The lovely dark palomino looked around. This seemed a desolate place. So sad the homeless mares looking to find a new life with a stallion spouting promises. She had been here before with her mother as a two year old. The stallion her mother had chosen was alright. Her mother had given birth to a rather handsome colt and seemed content in her new life. She didn't need her daughter anymore. That was all well and good for her. Sighing she motions her elegant legs forward and looks for a place to wait for her fate. A looker the young mare knew that stallions would flock to her. Her coat was almost chestnut-like but in fact just a dark palomino look. She is more graceful looking than her mustang father. She got looks from her half-arabian mother. Her mane the same color as her coat was long and flowing. White socks adorn only her hind legs and thin white stripe is present on her refined nose. Stopping underneath a tree she sighs. The heat of the summer is getting to her and she decides to wait here. Its far to hot to venture anywhere else. Though a gurgling stream is entincing her nearby. Finally giving in to thirst she walks to the stream and lowers her head to take in the cool water. It relieves her parched throat. When her thirst is quencehd she returns to her spot underneath the tree. |

![]() source Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style Ain't got not girl to make you smile But don't worry be happy Cause when you worry Your face will frown And that will bring everybody down So don't worry, be happy This was a rather relaxed day for the pinto stallion. He had been wandering around the homeless place for an hour or so looking for a mare he could approach. The stallion was looking for a mare that was around his height, not that it mattered much it was just often when he approached mares that they were much taller and the other horses around were huge around him as well. He was rather tall himself though but it had been quite a while since he found a mare his height. Devar had three mares at home, one was pregnant though, one was heading to the foaling quarry and one was hopefully arriving home. Dasha was giving birth to her first foal and as much as Devar had wanted to join she had wanted to do this alone. The stallion had come here in hope to meet her when he would head home. The stallion was rather nervous to know if everything would be okay. After convincing himself that Dasha would be fine he noticed a mare by herself. It had been a while since Devar had been here but there was one thing for sure, it was rare to see a mare alone. The pinto stallion started walking towards the mare. She looked young; the stallion was around the age of six. He hadn’t decided to settle down completely until that age. He had tried but it didn’t work so he started traveling as he had always loved. The stallion walked up to the mare and smiled warmly. “Morning” the stallion said politely to the mare. “I am Devar and hold claim over Glimmer” he said. “It would be lovely to know your name as well” he said. He looked into the mares eyes; they were standing under a tree that was covering them from the sun. He waited to hear the pretty mare’s name. She shifts her legs. This seems to be taking forever. Did she not stand out? She was mildly depressed thinking about it. She would be stuck here in Homeless forever awaiting a home. Sighing she looks at the ground. Part of her wants to give up and just wander into random territories till she found one she liked. But that could get her into trouble. Her mother had warned her against that. Her tail slaps her rump as flies are still gathering. She closes her eyes for a few moments and does not notice she is being approached. She vaguely hears movement close by but doesn't open her eyes. She assumes it to be another creature. Startled when she hears a masculine voice. Opening her eyes she ready for flight and stares at the handsome stallion. For a moment she is silent trying to get her heart to stop trying to break free of her chest. She looks at the ground and then back at the stallion. "I should have been paying more attention." She chuckles. "It's nice to meet you Devar. My name is Abigail." Her tail slaps against her golden hide again. "It would be lovely to know more about you. I will tell you a bit about myself." She smiles now a little more calmed down. She waits for the stallion to speak again. |

Where the points don't matter!

F L O R E N C E i keep playin' you part but it's not my scene The handsome stallion walked into the clearing, his strawberry tinted coat shining in prime's light. It was early autumn, and his winter coat had yet to start growing in, so for now he was as sleek as any day in summer. His mustang type build carried him easily though the Homeless grounds, his expressive brown eyes searching the mares for one the might be nice to talk to. After looking at a mare for a moment you could tell what kinda of equine she was. They way she held herself, talked to other, her body language were all factors that led the young stallion to his decision. But he was being extra picky, seeing as though he now had brought his love home, and he was thinking she wouldn't be too keen on just anyone coming in to the territory. Though Florence knew that other mares had to come in, and Quicksilver had to accept that. Without other around the trio would soon grow tired of each other, and lonely, so here the young stallion was, looking for suitable mares to bring home. After a while of wandering though the homeless the palomino's eye caught on a pretty colored mare. The best her could place her color was palomino, though she was a very dark shade, she was stunning. He moved towards her, though was beaten to her by a paint stallion. He was a palomino as well, and Florence chuckles inside at the coincidence. As he near the mare was just saying her name, and then went on asking about the other stallion. Florence neared, and stopped beside the paint. He gave a polite nod to him, and turned his attention on the mare. He gave the stallion ample time to reply to the mare, and then Florence launched into his own little speech. "Hello, pardon my late arrival." He started,a bit nervous at first, though going more confident as he spoke. "My name is Florence, Abigail, and I live in Cold Well. I currently have one mare, and adopted son, and very proud to say one of the way." He said, giving a little smile at the thought of his unborn child. "I am of Light alliance, and, if it's any help, I'm around 4 years old last time i checked, though time flies quickly, doesn't it?" He said, giving a little chuckle near the end. His brown eyes were warm, his posture was relaxed, and he felt comfortable in the mare company, and found he was quite good at this, though a better judge of that would be if mare went home with him. He gave the mare another charming smile, and waited for her to speak, hopefully giving a little information about herself. 4yo.-Light-Spanish Mustang x Quarter Horse-Palomino-15.1-Cold Well-Mares: Quicksilver-Foals: Cheney-#fb8a00 Edited by Chips909, Jan 4 2013, 01:40 AM.

She told that she should have been paying more attention and he chuckles with her. He hears another stallion approaching and he nods politely back to the palomino stallion. The mare tells her name and the stallion smiles. “That’s a wonderful name, Abigail” he then says to the mare. The other stallion excused his late arrival; he then introduced himself as Florence. He started by telling the mare where he lived and told him about the equines that were there. When the stallion finished Devar decided to answer his part. He cleared his throat before he began. “I live in Glimmer located in the Northern Mainland; I currently have three mares, two pregnant ones. Though one has left to the foaling quarry and I was hoping to meet her on my way home” the stallion said. “I am of neutral alliance though I spent my early years traveling around Kormada” he hoped that this was enough about himself and he would be glad to hear more about the pretty mare he was talking to. Devar didn’t mind about the other stallion, he didn’t feel any tension between the two and it would make the conversation a slightly more fun. He disliked it when stallions put too much effort into being in the spotlight. Of course it was important to be a little bit more in the spotlight but he didn’t like it when other stallions tried way too much and only came out of the conversation like jerks. Abigail 3yr old daughter of Breaker x Zelda. Light Alliance. The young palomino mare waits quietly for the handsome brute to answer. Her long tail flicks upon her hide. She is surprised when another stallion joins them. Another palomino hued stallion. She was liking this attention. The new stallion introduces himself and then spills his life story. Her ears flick back in slight annoyance but then come forward again. She would let this little offense slide. The first stallion did not seem tense and then started speaking as soon at the other was finished. How polite, she thought to herself. My mother would be happy that I found such nice stallion to speak with. Her thoughts go back to her mother. Wondering how she is doing. She wonders how her little brother is doing as well. She misses them. Shaking her head she looks at Devar. Almost missing his speech she pretends she had hear at least most of it. Her eyes looks at Florence. "Light, you say? I am a Light as well. There seem to be so few of us lately." She smiles at Devar. Even though he was a Neutral she would still consider him. The only thing that worried her was the possiblity of joining a herd with Darks. She didn't know much about them but they frightened her. "Devar, are any of your mares of the Dark alliance?" She smiles and looks at both stallions to await a response. |

Florence politely listened to the other males word, knowing he probably had more experiences in this, though he still tried to be confident. It was hard, seeing as though this was his first time. He kept his brown eyes mostly on the palomino mare in front of him, though let his eyes wonder over to the paint beside him a few times while he was speaking. Devar finished, and Abigail spoke to both of them. Her words warmed his heart, and a smile came to his lips. Indeed, there weren't as many as he would like left. She than turned to Devar, and asked if there were any Darks in his herd, and Florence knew this would help her decide on a stallion. He kept his face masked with a slight smile, and a charming look on his face. Out of the Homeless he could be a funny guy, making jokes, or pointing out funny things. He was a funny equine, and there seemed to be even less of those around as well. There wasn't anything for him to say, so he kept his mouth shut for the time being, though secretly hoped that the pretty mare in front of him would pick him. She seemed to be an honest, nice mare, and though she would get along with Quicksilver great. Though he knew there would be no telling until they got home. |
