it is permanent. The red is a lovely shade like that of his mother. Mane and tail are thick and long. True he was one the ladies may swoon for but he wasn't going to shove it in their face.

Pausing for a moment the young stallion is nervous. He didn't really have his own land. He had to share it with his older brother. So what else did he have to offer a mare? For a Dark he wasn't that Dark. He could easily pass for a Neutral or even a Light. He would allow his mares freedom to do pretty much anything. Ambition was not his friend. All he wanted was a couple mares to have a nice quiet life with. He would be there for them too. His own father had passed away when he was young. That hadn't been long after his mother had passed away. He was lucky he had his older sister and her children to call family. The brother he shared his land with he hadn't spoken to often. But he seemed alright. He scans the area and looks at the variety of mares hanging out. So many choices. He wasn't even sure what to look for. Did he want quiet mares or fiesty ones? His mother had been legendary in her fiestyness. Her name still left a sour taste on the mouths of many. He didn't remember her being horrible. The stallion remembers a gentle soul who loved him. Still he wondered if anyone here would run when they learned who his mother was. Would they care to know who his father was? His father was well known and had many children. Though he wasn't as infamous as some other lippizaner but his name was still spoken in the land.

Brown eyes come to rest on a mare almost white in coloring. Her movement was so lovely he just couldn't resist walking up to her. Moving his frame towards he is beaten there by another grey stallion. This one is dappled and quite handsome. Still he had a shot. Climbing the hill the two were standing on took little time and effort. Coming to a stop a few feet away he nickers gently. He hadn't caught what the other stallion had said. "Hello you two. My name is Akane of Plum Forests. Mind if I join you?" He smiles lightly and waits for the other two to respond

i don't want to lose control but i'm falling
As soon as the grey had emerged from the woods Karli’s head snapped round and her pale blue eyes locked onto his masculine frame. From her perch, she could see him clearly. He was handsome, quite tall, a pretty grey colour with dapples over his frame and he looked like he could take care of his mares. Her ears pricked forwards with curiosity, feeling a little more relaxed. She could see him coming so she didn’t feel threatened or afraid. The perlino mare turned her body towards him, her face, which was split by colour watching him silently as he climbed up the hill. His golden brown eyes caught hers, and the mare shuffled back a little; mostly to let the stallion stand on the hill also, and a little out of fear. She had not interacted with males that were not her brothers or father before, and it was a little daunting.

The stallion, spoke giving her his land’s name and his own – Legolas. “Good day Legolas.” She said politely, remembering her manners. Even if she had lived in Diego’s shadow as a meek filly, she still remembered her schooling on being courteous. Her ruddy lips caved into a polite smile. However, they were not to be alone for very long. Karli’s pale ears flickered back sharply as she caught wind of another stallion, and turned her head to watch him approach. The second stallion was also grey, but with bloody shoulder markings on his rump and shoulder, extending down his legs a little. He was built strongly but had a finer side to the way he carried himself as he came to a stop at their little group. Karli had been surprised that one stallion had joined her, let alone two.

The newcomer was less formal, but very friendly. The perlino mare flicked her tail round her hindquarters, glancing at both of them before speaking. “Nice to meet you Akane, and you Legolas also. My name is Karli. Could I enquire about your homes a little more please?” She said a little timidly, although she kept a smile bravely on her face as her blue eyes glanced to both her suitors, before settling on the first grey.

Till the roof comes off, till the lights go out
Till my legs give out, can’t shut my mouth.
Till the smoke clears out - am I high? Perhaps
I'ma rip this **** till my bone collapse.

Legolas watched as the mare took a step back making it easier for him to stand on the hill. The mare then spoke. He nodded to the mare and watched her, he wondered if he was supposed to ask any questions or not. Though the mares he had approached had always asked the questions so he just waited. He noticed her ears rotate back and he wondered what caused her to do so. The stallion heard hoof beats and he looked back. He noticed a stallion coming towards them, like usually he was not alone when speaking to mares.

The new stallion told his name then shortly after the mare told hers. Her name was Karli and he repeated it few times to remember it. He didn’t want to start calling the mare different names since that would likely cross him off the list. She kept on speaking asking the stallions to tell her a little about her home. It was a common question and Legolas was more than ready to answer her. “Raven’s Thicket has plenty of water and food, there are plenty shelters there, little caves that have formed from trees” he said to the mare, “and it is located in the Hinterland” he added, he knew that some mares were not so fond with living in the Hinterland seeing as non-equines owned the continent mostly.

He looked at Akane and waited for him to speak.

The lippizaner hybrid stands quietly and patiently waiting for one of the two equines to speak. It didn't take long. The pale mare speaks and introduces herself to the males. Her voice was a bit timid. He didn't blame her. She looked to be barely of age. Her first time away from home must be intimidating. He was a little nervous being here his first time. He wondered how she would take the fact that he was not the sole owner of his land. Though he wasn't a beta either. He just shared his father's land with an older half-brother. It was like he was barely ever there. Sighing he stays quiet as Legolas begins to describe his home. It sounds nice. Very nice. His grey tail slaps up against the red mark on his rump.

When it is quiet he realizes it is now his turn to speak. Smiling he glances at the other stallion before returning his gaze to the mare. CLearing his throat. "Like I said before I live in Plum Forests located on the Scantland continent. Its not as dry as the other lands there and sports many fruit trees that provide the sweetest fruits. There is a lot of grass most of the year. There is a stream that provides water. I currently share the territory with one of my elder half-brothers. That was a final wish of our father." He stops. Hoping she isn't scared off now. Only time will tell what she says or does next. He glances at Legolas then back to the mare. He waits for someone else to speak

Her hunch was correct, as the grey prepared himself to speak. He didn’t take much time to begin, like the answer was already formed in his head. The perlino guessed her question was quite common, although it was probably the only thing that she was concerned about. Both the stallions that had approached her seemed decent enough, and on her first impressions Karli thought she could be content with either of them. What mattered were their homes and any herd they already might have. The pale mare wasn’t adverse to any other mares, but having witnessed the tensions between Kohani, her sire and the other members of the herd, she knew only too well she would have to tread very carefully.

Her ivory ears pricked forwards as her split-hued face turned to face Legolas, ready to hear about his land. The grey’s answer seemed almost textbook, and although Karli had never heard of equines living in the Hinterland, it did sound hospitable enough. She gathered that he was not a foolish equine, so it must be possible to live there. When the perlino was sure he was done speaking she bobbed her head politely, offering the dapple grey a smile. “Thank you.” Her pale blue eyes turned to her other suitor, Akane. She noticed the polite look the rangier stallion gave to his counterpart before he began talking. She was a little fascinated with the reddish marks that dotted his alabaster body, now she realised they were part of his coat. In fact, both stallions were very handsome, despite their differences in build and hue. It was not going to be an easy decision.

As before with Legolas, she listened silently and carefully to what the second stallion had to say. This time she had heard of the continent, although Diego’s strict watch on her meant the lightly coloured mare had never really travelled much of the planet before. Karli hoped Akane was being true to the land itself, but she got the impression he was honest. He also mentioned a half-brother – did that mean there would be two herds? The perlino wasn’t sure on the intricacies but didn’t feel the need to ask as she gave Akane the same bobbed head and smile she had delivered to the grey. “Thank you both. Goodness what a hard decision.” She trailed off a little, her azure gaze turning first to Legolas, and then the Lipizzaner hybrid. In all honesty, Karli was sure she would have been happy with either. But alas, she had to make a decision.

“I think I am going to have to go with Akane this time.” She grinned at the bloody shouldered stallion, contrasting her feather-light words of politeness. “But thank you Legolas, I wish you all the best for the future.” With another small smile, she took a step towards her new claimer, ready for him to show her the way to her new home.
